I drove from Mansfield to Newton store to eat with friends for their Sababa Salmon Salad and loved it sooo much I ordered a second one to go. Came home went to bed and when I woke up I was craving that salad I ordered so when to open the top I looked like a kid that lost their best friend! I was so disappointed. It ended up being a tomato cucumber salad with some apples garbanzo beans and salmon. No beets at all!!!! Not driving 45 minutes to return a salad missing key ingredients! Wish they had a restaurant like this in the Mansfield/Easton area so I don't have to drive that far and be disappointed when I buy a second one to go since I love it so much! read more

This is that super solid, go-to spot in this pandemic. I haven't been dining out (sit-in) and I'm neither a nurse nor a physician, so I've decided to be a local hero in other ways: support small business-type restaurants with take out! Anything you get here will impress you: any drink, any bowl, any panini. After going here multiple times, my personal favorites have become the California BLT panini and the brewed iced tea with one serving of raspberry syrup, lemon, and mint! Nice place to have a breakfast or brunch. They have tables available inside and outside. We were there on Sunday and it was super hot to sit outside, we decided to sit inside. It is a nice atmosphere inside, everything nicely decorated. The food was great! Their New England Clam Chowder has an interesting taste, I would say it is a little bit sour but it is still good. I usually go to the Pressed in Burlington but was excited to stop and check the Newton location out when I was driving past on a cold and rainy day. This location seems to offer a lot more than the one in Burlington. More spacious and with a full bar. The set up was really nice. No line so my order was taken right away. Same menu as far as I could tell with the Burlington location. I went with a creme brulee iced latte. It was so good. Really hit the spot. I've never had a coffee that wasn't good from Pressed. Feeling a bit hungry, the chicken brown rice orzo soup looked enticing. It came out fast and I was on my way. I absolutely loved the huge piece of what seemed to be home made sour dough bread included to dunk in the soup - perfection. The soup was fantastic. I loved the lemon taste that wasn't overwhelming but seasoned it perfectly and the chicken and rice were both delicious. Really great soup on a rainy (or any!) day. I'm not in the area that often but I will definitely return! read more

My ahi tuna and kale bowl was fine. But it came out suspiciously fast and way too hot (oven and spice hot). There are too many items on the menu! It's kind of like a cattle factory for smoothies, bowls, and ginger shots. It also seems like the Chipotle next door grew a phantom arm and this was the "vegan place" next door that grew out of it. Can't quite put my finger on the geographic / demographic they are going for. Is it Turkish? Is it Greek? Is it a bar? Is it a Monday night SweetGreens alternative? My wife's poor bowl had smashed veggie patties that looked like frozen Jimmy Dean breakfast sausage. And some weird gravy on it. read more

I loved the ambiance, the service, the variety of the menu... but I'm here to talk about the food: - Greek Chicken Farro Bowl: there is so much going on in this bowl! Roasted vegetables were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The chicken was juicy and super flavorful. The pineapple gave it a touch of freshness and sweetness. The farro, feta and avocado put it all together - every bite is a surprise and you don't want the bowl to end. If you are into spacy, try the hot sauce! I can't think of something I would change. I also tried the Mediterranean Salmon Bowl and the Atlantic Salmond Salad and they were both really great! There was a fishbone in the salmon bowl so I have to dock points for that, but overall very creative, well-thought-out dishes with amazing flavors. Portions are generous but prices are expensive. Nonetheless, I want to come back and try so many other things. The sandwiches, paninis and bowls looked amazing (both on the menu and people around me eating them) so will be coming back for those. Non-Food Stuff: Coffee is great! The service is amazing, food comes out really fast and people are very friendly. They brought water for the dog without even asking. I've ordered breakfast, lunch and dinner and experimented with numerous dishes on the menu - the food is consistently fresh and delish. Despite how busy they are, they run a very tight ship - everything runs very smoothly, which is quite impressive! The customer service is fantastic and people are always friendly. Once, someone forgot to add cookies to my order and when I returned, they gave me an extra one, which was sweet. If you are in the area, I highly recommend them! read more

On paper, Pressed looks great. But when it comes to the actual food, I am less imPRESSED. Nothing I've tried tastes remotely as good as it sounds (and often looks). The customer service at this location is truly exceptional! Ja'Quis took my order tonight and was extremely professional and pleasant. He was engaging and customer focused. There was also a gentleman who kindly directed me to a larger menu with more ingredient details. I wish I got his name. I also came by yesterday and had the pleasure of interacting with Uma, who was very knowledgeable about the menu and steering me in the right direction. Went to the Newton, MA location for lunch. Got the vegan Jaffa salad. This place has a specific "vegan" menu, which is very convenient. I got three "impossible meat" patties on top of a mass of almost exclusively romaine lettuce. There were a few boiled chickpeas here and there, there were some cherry tomatoes, a tiny amount of pickles, and the matbucha (cooked tomatoes and red peppers). Where are the kale, carrots, sunflower seeds? All of these ingredients were advertised in the salad on the menu. The salad was under-dressed. Please either increase the amount of dressing, or decrease the amount of romaine lettuce. It had virtually no seasoning of any kind. "Jaffa" is in Israel. They know spices, and great vegan food over there, but apparently the salad only takes its name from the Middle East. I was sold a mess of a salad that shouldn't cost $14, especially if most of the ingredients are served in homeopathic amounts. read more

A cafe with style, fresh food, and health priorities. This cafe opened relatively recently, and immediately gained popularity. I soon realized why - when the food was quickly prepared, delicious, and healthy! It is right next to Chipotle (check out my review of Chipotle) on Needham street, and I can never choose where to go, but if you are looking for a wide variety of choices, and a place that is vegetarian friendly, I strongly recommend Pressed Cafe. One downside is that the place 1) has a bar, and 2) fills up quickly, so keep in mind that is gets loud fast. read more

The food is delicious - fresh - high quality and there are decent portions. Pressed not only covers soup, salad and sandwiches but has some very reasonable alternatives in their power bowls and entrees. The restaurant is very clean, and service is typically friendly but quick. That said - Pressed is a HUGE hit here in Newton so be wary if you're headed there for lunch during the work week that parking will be an absolute nightmare and that getting table is a bit like the Hunger Games. Then I thought to myself that chipotle industry has been slacking a lot so I saw a bunch of people talking, working, eating through the window and thought to myself I would go here again. I love Pressed Cafe. I've been to the one in Nashua and Burlington. This one is just as good! There's a good amount of seating with plenty of high chairs for kids. Their menu is extensive, and literally everything I've eaten is delicious. Today, I ordered the Tel Aviv Tuna with a side of potato salad. Amazing. I love their potato salad. It's mustardy, and it has pickles in it. Everything came out super quickly, even though all the tables were filled while we were present. This place gets super packed easily. The parking lot can be filled up pretty quick with other businesses around. It's pretty loud if you want to focus and do work here but there is free WiFi and plugs along the walls if needed. I do think that this place is overly priced and overly hyped. There's nothing that's ground breaking here but can we talk about how it's kind of shady that there's no pricing at all for the drinks? I had gotten a latte it's okay not something I would come back for. If you want some detox juice/ water it's over $8 plus tax. They use coffee from George Howell, there's literally a George Howell cafe that's less than 10 mins away. I think you're better off going there! read more
