The first word that came to my mind after the first bite was: WOW. I stopped by Giorgio's and got a cheese and pepperoni pizza, and it was honestly one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. They're generous with their toppings (no skimping here!) and what I love most is that they'll let you do half-and-half, even on a small pizza, something most places won't. Prices are also incredibly fair, especially for San Francisco. Honestly, I'd say they're underrated and under charging with inflation. We tried the shrimp appetizer in marinara sauce with crostini -- so good -- and a new salad they're testing for their upcoming San Rafael location, which I heard is opening sometime before summer. I also had the chicken sausage penne pasta and one of their Everything and Corsican (veggie) half-and-half loaded with flavor. Everything tasted fresh, balanced, and made with care. I got lucky and saw the family all there. It was nice to see the family working together, one of the siblings was making dough while the others ran the dining room. My wife and I had one our first dates here in early 1982. At the time we'd order a medium antipasto salad and a large calzone D (now the Divisadero). And we have visited here nearly every time we come to SF for a Giants game (we moved to 30 miles east of Sacramento in 1987). We love this place. We brought our daughters here over the years and they, now in their 30's, bring their husbands here when they visit SF. Our most recent visit on 7/26/2026 exceeded expectations. We came for dinner after a Giants loss and Jeff seated us right away. He was awesome. He demonstrated "Unreasonable Hospitality " ( great book on a small restaurant working its way towards Michelin status). And James as well. Jeff and James set the tone for our experience The whole staff worked together for a great service experience. And the food- it has stood the test of time extremely well. It was like stepping back in time. So consistently perfect every time over the years. Not sure how they do it. We want to congratulate ownership for their diligence in producing such an excellent product over years. Great work hiring in great talent and training so well! And to the chef and kitchen team! Giorgio's is a gem in Richmond. I have been here countless of times. My children grew up eating Giorgio's, and now my granddaughter eats here in the summer when she visits. Giorgio's offers very basic and original pizza. We always order the original crust, double pepperoni and double mushrooms. In the old days there went that much choice, but now there are options of how you want the crust baked: golden, crispy, half baked.... We mostly ordered to go or splurged on delivery occasionally, because street parking on Clement and in the Richmond is as rare as gold! read more

The Caesar salad was fresh and perfectly dressed, the mozzarella Caprese was simple and flavorful, and every single pizza was outstanding , crispy crust, rich sauce, and high-quality toppings. The eggplant Parmesan was rich, comforting, and full of flavor. The service was absolutely fabulous. The young server helping us was so attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming , it made the whole experience even better. Being able to grab pizza by the slice is always a great convenience and you can't really go wrong with a $5.50 pepperoni slice. They have a window to order outside for even more convenience. Old school NY style pizza parlor with a nice variety of custom calzones, all wrapped into a friendly Italian family vibe. The pizza is thin with a crispy outer crust while maintaining that signature cheese pull goodness in the middle. We opted for half everything and half Chicken Pesto which I'm pleased to say are both excellent noms. The Rossi Calzone is a nice change of pace and they offer a size for every size of appetite. I grew up in the neighborhood (Jordan Park) and have been coming here literally all my life, since the early 80s. I have to say, the thrill is gone. It just isn't what it used to be. At the same time, Rose has moved in down the block and the pizza is honestly far superior. I think they are going to eat Georgio's lunch, and unfortunately, that would be justice. Came here for dinner on a Saturday night with a friend's family after playing SF tourist for the day. We had a party of 9 so we had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. While waiting we noticed that this place gets a lot of take out orders which is good for them. The staff was friendly and helpful and let us order before our table was ready so that we could get our food quicker when our table was ready. This is what we ordered: House salad (straight and to the point starter salad) Chicken sausage rossa penne (this was a big hit especially with the kiddos and the first dish to be done) Half pepperoni and half cheese pizza (for the kiddos) Half Hawaiian and half Giorgio's Special (for the adults) Both pizzas were great and almost all finished. If you are a True native San Franciscan or are new to San Francisco and raising a family in the San Francisco Inner Richmond or Presidio Heights, Giorgios is YOUR pizzeria. Yes there are new-fangled pizzerias like Amici's, Tony's Slice House which I love but we are talking about Tommasso's and Pasquales level pizzerias. Although it became a takeout only pizza joint during Covid, they did a 50 year old remodel and although much is different as they just reopened their new dining room it just feels good to be back. They have reopened their dining room hours til 7pm for their soft reopening. Menu is the same but visually updated, entrance is now on Clement and not on the corner. Seating area has three fewer booths but appears to cater to more big groups, although capacity seems lower. The pizza crust seems slightly different, but if you are nostalgic for your childhood pizza, this place will bring back memories. Came back to the restaurant with my kids who were home for the holidays and they did seem to still feel at home, so that is a good. Less busy even on a Sunday night after the remodel.
