While the frame selection was smaller at Mequon, the staff was very helpful and I found a pair. They delivered the glasses to this location. There was a mixup in the lab and they returned an empty frame so it took longer than it should have.

I was assured Dr Petrou could perform this testing and that I should plan for an hour to and hour and a half for our appt. The appt before us ran long, and so we were not seen until 45 min after our scheduled time. Upon giving background Dr. Petrou suggested we were there seeking a "second opinion" to my daughter's standard eye exam she had had earlier this year, rather than acknowledging our concerns as an escalation of care. She then explained that a more extensive examination would take about an hour which was not what was allotted for by the receptionist(s) scheduling but that she would proceed with a standard evaluation. I declined to point out at that moment that it felt like we were being rushed along to make up for her prior long appt. As it became clear through the exam that this was another standard Vision exam and not a Neuro-ophthalmologic evaluation I voiced my concern and was reassured in a somewhat condescending manner that this was a Neuro-visual evaluation. The gist was that my daughter should change lifestyle (sleep, hydration, diet) and hold her phone further away from her face (ignoring our indications that symptoms presented year-round when school-schedule was in place). She also made a snide comment about "Dr Google and AI diagnoses. The receptionists and Dr. should be aware of their areas of expertise and not take in business that is beyond the scope of their practice. We left very frustrated with our experience and have now booked an appt with a Dr. with the correct credentials, title, and testing capabilities. As for any future standard care, you can cross this office off our list of candidates. It seems, based on their ratings, that they do basic optometry very well, but they should know what is not in their wheelhouse too.

This is the first time I've been there, and already I feel comfortable and committed to staying with them. Today I finished the process of cataract surgeries in both eyes over two months, which had begun with the above paragraph entry. I originally sought Dr. Frame because he was in Milwaukee Magazine's Best Milwaukee Doctors article, and I made the right decision. One of his colleagues even referred to him as "the magician" during an appointment. He's a man of few words, but it's not extra conversation I wanted from him. I was seeing 20/20 out of each eye the day after each surgery. Magic? Maybe, but more likely an elite skill level. Almost as important was the fact that the Milwaukee Eye Care staff is outstanding in every regard. All are welcoming, and all obviously know what they're doing at a high level. They're patient and thorough with answering questions. If a little something doesn't work right, they find a solution. The surgery center (not the Milwaukee Eye Care staff) had a scheduling glitch on the first surgery and Dr. Frame's staff handled my concerns with the utmost professionalism. They took as much time as I needed to get everything right, which was absolutely essential to me when someone was operating on my eyes. Jimmy in the department that makes lenses and sells frames even fit my new lenses to existing frames that I like, and then he adjusted the frames so they sat just right even though they've got some mileage on them. If you want the best eye care available, you'll get it at Milwaukee Eye Care in Bayside.

I visited for a lost filling (lower right second molar). A crown was recommended by her. I developed excruciating pains throughout my entire upper/lower jaw, gums, teeth, and upper neck after her temporary crown procedure. This lasted nearly 2 months, right up until another dentist addressed the pain by removing her temp crown and putting on his own. At my follow-up (originally for the permanent crown), Dr. Murphy spent barely a minute looking in my mouth before confidently declaring how a root canal was a must, based on "90% of her cases," not any imaging or patient-centered examination. When I emphasized that I had absolutely no pain whatsoever before her temporary crown procedure, she only gave me pitying looks, said teeth just wear away over time, insisted on no other alternative other than root canal, and suggested a "second opinion" -- from her referred endodontist she would have perform it, and Murphy to place the permanent afterwards. With my concerns of rushing invasive procedure, she sarcastically said we'll wait it out a week to see if it is a "magical tooth" that doesn't need a root canal to rid of the pain. Alarmingly, she even warned that without a root canal, an abscess would inevitably lead to tooth extraction. My insurance denied coverage for her crown procedure, stating no serious signs of decay or damage observed on their end. When I brought that up to her, she countered that insurance coverage denials are common at her practice, that they are accustomed to challenging and even threatening insurance companies. Other dental offices I contacted thereafter while seeking a new permanent dentist all disputed Dr. Murphy's certainty of a root canal based on my symptoms, one dentist office explaining that even slight misalignment of temp crowns can cause the pain I was experiencing. Her abscess/tooth extraction comments were sharply rejected by these other dental offices I called up. Even Dr. Murphy's own assistant seemed confused about her abscess/extraction warning. I opted not to move forward with any further treatment past her temp crown, got my refund and set up shop with another dentist who removed her temp crown and placed his own. Within only a week of his procedure, my pain is largely nonexistent, and I can now eat pain-free on that side again-no root canal needed. Near 2 months of torture and agonizing pain because of Dr. Murphy's rushed pressuring towards a costly invasive procedure. I am now seeing an incredibly reliable dentist. Guess I have a magic tooth after all, Dr. Murphy. Patients beware!!!

I have been going to Premier Vision for several years now and have always had positive experiences there. This time, it was even better because of Abby's help. She not only helped me pick out 2 pairs of frames that look good on me, but also ones that allowed me to stay within my strict budget. I picked them up today and she worked hard to make sure that both pairs fit perfectly before I left. It's also nice to know that I can go back there when I need to for readjustments and new nose pads. As long as I have vision insurance, I will keep coming back. read more

Shopping for eye glass frames is not my favorite thing. I'd been putting it off, and putting it off for weeks. But I finally stepped into Premier Vision in Fox Point and was quickly welcomed by Abby who made the shopping and selection process quick, easy, painless and pleasant. I (seriously) just put myself in her hands and Abby found frames that looked really good on me. The rest of the staff was also very friendly, the store is well-designed, clean, comfortable and well-stocked. I would definitely recommend Premier Vision. read more
