We dined here for the first time to celebrate an Anniversary, and the staff was extremely attentive and welcoming. Our server Lisa recommended some delicious small plates that were brought out quickly and tasted exactly as was described. I had the butternut squash ravioli, topped with a generous amount of truffles, and my bride enjoyed the roasted scallops. I had been wanting to go here for quite some time. It was actually the building that used to be the garage I took my car, which is kind of crazy. I ordered a pasta dish that sounded like it would be really good because it was homemade, it was fine but hardly had any of the meat in it and didn't taste that homemade. My partner got a fish dish that seemed good. Got some cocktails that were good, not great. My favorite thing was the warm dessert that we ordered last. It was wonderful! Love this place! I have been here a few times and always had Tim as a server. I have to give him a shout out. He is awesome and makes the experience! Every time we have gone, everyone can't talk enough about his great customer service. He tells you things you didn't know you needed to know about the menu. I am mixing two visits here. The first time we came we ordered a bunch of apps and the scallops. The next time we ordered the salmon and pork entrees. Both were amazing. The salmon was cooked perfectly with a crisp exterior but medium inside. We have yet to have a dish we didn't like. read more

I have lauded this place as serving the best food I have eaten in WNY in 30 years. The food and presentation is beyond belief. But the FOH service has been decking for a few years. But not enough to keep me away, as the food is worth it. The last time I dined there before tonight, three of us dined there and spent 2.5 hours there and it was fine. Only problem was I was only able to order and receive 3 drinks. Tonight was beyond belief. Our drinks came after a wait, whatever, but our food arrived before we had a chance to order another drink. I ate 3 apps with water. When our server Nicholas finally came back to empty glasses he asked if we wanted another drink, problem is I ordered drinks 15 minutes prior. He actually said when I questioned him, "should I be looking for empty glasses and getting you drinks automatically". I said "actually yes you should". He rushed back with two glasses of wine and pretty much slammed them in the table. I then went to hostess and asked to speak to whoever was in charge. Apparently no one is. I said I don't know any that server anywhere near my table. He was replaced. Another took over and delivered the rest of the way. Upon leaving, Nicholas (the shitty server) said have a good night. I turned to him and said Fuck you! Back to the hostess and asked to speak to whoever was in charge. She said without being asked that no one had been unhappy with our server before. I again asked to speak to person in charge. She appeared to not know who that was. Bottom line, food is great but I'll never return, and I know they will recover, after such insulting service and bullshit explanations. Best to all who do. read more

"SAME FAMILY LEGACY. NEW GENERATION." I guess the previous generation did not explain what hospitality means to the new generation. We had a reservation for 9pm (made through their website and confirmed at 7pm via text) and we received a call at 854pm saying that if we were not seated by 9pm the chef would not serve us. We let the hostess know we were running late but would be there by 902pm. We again were told if we were not seated and ready to order by 9pm we would not be served. Being in hospitality and fine dining my entire career I have never refused a guest of mine, let alone, had a hostess call the reservation 5 minutes before a reservation to cancel them because the "Executive Chef" decided they are not staying or serving past 9pm. It is a shame since Prescott's has always been our birthday/anniversary/engagement spot. What was once a special place to us is now just another restaurant. Luckily, Remington Tavern across the water was available and provided an amazing date night out for my wife and I. read more

Some of the best pizza I've had in a long time. After rock climbing, we wanted to try a new place in Tonawanda. My fiancé found this spot so we thought we'd try it out. The are was gorgeous right by the water with several boats docked right by the side. Looking at the spot, it was packed, so we knew we picked a good spot. They had an outdoor seating option as well as indoors. With two massive garage doors leading into a rustic interior, the spot was gorgeous. Just a note, we felt rather under dressed wearing gym attire. We sat down and received incredibly prompt and courteous service. They've got craft cocktails, local drafts, and a bottle wine selection. We opted for the Brussel sprouts to start, which were immediately inhaled. These were cooked to perfection (with bacon) and oh my god. We rounded out the meal with a wood fired sausage pizza that had a chili honey glaze that rocked our world. This bread was so soft, the sausage was savory, and I literally forgot about the typical oregano/crushed red pepper treatment I give my pizza. Overall this place went way beyond what we could have imagined. Highly recommend this spot to anyone, and we will be back. read more

Everything here was delicious!! I went with a group. We ordered a variety of small plates. Each dish was full of flavor. Yellow fin tuna- was just the right thickness of tuna with a well balanced mix of ginger and avocado Roasted beets- personally I'm not a fan of beets but the blue cheese mousse, apples, walnuts mix actually made me want to get seconds. Cheddar puff pastry- resembled a cheese croissant with an outer shell. Was fine I would prioritize the other dishes mentioned later. ;) Scallops- (a special that night)these were very asthetically pleasing. They were a collection of mini scallops in a green sauce. Smoked salmon- (another special) one of my favorite dishes of the night. Smoked salmon spread with a crostini of some sort. The salmon was seasoned so that it didn't overpower the salmon Burrata**-best small plate there. Try it if your thinking about it. The burrata sat on top a bed of chile peperonata. Simply delish. Perfectly complimented the burrata. Also don't let the name fool you. It wasn't spicy at all but rather like a sort of bell pepper vinaigrette. Was a crowd favorite. Gnochetti-cheesy cream pasta Chocolate mousse cake- rich, creamy chocolatey.. need i say more? Pavlova- this dish was fab. Vanilla cream in a pastry shell with lemon curd Pistachio coffee cake- moist, cake with pistachio, right amt of sweet, right amt of spice drizzled with a pear glaze and a side of pistachio ice cream. Came here the night before Thanksgiving. The restaurant wasn't crowded and we were served quickly. I ordered the lobster with avocado mousse as an appetizer and the salmon for my main. The avocado mousse was served with a half avocado with some whipped mousse and a sliver of lobster meat. The half avocado was very underripe, while the lobster meat was tough and the mousse was a too acidic for my taste. I would not order this dish again. The salmon dish was served with potato and salsa verde. It was better than the appetizer and the crispy skin was well-executed. I would have liked a bigger portion of fish or more potatoes as I was still hungry after the meal and I am not a big eater normally. My wife ordered the mushroom pizza which she said was fine. She doesn't eat meat or fish and this was the only vegetarian dish on the menu because they were out of the pumpkin ravioli, so even though she had had pizza two nights in a row and didn't really want it again it was her only option. She did say that the pizza we had from Franco's the night before was better. All in all with two entrees, one appetizer, and a bottle of one of the cheaper wines on the wine list the tab was about $140 with tip. Let me start by saying I NEVER write reviews. I am only because I am so surprised and disappointed by our dinner last night and am hoping they don't make this mistake again! My husband and I have eaten here a number of times and have never been disappointed before! We absolutely love the ambiance! The cocktails and wine selection are always fantastic, as is the service. Last night, unfortunately, we were highly disappointed in our dinners. We each ordered the special - Wagyu ribeye, which was served with fried onion rings, mushrooms and grilled asparagus over celery purée......all delicious, as you would expect for $88 apiece, which we were fine with. The steaks were a good size at 14 oz and cooked nicely. However, they were drowning in some type of sweet, gooey sauce, fit for dry chicken or pork! The sauce completely disguised the natural taste and texture of what is supposed to be one of the best steaks in the world! WHY would they do this? This steak (and any quality steak) speaks for itself and does NOT need any sauce to bolster its flavor. It definitely stands alone! We were unaware of the sauce as part of the dish as it was a special that was verbally described to us by our server, not presented to us on a "specials menu". Had we been aware of the sauce, we would have asked for NO sauce. As such, we didn't feel comfortable sending them back. We did our best to scrape the sauce off, but there was so much of it on the plate, it was basically impossible! If nothing else, they should serve the sauce on the side. PP, you're one of the better restaurants around, please don't mask the flavor of your steaks with excessive, mediocre sauces! It's completely unnecessary! read more

Food was amazing. One of the few restaurants that offer foie gras in the buffalo area, everything was excellent. I would recommend the avocado salad. A fresh but excellent twist on classics. Service was prompt for outdoor dining which was a pleasant surprise, and they really kept everything topped off. I've been here three times and each trip has gotten better! That's saying something since we really enjoyed our first visit haha. The portion sizes are generous, the menu has something for everyone and the drinks are also delicious. The patio is so lovely if you happen to go on a nice day definitely try to snag a table outside. At our last visit we had the crispy artichokes, Brussels sprouts and grilled pork chop. Everything was phenomenal and will definitely be back. Swanky and yet friendly and approachable. Who ever knew that such a great place would be found in this area. It's the kind of restaurant that would be welcome in a NYC or Toronto or other big city location. Six of us came for dinner and sampled a whole bunch of items from the inventive menu: popovers.... and burrata.... and salads....and pizza.... and salmon.... and arancini.... and a bunch of glasses of wine and cocktails. Everything was amazing! The service was a bit slow though. Mmm If you're lucky enough to come on a night they've baked their Rum Butter Cake, don't pass it up! Not bad, but not quite great. Many of my fellow Yelp Elites have given high praises to this restaurant so I was really excited and my expectations were fairly high for my first visit. Everything from the service, to ambiance, to location was fantastic. The food- I would give a strong 6 out of 10. Their dishes are unique and different, but don't have any wow-factor to them in terms of flavor. We ordered the baratta, scallops, mushroom pizza, brussel sprouts and the chocolate mouse for desert. The pizza was really good, and everything else was just average at best. The service was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive and polite. He promptly refilled our water and cocktails from the bar and did an excellent job of explaining the menu and evening specials. I think this place has the potential of being really good if they were to work on enhancing the flavor profile of their dishes. Although I recommend visiting, I will not be running back anytime soon myself. read more

After a long, and relatively frustrating week (and yes, it was only Tuesday) we decided to treat ourselves to a night out to unwind, take a few breaths, and explore another restaurant in our new area. Prescott's Provisions sits in a charming little structure at an odd corner near Canalside Tonawanda, and having driven past it many times on my commute to work, I thought this might be a good place for us to catch our breath. We were not disappointed. First off, the service provided by Lani, or server, was beyond top notch. The atmosphere was relaxed, but not so casual that you felt like you were on your own. My companion ordered a margarita that simply didn't live up to expectations, and they quickly, without hesitation, replaced it with a glass of Riesling by her request. The food was outstanding; not too complex, and not too off the wall. Some restaurants have this need to make dishes that take longer to describe than to eat. "This is our pan seared wild caught Atlantic Salmon with haricots verts over artisinal field greens gently drizzled with a Tuscan balsamic reduction with a side of mango salsa, avocado jelly, and a yak tongue paste...." None of that. And no weird combinations. That isn't to say the meals weren't fancy, or well presented. They're just straightforward, good meals. In all we were able to relax, laugh a little, and have some fun while enjoying a new, fantastic spot. First let me say that I have had many meals at this restaurant and it has been one of my very favorite places for a few years. The food is always top notch, creative and delicious in taste and presentation. Out with my dearest friend in the heat of a 90 degree day we couldn't wait to sit and enjoy a lovely meal in a relaxed and cool environment. Sadly we were met with disappointment. First we were seated next to the open and very hot kitchen. We were "greeted" by the server who told us the specials and said you need to tell me your full order at one time. Ok, no problem, we knew what we wanted. We ordered two lovely cocktails, two appetizers and two entrées. As we sat and enjoyed the food and conversation, we started to feel very uncomfortable with how hot it was getting in the restaurant. Not only were we experiencing the heat because we are next to the kitchen, but the doors to the outside patio were open, and the heat and humidity were quickly rising inside. By the time our entrées arrived, both of us felt we could not even begin to enjoy it because we had sweat dripping from our faces. Looking around we saw patrons at tables next to us and behind us who were experiencing the same type of discomfort due to the heat. When our server came to the table and we asked for our food to be packaged in to go containers he asked us if we would like dessert. At that question, I commented that we cannot sit to enjoy our dinner because of the heat. His response was@ well it is 90° and humid outside." Now mind you, we love to sit on the patio on a nice summer day, but we specifically made the reservation to be inside because we were going through a heat wave during this week and we knew we would want to be inside with air conditioning. It's very disappointing when you're spending $200 for dinner and you're with somewhat of a cocky server and an environment that is not thinking about comfort level of patrons. Prescott provisions has always been a five star restaurant for me. I am giving three today because the attitude of our server and the comfort level that was very much lacking last night left us both with disappointing taste in our mouth. read more

My wife and I both commented to each other how we thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the dining experience here. We were politely greeted and promptly seated even though we arrived slightly early. Tables are either properly distanced or separated by solid dividers. We both felt comfortable with the precautions being taken here. Our server, Tim, was wonderful. He was always available when needed, very knowledgeable about the menu. and was very personable during our brief conversations. One doesn't wait long for anything here. The staff appears to work as a team. No matter who is walking by if it is seen that something needs to be cleared or your water is low, they address it. Each of these other members of the staff, though our encounters were significantly more brief, were also very polite and helpful. We started with oysters and sweet pea arancini as appetizers. Tim warned us that their homemade hot sauce while very good was also extremely hot. Wow, was he right. Taking his suggestion I put only a few drops on my oysters. It was very good, but had I used more I'm sure I would have been in trouble. We ordered the sweet pea arancini not knowing what to expect. I've eaten arancini before but making them with sweet peas seemed unusual. The chef here obviously knows how to combine flavors for optimum taste as these were truly amazing. My wife chose the halibut for her entree. She commented how good it was as well as how it was presented. They were served with heirloom carrots and I believe shredded cabbage. I chose the scallops for my entree. Scallops can be tricky to prepare properly. Not cooked enough and the centers are raw and unappetizing. Cooked too much and they are little rubber discs. These were cooked to perfection and like the halibut very nicely presented. They were garnished with small pieces of homemade potato chips and served with roasted potatoes and shiitake mushrooms. We both enjoyed our entrees immensely. For dessert we shared a chocolate moose type item. Their desserts are not on the menu, made fresh daily and told to you by your server. I can't recall what he called it, but it was quite delicious. I expected it to be quite rich and hard to finish. It wasn't and I easily ate every remaining bit of it. I highly recommend dining here. The atmosphere is casual but the food is gourmet. The staff is awesome. We were happy here from the minute we arrived until we left. read more

Best meal my husband and I have had in a long time. Agreed it's our new favorite (better than left bank, Bacchus, tempo- which are some of our favorites that top our list). Was hesitant at first when looking at the menu (not loving or having tried some of the ingredients listed in the dishes) but was adventurous and tried (a ridiculous amount) small plates and spilt 2 entrees with my husband. We got the foie gras mousse appetizer and it was surprisingly good. I've had foie gras many times before, but this was the first time it was sweet. The cow's milk burrata was delicious and so was the sweet corn arancini. My boyfriend was a big fan of the cheddar popovers with prosciutto. The steak was good (I ordered it medium and it came out perfectly cooked) and so was the pizza. We ordered all three desserts and all three were fantastic. Overall, they were full of flavor and well-balanced in terms of flavor and texture. I only wished that there was more cherry sauce with the chocolate cake to balance out the richness of it more, but it was still very good. 2. Service Our server, Roo, was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and told us all about the desserts and even the origins of some specific ingredients.
