I have been here a few times for dinner with co-workers, and it is always so good! The inside if tiny, the tables are small and the lack of space can be a bit uncomfortable, but manageable. I recently discovered the outdoor, patio dining area in the back of the restaurant, it's adorable! Great space for grabbing food in the sun and throwing back some drinks. This places specializes in paninis and Belgian fries. I love the Belgian fries and the array of sauces you can get with them, I usually never leave the bowl empty, too good, bold flavor, and perfect texture. The brie plate appetizer is the way to go. It comes with sliced brie cheese, sliced pears, sliced apples all drizzled in honey. I get the same wrap every time I come here because it's so good; ham, brie cheese, and mustard. There is definitely a hugely impressive sandwich selection on this menu and it can be hard to choose. The sangria here is on point. I find the drinks to be delicious and pretty strong, you get your money's worth. The service here is outstanding and very efficient. I've never been disappointed in coming here! So good! The inside of the restaurant has indoor, outdoor, and bar seating. The restaurant features cold and hot panini's, salads, soups, burgers, and appetizers. I highly recommend getting their panini's, I've never been disappointed. They are packed with flavor and the juices run down your hand when you eat it. The panini's are made with crunchy ciabatta bread. I once ordered their steak salad and I had the hardest time eating it because the mozzarella and tomatoes were in large chunks or slices. It was awkward to eat and I had to cut everything into tiny pieces. Their fries are easily addictive, especially when you order the chipotle mayo along with it. My favorite sandwich is the grilled steak, avocado, onion jam, mozzarella, and roasted red pepper mayo. The turkey, guac, tomato, bacon, monterey jack, and chipotle mayo is a very close second! Each panini is served with their own pickles and it's fabulous! I hate pickles with a passion but I LOVE Press 195's pickles! My friend has been dragging me out to Bayside for Greek food for a few months. Now, Avli is really delicious, but my friend also knows how much I love sandwiches so I'm a little upset that she's been hiding this gem from me. Came on a weekday evening and had to wait 10-15 minutes for a table, but from the menu I could tell that it was going to be worth the wait. After we were seated, it took me a long time to thoroughly look through the menu and decide on what I wanted. But we ordered soon enough and sipped on free refill sodas while we waited. My friend and I decided that the best introduction to the restaurant would be to order two sandwiches and split them. So we shared the #37 (homemade meatloaf, mashed potato, cheddar cheese, and gravy) and the #21 (turkey and fontina cheese with a cranberry and roasted pear chutney). They were both so amazingly delicious. The meatloaf one was very heavy because the meatloaf was dense and moist, and the mashed potatoes were very carb-y, and there wasn't too much gravy. I liked the turkey and fontina a little more though. It was more complex flavor-wise and lighter. We also got a side of garlic mayo which went well on both of the sandwiches. My friend also got an artichoke and chicken soup (something like that), but it wasn't very good and was honestly forgettable. Stick with the sandwiches. And the fries... An awesome gem in Bayside for a yummy and filling lunch or dinner. They have so many different panini/wrap options, so it's impossible to find something that doesn't suit your taste. The only con is that I believe they raised their prices recently.. My friend and I split the belgian fries and each had a panini and a beer for lunch the other day, that set us back $25-27 each, which is pretty hefty for casual meal in Queens. The food is quite amazing and I would give five stars based on the food alone but unfortunately, the service was horrendous. Waited a good half hour just to have someone take our beverage order. When the food finally came we were understandably starving and it was delicious but no one came by to see how we were doing. Did we need another beverage? How's your food? It's easy to pass in front of Press 195 and assume this is just another fratboy sportsbar, like every other place in this ghastly depressing stretch of Bell Blvd in Bayside. Far from that, actually; skip the anonymous bar at the front and head directly for the outdoor space at the back: nice, quiet, and unpretentious, I guarantee you will like it. The sandwiches, which are all made with delicious ciabatta bread, are very tasty and very inventive. You have about 40 hot pressed sandwiches to chose from, and all the ones I tried were all good. Like #8 (homemade roast pork, ham, swiss cheese, pickle chips and roasted garlic spread), or #35 (Prosciutto di parma, sliced pears, fontina, arugula and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil). At around $9 apiece, these babies ain't cheap, but sure they're tasty! Also, an extra star for their outstanding selection of beers, both on tap (last time I tried the Outrage IPA; really excellent brew) and bottled (Ommegang, Arrogant Bastard, etc...). I came here on a weekend around 12PM with my family. It was a nice and sunny day so we decided to sit outside. The waiters came and took our orders in a quick fashion and were super friendly with recommendations. About 15 mins after we sat down, the waiter asked us if we wanted to move inside because it looked like it was going to rain, and good thing we did because once we moved inside and settled down, it started to pour. To start we got their famous Belgian fries which is similar to pom frites's style. They have a bunch of homemade sauces you can try for 25 cents each. We got the roasted garlic, chipotle jalapeno mayo, and honey jalapeno mustard. I thought they were a waste of money, the ketchup was the best. Since this was a sandwich place we all naturally got pressed sandwiches. Grilled sliced steak with avocado, sweet onion ham, fresh mozzarella and roasted pepper dressing. - This was amazing, the steak was cooked perfect and the sweet onion was haven. Grilled lemon chicken with fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers and balsamic vinegar - This was not bad, but the chicken was a little dry. Crispy panko breaded chicket cutlet with homemade marinara, basil, parmesan reggiano and fresh mozzarella - very good. Been here a few times for lunch and dinner. On weekends be prepared to expect wait times from 10 minutes to as long as an hour. I guess that alone should tell you how popular this place is amongst locals. What keeps us coming back is the waffle fries with the restaurants selection of homemade sauces. I had decided to try this place due to Yelp reviews. The place was much smaller than I thought it would be. Wifey and I went on a Monday night. The place was packed with people. I can't imagine how packed it is on a Friday or Saturday night. It took us a while to order from the menu since it had such good choices. We had figured it's best to call in the order and pick it up. When we got there, we were told to wait at the bar for the bartender to get our food. It's hard to reach over to pick up your order as well as to sign the receipt since the bar area was so packed. The last thing I wanted was to accidentally elbow someone who is sitting there drunk..then cause a fight. If that were the case, I would have to post not only the attached pictures of the food, but also black eyes haha. I had the Bell BBQ Classic sandwich which was pretty good. You can definitely taste the fresh cilantro and avocado. My wifey had the grilled zucchini, yellow squash and red pepper with fresh spinach and roasted garlic spread. She really enjoyed her sandwich. I had ordered the Belgian fries with both roasted garlic sauce (it wasn't that good) and pineapple sesame sriracha sauce (this one had promise...it has a unique flavor to it..much better than the roasted garlic sauce!). The fries were cold. Even though we had picked up the food about 25 minutes after we placed the call...the fries tasted as if they were out for hours..not good at all. Parking was tough by the way. Some of the side streets didn't have enough space for cars coming from different directions. So be careful if you drive there. Press is great, a friendly staff and a long list of options to choose from. The Belgium fries are a must order and are awesome, tender and crispy. 1 order is more than enough for 2 to share. Have them bring them out first. The paninis tend to take some time, so you can munch on the fries while waiting and enjoy them piping hot. The #38; Grilled steak, avocado, sweet onion jam, fresh Mozzarella and creamy roasted pepper dressing, was divine. The steak was cooked well and was quite tender. Whatever my assumptions were, Press 195 proved them wrong AND went beyond my expectations. SANDWICHES CAN BE AMAZING, if you're at Press 195. This place only looks tiny from the front, but what most people don't know when just passing by is that there is an outdoor seating area that is so SO perfect for hangouts/dates. There are white lights strung overhead, cute wooden tables and seats, candles and the entire atmosphere makes you forget you're eating in Queens. I visited in the early spring so it was still a bit chilly outside, but I bet summer nights here are amazing. This isn't JUST a sandwich place. They have other options on the menu. Burgers, wings, soups, salads. Whatever you do, definitely get the belgian fries. UGHhhhHhhhHhhhhHhh. I'm in love. I could be happy with the fries and sauces alone. Me and a friend came here after class around 6:30pm on a Tuesday. It was already pretty crowded so we sat at the bar, looked through their extensive drink list and decided on getting two Son of a Peach Wheat Ale's. We realized that our stomachs were empty so obeying the cardinal rule "Never drink on an empty stomach", we added some Tomato Olive Bruschetta to our tab and took advantage of Yelp's check-in deal for free Belgian fries. Their choices of dips all sounded great but we decided to try their Honey Jalapeno Mustard dip. I'm definitely going back to have some more fries and try their Roasted Garlic & Chipotle Jalapeno Mayo dips next time! The fries were crispy and had enough salt, I only wish there were more, but can't really complain since they were free of charge. However, if it weren't for the deal, $6 for fries is pretty steep. Another pet peeve of mine is that they charge an extra 75 cents for the dips! If anything, the dips should come free. For 75 cents, I was expecting a small bowl, but instead we received a tiny medicine cup sized dipping sauce...NOT COOL! and certainly not enough! It's a good thing their dips are THAT good or else I would've docked a star from their rating. The bruschetta was mediocre; with fresh tomatoes and olives served on top of five toasted garlic rounds, with a thin layer of goat cheese and fresh basil. It came out cold and the bread tasted very stale. I was really disappointed since they charged us $8.50 for this. Overall, the food came out quickly, had several people check in to see if we enjoyed our food, and it was just a nice place to sit and chill. But what really stood out was #29 Grilled marinated sliced steak, tomato, Provolone cheese, onions, and homemade chimichurri sauce ($9.25). The flavors seemed to mesh so well together. The sharpness of the cheese balanced with the sweet onions and favorful slices of tender steak. But let's not forget the chimichurri sauce that knocked this sandwich out of the ballpark, amazingly delicious with a nice kick to it. You'll also need to remember to get an order of the Belgian Fries ($6.00) which can usually be shared between 2-3 people. Although it is served with a small container of Ketchup, there are also Specialty Sauces ($0.75 each) available. I highly recommend getting the Spicy Garlic which is amazing! The fries were already tasty and crispy, but the spicy garlic will really do you in. We also ordered the Chipotle Jalapeno Mayo which did not seem to have a lot of heat or flavors. In no time, the spicy garlic was done and it seemed like no one was going for the Chipotle sauce. Service was very attentive. Our party of 6 were seated in the outdoor area for 3 and a half hours, and the waitress must have came by every 15 minutes to check up on us. Some may consider that a bit obtrusive, but I found it quite accommodating when one of us occassionally needed another beer. None of Press195's sandwiches seemed to disappoint, all fairly decent, but most short of amazing. They are fairly small, so don't expect to leave feeling super full. They have an amazing sandwich selection on the the menu, but you can really customize them to your liking so the world is your oyster. They were more than happy to accommodate us and give us more tables. They helped elimate any stress that could have occurred. And our waitress handed our large party with grace and patience. perhaps because our bill was $600+ there was some motivation to treat us nicely, but that is fine with me. Taking advantage of one of the first nice days in NYC, three of us decided to go to Press 195 (mostly because my SO woke up craving fries and literally "had to have it right at that moment") around 1PM. We found parking fairly easily and were seated without a wait. They had spacious outdoor seating with nicely planted flowers around the edges, which seemed to poison me and set my allergies on fire. But it was a nice atmosphere. The menu is extensive and will take some time to narrow down your choices. I had both their red and white sangria, but I prefer the white more. It's a little sweeter but, then again, wine is a preference. The waiter was very friendly and the service was nice without being overbearing. I ordered a steak hot press panini and it was alright. The steak was a little chewy, but my SO's chicken hot press was AWESOME. I was so full after the first half, I could barely finish the second so I opted to get it to go. The fries are bangin' though. They were crispy and crunch with a nice soft center...just the way I like it. And definitely get the trio of sauces ($2). My personal favorite was the pineapple Sriracha one. Tangy with a little kick to it! Go for big portions, delicious fries, and drinks with good company. I don't think I would go and hang out inside. They should try to get bigger tables (if they weren't constrained by limited space), as my friend and I could barely fit our two plates on the table. Would not recommend the jalapeno mustard, and would probably skip the fries as the paninis are really filling! I'm not sure if the paninis were plated this way on purpose, but it's placed in a heart shape (two halves of the panini), which I think is so cute and romantic! When you crave french fries, and you're near Bayside, this is the place to go. Having been to the RVC location, I knew this place would be a sure bet. We walked in on a weeknight and the place was moderately crowded. The hostess told us it would be a 10-15 minute wait, which seemed fine. We sat at the bar and ordered two beers to enjoy while waiting for our table. Other people started packing in, and many of them also flocked to the bar in order to kill time. There was a definite line forming in the doorway, so we really had gotten there just in time. The only thing that confused me was at least one group of two (possibly two groups) was seated before us. They had definitely walked in after us, and also sat at the bar for a drink. However, when one of the tables near the bar opened up, they got the table -- not us. Even more confusing, we had just been told (before those two people were seated) that our table was almost ready because the people were paying. Clearly, that table did not go to us. Came here a few times and this place has never failed. The restaurant seats about 40-50 ppl inside with a small bar area in the front and additional seating outside in the back. It's a nice place for a date night or just catching up with a few friends for lunch. The Belgian fries are awesome! They're deep fried twice to give it that extra crisp on the outside and still have that mushy texture on the inside. They offer homemade sauces at additional costs. I tried the honey jalapeño mustard which was bland. But the chipotle mayo was my absolute fav. For paninis, I usually get #42 which has grilled lemon chicken, fontina cheese, tomato olive bruschetta, baby spinach and their famous maple syrup basil pesto on a pressed ciabatta. I've been meaning to check out the RVC (Rockville Centre) location for some time now, however yesterday when getting my car fixed in Flushing and finding out it was going to be awhile, I texted my friend who lives locally and she suggested going to Press for lunch. The place was packed, but the hostess at the front moved people quickly and efficiently and we didn't wait terribly long. We each got a beer, I opted for the Angry Orchard Apple Ginger cider. They have a nice selection available as well as a variety of cocktails and specialty mixed drinks. Since I had never been here, my friend suggested we order the fries. Hey, why not - New Year's resolutions are still two days away. They are a bit expensive ($6.25) but a perfect portion for two. I don't think we finished all of them, either. We also got a dipping sauce on the side, the jalapēno mustard for .75. Mmmmmmmmm! I got the #25 veggie, the breaded eggplant with basil and pomodoro and cheese and all other things delicious. My friend also opted for one of the veggie sammies, though her staple is usually one of the BBQ chicken options. What makes these sandwiches so darn special? Who knows...maybe there is a bit of magic or fairy dust in the panini presses. This could easily be a 5-star, I will have to try a few more sandwiches when I am in the area or in RVC. This is my go to sandwich and fries places in queens. They have a great selection of beer and matching paninis. What you MUST get are the Belgium fries. This is not up for debate. You should and will get the fries. It comes in a basket that can easily be split between two people. You should also try their sauces. Whenever I go with another friend, we usually get two baskets and order almost all the sauces. The specialty sauces of note are the: chipotle mayo, roasted pepper, honey jalapeño mustard (My favorite), roasted garlic (Close Second), and pineapple sesame sriracha sauce. The ambiance of the restaurant is very laid back with a beautiful outdoor patio spot in the back. Their beer and sangria selection will never leave you thirsty for more. Perfect for summertime lunch spot. Off of the hot press the notable ones are: #19 Roast Beef: A simple but delicious sandwich. Classic and unbreakable. #37 Homemade Meatloaf: A perfect pick of you're looking for comfort food. #41 Homemade Slightly Spicy Meatballs: The panini version of a meatball sub, a must try for meatball lovers. The Basil in the sauce adds a nice refreshing flavor #46 Momma Karps: A great new addition to their menu. I've been here a few times over the years and always forget to leave a review. It's a solid 3 stars, not something I would come out of my way for but not something I'd avoid. The burgers are tender and cooked just right, but the flavor has never wowed me. I ordered the California burger but with smoked gouda instead of pepper jack, and it comes with guacamole, jalapenos, and salsa. I actually lifted up my bun to check for salsa and jalapenos, but all I saw was the guacamole and it wasn't very good either. It was alright, but not worth $13. The fries are good, The roasted garlic sauce and roasted red pepper sauces are alright, but if you ask me nothing beats ketchup- I guess I'm a purist. I tried a bite of my friends BBQ burger and it could definitely use more BBQ sauce. Things just seem real light on the flavor here. Even the sangria was really mellow. Service was great though, our waitress didn't write a single thing down and even with our special requests got everything right. There's a nice area in the back with outdoor seating that's great in the summer. Not thrilled about happy hour only being at the bar itself though- that bar is SMALL. read more

Press 195 is the best place for paninis in Bayside hands down! They have a vast selection of hot pressed paninis that will satisfy both meat lovers and vegetarians. Their paninis are crunchy on the outside but juicy in the middle and are bursting with flavors- there's no way one could ever say "their food is bland" (because that's just bs). Don't like paninis? That's fine- they have delicious burgers (not a whole lot to choose from but the ones they have are freaking good). Don't like burgers either? That's okay too- they have a handful of appetizers including a hummus plate. Craft beer fan? This is the place for you. They have Dogfish 120 here on rare occasions! Don't like beer at all? They have a variety of cocktails to choose from. Their sangria is pretty good (red or white?) Don't drink spirits? They have a lovely wine selection. They also have a delectable dessert menu. It was rather small. There's no place really to stand if you're waiting to be seated. You kind of just wait outside or else you'll be on top of each other. I hope they open up another location. They definitely deserve to have a 3rd location. I definitely recommend trying the Pink lady it's a sangria! My favorite thing on the menu are the burgers. The fries are so yummy. If you aren't a burger person, have the steak sandwich! You won't regret it. Press 195 is definitely my favorite spot after a long day at work. Happy hour is the best thing ever- awesome sangrias and beer on tap for like $3?? till 7?? YES please. They have a good selection of beer. Not your typical coors, more like magic hat and allagash. And how many places on beel blvd carry Duvel? With the right beer glass! Only downside is that they kind of skimp on the wine in the sangrias. (which isn't that big of a deal since we order pitchers at at time) The food is so so so delish. I have never been disappointed with a panini from their super long panini list. Appetizers are to dieee for. Their fries are cooked to a perfection and the sauces are so good, I order pints of it (: The service is definitely one of the best around. We got fried pickles to start. While they had tasty breading that was well crisped, the pickles were rather bland and not at all sour as described in the menu. Also included were fried tomatoes and pepperoncini that were nothing special except for their breading. They came with a dipping sauce, but there was nowhere near enough of it. The portion was generous, and we only finished half of the basket but went through all the sauce in no time. We ordered the California Burnin' bean burger with a salad and the Hawaiian beef burger with fries. The former was dry and didn't come with enough gauc and salsa so my friend had to request more condiments to put on top of it to make it palatable. The beef burger was OK, but again not very saucy. The fries were decent but nothing overly special, especially because they weren't crisp. I've had better food at diners for less money.
