The golf course is absolutely stunning, its incredibly maintained and well run. The staff is particularly helpful and friendly, big shoutout to Michael in the Pro shop who went above and beyond.

Green, nature and scenic to take in! Relaxing sport and spacious. Driver range is pleasant when one wants to swing and practice. There's a whole variety of golf activities to do here. Nice outing and putting skills to the test!

Presidio Golf Course has a beautiful golf course. My friend and I went to the driving range on a Thursday. We purchased a bucket of 100 golf balls to share for $16.48. Finding the driving range was super easy. We will definitely be back!

I had a good time golfing at the Presidio a few weeks back. It was a pretty well kept course and fun to play. Some things I liked: 1. Well kept fairways. They improved their drainage so the course was in good condition. 2. Some really nice views of the city from a few of the holes. Some things I didn't like: 1. Pricey compared to the other nice courses. I dont think its on par with the likes of Half Moon bay or Monterey courses. 2. Parking is horrible. Very limited especially when there are events. 3. Hard to get to unless you live or are already in the city.

Today me and my foursome played Presidio golf course in San Francisco and I was very disappointed. The course was in great shape, but the service was horrible. We started our round with a tee time of 7:00am. First group out. Once we arrived on the third hole we were approached by the course assistant marshall who informed us the foursome group behind us had called the pro shop to complain that we were playing too slow. I checked their GPS in the golf cart, and it stated we were only two minutes behind on our pace of play. I discussed this with the assistant marshall that their rules for the day was cart path only, which was not told of this until we got to first tee box, and the marshall had informed us of the rule. I then told him the group behind us (who called) were all walking with push carts, so they would be playing faster, and would have to wait until we finished on the greens because I felt we were on pace. We continued to play the course, but then we were again approached during our round by two more marshalls for a total of four times in the round, which ruined my experience on the course. We finished our round of golf at 11:38am, which is a 4hr and 38minute round of golf. I've been playing golf for over 35 years and have never been hassled by a golf marshall as much as I was today. One of my friends had mentioned, before our round of golf, he wanted to eat at the Presidio GC grill after our round, to have their smoked chicken wings, so I agreed. We ordered the smoked wings, Kobi beef burgers and drinks. As we were eating, we noticed there was a large wedding in preparation, and they were setting up the tables. As we ate, I notice a rodent/rat walking around the tables where guest of the wedding will soon be gathering and eating. I think this course should focus more on their rodent pest issues instead of attempting to harass a group of golfers who may have been playing a few minutes slow. Maybe allow golfers with golf carts to enter the fairways at 90 degrees if you wish to speed up play. I will never return to this course again!! Tony

The store is pleasantly well stoked!

Very rare for a muni course to be given these specs. So now this ain't your basic muni course anymore, it is now more premium...in greenkeeping, in price and demand to play. This was my first time playing on SF soil and I play almost weekly. I've played a few spots in Monterey, Half Moon Bay and this course has visually the same terrain, with coastal wet mornings and cypress trees all over. Now this course has no ocean views, but Lake Merced is visible from a few holes. I was enamored with the cypress tree lined fairways and the beautifully maintained grass all over. Now with all this high level groundskeeping, though beautiful is also where all the challenge is here. Because this course is fairly flat, they're using the cut of the grass to be the challenge or the penalty. The rough cuts here are borderline insane. A good challenge for a pro/near scratch golfer but very penalizing and difficult for an average to high handicapper. A 3 inch rough doesn't sound too bad, but it is long enough that if your ball touches this rough it will 1) be hard to find, unless you are on top of it; 2) lose any roll/distance as once in this rough, the ball will catch and stop, giving you a longer distance for your next shot; 3) it is hard to make a connection in this rough so that next shot will usually not be flush/ideal. So the basic gist of this place is 'stay away from the rough'. But for an average golfer that is just so improbable. Even a nice shot to a green that may miss just by a couple of feet could easily find this rough. And to be that close and to have a very difficult shot as a result, is just too much for me to swallow. Just took the fun out of the game...for me. So a tad too difficult for me, also pricier than what I could do on a weekly basis. $150 to walk on a weekend. My regular golf buds and I usually play much performance friendly courses for about $70ish. So this is definitely more of a special occasion type place. I still want to come back someday and see how I fare now that I know how things roll...or more accurately how they don't.

From the very beginning, the customer service was lacking. Before finalizing my event, I visited the venue in person to ask questions and get a better understanding of the space. The Hispanic male employee I interacted with was unfriendly, unapproachable, and unable or unwilling to answer even basic questions, repeatedly telling me to contact sales. While I understand that sales handles bookings, I expected someone who works at the venue to be able to provide some level of assistance or information. Unfortunately, his attitude remained the same during the event. Several things that had been requested were not set up as discussed, and the overall atmosphere felt unwelcoming. What upset me most was that some of my guests arrived carrying water bottles, and this employee openly told me, in front of my guests, that he would kick us out if he sees outside drinks again. I found this incredibly embarrassing, unprofessional, and completely inappropriate. The experience became so uncomfortable that many of my guests left early. For what was supposed to be a special occasion, the service and treatment we received fell far below expectations. Considering the amount spent, I expected professionalism, hospitality, and a welcoming environment. Unfortunately, we received the opposite. I would not host another event here, nor would I recommend this venue to others looking for a place to celebrate an important occasion.

Combined with the nice weather, the course is dry and playing faster than normal. I wish they'd maintain the course like this year round because if the greens were as a good as they were this past weekend, it'd be one of the best deals for public golf in the Bay Area. Plus you can't beat the views on a clear day of the Golden Gate Bridge. We came here this past Sunday without a tee time and were able to get 2some out with minimal wait. Making a tee time in advance is definitely recommended but if you are looking for a last minute way to get out to the course, walking on is possible. Since it was a hot day, we decided to get a power cart which is $50 for two people. It's a cart-path only course, which is a bummer but since it doesn't typically drain well, it makes sense. $50 for a cart is kinda steep considering the carts are standard and don't provide any type of GPS or anything. The course is very hilly, so even with a push cart, it can be a strenuous walk. Like I mentioned in the beginning, if you were thinking about playing Lincoln, now would be a great time since the course is in great condition.
