Absolutely amazing! I am pregnant and found out my baby's gender two days ago. Pretty Sweet was able to make a dozen custom cupcakes in 4 flavors by the next day and filled a few of them with pink so my parents and baby girl could eat them to reveal the gender. These cupcakes were AMAZING! The salted caramel ones were my favorite! Everyone kept asking me where I got them because they were delicious! Nothing is worse than gritty frosting and these cupcakes were smooth, divine and very reasonably priced. While in the shop I also couldn't help but get two macarons to go. We usually come to this spot after we hang out at SeaQuest. We always order a dozen of macarons as they are tasty and delicious. I always forget to take photos because my daughter is already munching on them. We like this place as it quaint and not a lot of folks during the period we visit. The staff here are friendly and I like that they have a restroom that's clean for my daughter to use. It's big enough for me to change my son as well if needed. I'm a Starbucks but so I didn't care for the coffee but the chai tea was pretty good. Pretty Sweet was the provided cake vendor for our wedding through our all-inclusive wedding venue. The process was great until we went in to pick up our tasting sample. The staff was not friendly at all. I would expect, or even hope, that someone would smile or say congrats, or something. But we looked beyond that, excited about our tastings. When we got home and tried them, they were dry and flavorless. Both coconut and lemon flavors just tasted like vanilla. Not the quality of cake I would expect a wedding cake to be. I sent them an email regarding this. They said, quote, "If you are looking for a moister cake, we recommend our chocolate and red velvet flavors." First, that's pretty much admitting that you know your cakes are dry. And second... you're asking the bride and groom to NOT order what they want? TERRIBLE CUSTOM CAKE (& CUSTOMER SERVICE) EXPERIENCE- DO NOT RECOMMEND GIVING THEM YOUR BUSINESS OR RISKING YOUR EVENTS CAKE!!!! Updating this review (still 1 star - I would absolutely give ZERO if I could). Keep in mind I do not write negative reviews, not even one - ever! This has been the worst experience I have ever had with ANY business PERIOD. Their customer service (& cake) was horrendous in every way imaginable. I ordered a custom cake from them for my birthday and they got the order wrong. (Not to mention the cake itself was terrible tasting... it was dry and literally 70% frosting! I have never had such a bad cake... you're better off getting one at the supermarket, honestly.) When I reached out to them letting them know I was disappointed that I paid for a specific custom cake (which many times I reiterated the order so there would be absolutely no confusion & they said my order was clear and confirmed it) - they simply said sorry. I asked for a refund, as the cake I received was not the cake I ordered/ paid for. They reluctantly agreed to only giving me half refund. Then, when I would check in asking when the refund would come in as promised (they told me they could only do it via Venmo, which I said was fine), they said they would do it on another day & were absolutely rude whilst withholding said refund. When they finally responded about a week later, they *said* they would give me $40 "as agreed" (I never agreed to this) - which was still less than half the refund they said they would give. And they still withheld the refund. At this point I was completely frustrated with their lack of customer service. I let them know if they were not going to give the refund - I would not only be writing a full review, but also going to the better business bureau with the intention of getting my money owed. Their response was (and I quote directly copy and pasted from the email) "Lady! ...You want to write a review? Go ahead You wanna keep emailing us...? Go ahead since you have so much extra time on your hands!" When it's not that I have extra time on my hands - I would have been ELATED to avoid this experience all together had they just got the order right in the first place (even if it tasted terrible as it did, at least had gotten it correct) or if they had just given me the refund right off the bat (instead of emailing intermittently and writing me off and withholding said refund). Last thing I want to be doing with ANY of my time is attempting to get my money owed from rude customer service business owners. Or even having to sit here and write this review! The way they handled me, and the situation? Was atrocious. I just want to save any potential customers from having this kind of experience, it was literally that bad. I don't know how they are still in business with their cakes being that bad along with the customer service being so horrible. Usually businesses can survive without one or the other, but without both? No thanks. All that being said.... save yourself the energy, and the money. Go somewhere else. It's genuinely not worth it, especially at their price point. Ps. If you take a look at their other negative reviews, you'll notice a pattern of both the cake being super dry and the customer service being horrific. I updated the review to this after our entire week long interaction. Because I have been appalled with your service. You have been extremely rude and unprofessional the whole way through. The fact that you're publicly trying to make it seem like you handled the situation okay is not even surprising at this point. All because you eventually begrudgingly gave me half a refund. Which you certainly did not offer. I had to ask for a refund. And you made it clear you did not want to do that. Eventually you agreed to half, and then didn't respond for days again - and then said less than half. Your customer service was beyond bad, and unfortunately so was the cake. I always look for ways to promote local places my wife and I like, so when it came time to think about doing party favors for my son's 1st birthday with about 50 families, we came to Pretty Sweet and see our options. When we talked to the cashier (owner's daughter?), she quickly went to the back and introduced us to Mussarat. We told her about the party favor idea and how we love her pear jam and whether she would be able to do a smaller size of our favorite jam at a more favor appropriate pricing. 5 minutes later we had a verbal deal! Mussarat and I communicated through text as she searched for a smaller sized canning bottle for the project. She even custom printed on gold stickers to showcase "Pretty Sweet" in black writing on top of the gold cap! She even had the jams ready 2 days before the pick up time!
