    Garlic knots

The garlic knots were decent. They had a nice soft texture and some garlic flavor, but I was expecting a little more seasoning and richness. Not bad, just a bit underwhelming.

Pizza slices have solid amount of toppings at ~$6 per slice. Easy to see what they have in display and then wait 5-7 min for staff to heat it up in oven. 3-3.5/5 overall rating: pretty average neighborhood pizza spot, seems really convenient they're open late. 4/5 - Rudy slice is like a typical combo pizza. Flavorful sausage and enjoyed this. Classic supreme toppings: pepperoni, salami, Italian sausage, mushrooms, green bell peppers, and red onions 3/5 - Morgan slice is vegetarian but had almost no flavor unfortunately. Toppings: mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, cherry tomatoes Crust was fairly dry and a bit hard to eat. Was also unflavored versus a softer crust of sourdough or salted dough

    Pepperoni and mushroom slice, reheated

Never know how you'll find something new. I was making multiple visits to visit an ailing friend and noticed this corner restaurant. One mid-afternoon, I looked in and saw a sign stating they sell slices. Walking in, I saw a glass counter with eight or nine varieties available. After looking and reading the respective sign descriptions, I decided to get two slices to bring home since I'd already eaten lunch. I first tried a mushroom slice (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=lmuspSPpyHxd-zcIPRHHdw&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q), having it for dinner that evening. I garnished it with packets of red pepper flakes and parmesan cheese. I liked the thinness of body of the crust as it remained firm but wasn't hard or dry. Meanwhile, the crust edge had an interesting chewy bread-like texture. The next day, I reheated the pepperoni and mushroom slice (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=YeTgmVafjg3FH_Wk3XqvWw&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q). Though I liked both pizzas, I enjoyed this more as the pepperoni and more generous portion of tomato sauce gave it more flavor. There were only a few diners in the restaurant and a few takeouts as I studied the slice options on the counter. The cashier/owner was courteous and efficient in giving me the slices. I will come again if my schedule is not tight and likely get a slice or two again to bring home. Good location given the number of medical buildings and hospitals within a two to three block radius. Parking can be challenging during meal hours but isn't bad during off hours. I stopped here on a Saturday around noon and they had just opened so I picked up another couple of slices for future breakfasts again.

    Veggie slice

Pretty good pizza, bad service. Dude at the counter was weirdly unfriendly and not helpful at all with any questions about the menu. The pizza was pretty good. New york style but kind of small. A veggie slice was $5.50 which is around average for SF pizza. The ambiance and decor is nice; they've got plenty of seating and a couple tvs showing sports games. Overall I think it's decent spot but they should improve their service.

    Rudy's Pizza Slice

Found this place near the kid's new apartment as we were moving her in to start her second year of college. Easy walk and we wanted pizza. I was a bit skeptical due to the ratings on Yelp, but the kid wanted to try it. We decided to get sliced of what we wanted to try, instead of a pizza to share. I wanted the mushroom slice and while I was checking out the other choices, the kid pointed out the Bianca (Ricotta, Mozzarella, Garlic, And Pesto). Sounded so good we each ordered a slice. The wife also had the Rudy's Pizza (Shredded mozzarella, pepperoni, salami, sausage, mushrooms, bell peppers, and onions.) The wife ordered the romaine and kale salad for us to share. It was a small and ended up being pretty good size and was perfect for the three of us and our slices of pizza. The server took our order at the counter and quickly brought us our drinks as soon as we sat down. The salad came out quickly as well. The salad and dressing were very good with nice, fresh ingredients. The slices were heated up in the pizza oven and came out piping hot. Burn the roof of your mouth hot. Awesome! They were all delicious. Next time I would order one slice and then order another slice, so the second slice would be as hot as the first one. The server and others were very attentive and checked on us several times to make sure all was good. It stinks that others had a average or low experience, as we did not and I know the kid will be back and when we visit, I will ask to eat here again. Go. Eat Well. Have Fun!

Grandpa pizza and Hawaiian pizza slices
    Kenneth K.

When you walk in, there are a good amount of seating area for you to sit in if you choose the option dining in. If you want a glass of water, make sure to ask the cashier because water is not self serviced. Got 3 slice of pizza from a list of selection. Grabbed Grandpa pizza with sausage, grandpa pizza without sausage, and Hawaiian pizza. Hawaiian pizza has a good amount of pineapple and cheese blended into the slice. As the slice was preheated, the slice has a nice cheese pull, but due to the thinness of the pizza, the crust is not very crunchy and instead more leaning toward the hard side. Bottom of the pizza has a bit of burnt resulting in the burnt charcoal taste being added onto the slice. Grandpa pizza with sausage and grandpa pizza without sausage in comparison to the Hawaiian pizza has more breading to it giving the feeling of eating bread with cheese, tomato sauce, pepperoni, and sausages added on top of it. Nicely toasted all around except the edge is a bit on the hard side.

This place was on point! For a cold fall night, this was the best place we could've picked. The service was immaculate and even though they were close to closing, they accommodated us with some cannolis. We ordered a few burgers and a pizza which we were too hungry for me to take a picture of. Just kidding!! The ambiance was quiet and chill. Definitely a place to stop by on a night outing.

So, it was good! Really) very responsive staff and fast service. The pizza was delicious and tender. My two year old son ate the whole piece! which means the pizza is really delicious

I originally had a reservation at a different time but they were…read moreeasily able to accommodate an adjustment for us. the vibe is dimly lit, great for a date night. since we had a party of 6, we sat at the communal table towards the back that can oversee the kitchen. although it was a large table that shared space with other parties, it wasn't small or intrusive to our dining experience. a very small gripe I had though was I didn't love the chairs at the table lol. they were heavy and difficult to move. we ordered a few crudos and pastas. we were surprised they did not offer to adjust the portion sizes to accommodate the table. most of the crudos came with 5 or fewer pieces. with exception of the oysters we were not told that beforehand and because of that not everyone was able to try everything. A bit more communication or accommodation would've been appreciated especially for a restaurant at this price point. that being said the standout crudo was the halibut aguachile. I think this was so fresh and the flavor combination is so unique with the sweetness of the stone fruit and the textures from the avocado and the hominy. the amberjack was also delicious too! it had a brightness from the citrus with the watermelon that stepped the dish up to the next level. the pastas were amazing! every pasta was cooked amazingly well and had an incredible bite you'd really only have with freshly made pasta. the orecchiette pesto was bright, not too oily and definitely surprised me as my favorite. the mafaldine cacio e pepe was a close second. the richness from the egg and spiciness of the fresh cracked black pepper was super, not to mention the pasta shape was so whimsical overall the food was spectacular. the dining experience leaves some to be desired. maybe not the best for large parties but for a date night or small party, this place could be a great choice

Amelia recommended one pasta dish per person in the party, to share family style (which ended up working well for us, since we also got three appetizers, and finished the meal with a small amount of yummy leftovers for tomorrow) so that's what we did, along with the starters... We got the "big juicy meatballs with tomato and pancetta," which were incredible; the bread was delicious and certainly is not just a side to the amazing (definitely juicy) herbed tender meatballs. I'd definitely get this again, along with the grilled zucchini with worm salt and mint, which was so flavorful and tasty. We also got the smokey romano beans with fire roasted tomato, which was also really good but just keep in mind the emphasis on the smokey flavor! It wasn't my cup of tea but that's for sure a personal thing. For pastas, I'd rank them in this order: 1. our favorite was today's lasagna du jour, which was mushroom! So delicious, with a crispy cheesy crust, soft tender interior, and an almost caramelized tomato sauce accompanying. 2. Reginette with pork sugo (meat sauce) and spicy turnip greens was next, which had wonderful flavor with the tomato-based sauce and pieces of pork but if you like it slightly softer texture it might not be for you (same with the fusilli; the go-to preparation is aldente!). 3. Fusilli alla vodka with tomato, calabrian chili, cream, basil, and added garlic butter shrimps; this one's sauce felt a little underwhelming and more watery than creamy, and I'm just now realizing that although the menu said four garlic butter shrimp (an extra $7), we only got three. I think I'd come back for the lasagna and/or to buy the pasta from their expansive stock, cook it a bit longer, and serve it covered in a decadent creamy sauce.

My boyfriend and I sat at the bar and our bartender was very attentive without being overbearing and very knowledgeable--he gave thorough, detailed descriptions and recommendations on the wine list and the food menu (beyond what I would've expected). He even replaced my water and apologized after realizing he poured it to the brim, which really wasn't an issue but I appreciated his correction anyway. We ordered the side of wood grilled corn to start, I ordered the malfadine al limone pasta and my boyfriend ordered the spaghetti pomodoro. The wood grilled corn had a nice char to it and we enjoyed the accompanying sauce and cheese on top; however, based on the menu description I was expecting a little more of a Calabrian chili flavor / kick. The pomodoro was good but nothing to write home about, and the malfadine was a bit of a surprise / the highlight! I enjoyed the curly pasta texture and loved the lightness of the sauce paired with the salt flavor and complexity of the salmon roe on top. We love a good dessert but nothing caught our eye on the menu this time, as we don't prefer the soft, creamy desserts like panna cotta (as opposed to something more tangible like a cannoli). Lastly, we also had the following glasses of wine: Verdecchio, Verdeca, Montepulciano, and the Carignan Blend. As someone that loves crisp white wines with high acidity and minerality, I loved the Verdecchio. The Verdeca was refreshing but too light and not fruit forward enough for my preference. We both liked the Carignan, as we like deeper berry flavors, and the Montepulciano was OK (didn't love but didn't dislike). Would definitely love to come back and try some of the other wine varieties and menu options!
