The first word that came to my mind after the first bite was: WOW. I stopped by Giorgio's and got a cheese and pepperoni pizza, and it was honestly one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. The first thing I noticed was the crunch of the crust, followed by the perfect balance of tomato sauce and cheese. The pizza was light, flavorful, and didn't leave me feeling overly heavy like a lot of pizzas do. After having just "decent" pizza for so long, this really stood out to me. On top of that, the gentleman working there was super kind and even gave me a water cup so I could fill up my Hydro. Small gestures like that make the experience even better. Definitely would come back again!

They make a great thin-crust pizza. The top could've been cooked a little longer as the cheese was oozing off the slice, but overall 8.1/10. Great undercarriage, the crust is crunchy and has a great snap when folding a slice. Service was great, the pie took 15 minutes to make. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Located on clement in the early aves, a very spacious restaurant on the corner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

It's been years since I last visited Giorgio's Pizzeria, but I finally came back for lunch to meet a good friend, and I'm so glad I did. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor has changed a bit, but the food still has that same heart and quality that made Giorgio's an institution in San Francisco.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For those who don't know, Giorgio's has been around for decades. It started with the father and has now been passed down to the next generation, the sons and daughter still run the restaurant today, keeping it very much a family operation. You can feel that warmth the moment you walk in. They are the warmest family. The pizza is still absolutely delicious. They're generous with their toppings (no skimping here!) and what I love most is that they'll let you do half-and-half, even on a small pizza, something most places won't. Prices are also incredibly fair, especially for San Francisco. Honestly, I'd say they're underrated and under charging with inflation. We tried the shrimp appetizer in marinara sauce with crostini -- so good -- and a new salad they're testing for their upcoming San Rafael location, which I heard is opening sometime before summer. I also had the chicken sausage penne pasta and one of their Everything and Corsican (veggie) half-and-half loaded with flavor. Everything tasted fresh, balanced, and made with care. I got lucky and saw the family all there. It was nice to see the family working together, one of the siblings was making dough while the others ran the dining room. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The crowd was a great mix of longtime locals and families, and it just felt... real.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They do takeouts and delivery through third party platforms but honestly, dining in has its own charm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Located right on Clement Street, Giorgio's sits in one of the best pockets of the city -- close to shops, Green Apple Books, and a few dessert spots for a post-pizza stroll.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you grew up in San Francisco, you know Giorgio's. And if you haven't been yet, go. It's one of those family-run places that reminds you why local spots matter. Just remember to feed the meter -- it's San Francisco, after all.

Giorgio's is a gem in Richmond. I have been here countless of times. My children grew up eating Giorgio's, and now my granddaughter eats here in the summer when she visits. Giorgio's offers very basic and original pizza. We always order the original crust, double pepperoni and double mushrooms. In the old days there went that much choice, but now there are options of how you want the crust baked: golden, crispy, half baked.... We mostly ordered to go or splurged on delivery occasionally, because street parking on Clement and in the Richmond is as rare as gold!

Service was professional and welcoming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place has a cozy feel. Suitable for young people, couples, families, and large groups.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Garlic bread was great. Buffalo wings with ranch was delicious. All 4 pizzas were well made and good serving size. Totally welcome it when you're in the area.

Wonderful service Garlic bread was incredibly yummy :) Calzone was huge! Pizza dough for kids (parents too!) to play with Pizza & Alfredo was just ok. But that pull away cheese effect when grabbing a slice was enjoyable to watch and participate in. Will be back!

Being able to grab pizza by the slice is always a great convenience and you can't really go wrong with a $5.50 pepperoni slice. They have a window to order outside for even more convenience. My slice was ready in about 10 minutes and while a good amount of wait, the slice was nice and hot as it was just prepared. Slice was a solid 7/10 and for a quick bite served its purpose.

Old school NY style pizza parlor with a nice variety of custom calzones, all wrapped into a friendly Italian family vibe. The pizza is thin with a crispy outer crust while maintaining that signature cheese pull goodness in the middle. We opted for half everything and half Chicken Pesto which I'm pleased to say are both excellent noms. The Rossi Calzone is a nice change of pace and they offer a size for every size of appetite. It's essentially a folded pizza in itself which makes it much more filling that it might appear initially so feel free to share this!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Came for the atmosphere, stayed for the... smells? This little pizza spot has the vibe and the aroma down perfectly[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], but the actual slice was a letdown. The crust was crunchy to the point of being a cracker, and the flavor just wasn't there. For the price, you're better off with a frozen pizza. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Disappointing, as the place itself is so charming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] While, the service at the counter was a bit passive aggressive for such a simple transaction.

I've been to Tony's a few times, and the first two times, my hub and I have left raving about it and telling all our friends and fam to get to Tony's. If any menu item says Grandma in it.... you can be sure it's an incredible pizza. They're extremely accommodating and service is great. It's a l w a y s busy, even on weekdays, even in the middle of the work day. Reservations are smart! Parking is not easy but not impossible in the area. We live in the city so we always take public transportation. Within the last 6 months, I've discovered a gluten and dairy allergy that really took me down. Without getting into the gnarly details, it wasn't fun and I've been grieving pizza since this new discovery. So why would I go to Tony's with this new allergy? Because! I read that they offer a gluten free, dairy free pizza. Insane I know, but yet they offer it and I was PUMPED. When asking the waiter what I can get based on my needs, he responded to me like I was a war criminal. He was a Caucasian gentleman with brown hair. He raised his voice for all the diners to hear about my allergies, told me I couldn't get any pizza, and when I pointed out that there were options, he told me "I'll triple check if this is possible for you." When he came back and confirmed it was possible, he tells me they can do a gluten free pizza with vegan cheese and vegan pepperoni. It felt like the moment he heard 'gluten' and 'dairy,' he mentally categorized me as 'vegan' and stopped looking for ways to make the experience enjoyable. Yikes! Lol I fully recognize - girl, why did you go to a pizza spot with a gluten and dairy allergy? Yes I am not okay for this hahah but also I felt pretty embarrassed and treated really poorly. This experience doesn't reflect Tony's as a whole, but it was just a terrible interaction and that waiter made it real clear that he has no patience for anything that is inconvenient during his work shift.

Here's how it went: Service: friendly. Once off hold on the phone, and when picking up, the staff was pleasant for sure. The space: convenient walk up counter. Love a good sticker wall, and the display was nice to have. Value: honestly reasonable, especially comparatively. Ordered a small cheese and a small garlic and clam and two people could for sure share a small. Taste: other recent reviews are hitting it on the head - while the garlic and clam was decent (3.5/5), the cheese struck a core memory of elementary school cafeteria pizza (just without the tiny pepperoni diced cubes, 2/5), and both were just lukewarm, soft/not at all crisp, and just weren't packing much flavor at all. I can see Golden Boy being a workable late night solution for the City that Goes To Bed Early, but not much else beyond that at this point. Rating 3 stars at places with nice people working is not my favorite, so I'm glad that it's an institution and has stood the test of time and truly hope that they can/will calibrate on elevating their formula here, because I want to see this place deserve the love it gets.

The pizza has charred edges like Neapolitan which adds a nice smokey flavor. The crust has zero flop and a nice golden crust on top. Sauce has a tough of sweetness. I also enjoyed their use of fresh basil and the grated Parmigiano-Reggiano they throw on at the end. It's kinda like a new york slice, but a little gourmet? Very tasty for sure. Critiques: First off, each slice is $6-7, which is a bit steep. Maybe times have changed, but this is def not a budget meal, especially if you are eating multiple slices. Second, some of their already crispy slices have been sitting on display for some time and completely cooled down. When these slices are then reheated, there is a bit of an overcooked taste? Lastly, they only have a few topping options and the quantity of toppings on each slice (especially protein) is pretty sparse. I also ordered a slice of the Sicilian as well to mix things up. It was good, but the crust was just a touch too greasy for me.

When we arrived, our waitress didn't seem very knowledgeable about the beers, but honestly, that wasn't a big deal. My boyfriend ordered his pizza while I was still deciding what I wanted. His pizza came out very quickly, which we had no complaints about. The issue started when we had barely been seated for about 15 minutes. I went to the restroom, and while I was gone, the waitress approached my boyfriend while he literally had pizza in his mouth and a full beer in front of him and told him, "My chef said to charge you." He was confused but said okay because it made us wonder if they were closing. I checked the hours, and they weren't supposed to close until 10 PM--it was barely around 9 PM. I HADN'T EVEN ORDERED MY FOOD YET. I was still planning on ordering my own pizza, dessert, and a drink. Instead, we suddenly felt like we were being rushed to pay and leave. What made the situation even more unprofessional was that she left the payment device at our table for Apple Pay and then actually left the restaurant. She was the only server we had seen around, so we were basically left sitting there with the payment device and no server. We eventually had to get up ourselves to find someone so we could ask for boxes and return their payment device. No one had even asked whether we needed boxes, wanted anything else, or were finished ordering. My boyfriend didn't even finish his beer because at that point the entire vibe had changed and we just wanted to leave. We had driven an hour specifically to try this restaurant and were genuinely excited about it, which made the experience even more disappointing. I completely understand if a server's shift is ending, but there is a professional way to handle that--especially when customers are still actively eating and one person at the table hasn't even ordered yet. Someone could have simply explained that her shift was ending and introduced whoever would be taking over our table. Instead, we were made to feel like we needed to pay and leave. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed the experience. We really wanted to like this place, but being treated this way after driving an hour to come here was extremely disappointing and unprofessional.
