The ambiance is typical fast food restaurant with a bunch of booths on the perimeter and tables in the center. Serve yourself soft drinks. Very clean. They have a bunch of lunch specials each for $11. I went with a small sausage pizza and a small garden salad. The garden salad was really fairly big with lettuce, onions, tomato, cucumber and carrots. Really good. The pizza won't win any prizes compared to the pizza you can get in a fancy Italian restaurant. But for fast food pizza, it is tasty. And the food comes on real plates and silverware, not paper and plastic. Nice touch. read more

Hands down one of the best places to eat! I've always wanted to try the one in Santa Clarita, but with a special needs child, it's sometimes hard to have a lovely dinner. Until we found the one in Camarillo. It's been awhile since we've been in Ventura and omgeeee! We found a pasta restaurant that has great food and a drive thru so we can have our meal at the beach, park or even outside at their patio area! This is a big plus, because we can eat in peace and we don't have to worry about our son having an emotional breakdown. Came in yesterday for our Anniversary. We've been coming here for years and I had the opportunity to try the lasagna. Incredible. They use Italian sausage for the meat instead of ground beef and it was amazing. I don't think I've had a better lasagna. The pasta with chicken was very good also, The service is fast, and friendly, and they have drive thru ordering. I always find it funny to order Italian food at a drive thru. We are happy to have a quality fast service Italian restaurant in Camarillo. The quality and quantity may not be as nice as Buca Di Beppo, Olive Garden, or Ottavio's, but it's nice to be able to have a casual Italian dinner without having to spend hours for a meal. Best of all, this place supports school and PTA fundraisers! Ambiance: It's okay for a fast food restaurant. The nice thing about this location is the booth seating. The dining room is a little loud and you are sitting very nearby other tables, so not much privacy. They also have an outdoor seating area. Service: Good service at the counter when ordering and when the food is being served by the servers. The menu is very big, so the staff is very patient and accommodating to our questions and orders. Food: The food is delicious for being fast food. The noodles for all of our dishes were cooked well and the sauces were all tasty. We also had a salad that looked very fresh and a soup that has good ingredients. It's also nice to be able to order wine at such a casual restaurant. Camarillo is lucky to have Pesto Pasta. There are more locations across Ventura County, so I recommend this place to anyone wanting a quality and quick Italian meal. read more

In the heart of the great city of Camarillo sits Presto Pasta. Walking in, the decor was nice with an indoor overhead glass patio on one of its side, reminiscent of the restaurant by the bay in Newport Beach. I always loved seeing those style of architecture in the restaurant as it adds to the uniqueness to this place. Additionally, this place boasts a drive-thru to beat. Unfortunately, all good things end there. While the inside is nice with a vase of rose/flower as a centerpiece, I can't tell if I'm at a Wendy's, Carl's Junior, or an upscale restaurant. I see wine glass on the table, juxtaposed by the coca cola free style machine in the foreground. I see counter placards like Carl's Jr Fast food when you place an order so the servers know where you are located for the food. However, I do have to say that it makes the restaurant unique so perhaps don't change that or take this review of the decor too seriously. Ah, the food, yes let's talk about the food for that is the main point of this review. For the price, the food is rather found wanting. While the presentation is nice, the food lacks volume in terms of taste. Sampling the penne parmesan, it looks kind of watery and tasted as such, with the sharp tomato taste cutting through with the acidity. The chicken was kind of dry. I tasted my friend's alfredo linguini and while it tasted slightly better, both of the food did not leave me wanting to take another bite. Lastly, the price is kind of expensive for the food that you're ordering, with everything being at least $15+ The food reminds me of cafeteria food in elementary school, despite the best effort of grating parmesan cheese by the tableside by the servers. I feel if the restaurant were to lower its price, it might gain another star as appropriate to the quality of the food being served. read more

It was Friday evening and after a two hour basketball workout, I was craving some pasta. Given that I was only a couple minutes away, I decided to give Presto Pasta's Camarillo location a try. Called in an order for my go-to, the Chicken Parmigiana. No combo or sides, just a small request to add freshly grated Parmesan cheese on top of the pasta. Repeated it two more times just to confirm they understood. I arrive 10 minutes later, the chicken parm is ready to go and one of their employees rings me up. I notice a $2 up charge for 2 slices of cheese, so I ask "did you put fresh Parmesan cheese on the pasta?" The employee replies "ummm not sure, let me check... I dont know, I think they put extra mozzarella slices on the chicken." Saddened, I told him it was fine and I'll just take it as is. Immediately, a younger blonde worker comes and says "we can fix that for you!!" She took the plate, opened the lid, and added a generous amount of fresh grated Parmesan. Hallelujah! I told her thank you so much multiple times, and off I went. Too bad I didn't catch her name, because her prompt eagerness to fix the problem is a great employee attribute! Now for the dish. The pasta was yummy, cooked perfectly, and layered with a nice amount of cheese. The chicken was hiding somewhere under that double blanket of cheese, but was crispy and warm. Garlic bread was pretty good, nice even coating but almost seemed store bought to me. 3.5 stars. But since I'm in a good mood, and the meal satisfied my craving, I'll round up to 4 today. read more

It's a great yummy combo for me. My wife loves the eggplant parm dish, and my son enjoys the mozzarella appetizer. Lastly and the best part is that they sell Cheesecake Factory cheesecakes. This was my first visit to this Presto pasta location in Camarillo. I've been to one of the other locations out in Ventura and I was craving their pasta. I was going to be passing by so I had ordered my food online so it was ready when I was swinging by the area. They made it very convenient and easy to be able to order items online. I had to do some cross referencing on the different sauces from their website. I went with the option that I customize my own pasta dish so I had added meatballs and sausage and I also ordered , an order of their garlic knots, which were actually amazing. It was drenched in a garlic sauce, and it was extremely tasty. The pasta was really good to you and it's a very generous, helping other which was amazing. I was living my best life. I come in during lunchtime, and the dining area was fairly packed, which is great for them is also really hot there so I'm sure people is enjoying that air conditioning inside. They had a designated pick up area on the left-hand side of the counter so I had walked in, and my food was ready to go and it was quick and painless. Presto Pasta in Camarillo is my favorite comfort food restaurant in Camarillo. The food is very good, the prices and portions are great, and the service is phenomenal. If you order a dinner combo I recommend getting it with a salad since their side salads are as big as most places' full salads. However, I do order soup sometimes since I really like their tomato bisque soup. For all these reasons I go to Presto Pasta more than any other restaurant in Camarillo. read more

When we ordered, the server suggested making of our items a meal since we wanted a salad and it was a cheaper option. Sat at our table , place had just finished from a rush and they were tidying up accordingly . Got our order from another friendly server, came back promptly with fresh grated cheese . Had other server come check on us about our meal. Went to the counter wanted more cheese , no problem walked back to my table to bring us more fresh grated cheese. My family has been enjoying a variety of menu items at Presto Pasta for 25 years now. We mainly ate at the Newbury Park location , but since it has closed, today we ordered delivery from Camarillo. We ordered Chicken Parmigiana to share, and we were extremely dissatisfied. There was only one piece of cheese on one of the two pieces of chicken. There was a small amount of sauce under the cheese, but otherwise there was no sauce on the chicken, and the chicken had no seasoning. I added cheese, sauce, oregano, and thyme to improve the meal. We had just recently visited this location. It had been a year since last visiting and we had a horrible experience. We have visited this location before and had great experience with the staff and food. We ordered our food and the staff had taken our order however he didn't read it back to me or provide a copy of the receipt. He was very courteous and quick. However when we got our food he had forgotten to have chicken added to my order so he had to check if i had ordered it which I did, but we didn't get a receipt. So we waited and when it came he had accidentally spilled it on the floor and some of it when on our clothes. We didn't get upset since it appeared to be an accident and he apologized. But he didn't offer to help us any napkins. We moved to another table so that they clean up the mess, but they didn't apologize or check on us. I received my full order and was asked if there was anything else. We were waiting for my son's pizza, but was told it wasn't included in the order. Again I don't have a receipt, so they gave me a copy and showed it wasn't included so I had to pay for one and again wait for my sons pizza to come I order to eat. My pasta was slightly over cooked, but didn't want to send it back. Just wanted to get out of there since we were already there for an hour. I would have thought that the staff would come and apologize for all the mishaps that happened. But we just left. I may have to switch locations. read more
