We called Prestige Plumbing Services--they were highly recommended by a family member--that evening, they got back to us Saturday morning and by Saturday afternoon we had both a new water heater AND our new plumbers. We had a slow water leak under the kitchen sink cabinet. A few neighbors recommended Prestige Plumbing so I called Robert. His brother Richard showed up within 2 hours, carefully examined the leak and discussed with Robert. They told me that the leak was likely under the slab and they did not have the detection equipment and suggested that I found another company that had the equipment. They did not charge anything even though Richard drove 25 minutes one way from Encino. As Robert (on the phone) and Richard sounded quite straightforward, a week later when we needed to replace the water main valve, I called Robert and asked for a quote. Sure enough the price Robert gave was only 60% of what another firm quoted (and with multiple discounts). Both brothers showed up on time and finished the job nice and clean. We had an old house, and had used quite a few plumbing companies over the years, unfortunately it is quite rare these days to find one that is competent, honest and not greedy. Had a leak from our bathtub, submitted a request with AHS at 9AM, and Robert & his partner showed up at 2PM. So impressed with his expertise. A small o-ring was pinched in between the bolt causing the leak, which was behind the bath fixtures and beyond that inside the freaking wall, but he diagnosed it in 30 minutes. Great experience. I hired them through our home warranty company. Another plumber had told us that we needed a new regulator and wanted to charge us an excessive amount to replace it. So yesterday when my warranty co. assigned Prestige Plumbing, I went to Yelp to check them out and was relieved to see so many good reviews. I called, and they called me back within an hour to set up an appt. for first thing the next morning. He showed up on time, fixed the issue quickly, and there was a part that he didn't have on him, so he went to Home Depot, picked it up, and came back to finish the job.
