Ok I've been here a few times now and feel like a review is well deserved / needed. Every time I've come I order the crudo which is amazing but I'm always left a bit disappointed about the price and portion. Don't get me wrong it's delicious I just think for $18 you should be getting a bit more on the plate. We have also ordered the bao bun sliders which are all great (they offer 3 varieties). My only issue here is the birria bao you have to pay an extra $4 for consommé. I've never had birria anywhere else where the consommé is an extra charge. Needless to say we forgo ordering it every time and it's kind of a bummer. Highlights though, the staff are all super friendly and attentive. We usually get seated right away. Their drinks and beers are all on point. Ambiance is great, it's a fun place to hang out with good music. They do have a late night menu that we got to order from last night, although we were both full we got some drinks and I have to say I'll be back just to try some of those food items off the late night menu. Take away I think they need to work out their prices and portions a bit still but it's understandable as it's a new spot. We will be back soon! read more

I've been to this restaurant and brewery three times now yesterday being probably the last time I'll ever go there. The food is amazing but the service yesterday was horrible and there were only three people in the restaurant besides me and my husband. If you feel like waiting over ten minutes to be served this is the place to go. We waited ten minutes to be seated on a Sunday at 3 pm. Then once we were finally seated waited another ten minutes. Two other tables who walked in after us were greeted and got orders in. No one came over to our table so I went up to a server and still received no service after. I would knock them down a star because there was a large party so we didn't ever meet our server...we had to flag someone down to take our order after about 15 minutes of waiting. Jesse became our server and was amazing! He was super attentive and took great care of our group. I had the cantarito and it was really good, friends had the carajllo and that was AMAZING! Best cocktails in North County? Not to mention the smash burger, at $13 with fries, is not only a hot deal but also friggin' delicious. Crispy and meaty double patty + American cheese. There are a couple of highlights on the menu that we absolutely went crazy over one of them was the wild mushroom taco and the birria oxtail burger Was one of the best things we ever ate The craft cocktail list is amazing ultra creative and I had a few drinks that I've never had before in my life and will always order when dining there. I'm so torn on this place. The food tastes amazing...but the price is just too much for the portion. The service is honestly horrible. Everyone who has ever helped me here was super super nice but it seems like no bartender is assigned to your table so no one comes and checks on you to order because there's no system telling them who's table it is. Ambience is great, drinks are amazing, and the happy hour is SO good. It's crazy how cheap the happy hour prices are for how expensive the normal food is. I had mixed feelings about our experience, especially after such great reviews. Nice industrial ambiance. The service was fabulous!! Very attentive. We started with shrimp ceviche, I have never had ceviche with a creamy sauce, the blue chips were a bit stale. I got birria and fish tacos. My friend got a birria burger. The fish taco was good, but the birria taco was very greasy. Next time I would get the street tacos. His burger was good. I suggest asking for the fries to be well done, they needed more on the outside. We each got a margarita. $80+ for the meal. Not sure if we will go back, but try for yourself. read more

The double IPA was good. I had the Kale Caesar which was delicious but pricey. The waitress was very attentive through out but when she gave me my bill it was the total amount included the tax. I asked her what the food amount was and she replied "ARE YOU NOT FROM CALIFORNIA?" She then had to back track into her device to show me the itemized bill which included the total for the meal and the tax added. So folks, I was wearing black VANS tank dress with ugly comfy purple CROCKS and white socks! IS THAT WHY I LOOKED LIKE I WAS FROM OUT OF STATE? We were in the area to watch a movie with plans for dinner somewhere near. Prey Brewing stood out so we decided to eat there. As we approached we noticed the front open patio with fire pits. Nice, we thought. The young lady at the counter was very friendly and offered great service telling her we were in for a quick bite before the movie. The wait wasn't too long and we ordered fries, tacos aand beers for a quick turn around from out friendly waitress. The beers came first of course. Beers were delicious. Unfortunately the food was a different story. The truffle fries had no salt flavor what so ever. I ordered the birria taco and fish taco. My wife ordered the mushroom taco. The birria taco with cheese was abysmal. The birria, the little that it had tasted like mole, much too bland and pressed flat. The fish taco was more plentiful but I've had much better fish tacos at our corner taco stand. No flavor from the batter nor fish and very, very skimpy with fixings. A $7 taco, not worth it. My wife's mushroom taco was also an epic failure. A few grilled chopped mushrooms thrown into a corn tortilla with nothing more. The table service was terrible as they only brought two tacos at first until we questioned the remaing order. We will definitely not going back for the food. Maybe for some drinks at the bar but I'd rather spend my dollars for a complete experience. read more

I really couldn't say enough good things about this place. The smash burger was by far my favorite with the truffle fries! We also tried the Birria oxtail fries as an appetizer and they were DELICIOUS!!! they have a great cocktail selection which I think makes them stand out from most breweries and there house beer is very refreshing. Server is always outstanding when I go over there from the hosts to the people running my food. Also, dessert, the churro bread pudding was by far my favorite part of the meal.
