This is the worst Press location. We consistently face issues and I've finally hit my limit. At 7 in the morning we order drinks, a pastry and a bagel via the app. The bagel still doesn't exist 20 mins after ordering despite the place not being busy. I drive by this location constantly and finally stopped in. It was nice. I enjoyed my basic chai and environment. Service was quick and nice. Everything smelled and looked good that I saw everyone else have. I don't recommend if you have kids with diapers, as neither of their restrooms have a changing table (and I asked the staff to be certain, they confirmed there's no changing table). It's pretty disappointing, especially to come to Yelp and see they describe themselves as "good for kids." I will be back in a few years I guess, when my baby is potty trained. Cool. Giving this place a 1 Star because I cannot give it anything less. Just had the worse interaction with this mornings shift lead. I wish I could remember her name. Female, curly hair and claimed to be the shift lead. My husband asked for water, which this shift lead told him he would have to pay $0.25 for. My husband walked back upstairs to pull cash from his wallet. Stood back in line to be told by the same shift lead that she had no change. My husband then comes back upstairs to grab his wallet to pay for the $0.25 water. At this point we are annoyed because she simply could have comped the water (the line was long). I then proceed to stand on line again to pay for water with my debit card. Shift lead then tells me I need a minimum purchase of $1.00 to pay with my debit card!!! How flipping annoying. Horrible customer service, horrible attitude! I ended up buying a bottle water because seriously I was so annoyed. This type of customer service is what drives people away. Honestly, great coffee! But her rude attitude will make me consider coming back again. Someone needs to teach her basic customer service skills and some simple empathy! Love our neighborhood and this is a stellar addition. I've been about six times and the coffees that they offer have nuances that are similar to the differences in wine. Blueberry notes? Strawberry ice cream? Sounds crazy but true! I will learn to take my time and enjoy the coffee! Friend's chai tea was the best she said she's had. A small order of avocado toast with eggs, bacon and microgreens was enough to share and I noticed there's a breakfast special as well. This morning I went to this place for the first time. I ordered a mocha; I took a sip, then a second one, and I was upset at myself for not coming to Press Coffee earlier! Folks, I love espresso. And there is nothing better than fresh roasted beans. I was so happy to find this place and with all the crappy cafes around that serve poorly made drinks (ingredients and the people making them), I'm happy I found this neighborhood joint. Coffee was good staff was nice and friendly great costumer service. I'm not a fancy coffee kinda guy just usually do my coffee black or with a little heavy cream so expect a good flavor from coffee and this was a good cold brew really enjoyed it. And it did the job to give me a boost to get through the morning. The shop was clean as was the restrooms. Hands down one of the best coffee shops in town. Great vibe, great locations, especially 32nd & Shea. Flavor is always strong for the coffee snob in me. Had a cortado and coffee meeting on Monday. All the Press locations are popular. So if you go at peak times you can expect a wait and seating could be sparse. However, it's definitely worth going no matter what. My favorite cold coffee is the Nitro. First ever nitro I had was at Press years ago and was hooked. Very rich and velvety. read more

Today was my first time going to study at Press Coffee. I ordered the turkey pesto, and when I received my order I noticed it was just the sandwich so I asked the lady if it was supposed to come with a side. She said "yes it is but we're out of chips so there are no sides right now" I just said oh ok and went about. It was not a big deal but this was not mentioned by the cashier when I ordered and when I checked my receipt it showed I payed full menu price. This was just very odd to me and wasn't quite sure if that was a normal situation there since it was my first time ordering. read more

When I went to order I was rushed and the cashier was like a robot. Though a busy place in the morning and long line, it moved quickly and wait was not unreasonable. Parking is limited but there's a lot behind Press that I think you can park in. Cool building and architecture. Likely a great place for study since it's quiet. The roasting is good and the beans are great for take home brew but you're better off taking them home and doing it yourself. I've never been impressed with the in house coffee here...I'm unsure if the it's inexperience or just a lack of knowledge of coffee. Not too much creativity, everything is fairly cookie cutter. If you're a true coffee connoisseur and you are looking to sit down for a high quality cup of joe, I would look elsewhere. read more

Great Lattes in Scottsdale I've found another barista capable of making one of the best lattes I've ever had. I am so glad I found Press Coffee . This was my first visit but it won't be my last. I'm a big fan of Press! With their mobile ordering, it makes it easy to grab a coffee on the way to work. My order is ready at the bar as soon as I arrive! My usual go-to is a cold brew coffee and a vegan banana bread. They have the best banana bread! They have plenty of parking. They have their own parking lot and a lot that customers can use behind their property that offers shaded parking. This is a great place to hang out with a friend or catch up on some work. However, if you're planning use your computer, I would recommend coming fully charged since they do not have outlets at majority of their tables. Also, maybe bring headphones since it gets pretty loud in there. When the weather is cool, there is a great outdoor patio! Their coffees are great. Their cold brew is one of the best in town. They offer both almond milk and oat milk as alternatives! When ordering a latte, often times the baristas do not mix the espresso with the milk, which is annoying. read more

This is our weekend spot! I look forward to coffee only on the weekends and this is one of our go to places. Sometimes we ride our bikes there and sit on the patio, the bike rack is easy and quick with lots of space. We are not in the sun in the morning due to the patio being on the west side of the building, very nice. They also have online ordering, I like ordering in the car on the way there and just walking in and grabbing my coffee and I'm on my way. The coffee is good too! We were thrilled when this local spot was just starting to build in a location near our neighborhood. I'm not a coffee drinker but I love that the area has slowly turned from corporate to smaller, family owned spots. We try to support these places as much as possible. That being said, I was appalled by the service we received today. I met my Husband there this afternoon and he ordered a beer- it was late in the afternoon on a Friday. He had a sip of his beer and felt a sharpness on the glass. He then noticed that there was a chip on his glass that had given him a very small cut on his lip. We are both in our 40's now, but we also both worked in bars/restaurants while we were in college. We are extremely patient and gracious with service people. My Husband went up to let them know his glass was chipped- no big deal, just needed a new glass. After 10 minutes I couldn't believe he wasn't back. I went to check on him and he was still waiting for an employee at the service counter to acknowledge him. I was shocked. He finally flagged someone down a few minutes later while I was there with him. He was very polite and explained the situation. The employee was dismissive, but also busy. We understood. She returned a few minutes later with a new pint glass. She then took my Husband's beer and poured it into the new glass. We both looked at each other, again having spent many years working in this industry and understanding that glasses break. My Husband, very respectfully asked her if she was certain that the glass chip wasn't in the beer. She didn't respond but gave a lot of attitude and left. Eventually she came back and poured another beer in a new glass. She seemed very bothered by this and it made us feel as though we were being difficult customers. It was over 20 minutes from when we discovered that my Husband was drinking from a broken glass, to finally (huffily) being provided with a new drink in a new glass. We want to support local businesses and service providers- especially wait staff!! We are also uniquely patient when it comes to a business being busy. However, we can't overlook employees being disrespectful and making us feel bad about returning an item that had caused very minor injury and could have been far worse. We will not be back. Very sad, because we would love to replace all the Starbucks with locally owned coffee bars and likewise for everything. Press Coffee has been making moves! This is one of their latest locations and I believe also the main roastery for the company. I think they are eventually moving all their roasting to this location. I have been a fan of Press Coffee for a couple years now and enjoy that each store location has a unique vibe and the staff is always welcoming. Update: For myself I'm allergic to almonds and I choose to be both dairy free and gluten free for health. The options are limited with half and half, milk, almond milk and oat milk options only. The cold brew was so light both my 2 friends and I couldn't really taste much coffee flavor. My 1 friend has been here before and said this must be a one off. When I asked about this, the staff member was very cold and didn't help at all. For a hip Cool looking inside and open environment,I would think they'd want greater variety of creamer options and friendlier staff. Sadly my womens group will not be meeting here again. read more

The green tea was basic. Nothing particularly special about it. I was super stoked about the oat milk though! That's totally my jam, however I'm curious why I can't have the lavender syrup in my hot latte. I have been to PLENTY of other small, boutique coffee spots and big chain coffee spots as well that also use the Monin brand syrup and I've never been told "no, you can't have lavender as it's only for our cold drinks". I'm disappointed in the non-reason when I asked again about the lavender, because I was honestly surprised when she said no the first time..... bc it's only for cold drinks doesn't really justify why you can't do it for me. The syrup is sitting right there in plain sight, hence why I asked. I too work in a customer service industry, and it's always about the guests experience and continuing to do anything and everything possible to make that guests experience worth returning for time and time again. I will most likely not return, even though the coffee itself was better than most. I've been searching the valley for local coffee joints with oat milk and lavender. They're constantly running out of matcha. Is it that hard to recognize demand and order accordingly? It's annoying to make the drive just be told they don't have it. Love this new Press!! I've been to the one in Kierland a couple times and much prefer this one. First of all, the architecture & design is top-notch and there's plenty of seating and room! The staff is super friendly too. And the coffee is fantastic - strong and full of flavor. I get a plain small iced latte in the summer months while my husband gets a lightly sweet iced vanilla latte. If you don't like the coffee for whatever reason, they're really good about making a new one for you (sometimes the vanilla is too sweet for my husband). This place looks very cool and seems to have such potential but everything is lacking imo. The coffee is subpar for all the equipment and people working here you'd think it would be amazing but the flavor and love just isn't there. Don't get me started about the food, it's so underwhelming it's insane, they must not have any kind of a real kitchen just a fridge and a microwave and lot of weak ingredients. My avocado toast had cubed mozzarella cheese from a cheap brick. You're better off literally going anywhere else. Just read the comments the issues go back years and don't seem to change a bit.
