Cool location has the roasting machine things in the back . Upstairs loft area and outside patio when it's not too hot !

Wow! Being new to Arizona I did not venture into Phoenix to find this Gem of a location in the six months I've been here and boy was I missing out! The service is outstanding and the location is mind blowing! Quite a number of people working, conversing, and just overall enjoying life over the best coffee in Arizona! This may be a flagship location withe the actual coffee roasters in the store reminiscent of a wonderful place I visited in Milan Italy, right here in the Phoenix Metro area! The outdoor patio seating has a fantastic ambience, and there's an upstairs area for larger groups of private events. Now to my 16 ounce hot oat milk, honey latte... True perfection, made with care and love and spot on. Happy to have moved to town, but even happier to have given up that other coffee chain for good!

This is a great spot to meet people at, just off Shea & the 51. Great ambience, lots of tables and great food and drinks. I don't drink coffee, but they have options beyond that. And, I tried their breakfast burrito today, which was tasty, hot and freshly made. The open air patio is a nice touch at the right time of the year.

Local coffee roastery in Phoenix. First time got there I saw a wall of different types of coffee bean that they roast in the store, you can smell the flavors and choose what you like. We talked to the barista and she introduced to us different type of coffee bean they use in different coffees. I liked the cold brew the most, it was very aromatic and light at the same time. The latte with almond milk was also great.

Press Coffee is the local coffee shop by my house & one of our favorite!! The service is always quick & professional & the ambiance is that of a Roastery! Open space to watch them roast coffee beans, and an upstairs sitting area! My favorite is their original burrito (with side of hit sauce) and one of their several SHAKEN ESPRESSO drinks! This is their Peanut Butter Shaken Espresso

Great coffee! It's a cool environment and it's interesting watching them make the coffee! Super kind employees and really knowledgeable about the company. Plenty of seating to eat and drink with friends! Also they do latte art which is awesome!

The espresso drinks are well balanced and the breakfast menu has a nice variety of egg based and vegan options. I had an iced latte with avocado toast and recommend both!

We love Press Coffee the most out of all the coffee spots, and this was our first time at this location. It's extremely spacious, with two levels and even a roasting area, which is cool! The staff was friendly too. We don't mind driving a bit for good coffee like this.

Pup cup for the baby. He loved it. Love a place that appreciates fur babies

Made a stop today to not our usual coffee place. Glad we did! This place is modern and gorgeous! Love the vibes of this place. I also liked that we are able to have pourovers and even from their reserve list. Their staff was very polite and gave great service. The person attending us was new but did wonderful. She was quick to let us know she was new and asked for help when needed. She offered us a pup cup, which of course melted my heart! Our baby had not had a pup cup in over a year. Any place who treats my fur baby good is top tier to me. Okay onto the coffee. I'm a pourover lover, so this is not a knock on the place, staff, or the company. I love it here. We tried the: 1. Press reserve from Volcan Valley, Panama (honey process-gesha) 2. Kenya Uteuzi Jimbo (washed process) . Okay the flavor profile of the reserve is: delicate, honeysuckle, lemon zest. I liked this one but not my fave of the two. I'm glad I tried it because it is only released 4 times out of the year, but it did fall flat for me. This is just my personal liking for coffee (so doesn't mean bad coffee and definitely tasty and wayyyyyyyy million times better than the big chain coffee places). However I do prefer my coffee to be more punch in the face flavor profile, with more acidity and more fruit forward and floral flavors. Definitely worth trying though. The Kenya pour over believe it or not was my favorite of the two. The flavor profile is: apricot, marzipan and black current. It's not quite a punch in the face but still has that acidity I'm looking for and that more fruit forward flavor. The finish is good too. Today this one is the winner. Overall enjoyed my experience here. If you are a coffee lover check out press. We've been going to press for over 9 years. I should have written a review sooner. We have never been to this location. It was our first visit and it's beautiful. Definitely recommend. Try a little of everything if you are new to coffee so you can get a feel of what you do or don't like. It also sounds like that have samples. We went home with their instant Ethiopian/costa Rican blend with flavor profile of: blueberry, strawberry, peach. I'm excited to try it at home! Come stop by! Definitely worth it.

I love the ambiance of this place. It's a very modern, peaceful coffee shop to work or meet others at. There's a large seating area with a bar and high top counter on the first floor but I absolutely love the second floor where there's some nice armchairs and more tables. They also have this board that changes quotes and sayings every once in a while downstairs which I thought was pretty cool. Food and coffee are good. They have some pastries, breakfast food and ready-made food available.

The BEST coffee shop in Scottsdale. I love the ambiance of The Roastery location, so cool to be able to watch them roast the beans onsite. I really enjoyed trying their shakers specifically the peanut butter one, it was delicious!

    Beth B.

Just what I needed! Stopped in suuuuuper early to grab some cold brew and a bag of beans. The team provided quick, friendly service to the few early birds who showed up as the doors opened. The bag of beans was reasonably priced and is good sipping!

Ask the Community - Press Coffee - the Roastery

Hey just wondering about the avocado toast, do you use fresh mozz or is it just brick mozz?

Hi, we only use Belgioioso fresh mozzarella. Thank you!

Do you guys have silverware or single use plastic ware?

Hi, all of our food items are designed to be eaten without cutlery (sandwiches, burritos, toasts). However, we do keep cutlery packets for those that request them. Thank you!

Can you bring your dogs? Is there a drive thru?

We do have a dog friendly patio at our Roastery location. We do not have a drive-through at any PRESS location.…

    Do they offer coconut milk?

We offer almond and oat milk for non dairy options.

    Why is so empty?

    Because this place is trash

The menu looked really good so my sis and I went to give it a shot since they also have baked goods. Walking in, the space was huge which makes sense as it's inside of chompies and I love that spot. We got some cookies from the bakery and it's weighed for pricing. The chocolate butter cookies were delicious but the other ones tasted a bit funny and not at all like butter cookies. We ordered an iced brown sugar oat milk shaken with cold foam and iced turtle with cold foam. The lady at the register was nice and asked if we really wanted cold foam, and we said yes twice. The coffee was taking a while so we walked around the area and looked at their merchandise but the coffees still wasn't done so we sat at the chairs and tables by the coffee place. The lady at the register stated that the cold foam wasn't working out and they are trying and asked if we still wanted to wait. Well of course we did cause we paid an extra dollar and some change for the cold foam. So it's odd that she was going to give us the coffee without it and not even ask if we wanted anything else in place of that. After what seemed like 15 minutes waiting for iced coffee we finally got it and as you can see from the picture, there was barely any cold foam. The lady was nice but the experience was lacking due to the order not being what we really wanted. Both coffees were sweet and it was not terrible. I'd go back for the baked goods only.

The toasty flavor of the brown butter paired well with the almond milk and it wasn't too sweet with the brown sugar. If you like it sweeter they do have a condiment bar. WeBe Coffee Roasters is one of those finds that makes you wish you had discovered it sooner. Even more so, I wish I lived closer. The space alone is worth the trip. The counter has a beautiful waved ribbed wood design, the colors are immersive without being overwhelming, and the whole interior has a visual balance that most designers would be proud of. There are flowers around the cafe that give it a gentle, unexpected touch. I genuinely regretted not bringing a better camera. But the coffee is the real story. They source specialty beans from different parts of the world and roast in-house on a Primo roaster, which is a hand-built machine that serious roasters invest in. They also have a merch area with coffee gear worth browsing, and bags of their roasted coffee available to take home. On the back wall there is a mural that reads, "Making good coffee, good fun." Whoever built this sandwich decided fat was a liability, trimmed the brisket down to something you'd find in a hospital cafeteria, and then served it anyway. What arrived was a stack of lean, gray-edged slices with no give and no moisture whatsoever. You could hear it more than taste it. Chewing produced no juice, no render, nothing. It just sat there getting smaller. I am not exaggerating when I say you would need a glass of water on the table to dunk it in, and even then I'm not confident it would go down. Then the rye. Somebody griddled it in butter, which coats the crumb in dairy and flattens the caraway into nothing. Rye for pastrami gets a light toast at most, and that's if it needs anything at all. Butter turns it into a grilled cheese chassis with the cheese removed. On a pastrami sandwich it's a category error. My people spent two thousand years perfecting this sandwich. Somebody in that kitchen reverse-engineered it back into jerky on a sponge. There are delis in New York that would treat this as a personal provocation. I've eaten the correct version of this sandwich. It comes carved by hand, on untoasted rye, with enough fat to shorten a life. That's the deal. You give up a few years and you get something worth eating. What this place serves takes the years and gives nothing back. Two dollars less and it's a bad lunch. At this price it's contempt. The coleslaw does not save it. One star, and that's for the plate.
