I'd like to formally lodge a complaint regarding the severe lack of communication, hostile management & prolonged delays experienced at Prestige Auto concerning the repairs for my 2021 BMW X3. My vehicle has now been at your shop for approximately (2) months & the matter remains entirely unresolved. For the past month, I've repeatedly requested a repair timeline. I didn't receive a status update for weeks. Furthermore, the shop has failed to follow clear instructions regarding payment processing & coordination with my insurance company via [supplement email address/Gainsco Insurance]. While the staff continues to attribute these delays to the insurance company, the primary issue stems from the shop's refusal to follow established procedures & respond to outstanding requests. When I spoke with the manager, Wen, to address these ongoing concerns, she was dismissive & failed to provide any resolution or professional customer service. When, stated, she is "not an attorney office." As a consumer, I am fully prepared to handle my obligations with the shop. Yet, I'm being penalized due to the team's failure to properly manage the insurance process. My vehicle currently remains at the facility awaiting the delivery of the final insurance payment & this entire experience has been completely unacceptable. Please do research beyond the latest google reviews online. This has been an absolute worst customer service experience ever. read more

If you want quality repair and paint job, and expect professional service, DO NOT USE this auto body shop! We ended up with more damages than repairs done to our car. My wife brought one of our cars to Prestige Auto Body to be repaired after a rear end collision. When we arrived to pick up the car on November 11, the person at the front desk told my wife the driver's side windshield wiper broke in the morning prior to our arrival, and that it is not their fault because the wiper was old (I personally installed the wiper during late spring this year). The wiper's metal body was badly bent and the connecting plastic parts were broken. I told the employee I doubt this damage occurred during normal conditions, and that it looks like it's being yanked out of its' place. He immediately became defensive. Another employee quickly joined the argument and took his colleague's side. At that point, I realized it was not worth arguing with people who have no problem sending a costumer home without a driver's side windshield wiper during a rainy day. I would refrain from elaborating on the lack of safety sending a customer to drive home without a windshield wiper when it rains outside, but this unprofessional and dangerous behavior raised so many red flags. I wanted to inspect the car immediately, but it was nearly impossible to determine much due to the rain. The next day the rain stopped and I was able to visually inspect the car. I found the clearcoat on one of the doors and on parts of the roof are literally ripped off, most likely by a masking tape used during the paint job. The quarter panel paint was wavy and it looks unprofessional. They even painted over previous imperfections, which looks bad. The chipped tail lamp was removed and replaced with used one. The clear coat on the roof beam had bubbles. Please see the pictures for more details. P.S. To the owners of the Prestige Auto Body, please do not reply to my review. This shop practices THIEVERY, and will still the drawls off your back if you are not looking. If you service your car at this business and don't mark each part on your entire car, including taking a photo of your mileage too, then you have just given them the opportunity to steal property from your car! BTW, here's some advice, don't even patronize this place, take your business elsewhere because when they're done servicing your vehicle, they help themselves to your car parts as well, replacing them with old, rusty non working parts and you're stuck with another bill! In hindsight, they are actually getting paid twice; robbing you by stealing and then selling your car parts, and getting paid again! UPDATE: Please don't believe anything they say first of all they aren't this luxury shop they claim to be they work on all used vehicles.I didn't see anything "exotic" while visiting a couple times that's the first lie. They come off like they're this prestigious exotic body work shop when they are truly the definition of BASIC. Everyone pretty much in America is driving a used car. Although my vehicle has 140k miles I take GOOD care, and GOOD maintenance of my car. It's not an old used lemon bucket. It's nice, Google 2011 Chevy Cruze. I never miss a scheduled maintenance. Now days everyone has a used vehicle, not a shocker. That's all you work on is used vehicles. I never looked at the bad reviews of Prestige Auto Inc. ( I trusted them) and their positive reviews, but as soon as I picked my car up it wasn't braking or accelerating fast like it usually does. They told me they would not foot the mechanical bill. Again I had NO PREVIOUS MECHANICAL ISSUES with this car prior to taking it in for bumper repair besides replacing the rear shock because of a pot hole. I'm not into defaming, or ruining people's reputation that's not the person I am, but I'm also not going to sugar coat anything or let people take advantage of me, and I feel this body shop tampered with my car. I sent my car to MY dealership/mechanic because I didn't trust them to do anything to my car. You did not offer to ride with me, you offered for another one of your mechanics to take a look. Absolutely not, anybody with sense would go to their trusted mechanic if something went wrong with their car. I really believe half of these Google reviews are fake and paid for. I'm just trying to do my due diligence, and make sure people research thoroughly. I wouldn't want to see anyone being scammed. They are very unprofessional, liars, horrible customer service, and quite frankly, I believe that they are thieves. They offer the same solution to the people who left negative reviews "take a look at our cameras". Cameras can be tampered with. They had horrible attitudes when I was just trying to figure out what happened with my car. They also held my car for an additional week and my insurance claims adjuster thought it was strange they hadn't finished a simple bumper repair in two weeks, but put in another supplement the day I was supposed to pick my car up. Which stayed an additional 5 more days. Please check for yourself and look at the negative reviews. Added below is my mechanic document stating my car was in need of no additional maintenance prior to taking it to this shop besides a rear shock. Please be aware. I think it's sick people prey on people because they can't make money the honest way. Maybe you can't afford your own bills? Your shop isn't even the best shop out here, it's not a luxury shop, it's a basic body shop that works on used cars and every now and then gets a luxury vehicle. Please don't act like you and your workers are are rich, or have any type of rich clientele, you probably are barely being paid anything, I guess you would have to result in scamming. I came home from a vacation. When I got into my beloved '05 Prius, I noticed little dust circles all over the dashboard. The circles were not dust. They were mold colonies. So much mold. But I hadn't had an accident and there was no obvious leak location. I considered getting it detailed to remove the dust but the detail companies all said it'd just come back unless I found the leak source. I strongly considered selling the car. I mean, it's 18 years old. But it runs amazingly well, so I figured I'd give fixing it a shot. After asking around, I brought it in to Prestige Auto Body. They were amazing! They found the leak - how, I have no idea - in the gasket around the driver's side mirror(!!). They fixed it, detailed the inside of the car, and paid less than the quote I got from the detailing company for just the mold removal! Amazing. I'm a happy, happy, happy customer! read more

Back in in March I had a terrible day! I was already a bit stressed out when as I backed out of my space in a small DC parking lot I hit a car passing by me. There was no way to see if anyone was coming as I don't have a back up camera on the car and large SUV vehicles surrounded me. I procrastinated for almost 2 months before having the car inspected and filing the insurance claim. Prestige Auto Body was incredible to deal with and I am so happy with the service & quality of the repair work. I had to return on Monday of the next week to drop my car but between the Friday of my visit and Monday Wen at Prestige helped me set up my rental car from Hertz. Parts had to be ordered and when I checked in mid week for an update and complained that the AC on my rental car didn't work she took the time to call them on my behalf. She got a much better response than I did as it's one of their working partners. This Hertz store is less than a half mile from Prestige & my insurance paid 80 percent of the daily fee before taxes. When Wen at Prestige told me that there was still a missing part for bumper I was a bit disappointed but to my great joy I was contacted Thursday afternoon to confirm if I could pick up my car at 5:30 the next day. I drove the short distance from Prestige to return my the rental to Hertz. Hertz drove me back. When I arrived my car was parked in front of Prestige. The bumper & the left and right back sides of the car looked like new! As I was told on Wednesday my repair work bill was covered minus my deductible of $500! The inside of my car & trunk were nice and clean. I can't say enough good things about the customer service and the quality of the repair work! I took my car here for a collision repair because this shop was in the insurance company's network. They did an excellent job with the repair and had it ready just two days after I dropped it off. I was pleased that they even left the inside of my car cleaner than when I dropped it off. The only downside was that I had to wait an entire month to schedule repair from the date of estimate. However, this seems like a common problem among repair shops these days. Fortunately I was still able to drive the car during that time. I would return here again if it suited my needs. read more

This is such an amazing Auto body shop. I would highly recommend this shop!When I dropped my car off the entire side of my car was damaged. Carlos, the manager, stated that it might take up to two weeks to fix my car. I expressed that I really needed my car back in no more than a week and a half. He said that would be a really fast turn around but he would try. Carlos called me a week later and said that my car was ready to be picked up. Less time than I even thought! The car came back extremely clean with great attention to detail for fixing even small things. Definitely ask to speak to Carlos when there. read more

Excellent experience here, it's about what ultimately the car looks like after they've fixed it, and this is good as new. The silver paint color, all the trim and marker lights match up nicely. Prestige took the time to get it just right, everything matches up well. They work with the insurance company so no need to even FAX the repair order. They took pictures of the damage to the vehicle, they did it all. Good location, near enough to the DC line and Silver Spring Metro so that it's silly to drive all around the horses' barn when we have a good neighbor right up the street in the form of Prestige Auto Body. ***Never understood how this is called Philadelphia Avenue when the street doesn't align with the rest of Philadelphia, which is East West Highway (route 410)...dunno...Prestige Auto Body location is such that I could walk a block and cross Georgia Avenue to catch the VanGo freebie bus to Silver Spring Metro. This place is as good as it gets. I was hit by a metro bus a couple of months ago and recommended here by my insurance company, Nationwide. They were very helpful and accommodating. Fast forward to the other day... I tried to open the hood, where I had the repair work done, and realized that it wouldn't open. So I called to see if it was the repair work that could be causing the issue; Hector told me to bring it as soon as possible. I did so and he realized that I had most likely been hit by an SUV or truck while it was parked. Love DC, but street parking is a bitch!. He showed me the indention and that the grill had a small crack. With that said, he told me he would fix it as a courtesy. Sure enough, within an hour they had the grill back in for me and my hood was free to open, and all because I had body work with them done prior. Mind you, this doesn't fall under the guarantee but they're just solid like that. Thank you, Prestige! Those guys are the best. read more

Poor service, poor and untruthful communication. They had my car over a month for what initially was supposed to take a week. They told my insurance company one thing and told me a total different story. They tried to get more money from me outside of what the insurance company authorized and had an attitude when I refused. They replaced my cars engine and returned the car to me with No engine oil, and the car was pass E on the gas tank. I started my car the next day and it was louder than usual, drove 20miles and the engine locked. Took it to Marlow Auto body and they had to fix what Prestige did not. read more

My insurance company gave me the name of this place and I only took my car here because I wanted work to begin immediately rather than scout for places to take my car, and they were conveniently located near my house and work. I really distrust autobody shops over dealerships, probably just based on appearances. My car dealership doesn't always get it right; I've been disappointed by my dealership a few times before over minor things. I've only been to Prestige Autobody once, but for a major repair, and they did a great job. They got right to work on my car, completed their work in a reasonable time, kept me updated, and were very polite. I'm very satisfied and I would do business with them again. read more

If I listed everything that was wrong with my encounter with this shop, no one would ever read the entire review. I was sent here by Elephant Insurance and after 4 weeks (due in large part to parts not being available due to it being a 2018) they tried to pass off horrible work. The body panel that was repaired was not straight, the paint had multiple scratches and flaws, they broke the tab that held a turn signal light onto my vehicle and tried to pass it off, the car was filthy with shop dust both inside and out and communicating with Jeremy was like trying to chase down a toddler! The response to these problems was another 2 weeks of back and forth and poor workmanship and finally we were authorized to take it to another shop to fix/finish the job! I would never bring my car to get repaired here. I recently got into a accident and messed up my bumper and head light. This place was one of the repair shops that my insurance company recommended me to go to. when my car was ready to be picked up you could tell that the bumper clearly didn't fit on the car and there was no cover on the bottom. So i had to take time out to come back up to the repair shop to get it fixed. Once the new bumper was attached where the body and bumper met it was sticking out. I've had to come up to the shop a total of three times already to have my bumper fixed and no one can seem to get it right. read more

Someone side-swiped my car while I was parked in a lot behind a grocery store, and I came out to find a good-sized dent. Prestige did a terrific job of restoring a side panel of my car, and it looks almost better than new. Someone hit my car and this was the body shop recommended by their insurance. This establishment was near my employer so I decided to give it a try. Boy am I glad I did! I believe his name was Tony and he was professional, polite and explained everything to me in detail. Nowadays I don't feel you can get genuine customer service but Prestige proved me wrong! My car was ready early, again everything was explained to me in detail and I was on my way! I would definitely recommend this body shop to anyone who needs body work. This place is unique in the world of automotive repair. The posters on the wall in the office give a clue to the excellence throughout the operation. As a woman I'm generally uncomfortable in the mechanic/body shop world but this place is different. I drove by two other places and just couldn't make myself stop to go in. At another I was ignored until I gave up and went away. At Prestige I immediately felt welcome. They listened to my problem (uninsured damage) and suggested surprisingly affordable solutions. I ended up getting more work done than I anticipated because of the kind, thoughtful, and professional service. I totally agree with the woman who rated Prestige Auto with 1 star. Abysmal. Unethical. Poor communication.They told me that my car was ready, so I too\k off work again to get it, only to find that they had fixed the wrong car, and not mine.The next time I went pick it up, the wrong part had been repainted (it was a simple fenderbender). Someone had obviously used my car during the interim since the gas level was noticeably lower. When I finally got it back, the car had not been cleaned from the repair work, it was really dirty inside, and a big greasy thumb print is still on the ashtray, like someone tried to see if there was any money in it. When I went online to file a complaint on the website, I was blocked. SO the management is as dishonest as the workforce. I will never go back there and advise people to stay away from it. My insurance company, who recommended Prestige, wouldn't hear of any complaint. SO here it is. read more
