Overall a decent experience. We ate outside on the patio which was a tad bit sunny and hot. The menu might be a bit limited for folks with dietary restrictions. Not a whole lot of gluten free/vegetarian options, but if you call ahead a few days beforehand they seem to be able to accommodate special requests. However, the food I had was very good. Service--especially given the pandemic--was on point. Lots of servers and runners that were genuine, polite, and attentive. Which, in the pandemic employment world is alone an achievement for any restaurant owner and demonstrates how the management of this establishment must truly care about their reputation and commitment to providing not only great food but solid service too. Started off the evening at the bar, enjoyed a cosmo, normally $10 but happy hour price is $7. Then moved to Hendricks gin and the bartender made me a Southside which was out of this world. Restaurant had to be 85+ degrees. Rushed through a $200 meal and profusely sweated through all of it (i am in good shape). Table next to us didn't even eat their meal and left with it in boxes. My wife had to get up before check as she felt she was going to pass out from the stagnant heat. I had one of the best meals in recent memory last month at Prescott's Provisions. I made a reservation online, through Open Table, and even though we ended up arriving earlier than planned we were seated promptly. It was a Saturday night and we barely missed the dinner rush. (I don't recommend dropping by without a reservation because this place is that good.) Service was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We choose from a menu that's recently been replaced, but some favorites appear on the current menu: fried cauliflower with charred lemon, herbs, 'nduja (served on the side in a small ramekin, without our request, so this vegetarian could enjoy the dish, too) and Calabrian chile aioli (yes, I'm looking at the current menu now and cheating but my mouth and brain remember) is a must-try appetizer. My fave = the DUCK! I had it when it was made with the apricot and also with the blackberry. All ways prepared it is hands down the best duck I've ever had. Great meal / service on the outside patio. It's a busy area during the summer, so there's a lot of action / people watching to do while eating. The highlights were the Burrata and the Popovers- both were some of the best versions I've had (ask for extra bread for the Burrata). One area of improvement here and for other restaurants is having a tablet pic or display of high priced specials - there was a strip steak for two for $80 I believe that sounded pretty good, but really had nothing to go by other than what the waiter told us. I'm baaaaaaaaack. I did it, i finally did it, i had the pleasure of dining here during their dinner hour. It's more their "thing" and boy they were not kidding. I had the most beautiful time that evening... we had the most amazing server.. hopefully as i keep writing i will remember his name. He was quite knowledgeable and was able to navigate us through the menu quite well, giving exquisite detail of the dishes we were interested in. Was it Matt? No.. give me a minute. While my brain tries to recall the servers name, i can at least remember the taste of all the food, like it was yesterday. Precursor; the items pictured are more than likely not on the menu anymore.. so I'm sorry to even torture you like this, but i must continue. Take a seat. Started with the burrata and lobster sliders. I am a sl*t for burrata, more specifically truffle burrata, but i will say the way they paired this burrata with the roasted peppers and evenly toasted bread, chefs kiss. The lobster sliders... my god. I was weary on the whole lobster in a sandwich thing but they did the damn thing. Onto dinner, i had this lovely lobster tail.. and my mother had pork shoulder? Both of which were absolutely delectable and, you guessed it, no longer on the menu so i will spare the delicious details. (I was also quite tipsy at this point so i can't quite remember every detail of the dish.. their cocktails... dangerous, in the best way) Lastly we enjoyed a flourless chocolate cake. So incredibly rich and creamy, and the perfect ending to a beautiful night. Outstanding food and service. The quality of both were top notch without the pretense. Our server was attentive but not overwhelming and had a deep knowledge of the menu. They have a wonderful wine list to suit any pallet. The two standout appetizers were the beef tartare and yellow fin amber jack crudo. Well balanced dishs that were perfect. We got to the restaurant right when they opened on Saturday at 5pm. We walked up to the front door, and they had a sign that said "sorry, all tables are reserved for tonight". Disappointed, (it was our anniversary) we walked back to the car, but decided to call and see if we'd get lucky and get a table. When we called and asked to be seated, the hostess told us that she didn't have seating for 2, but had seating for 4, which really didn't make sense. We asked her to explain, and she snarkily responded, "I'm just the hostess, I'm not the manager or the head chef." - so my husband asked to speak to the manager. When we explained the situation to the manager, he told us he had a table but we had to leave by 6:30. Okay, fine. When we walked into the restaurant, the hostess was extremely rude to us (she knew it was us when she asked if we had a reservation and we said no, but we just spoke to the manager). She walked us to our table, didn't say a word to us and angrily took away the extra settings. I'm not sure why she was so rude to us, but that behavior was extremely unnecessary and sort of ruined the vibe for our meal. For the entire duration of our meal, there were FOUR empty tables around us the entire time. The food was really delicious - the burratta appetizer was amazing. And I had the pork loin dinner and my husband had the duck. Drinks were very good too. Our server, Frank was very knowledgeable and made suggestions on what to order. read more

Prescott's Provisions is such a great addition to Tonawanda! The location is set right near the water. Our group started with a few appetizers pictured- the burrata, oysters and the lobster sliders. We loved them all. Two of us had the halibut which was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. One of us had the steak which was also great. We sat on the outdoor patio and really enjoyed the vibe. I haven't said wow!! at a restaurant experience in quite awhile and happy to say this meal was perfect. The only thing I wish was any different was if it could be a tiny bit cheaper so I could go more often but everything is very high quality. For appetizers we had the fried artichokes that came with a lemon aioli, smoked mozzarella arancini (4 to an order), and the ribs (4 to an order), we loved them all but I'll be dreaming of the artichokes and arancini. For entrees our party got the pork chop, summer corn ravioli with truffles, scallop entree and the rock shrimp tagliatelle, they were all so good! Scallops perfectly seared, hand made pasta, fresh truffles! We almost didn't get dessert because we were so full but that would have been a mistake. We split two between 4 of us, the brown butter with salted Carmel sauce, cherries, and pistachio crumble and the chocolate mousse cake with passion fruit, both came with scoops of gelato. They were both two of the best deserts I've ever had!! If I had to choose I'd say the brown butter cake just because it was so unique but honestly both insanely good! I'm so glad we were finally able to come here. Prescotts has changed my feelings about small plates. We got 3 small plates and a pizza all to share between my boyfriend and myself and it was the perfect amount of food (we were starving). The charred avocado and soft shell crab were beautifully plated and so tasty. We were looking for soft shell crab for a long time so we were delighted to see it on the menu. The sweet corn arancini was very crispy and the bits of corn gave it the perfect pop of sweetness. The lobster sliders were such a great portion to get a bit of lobster without spending too much. But the best part for us was the margherita pizza. It was so good that I was sad the experience of eating it was over when I took that last bite. So I really hope that's a permanent menu item. read more

This is the kind of place where you would wanna go for a swanky girls night out, and that's exactly what we did last Friday! Our server was very attentive and accommodating to start.... happy to help with suggestions. I had already checked out the menu and knew what I wanted ... the lobster pasta ($26) .... I believe the pasta they used was called Taglierini, which was almost like a cross between angel hair and linguine. I also ordered an Octoberfest beer (because we are entering that time of year) . My pasta arrived hot and in a decent helping, the lobster was plentiful too, which of course was appreciated since it was $26. I do wish it was accompanied with a salad or some bread though. The spicy garlic/herb sauce it was tossed in paired nicely. The atmosphere was classy and spacious, but the noise carried in the building- it was very loud. They looked like they had a nice patio too, but it was way too chilly for us girls that evening. I would go back again, but only as a special event or treat since the prices are kinda high... New restaurant in a spot where there isn't a lot of variety from the normal Buffalo food. The views are good. I'd definitely recommend making a reservation, especially if you are looking to sit on the patio. This place filled up fast, luckily for my party of 2 we were there around 5pm, before the crowds starting rolling in (pretty soon after we were seated) Food was ok, expecting a little more for the price. We were neither upset, nor were we blown away. Ambience was nice. Our server, Paige, was a sweetheart. Once the charcuterie platter was served we waited about 30 minutes for 2 entrees. My wife and I went to Prescott's for dinner last night. Normally, I wouldn't nitpick, but, there were just a few too many "nits" to pick considering we spent over $300 for dinner for two on a Wednesday. The good stuff: - presentation: the appetizer (seared tuna), one of the mains (Prime striploin), cocktails (Manhattans), and desserts were spot on. - The desserts. WOW! we were both exceedingly impressed by the desserts. Our server described my wife's as akin to key lime pie, and I had a pistachio rum cake. These were truly perfect. Nothing to nitpick about with them. - The service. Our water glasses were never empty. Our table was discretely cleared before we even thought about the dishes. We were not rushed in any way, and never really needed to wait for attention. - The atmosphere. A very pleasant vibe, comfortable, tasteful while sharp looking and well put together. The view over the water around sunset certainly doesn't hurt anything. The nits: - Our bottle of wine was really cold. We got the house cabernet sav, and it really should have been just a touch warmer. It seemed close to 40 degrees rather than 60-65 as one might expect. This really seems to have kept it from opening up ... - The seared tuna was beautiful, and tasted nice, but, there was a fairly noticeable "fishy" aroma that came with it. So while it tasted good, there was that lingering question as to whether it was as fresh as one would hope. - The salmon entree presentation. The filet was split into two pieces, which we presumed was because we mentioned we'd be sharing the entrees. Perhaps because of the split, the rest of the presentation was thrown off? I say that because the two pieces were pretty much swimming in a pool of the horseradish cream sauce. The roe and dill fronds on the salmon looked nice, but the amount of sauce sort of turned the salmon into life boats for the dill and roe. - The salmon's potato accompaniment was rather undercooked, to the point that there was quite a crunch to the half inch cubes of potato. I know some that prefer a less cooked potato with a summer potato salad, but it seemed a poor textural match with the salmon. This left me to suspect meant the doneness of the potato was not a deliberate decision. - More about the salmon's potatoes: there were not really enough. I wasn't expecting a super size fries quantity of potato cubes, but, I'd guess there were maybe 20 half inch cubes of potato swimming around in the pool of sauce. So the ratio with the sauce was just off. - The scallions accompanying the strip loin had the roots and were more difficult to cut than the steak. I can see the roots being an aesthetic choice, and am OK with it. That we had to saw the scallions into polite bite size pieces, was just another nit to pick. When a restaurant has a wine list with $1200 wines and a modest order runs a bill to $300+ for two, I feel it is fair to expect fewer nits. 2 or 3 and I'd be giving a 4 star review. Had the entire meal been as phenomenal as the desserts, 5 stars for sure. But, the striploin wasn't quite to that level (good for sure, but not quite great), and the rest of the nits just make me feel that maybe we didn't quite get the "A" game last night. B+ for sure and certainly not a C. Certainly, take my review with a grain of salt. Maybe I'm too picky. But, I feel I've had less nits to pick at similarly sized dinners for two which ran closer to $200 for the both of us. read more

The location was really neat + a unique and creative space and menu made Prescott's Provisions stand out for us! We ordered some cocktails to start, along with a yellowtail tartar and potato croquettes (crisp and delicious)! Splitting a mushroom pizza & a spicy seafood spaghetti was definitely the right next step. And with a finale of flourless chocolate brownie/mousse/deliciousness, we were set for the evening.
