Finally, the City of Annapolis rebuilt the Noah Hillman Garage in downtown Annapolis and the new structure opened in 2023. The new garage is in the same location as the old garage and it is nestled between Duke of Gloucester Street and Main Street although the official address is 150 Gorman Street. Gone are the days of rusted out staircases and feisty parking attendants. The new garage has more parking spaces including spots with electric charging stations. Payment is now done through the Premiere Parking app or through a kiosk. Thankfully the days of backups at the exit waiting to pay or fighting the ticket machine are done. Originally tearing down the old garage and rebuilding the new garage was estimated to take about 16 months but Annapolis got it done in about 13 months. I was worried as it was my first time using the service that I'd arrive to an empty lot with no attendant. When we arrived there were plenty of people around and the front attendant gave us our parking spot. As soon as a pulled into the spot the shuttle arrived behind us to help us load up which was amazing service. Now, here's where the half star is lost. Almost every spot in our row was completely covered in ice and barely shoveled out. We had six bags, a stroller, and two car seats we had to unload which became very difficult to navigate while making sure we didn't slip on ice. I really wish the lot had done a better job at cleaning the spots. In fact, when we parked I had to climb onto a small bank of snow and didn't know if I'd be able to get out when I returned in a week. The shuttle dropped us off at the airport and gave us detailed instructions on where to return when we got back. When we arrived back there was a shuttle waiting outside so we had no wait. Again, excellent customer service! I asked the driver if he could stick around and make sure we could get out of the spot which he agreed to. After a little slipping and sliding our car made it out and he helped us load up again. I will forever use this service as the cost was very affordable and service was flawless.

The very next morning, my friend and I were again in Annapolis and parked in a garage further up West Street, she had to hit the portal over and over again to finally make a payment. He had provided proper instructions at the gate, my bad. The driver, he is an Air Force Veteran, was also very professional. Helped us with loading and unloading our baggage. The special I received was discount on parking that you could reserve up to a month before use. I was sent a QR code shortly before my trip to use when coming to the business. Upon entering the business, I was directed by a pleasant staff person to checkin in via QR code and they radioed the driver to let them know we were coming in and to wait to take us to the airport terminal. We parked and the pleasant driver assisted us with our luggage, gave us a card with our parking space number, and after picking up a couple more customers, we were on our way to the airport. Once we arrived at our airline stop, they assisted us with taking off our luggage. When we return, there is an area outside of BWI where they will come and we will board the van to take us to the business to pick up our vehicle. All in all, The Parking Spot West adequately meets the needs for off-airport parking for us.
