Came here with my husband and son. Restaurant isn't super big with a handful of tables and booths. Came here because we heard how affordable their smash burgers are. Hard to find a good burger joint that has fries included in the price. And if you don't want fries you can have fries, tater tots, sweet potato fries, or onion rings. Usually if you wanna swap out your fries it's an extra fee. My double smash burger with tots was 9 dollars. My husband got the pastrami burger and my son got the chicken tenders and fries. My husband enjoyed his burger and it was a good size. And the chicken tenders had to be the biggest ones I've seen! Halfway through our meal, I was craving something sweet so I got a Oreo milkshake. Milkshake was great nice and creamy with good pieces of Oreo chunks. Service was great and waitress check in on us a few times. Let me set the scene: Pressed is tucked into a strip mall near Rancho Cotati High School, which means if you go at lunch, you'll be sharing the vibe with teenagers who have approximately 37 minutes to eat and a lot of feelings about it. Plan accordingly. Once inside, the place cleans up nicely -- a monochromatic palette with an almost-retro diner feel, black pendant lights, ceiling fans, the works. It's not trying too hard, which I respect. The one aesthetic hiccup: the ceiling and its fluorescent lighting read a little Department of Motor Vehicles, which is a shame given the effort put in everywhere else. But the room was busy, and a full house is always the most reliable review you can get. Now, the burgers. The Classic with tater tots? Excellent. The BBQ and the Original? Also excellent. The Chicken Ranch was outstanding -- rich, indulgent, the kind of thing that makes you briefly forget you're a person with consequences. I paid for that forgetting with a mild bout of indigestion, but one Tums and 20 minutes later, I was back in the game. No regrets. The chocolate milkshake hit exactly the spot it was aiming for. Fries, however, were the one miss -- good bones, but pulled from the fryer a minute or two shy of where they needed to be. Crispier, please. You're this close. Service was attentive and efficient. There's plenty of seating indoors and the interior was very clean. They have booths, which I love! The menu has a lot of great options on it. We opted for a burger with a side of fries, onion rings, a milkshake, and a grilled chicken sandwich. The food came out pretty quickly and was at perfect temperature! My sister really liked her burger and enjoyed the sauce. She noted that the buns were very fluffy. She wasn't a huge fan of the fries and I would agree that they can be improved. They were a bit dry and needed seasoning. The grilled chicken sandwich was delicious! I loved the pickles that came with it. I opted for a side of tator tots which were crisped to perfection. Hubby and I have heard a lot of hype about this place. It's a bit out of our way since we live in Santa Rosa but we had some extra time yesterday and decided to check it out. I decided on The Philadelphia (two smashed patties, tri-color bell pepper, provolone, grilled onions, and garlic aioli) and my husband went with the Reuben (corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and horseradish aioli on sliced rye). Both sandwiches came with our choice of fries, sweet potato fries, or tots. I opted for the fries while my husband went for the tots. The food was delicious!! My burgers were perfect- smashed thin and crispy around the edges but still super juicy. I couldn't get over the fact that we both got these huge plates of food for $10 and $14 each! To get here involves a maze of surface streets that only Rohnert Park would put you through. Came in on a dreary Sunday around noon. Place was maybe 1/4 full with two wait staff. The setup is pretty simple, clean, and modern. Heard this place fries with tallow the old fashioned way so decided I should come check this place out. We both ordered double classics with fries and milk shakes. I didn't really notice any difference with the fries, they were as good as in most places. The shakes were lovely, they give you the extra in the mixing cup as well like in the classic restaurants. I recommend the cookies & cream shake, I'm told it's the favorite here. Wish the banana shake used real bananas though, they're not expensive and it makes a big difference. The burgers were good, I usually forgo onions but this time they were grilled onions so I kept them. I had no idea about this place until it recently started popping up in my Sonoma County Foodies group. It's a bit "far" but we happened to be at an event right around the corner so it was the perfect spot for dinner on Saturday night. Came in around 7pm (they close at 8pm) and the place was pretty packed, ranging from families to older couples. Casual, clean, open restaurant. Service was friendly, professional and efficient. Everyone seemed to be working together so that was nice! Food - I ordered a double smashed burger with sweet potato fries. The brioche bun was a perfect holder for the well-seasoned, crispy-edged charred beef. It was juicy, cooked nicely with the slightest bit of pink. I did not add the sauce and it was not missed. Its super clean and comfy here and the service is great. I got the double cheeseburger with French fries. The burger is 2 smash burger patties, so super thin with a crisp edge, cheese on both patties, burger sauce, GRILLED ONIONS, pickles served on a soft grilled bun. So good. And this was a big burger, I couldn't finish it all. Ill definitely be back for the BBQ cowboy burger (not sure i got the name right but it has bacon and jalapenos and BBQ sauce also on it so, yeah...that one!) Major problem with throughput. This restaurant has had a year and a half to work out getting food to the tables in a timely manner and they just can't seem to do it. We waited close to 20 minutes from ordering the food until it arrived at our table. They indicated that they had had a new influx of customers related to the article in the Sonoma magazine. Felt busy but not congested Note we had this to go with a 20 min takeout drive back from RP to SR. Fries were below average a bit soggy not crisp. Tots were average and better. All of these likely much better in store. Don't recommend fries to go order. Kids all enjoyed their shakes well enough. Burger was a slightly better quality juicier version of a shake shack burger. I stopped by this evening after a friend described the food as "fine," which felt like a safe bet for a no-plan dinner. In hindsight, that was generous. The food? Exactly as advertised... fine. Not bad, not memorable, just there. But waiting nearly 45 minutes for two burgers and a milkshake? That part was impressive. I've never waited that long for something so aggressively average. We ordered to-go at the counter and got a bit of dinner theater while we waited. At one point, a cook was on his phone and fixing his hair, then went right back to handling food without changing gloves. The same employee who took our order also made our milkshake... and then put it in the freezer and seemingly forgot about it. While we waited, we also got to listen to staff openly vent about bad tips and difficult tables. Meanwhile, we were handed our burgers after about 25 minutes and told the milkshake was coming. Another 20 minutes later, it was finally "found" in the freezer by the same person who made it. For the price, I can see why people give it a shot. Overall, the burger tasted fine, but was lacking the texture a smash burger usually has. The patties also needed some additional seasoning as they were lacking some flavor. I had my choice of fries, sweet potato fries and tater tots, which I thought was a nice touch. Service was very friendly and prompt. Lunch can be crazy with the high school students so go earlier or later. The ambiance was not quite a greasy hamburger shop and not quite the modern aesthetic they promote.
