I gave him my 2007 (169K) Prius because as the original owner, I know the reliability of the car and all the work I put into it to keep it going to 300K (fingers crossed). Nonetheless it is 14 years old car and Prius' are notorious for elaborate dash light displays, especially jarring is what I came to know as the red triangle of death, seriously called this once by a Brooklyn mechanic. My kid went to Zeppetella's within an hours notice of calling the shop, Tony ran a diagnostic, fixed what needed adjusting, and then actually walked my son through a few of the fixes he could do by himself. Having a dicey past with mechanics, mostly due my ignorance and lack of time to research in an emergency, I am so grateful that there are righteous mechanics and shops around that are experts at what they do, honest about the diagnosis, and willing to show an interested kid some tips on how to fix their own car. I had brought my 2011 BMW 335i there for a problem with the engine stalling, and that was the only thing; that I wanted fixed. They had called me about 3-4 days after I dropped it off, saying it had issues with the brakes, that were new but the service light was never reset. They kept trying to tell me that they needed to be replaced but I refused service, which, telling me doesn't seem very honest. But that's not the point of my review. My car had a problem with the fuel rail pressure sensor, and I told them that was the only thing I wanted to be replaced as it was the only thing making my engine stall, they still did over 4k worth of work, after I had told them only to do one thing. Then after I had picked my car up from them when it was "ready to go" the engine blew. I made it 5 minutes down the road before the engine went after the service. This is the confusing part. They had told me there was metal in the engine oil when I left the shop with my car. BUT when I originally dropped it off and they took the oil pan off there was no metal in the oil. They didn't seem to care whatsoever that my engine had gone after they worked on it. They basically said it's not our fault, and go F yourself. Explain how metal ended up in the engine after service, doesn't make any sense whatsoever. DO NOT GO HERE!! Thanks, Galati I am now left with no car because of you. UPDATE: After returning my car to carvana, they had pulled the engine apart and determined that the engine oil hadn't been primed before starting the engine. I cannot even fathom the fact this business had told me it was not their fault, when in fact, their unprofessional; supposed ASE certified mechanics could not perform the correct procedure to make sure my engine did not fail. This is completely outrageous, and unexceptable. Do better galati, train your mechanics better, you are advertised as foreign car repair, and if you don't know how to work on them properly, then maybe it's time to stop. This is completely unfair to myself and even carvana. As i said before, do not go here. They charge dealership prices so it would save time just to go to the dealer.
