Three whole stars for the *product only*. Strolled in after hot yoga - my favorite post workout treat is a pressed juice freeze. Only reason to visit this location today was to try out their seasonal Ube flavor. After my un-greeted entry, I was told "we don't have it" by quite possibly the saddest human who walked the earth today. Not sure if the two gals working hate people entirely, each other, or just the customers at this location. I single-handedly answered the next customer's question about the Ube flavor with my knowledge of the ice cream product from Trader Joe's alone because I've worked in hospitality for 20 years and could be more polite in my sleep compared to these yahoos. 50% of my visits to this Pressed location at the Carlsbad forum result in disappointment due to service standard, broken machines, or both. I HIGHLY recommend the Fashion Valley location. Superb service and consistent product there. Idk if Carlsbad needs to treat their employees better or if the kids working are just depressed. Employers, I think it's worth some consideration. read more

This place is simple and a fabulous alternative to ice cream or frozen yogurt. The freezes are very good along with the toppings. The ingredients are quality. I have not tried the juices. Staff is friendly. I do think it is absolutely ridiculous that they close at 6pm on Sunday, especially in the summertime. They also need to tint the windows or put in shades because in the afternoon the sun is so bright and hot it makes it uncomfortable to be inside the store- not sure how the employees can handle it! read more

UNPASTEURIZED JUICE IS NOT GOOD. I loved this place until getting beyond sick from a toxic reaction to their unpasteurized juice. I began violently vomiting, fainting multiple times, my heart almost had a heart attack. I ended up being HOSPITALIZED. AND YES THIS WAS PROVED THAT IT WAS THE JUICE AND FREEZE FROM THIS LOCATION. Place is awesome. Glad we found it & decided to check it out. Basing my review on their all natural soft serve, haven't tried any juices yet. My sister is a vegetarian with a strict diet do to health issues, this is now her & our moms go to spot for a healthy treat. Portion was satisfying with the added toppings. This store used to be 100% plant-based and if i'm not mistaken, gluten-free. They now have added dairy and honey items to their menu. Things here have unfortunately changed for the worse. They no longer stand by their moto of "made for everyone". They lost their plant-based & GF message they used to always promote, as well as two loyal customers of 4 years. Today I came into this store with my boyfriend, as we do often. We have been told previously that all ingredients are stated on the board. My boyfriend and I loved this place mostly because we feel comfortable knowing we go to a allergy-friendly, non contaminated environment to grab our favorite freeze's & juice. Today we tried their newest edition to their freeze's, dragonfruit and acai. We got samples and noticed from the taste that there were more ingredients in those flavors than the three ingredients listed on the board. My boyfriend started getting itchy on his hands/arms so we asked to see if there were any other ingredients added and they mentioned agave & pea protein. My boyfriend is allergic to pea protein and I was so surprised and worried to know that the employees do not mention the pea ingredients to their customers, since peas are a common allergy. We had let the employees know about this and their reaction was quiet. Like silent. Nobody said anything. This place makes me feel uncomfortable coming in again because my trust is gone. This company has clearly changed, maybe a new manager? I don't know, but I do know we will not be back. read more

The freeze machines never work. I came in last week and both the acai and passion fruit machines didn't work. I wanted an acai freeze. Since none of them worked I left without getting anything. I come in one week later and it's the same problem! You think they would fix the issue but they haven't. So I get a chocolate freeze because that's the only one that works (even though I wanted acai) and the girl charges me a dollar extra for 3 toppings that I thought come with the freeze. First of all I didn't even want chocolate I wanted acai. And the menu sign says the price includes three toppings and she charged me extra! And meanwhile it took them forever when I was the only customer in the store because they couldn't figure out the machines. They should've figured it out before I came in. And meanwhile this happens to me twice within a week and no discount or free thing or whatever. Not great customer service. I'm a big fan of pressed and have been a customer for a while but very disappointed lately with the machines not working and their lack of effort to fix them. read more

This was the absolute worst service I have ever received at a Pressed Juicery. MEGHAN was our server and she was extremely rude. She made several snappy comments and I honestly cannot believe how my friends and I were treated. She over charged us and hardly filled up the cups. I will never come back to this location. So happy this Juicery planted itself in the forum, my go-to shopping center. The sales associate was quick to greet me and offer me any sample I desired. She was very knowledgeable about the ingredients and purposes of each blend. I decided on the 3 day cleanse with waters and since completion, I haven't craved my usual, unhealthy food choices. Which is big for me. My kids loved the freezes so there was something for all of us. Thanks for the guidance Natalie! And kudos to you for dealing with the awful and picky mom-daughter duo in front of me, that kept arguing for freebies and behaved so rudely to you. THIS REVIEW IS NOT FOR THE JUICE or FREEZES. It's for the customer service.. I'm really disappointed. I live in Escondido/San Marcos area. I drive here about once a week because I crave their freezes and golden milk along with some of the juices. They are great. However, My past few visits have been 20-30min before closing time. They have already put away all the fruits & drizzles. So no almond butter or chocolate drizzle.. which if you've had them you know it's one of the best parts! Along with some fresh fruit in the side. The same two girls who have closed the past few Friday nights clean up 30+ minutes before closing. So that means they don't have any drizzles (besides honey, I'm vegan) and no fruit. I asked her if it's because they are closing and she replied "yes". Which I mean it's obvious by looking that everything besides the M&Ms, granola, coconut, almonds & chocolate chips were left out on the counter. I pay full price (NOT CHEAP) & drive a long way to get there. I expect to get what I want and what I pay for, no matter what time I come. They are open until 9pm, that means people even coming at 8:50 should be able to get what they came for. Obviously it'd be one thing if they really just ran out. But when it becomes a pattern and it's because they want to clean up early for their convenience. That's NOT good customer service & it's not okay. Very disappointed. I hope this improves. read more

I like that there is a close healthy snack choice for my children and I, Sherrie was super attentive and honest about what kind of juice would best suit my needs. The cayenne lemon juice is perfect for a wellness kick, especially if you're sick. Not to mention, the customer service is great. While the soft serve freeze is really good, the portions are awful. I've never been to a place so stingy with their portions! The girl who served us was nice but the second she filled a small cup half way and then weighed it in front of me, all my hope for this place disappeared. Absolutely loved the flavor profile here! I went in with one of my friends to try out the frozen yogurt since I was intrigued by the greens flavor. Most of the staff working here are teenagers and some of them were friendlier than others. I would recommend ensuring that all of them are treating their customers well :). I tried all of the flavors of the frozen yogurt to figure out which one I would want. Even though I liked the green one, I decided to go with chocolate which has date, cacao, Himalayan pink salt and almonds as the base for the yogurt. I then added dark chocolate chips on top with coconut strings and Himalayan pink salt. I should not have gotten the Himalayan pink salt on top since it was already in the base but otherwise the flavor was great. It's not super sweet which is perfect :) one thing I also noticed like another reviewer is that there is an illusion of you getting a full cup of frozen yogurt but the middle component is hollow and so it seems you've gotten more than you actually do. I completely agree with previous comments about the stinginess of the freeze. Considering I drive about 25 minutes to get some, it bothers me that they claim to "measure" it and never add any more whenever it is under. I love the freeze itself a ton but I definitely feel like this location barely gives my money's worth. I always feel guilty if I even want to ask to add more since the girls aren't the friendliest.. but at least fill the cup! read more

I got a tiny mango turmeric sorbet soft serve for $5. Interesting flavor with icy, cheap texture. I wish the grains were finer and smoother. I don't think it was worth $5. I didn't get toppings because they seemed ordinary. Received icy customer service as well. She was practically mute. read more
