For what it is, a reasonably fast pasta restaurant, this is as good as it gets around Simi Valley. We were excited to see them come to town a few months ago and have been 3 times now. Each time, the servers are friendly and helpful, the food is served warm and is always tasty, and the entire facility is clean and well kept. My wife had a meatball sandwich the other night and said it was great! I'm more fond of the spicy pasta dishes and haven't been disappointed. If there is a shortcoming, I wish they served more than one small piece of garlic bread with their entrees. I don't want to forget, they also make a fine garden salad. I love the taste of the chicken piccata, however, that was the Camarillo location. This location not so much, much less flavor. My mproblem is the Cust service aspect. I went there with my sister, and daughter. I purchased one meal, on the 8th of May. More than two weeks later, 2 charges, for the same amount of money, showed up on my debit card. I went in in person, was never allowed to speak to the manager in person. My phone number and name were taken down. 4 days later, I get a call from a Kira, asking me to explain all over again, what happened. I'm told that they did not make a mistake, but that my card was inserted to the card reader, on both the 8th and 9th! No, I was only there on the 8th! She suggested that my card was compromised, but it was not. I had no other inappropriate charges on my card. Very poor customer service, especially for a brand new business in my town. Very displeased! Also, what place puts charges thru, more than 2 weeks after your visit?!!! RIDICULOUS! Update as of June 12th, 2018, the owner called me recently, and discussed with me what had happened with my credit card. He explained that they're having numerous problems with the new credit card readers that they have installed. So I'm going to modify my review, he offered to give me some coupons for eating there in the future so he sent those to me and I just received them. I appreciate that he took the time to call me back personally, and to help me out with the issue I was having, so I will change my review and make it higher stars. read more

This place recently opened here in Simi, so I made my way over there a few weeks after it opened. There was plenty of FREE parking, which is weird to say, but we all know its coming The building is new construction so everything was new, sparkly and aesthetically pleasing. It has indoor and outdoor seating. It is a walk-up order place, take your number and find your seating. I ordered the chicken parmesan ($10) and added a Cesar salad and a drink ($4). The place was moderately busy (11:30 am) but I had no problem finding a seat Food came wicked fast, like 5 minutes, which I'm a big fan of. The order comes with a piece of garlic bread and a good sized serving of pasta and marinara sauce. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and the sauce was good. The chicken was fried perfectly and was super tender, note: no knifes were used in the consumption of this meal. All the food was fresh, flavorful, cooked perfectly and served hot, a really solid effort. I also noticed that the staff seemed strangely competent. No confusion, no befuddled looks on their cherub faces, which is not typical for a recent opening. They checked on me four times during my 20-30 visit. I'm suspicious! They certainly can't keep this level of performance up for too long, its just not how the world works, right? My advice, get it while its good folks. #lunchspot read more

I'll be really honest....I did not want to like this place at alllll....but I actually really love it. The idea of a fast food Italian spot is just....weird. I am Italian and grew up on the east coast eating authentic Italian food from little mom and pop shops my whole life, so when I heard of this chain opening up in the area, I wanted nothing to do with it. Plus my luck with good Italian food in the area has been terrible so I almost gave up....until I caved and tried this place. I NEEDED chicken parm in my life without going to Olive Garden (which is another sub-par Italian spot IMO but tolerable) or I was going to die. Sure I'm exaggerating, but the craving has been so strong I just needed something to hit the spot to knock the craving down....and this did it. I checked out their menu online, along with reviews and pictures so I knew what i wanted. The chicken parm meal comes with pasta and garlic bread I think? But I was able to upgrade my meal with a salad and a drink for about $16. Already kinda impressed because that was a really good deal for a meal with all of that. The portion size was really large too, super filling, I actually was able to split my meal into two. I thought it was a fluke honestly, like no way the food was THAT good....so two weeks later I was craving it yet again and decided I would go back and try their chicken parm sandwich this time. That was really good too! Although questionable choice of bread, (that may be the east coast in me where real hero bread is a thing) but this was more like a ciabatta type loaf roll? I'm not sure but it was still good, just didn't hold the chicken cutlets the way it's supposed to when covered in sauce & cheese. All in all, just wow, in the best way possible. Came 15 min to closing on a Monday night and it took like 30 min to get our to go order. We enjoyed our fettuccine with giant artichoke hearts. Oh man, where do I begin. A beautiful design from the outside and in with a warm yet casual feel. You are greeted with a smile and right away you feel welcomed. The service is exceptional, you could tell they put in a good amount of time training hospitality. The food was superb and served table side with an option to add table side freshly graded parmesan cheese. My wife ordered the Cajun Chicken Special, my kids split the Chicken Piccata and I (since I'm on a special diet) ordered their "Low Carb Special" which consisted of grilled chicken, mushrooms, zucchini, carrots, broccoli mixed up in a tasty Mariana sauce. The table also shared the garlic knots and fried mozzarella sticks which were amazing and homemade. My wife also had a salad and it was very good and fresh! Super Excited to have Presto Pasta move into Simi Valley. Since they have opened I have eaten there 4 different times. The line moves so quickly, the staff is super friendly even though they are learning. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. I love the look of this new location, I have eaten at the Location in Camarillo, San Fernando Valley, and even in San Luis Obispo when it was there. The Simi Valley location has a fresh new look to the menu and the restaurant. I also love that you can dine in or takeout. I highly recommend checking out this place for lunch or dinner. Cooks in the back don't look like they care about making your food and it shows. Quality was good in the past but recently it has gone down big time. Last time my fried artichokes tasted like sanitizer. And I know because I've worked as a cook. This time there was plastic in my ranch cup. Like a huge piece of a plastic bag or glove. They pay attention to special requests about half of the time. For a $10 meal I expect mediocre, but it's like rolling the dice to get a good meal here now. Plenty of other places to eat. read more

The garlic knots I got to go were swimming in oil which was all over the bag when I got home and all mushy. They should pack the oil separately. So this is my second time here, and each time no complaints. Staff is friendly, managers/owners seem to care about my opinion. Food is delicious, restaurant is clean. 1st time I ordered the lasagna, so delicious and the garlic Texas style bread was so worth it. Today I tried a build your own pasta. So ravioli, artichoke, shrimp, with Alfredo sauce... turned out perfect, wishing I added tomatoes and basil though. (Thought about that for next time.) hubby got the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Says it was really good, but wished the chicken was grilled just a little longer. My daughter also had the kids portion of fettuccine Alfredo, which honestly, for the price, is enough to fill me up. The soda machine is one of those multiple choice touch screen so you can have I believe a choice of 30 different types of drinks, very nice variety. Besides having good food and service, they also help organizations and schools to do fundraisers. I went yesterday with my family to raise money for our son's school and also to try it since we haven't had a chance to go. It was sooo good, we had the fettuccine alfredo with chicken combo, chicken parmigiana and my son had the pepperoni pizza. A solid meal for a great price. I liked the ability to get a meal without pasta. Marinara chicken and veggies was good but not quite filling enough. So if you choose this option get the side salad as well. Overall the food is decent but it is far too salty. I'm a salt loving person but even I found this to be too much. I'm not sure how the sauces are prepared if they are done so in house or elsewhere. But if it's in house I would recommend reviewing the amount of salt used. There is only one soda machine and it's the Coke mixology station. Great options but it's a bottleneck. A nice change to the standard restaurants in this area. read more

If you haven't tried Presto pasta (Erringer /Los Angeles Ave., Simi Valley) you have to stop by, their food is amazing and it's affordable!. The customer service is over the top. A great place with great food, thumbs up!. I look for good deals for my senior friends (I'm a caregiver) and family. As you get older you eat less so getting 2 meals out of 1 (seniors) it really helps on a fixed income. I think the most expensive item on their menu is $12. This is only my second review.
