Needed a spare key for my Mercedes based motorhome. The dealer has discontinued the key, thank goodness these guys have the parts and the know how, Tony came out and cut me 2 keys with remotes, then programmed the remotes then cut 8 outer cabin keys while there. We did discovered that the mechanical key would not unlock the door, the remotes worked fine. The problem was a broken linkage and Tony showed me what I needed to do to replace it. I asked for a quote, the flat rate would be $195 according to them. I gave the make and model of my car along with the year, I asked multiple times to make sure I would have the budget for it. Once the guy was here there was FEE after FEE, the "f it fee" the "f u fee" the "just because fee" it ended up being close to $500 dollars. A SCAM. I lost my car's key fob and the dealership wanted to charge me about $500-$600 dollars on top of a drive to the dealer and long wait. I called Prestige and magic happened. Quick service for a car lockout! I was stranded near a business I was visiting, miles away from home.

I lost our spare key fob for our car. I decided we needed a spare one so I asked Yelp to blast a request for key replacement service. As we all know, keys are not keys anymore. Very few actually are put in a socket to start a car. So, something that was so easy and inexpensive to copy at the local hardware store now requires computers and a technician to reprogram the new key fob. We have push button start and it requires a specialized key for both the doors and the ignition. Most of the initial quotes, I received 6, would supply a replacement key, but it would not start the car. The key inserted into a covered slot behind the push button. NO. I wanted an exact replacement. I had to communicate to each of the quoting vendors my push button start requirement. That immediately eliminated 2 of the vendors as they could not supply or program the keyless start. Of the 4 remaining, only one had been truthful from the start, Prestige Mobile Locksmith. He was willing to match anyone's price, but explained the difference in key fobs. I appreciated his honesty so I choose Tony to replace my key. He gave me a exact factory replacement, fully programmed, and laser cut the emergency key inside the fob, quickly. He explained what he was doing and why keyless fobs were so expensive - the internal wireless module is VERY expensive and suppliers had to be factory approved. I checked on it with other vendors and online and he was correct. I highly recommend Tony and Prestige Mobile Locksmith. He was fast. He was honest. He charged a fair price.
