We saw the commercial on television and thought it would be great to try and get the scan for my husband and I. So I called and they were so nice the receptionist was very sweet and I asked her if there was anything else I need to know before or after the scan I especially was curious to see if they were going to Precious to make a purchase or anything and she said no. So we made her appointment and went and had a scan done the gentleman was so nice. Once the scan was done this other guy who worked in the office said he would like us to come and talk to him for a second and this is when the high pressure sales begin this man was pushing us to pay $1800 Per person for a scan that he said was necessary for us. We told him that we were not interested thank you and that we would just like to have the results of the scan but he started to get Really mad and started screaming at us I was in shock. He was mad because we didn't want to pay for the extra scan he would not take no for an answer so we started to walk out and he started following us out of the building and screaming at us and then yelled at us read more

After seeing the offer on Facebook I was skeptical about the service but I signed up for it. After receiving a phone call I made my appointment and they asked for payment, I explained to them I didn't feel comfortable paying for a service over the phone from a Facebook add. I told them I would pay on the day of my visit. Fast forward to today and my appointment, they cancelled my appointment and said it was due to non payment and that I couldn't pay the day of the appointment. Never have I had to pay for a medical visit before I even saw the physician. Complete nonsense. They wouldn't even accommodate me and get me in today, nor did they offer. I will stick to my regular physician for all my medical needs, I would suggest you do the same. read more

First, I don't get the comments regarding getting your money. This is a business, they have expensive equipment, staff to pay, they're not keeping the lights on by charging $125 for two heart scans (this is what my wife and I bought). They do ask that you sit through a presentation on their other products (upsell). Which is fine. It's a bit "timeshary" (in fact the guy who we worked with used to sell timeshares or something similar) but not that big of a deal. Might be a little uncomfortable for some. I'm in sales and it was no big deal. Some of the information shared during the presentation was interesting. Once you're through the presentation (ours was about 30-minutes I think) you sign a form and go back for your scan. The scan is pretty quick, maybe five minutes if that. Just as we were told our results arrived exactly one week after our scans. Nice professional presentation of our results. I suppose my only suggestion for Preventive Diagnostic Center would be don't get so bummed out when the client doesn't upgrade to the $4,000 package - 1) Going in we didn't know we were going to be presented with a $4,000 upgrade. Don't know about you but I typically take more than 5-minutes to decide if I'm going to spend $4,000. 2) It's sales; your closing rate is not going to be 100%. The guy was pretty bummed that we didn't upgrade and really turned cold and his attitude completely changed when I told him we were going to stick with what we came in for. Keep this in mind - things change. Maybe something happens and I want to go back and get the full scan. Don't leave me with a bad reaction to my saying no the first time. Also, a couple of times during the presentation they ask about referrals (recommending friends and family to them). Leave me with a great experience wanting to send you referrals. Just my .02. So they said they can't make an appointment until I pay the $250. This tells me their only concerned about money!!! They want your money up front so when you get there and have to sit through an hour of high pressure sales tactics you can't leave cause they already have your money. These scans are life saving but your doctor can order them and your insurance will pay for them if they're warranted. Be prepared to sit thru a presentation with half truths and a hard sell that you need all of these scans. Its like sitting thru a time share presentation. Also when you say no be prepared for them to completely lose all interest in you as a client and rush you back for your promotional heart scan and then get you out the door asap. I had a great experience with the Preventative Diagnostic Center in 2019. I told them upfront that I was only interested in the Heart and Lung scan but I was still interested in listening to the other options. No high-pressure sales at all. I got the results back in a timely manner. I called and asked some questions and they were very informative. I will be making another appointment for my husband and I because I am a firm believer that preventative medicine is the best. read more

Good old bait and switch scam. I Scheduled an appointment and was told to bring my wife with me. I was told to pay the 125.00 dollar fee in advance over the phone for a heart scan with calcium score. Upon arrival it was like any other doctors office until, we were greeted by an older women who escorted us to the back of the office and pointed to photo copies of medical degrees on the wall. We asked her what we were doing. She proceeded to tell us that we need to spend an hour with her for a consult to look at slides. When we advised we were not interested in a 60 min sales pitch she quickly walked us up front handed me the brochure with the pricing of 599.00 per person for the same test. The woman than walked off.. This business lures you with this 125 dollar deal on tv and does not follow through.. Shady business practice. read more

I highly recommend the heart scan. I have high cholesterol and my doctor wanted to rule out heart disease. I went through all the testing with an ultrasound of my artery on my neck, ultrasound on my heart, EKG, particle test on size of cholesterol and a stress test . All test were excellent. The last thing to do was a calcium scan and that came back as zero. Doctors don't understand that high cholesterol is not a bad thing when doing a ketogenic diet. I have big fluffy cholesterol, high HDL, low triglycerides. Say no to statins if it's not necessary. read more

This was an interesting morning here. The facility is clean, staff friendly and helpful, and I will receive the results in about 2 weeks of my heart and lung scan. It was a real value at $129 and an even better value if you can take advantage of Groupon. I realize it is of utmost importance to take charge of your health, and I find this new technology to be quite helpful. However, the "consultation" takes anywhere from a half hour to an hour. It seems to me more like "physiology class 101" and a genteel way of upselling to the full body scan for $2999 but will do a two for one for couples. Also, statistics are thrown at you to impress the importance of early detection. Nice to know, but many of us realize early detection of a serious illness is the key. I felt the consult could have been cut to 10 minutes--the video of the doctor was unnecessary (self promoting??), and too much repetition of the two doctors' qualifications. Brief and concise information would have been appreciated. Overall, this concept is worth-while as the scanner they use, according to them repeated several times, is the lastest and greatest---only 3 in the nation. Let's see what the scan discovers. Hopefully, nothing!!! By the way, the actual scan is probably less than 3 minutes, yet they keep you there for close to an hour. Do the scan first, and then consult for 10-15 minutes. This is a must do service as it gives you peace of mind and spirit with knowing what is going on with your health. While it does not replace your doctor it is very complete and I enjoyed the total experience and will make this part of my yearly health routine. Staff is very knowledgeable and walks you through the process making you feel at ease and they offer a variety of options and plans explaining everything in detail. The full body scan was comfortable and fast. The staff is knowledgeable and caring. Having this scan is so important to finding a health issue early. My Sister's lung cancer and my Mother's breast cancer were not detected until Stage 4. If only we would have had this type of scan available sooner. I highly recommend this scan. Not having to have a Doctor's referral and not having to go through Insurance is a big plus. You can have control over your own health. read more

Wow! This place is a straight up scam!! BEWARE! I endured the same "time-share"-like presentation that all these other reviews are describing. Two hours into it, I finally stopped the woman who had trapped us in her tiny, hot, awkward office and explained that none of what she was talking about was what we expected; We just wanted the couples heart scan as advertised. I was as polite as possible and thanked her for her efforts but no, we don't want to finance $3000 with 17% interest on body scans once a year for 5 years!! Like what?? When we weren't buying it, she got pissed and then tried to rush us through paperwork, one paper was a total release and liability waiver. It was worded as, for any and all adverse affects, the clinic is not in any way held responsible or obligated. Maybe it would have been fine and I may have been paranoid but I had recently had a heart attack and had a stent so I was uncomfortable and now didn't trust these people! So I asked for a refund. This sent her over the edge! Lol! She basically threw up her hands and stormed out. We got our money back from the receptionist and escaped! My thoughts; If you go through with it, and something is found, you have to go to your doctor anyway who will want to perform their own scans anyway! Talk to your doctor and request a scan. I signed up for a heart scan at the Las Vegas location through Group On, but it's a hard sell bait and switch, plain and simple. They insist that your spouse accompanies you and then they lay on the pressure as hard as any time share. Maybe it's different if you pay the regular rate, but this is so uncomfortable. Like others, I had the feeling I was at a timeshare presentation. I became suspicious when upon my arrival I was given a tour of the facility. Then came a 20 minutes lecture incl. slide show, mostly based on creating fear. To be fair, I have to say that there was never an unpleasant pressure, and everybody was very friendly. Like many businesses they give you their "regular" price (which is outrageous) and then try to get you with a "special". Old sales tactic: mark them up to mark them down. So is the upgrade to a full body scan worth it? The bottom line is this is a question everybody has to answer for themselves. If the scan detects a live threatening problem, obviously it is. I still think the "special" they offered was too high, but it is a business that has to pay their staff, rent, etc. I get it. - One thing I would have wished for is that their doctor had given me a call afterwards to explain the report. The people that work in this place are incredibly unprofessional and racially profile their patients. I went with my family bc we purchased a groupon for a CT scan. We are a Latino family, and my parents speak & understand English fluently. They must have heard us speaking Spanish while in the waiting room because when we were called up the tech asked if they would need a translator because due to Covid 19, only 4 people could be in a room at once. We said no, they are fluent English speakers as well & could go alone. The tech continued to ask us again if we're sure & insisted for a translator because they would be covering medical terms and speaking about organs in the body. Mind you while he was pushing a translator onto my parents, he would not actually speak directly to my parents, just past them and only to my sister & I. After the repeated insistence, we called them out on their racism and profiling. The tech quickly got snippy & with an attitude said they would no longer be seeing our parents that day. Then he had the audacity to threatened to call the cops on us for "trespassing" although we had valid appointments that (up to that point) were not cancelled. I do not recommend this place at all. The front desk receptionist also spoke Spanish & we were disappointed that instead of questioning the techs aggressiveness with us, she was quick to pick up the phone & act like she was going to call the cops when the guy raised his voice and accused us of trespassing. read more
