We booked Roberto and his team for a long distance move from Houston to Long Island City, NY. Roberto is hilarious and incredibly friendly, loves to chat about anything and everything if you're into that, prompt to respond by text. He came by our apartment to review the contents before giving us a quote, then came by again so I could sign the contract and give him the deposit. He was very flexible not only in letting us slightly adjust the move-in date but also letting us book him before we even had a destination address! (New York *rolls eyes*) He and his large team arrived promptly on move-out date, were so insanely efficient that they completely moved us into the truck (1b1b apartment) in barely more than an hour (including disassembling our table and bedframe), even when another moving company started using our freight elevator. He kept me updated by text and in just 3 short days was in LIC ready to move us in. Even with just a 2-man crew in NY with a tricky and tight flight of stairs they moved us in in just 3 hours including rebuilding the bedframe and dining table. Absolutely no damage to any of our stuff including a moderately large sofa and 65 inch flatscreen among other items. Was quick to give me the moving invoice how I needed it for reimbursement with my new job. I can't say enough good things about my experience. If you're able to spring for a private mover instead of taking a huge risk with a moving broker and having your stuff languish for weeks, Roberto and his Prestige team are your best bet. Very professional! 5 star ratings are well deserved based on our own experience. We couldn't have done this move as efficiently without them. They wrapped up all furniture properly and safely transferred. They also covered up the carpeted area where they transferred materials and wore protective covering on their shoes as requested. The main thing that had to be tackled was a heavy elliptical machine that I honestly wasn't sure how it would be out of the house and into the other safely - but they did it! There was a minor chip on a corner of one of the legs that was plastic, but nothing major and made no difference on its function - it was disassembled for safe removal from the first home and assembled properly at the other and he even made sure I tried it right after to know that it's working and was very apologetic. We moved from 2 bedroom apartment unit located at 3rd floor to a single house with 4 bedroom. They contacted you via text message and were very responsive (less than 15min). They took good care of our boxes and furniture. I was planning on putting two box springs into the mattress bag for easy moving but they said they can just use their bag so I can return the mattress bags I purchased from U-Haul. Prestige moved my mother across town and they did a fantastic job! They assisted with packing over the weekend and came back a couple days later to move her entire townhome across Houston. She can be particular about her belongings (and has a lot of them) and the Prestige team did a great job taking tremendous care of her items. We were VERY pleased with their employees. We had such a great experience then that we hired them to move us from Cincinnati to North Carolina this past weekend. They handled our items with the utmost of care. We have these huge 12ft. mirrored doors from the Netherlands and other breakable items that made it safely. They wrap all breakable items and pack/unpack the truck very carefully and strategically. It was an hourly rate and they worked very fast and efficiently. All of my furniture (including a couch that had to be moved over the balcony) without damaging anything. So much wasted time on frivolous things, they did not unwrap or take plastic off 35% of furniture, I have now found 4 or maybe 5 broken items/pieces of furniture, one of which is an antique from the late 1800's which i expressed to all 3 workers that this was EXTREMELY delicate and fragile and needs to be handled with care, therefore this is why I've decided to write this review to warn others before foolishly hiring them... because, now, it makes more sense why they rushed off after charging me $1k to move a 3 bedroom home which 1/4th of it was already moved. The smallest move I've ever made when it comes to hiring "professionals" (as i use that term extremely loosely) and this was by far the worst experience as they do not care about your items; They will stack your stuff up however they choose and they do not care what could get ruined and it shows. Hindsight, I would have singlehandedly moved myself and I probably should have if I wasn't a single mom battling cancer. I would NOT hire these guys ever again. I had a horrible experience with movers a year ago because the guys would stand and talk, walk around and look at things, move very slowly, and they would look at me and slowly move again when I told them to pick up the pace. The movers from Prestige worked and moved over 50 boxes (plus furniture) out of a storage unit and into my home within 2-3 hours, just like Robert, the representative said they would do.
