Pressed Juicery, located in the Forum Carlsbad. It's a very small store, but they have lots to offer. Juices and Ice Cream (Freeze)! I've always been a fan of Pressed Juicery whenever one of my friends would buy me one of the Greens juice. The value in the quality is there, but because I live far from this location, it's a treat I cherish once in a while. I actually went to this location on National Ice Cream day when they were having their 50% off ice cream deal. According to Pressed Juicery, their soft-serve ice cream is vegan, gluten free and dairy free, made of only fruits, vegetables, almonds and coconuts. Now a treat like this sounds unbelievable. Choose between two sizes then you're given an option of three toppings with the charge for an additional topping. Because it was the national day, there was a line in the store, which made the place feel even smaller. Maybe it was the customers not really knowing what they wanted but the average wait for ice cream was a bit long. As someone who works in the food service industry and understands the frustrations of dealing with customers that don't listen to you, I noticed that one of the two staff members working there was looked kind of annoyed at all of us being in there in this line that blocked the doorway. I mean she gave this one girl this unimpressed look and snapped at her, which to me felt somewhat unwelcoming. At least the other employee helped me and pulled the weight of the other and was reassuring to each customer that they would get to us soon. The size 1 ice cream is $4, but that day it was $2. People are going to think "oh the original price is too expensive for an ice cream and there are only five flavors", but the ingredients are the selling point that differentiates the treat from others so it's justifiable. I recommend this place for the affordable cold-pressed juice and plant-based soft served treats. It's not a place where you can sit inside so you have to sit outside at one of the tables the mall provides. Maybe it was an off day in terms of customer service for a "national day" so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say it service was a 4/5 overall. Their products pushed this review ranking to 5 stars only because I really enjoy what they have to offer for my nutritional needs; however, I'll check back again to see if the service is exceptional. read more

I had to wait a bit to get served here, but once the girls in front of me had tried everything on the menu and had begun checking out, I was helped at last. I asked for double almond butter, and was SORELY disappointed. This helping was HARDLY an excuse for a normal serving of almond butter! I honestly should have said something, lesson learned. It's damn good, that's what you need to know. I get the citrus #2, the vanilla almond, and the strawberry almond ones. That citrus 2 is amazing though, could drink that every day. Vanilla almond is top notch too when you want something a little thicker but still goes down smooth if you know what I mean, wink wink nudge nudge. Last night my daughter and I wanted a late night treat and hustled to get to Pressed. My daughter walked in the door at 8:45pm, I waited in the car. They close at 9:00pm. But apparently the staff had already turned off the machine necessary to make my daughter's order, so she left with nothing. Very disappointing making a 30 minute drive round trip, being there on time, just to be turned away. My guess is the manager left early and the staff was by themselves and wanted to be ready to leave right at 9:00pm. I get that but that it is not very considerate of the customers. read more

Love this newly discovered gem! I was searching for a place to start doing bi-weekly juice detoxing and a friend in Texas mentioned they had a Pressed Juicery there. I was so pleased to find one close to me here in California. I started with their half-day detox and I loved it. The juices are great and I wasn't really hungry throughout the day. Showed up at 8:29pm on a Friday night. Drove 30 minutes to experience Pressed. Employee was counting the cash register and said they were closing because machines went down an hour earlier at 7:30pm. This would be a five star review if it wasn't for the abysmal customer service I received at this location. The juice and freezes are amazing and I've been a loyal follower for years. I came in 3/3 and asked if I was still eligible for my birthday juice. I've since relocated to Texas and to much dismay, Pressed Juicery isn't in Austin yet! She took my phone number (also a rewards number) and said that since my birthday was in February I could only redeem the juice in February. Bummer, but I get it. I proceeded to ask her which juice I usually get because I can never remember. She literally scoffed at me and with a very long eye roll responded "I don't know." Pause: For all those who haven't been here, Pressed Juicery has a record of your orders when you give them your number. I know this because I ALWAYS forget and they always tell me which juices I usually get. Resume: "Doesn't it show you my last few orders and what I usually get?" "Your last three orders are freezes so I don't know." Okay then.. there was no reason to make me feel stupid or an imposition - it's a service offered. Regardless of how stupid you think your customer's question is, there is no situation where you should roll your eyes, snort or scoff at a customer. I love the frozen yogurt here. It definitely satisfies my sweets cravings but also doesn't make me feel guilty since its "healthy"! A cleaner, healthier alternative to Yogurtland or ice cream. I truly want to leave 3 stars but this is the first cleanse I ever did. I still remember, it was back in 2010 or maybe early 2011 and I was working in DTLA and walked over to this little hole in the wall place. As I moved throughout my life, I kept going to their various locations like in Santa Monica (Main Street) or Manhattan Beach on Manhattan Ave. Now that I'm in Carlsbad, I was so excited to know there was a location relatively close to me, but it's been twice already and something is not available. Whether it be immunity shots, soft serve machine not working so no smoothies, no soft serve. Today I walked in there and they were literally out of 75% of all juices/flavors. I didn't get the smoothie I drove all the way there for and was forced (I forced myself) to get some juices I don't like much because I had already made the drive (gas these days is precious). They really need to up their game and plan ahead. Don't know who's supplying this store or who's making the orders, but they are not even close to accurate. When I asked when they will get a restock or fix their machines, the employee had no clue. Anyway, this location needs improvement. Quick stop here for the activated charcoal, my fav and a few of the citrus juices for my husband. Service is nice, they really know their products and can help if you have questions or offer samples. I've had juice cleanses shipped to me and was stoked to finally have the chance to visit the actually store while in Cali- I would have to say my expectations were definitely met from the quality of the juices to the kind & knowledgeable staff that helped me while there (you can taste test any of the juices for free!!) I will admit I wasn't obsessed with the frozen nut-milk yogurt as I thought I would be but the green juice gummy bears and juices / wellness shots made up for it! OMG. I love the new frozen treats. I didn't like the Matcha but that is just me. I don't like that flavor anyways. The chocolate was so good. It wasn't like a traditional frozen yogurt dessert so don't think that's what you are going for, It is healthy, no added sugars, made with dates and fruit and nuts. Yum. Worst customer service. Waited for 15 minutes just to get a pre made juice with absolutely no line. One of the workers has a terrible attitude and acts like doing their job is a bother. 3.5 stars First time trying a pressed juice place and I'm on the fence about it. I'm mostly a water drinker... at least when it comes to cold non alcoholic beverages. Juices and sodas are a little much for me. Not that comparing the products here to sodas is fair exactly, I'm just saying that from my point of view the flavor is strong. There is evidently a lot of stuff compressed to make each 16 oz bottle of juice here. I don't doubt it. After the first few sips I couldn't drink it straight anymore. It's not that it was too sugary per se, but just strong. Tangy, tart, and intense...your mileage may vary. I had to dilute it to 40oz, and then it was acceptable. I think that would be way to dilute for most people, but its just my experience. Hey, if you see it as a concentrate, it justifies the price for the bottle better though. The storefront itself is small, a table or two outside, with a very small staging area for them to let you order. They'll give you samples, try em out before you buy the bottle, otherwise get stuck with a flavor you will have a lot of. read more

My daughter is a frequent customer at this location. We went in this evening at approx 645pm and there was one worker at the cash register and another worker who was frantically emptying the trash containers and then sweeping the floors. The red headed gal at the register had a customer at the counter / register and just kept talking....on and on and on about the benefits of this juice vs. another...this one is for bloating, yada yada...it was never ending. The customer was just standing there and kept asking her questions, all the while the customer was eating her fro yo and judging by the looks of things this could go on for a while (and it did). Quite annoying because it appeared as if the register gal was just totally loving the chit chat, and NEVER acknowledged my daughter and I who were in front of the fro yo counter. I finally asked the gal who was doing all the chores if she could help us. She said that she couldn't because she was "on her lunch break." I looked at her strangely, like you should be resting or eating or away from the work area and she said "no, I can't help you. I'm sorry, we've got too much to do" (i.e chores before they closed). The register gal then acknowledged us and said "oh, we all do that often on our breaks...we sweep etc. when we get bored". (Ya right!!!) . I said well "that's not right....people deserve to have their breaks". (Also note, the cute blonde gal who was sweeping and removing the trash did NOT look bored...she looked frantic, overwhelmed, rushing around etc.) . All the while the other gal just kept shooting the shit while her customer ate her fro yo. Finally my daughter, whose this was her last night in town before going away to college, who loves this fro yo, suggested that we leave. To have her suggest that we leave because it was taking SO long due to the poor customer service, and the sweet gal working her butt off while the other gal shot the bull, was enough to annoy us both that we decided to leave. Suggestion: Hire more help. Your staff deserve their breaks. As a matter of fact, it's required by law. If you want to go into extreme detail about every juice that you make, ingredients, pros, cons, uses etc and ignore the rest of your customers, then hire more help. OR have the common sense to tell the other customer to think about what she's told her so that she can move on with other customers AND help your co worker out. It's closing time and someone shouldn't have to work on her lunch break while you cruise along and up sell other products. .....ridiculous and really a bummer for my daughter who was really looking forward to her fro yo. read more

This juice is cheap quality and they HPP. (High Pressure Process) The HPP destroys the nutritional qualities of the juice. The recipes are often either too sweet or almost sour tasting. It's a shame that this is what people are duped into buying as "cold-pressed juice". read more
