This is one of the best places ive been to for breakfast. The food is very good, the atmosphere is comfortable and the servers are very attentive and welcoming. They all treated us like we were their table. I came with my family as we were traveling from tx to ca. Between the 5 of us we tried the biscuits and gravy, sweet potato hash, cronut, home made bacon, home fries and omelette. I have to say it was all really good. The flavors were great. I love that the chefs put a spin on everything to create delicious, memorable dishes. They could tell it was our first time coming and that we were travelling so they even gave us some tea and a pastry, on the house, for the road. I'd recommend this place to anyone stopping thru az looking for a nice, comfy place to get a grat meal. read more

My friend and I went to P & P on Grant on Friday for brunch. I had not been to a P & P, but had heard so many good things, I was excited to try it. What a huge disappointment. First, it is incredibly noisy. I don't understand why some restaurants think the ambience of a loud environment makes for a good restaurant. Second, the service was terrible. Amongst other things, it took requests to two different servers to bring ice for our water and they weren't that busy. Next, my meal included what was called a "home-made" English muffin. They were awful--tasteless, dry, and a terrible texture. My order was also missing some of the ingredients listed in the description of the item on the menu. I will say that the potatoes were pretty good. That's why I gave one star. We shall not return. Too many good breakfast/brunch restaurants in Tucson. read more

Excellent breakfast/brunch! This is our go-to breakfast spot, especially when we have guests in town. The food is always delicious made with beautiful ingredients in interesting combinations. The service staff goes above and beyond to accommodate their guests. We have enjoyed almost all the egg dishes along with several versions of their decadent French toast and usually also add a spicy and flavorful Bloody Mary to the list. Their bacon is a great addition to any meal as well. We look forward to many more meals there. read more

We were in Tucson for a wedding and this place was highly recommended as the breakfast spot by many wedding guests. We were there at 7:15 this morning to eat before are 8 hour drive back to L.A. Did not disappoint. The whipped chai butter french toast was to die for and the breakfast potatoes were like none other. Delicious. Clark took time to explain the specials and questions we had on the different items. He was wonderful. Have no clue when if ever we will be back in the area so we ordered different dishes to try and share. Have been here a few times. The food is amazing and the prickly pear mimosa is even better. Good service and wonderful staff. Usually always a wait since it's an amzing place. They do get you seated quickly though. I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes. It's nice that this location is close to my house and work. It is a little difficult to get in and out of the parking lot since it is on Grand road which is very busy. There is also slightly limited parking. read more

Went for the 1st time 1/5 on the suggestion of my son. He didn't lie. This is a place my husband and I have decided to go to again and again until we've eaten our way thru the menu, and then we'll start all over again. Hubby from Texas and knows his way around bisquits and gravy, got a wrinkled face when he saw the word "duck", ordered anyway, licked the plate. Don't be fooled by the name of the restaurant. While they do have pastrys the breakfast food was amazing. I just got the basic breakfast but it is far from it. The potatoes were banging. Holy god I love Prep & Pastry, but I didn't at first and I'll tell you why. Initially, as a vegetarian I felt like when they first opened they did not have any good option for non meat eaters which was really disappointing, but man did they change their ways! Now they have a whole "Plant Driven" part of the menu and the best item is the Chickpea Scramble hands down. It's filling, nutritious and hearty, exactly what you want in the morning. Their Bloody Mary's are perfect and even come with a little glass of beer to drink with it. The smell when you walk in is comforting and inviting, with bright white walls and tables, friendly cool staff, and a trendy family atmosphere. Come early because you will have to wait in line on popular days like the weekends. Also, if they haven't sold out yet, it's worth taking one of the pastries to go, especially the fruit tart, it will be the best one you've ever had, I promise. read more

Always delicious! The staff has always been kind. I go here with a friend who has brain cancer so this is our big days out when she can get out. The staff is so helpful and are generous with meal substitutions for ingredients she cannot have right now. She always feels horrible asking but they always accommodate and as a protective friend I love seeing her treated kindly for something she cannot help! As I said the food is fantastic! Stopped here on our way back to the Phoenix area. It received good Yelp reviews and we were looking for a breakfast restaurant. We were not disappointed. We both had the classic French Toast. The coffee is strong and the potatoes are delicious. I have always had good food at the original location. We had a disappointing late lunch today (slow food, waited even longer for one person's meal) BUT the manager walked over and comped the whole thing. Our waiter was also great - very attentive and apologetic. That said, I am really sorry that they use butter-flavored oil to grill their buns. (I had the steak & eggs). The artificial taste ruins the flavor of everything else it touches. For a restaurant that prides itself on the quality of its ingredients, they need to do away with this. read more

This is my favorite brunch spot. It is so cute inside and on nice days, they open the windows and let fresh air in. Prep always have a fantastic mimosa selection.
