This just may become my new go-to place for Italian food. I came here for the first time the other night and I already can't wait to go back. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Fontina and it was absolutely delicious. The portion size was decent too so I ended up being able to take some home and have it for lunch the next day which is always a plus. My drink was also very good albeit a little strong (that's okay though... I definitely got my money's worth!) Our waitress was good and only checked in on us a handful of times, which I personally prefer over having her come over every 3 minutes. I have been dining here for years and have never been disappointed. Lunch, dinner, party of two or large family gathering, we have always left full and happy. Last night my husband and I went for another fantastic dinning experience. The service was prompt and friendly, ambiance was cozy, and the food was delicious. We started with the risotto balls, a must try. They are large and the presentation is beautiful. I had the Crispy Chicken Fontina, very flavorful with lemon and garlic and and a very creamy sauce. My husband had the Chicken Parmesan, it had the perfect ratio of chicken and breading, the linguini and marinara were just like his mom made. The portions were huge so when our waiter came by with the dessert tray we couldn't eat another bite. Of course the desserts looked so delicious we got two to go. Ordered 4 meals via Door Dash for delivery. The driver showed up with 2. I called the restaurant and they acknowledged it was their fault and that they would immediately start the new meals, but I still needed to call DD customer service to have them come out again. I called DD to go out again and when they showed up at my house they only had one meal. When I called the restaurant, instead of taking responsibility, they blamed DD even though they previously admitted it was their mistake. The manager was rude on the phone. This was my second time having a poor experience here. The first was in person at the restaurant. I won't be going back. I would rather make a grocery store pizza at home!! read more

I've been here many times. Always thought it was too expensive but.... The staff is friendly enough. Tonight really pissed me off. I stopped to get some takeout. I ordered children's fish and chips for my daughter, a burger with lettuce, tomato, bacon, cheese & no onion for myself. I hate when orders are not written down. I had a couple drinks while I waited for the food. The whisky pour was light but that's almost to be expected. Anyway, the food came and I drove home. As I'm driving, a pungent odor hit me like a ton of bricks. Son of a.... As I sipped my whisky, I had the thought of double checking with them. NO ONIONS. But didn't pull the trigger. At a red light I checked and sure enough, a load of raw onions on my burger. When I got home my daughter asked, what did you eat? It was the horrible smell of raw onions stinking up my house, not to mention my car. I almost expect this type of screw up from a fast food joint but not when paying $50 at a supposedly up scale restaurant. That's my rant! read more

I love the flavor of the Seafood Bisque Risotto but there's always just a tiny amount of lobster, scallops & shrimp which is disappointing. I've had it 3-4 times figuring it was just an oversight but it was the same each time. Haven't been back in awhile. read more

The service is great; the hostess and staff at the front are kind and accommodating with party size. The servers are knowledgeable about dishes and they always have a great recommendation. Some entrees are staples (chicken parm) and others change with the season. I have never been disappointed. Scallops with brussel sprout hash tonight was outstanding. Looking for a place for lunch driving down I-495 and were lucky enough to stumble upon Prezo not far off the exit. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and quantity of the food, and at a very reasonable price. My wife and I split a Kale salad, and even a half portion was more than either of us could eat. We both chose pasta dishes and both enjoyed them very much. I had the Fire & Ice - delicious - it was so good I had to eat all of the pasta, which I rarely do. And I would be remiss if I didn't mention the excellent service provider by our waiter, Johnnie. An attentive young gentleman that made sure we always had everything we needed. Looking forward to a time we'll be driving through Milford in the future that will hopefully be at either lunch or dinner time! read more

We have been loyal customers of Prezo for years and are always very generous with our tips, typically more than 20%. Yesterday we ate at your restaurant and the music in the tent was so loud it was hard to hear ourselves talking. The hostess offered to move us to another table, which would not have made a difference, (the speaker on the right of us or the left of us) so we stayed put. She told us that when the crowd left, there was a large gathering in the tent, that there are sensors in the speakers and the volume would lower by them selves. 10 minutes after the crowd left, the volume was still full blast. Clearly the "sensors" in the speakers were not working. We asked a waitress in the tent 3 times if she could lower it, and every time she completely ignored us. There was only one other table occupied at the time. (Maybe she couldn't hear because the music was so loud). Finally on our 4th attempt to speak to her she said, very rudely, "sorry, there's nothing she can do about it, she's not allowed to touch the volume". I went in to speak to the same hostess that sat us and told her that her the tent is empty and the music is still full blast and that we tried to speak to the waitress outside and that she was very rude and quite frankly, behaved like a "b--ch", I was not happy with her behavior and apologized. She then manually lowered the volume. We had 4 different servers help us, we didn't actually have a waitress until the end when someone came over and asked how everything was and brought us the bill. We were very unsatisfied with the service and wrote a message on the bill stating this. We did not leave a tip. I was under the impression that a tip is for good service, not to be ignored and treated so rudely. I do want to add, that since you have re-opened, we have been more than generous leaving very nice tips, between 25% to 30%, including the sales tax. Today, the next day, we went to have lunch and the same hosted went on to lecture us on our bad behavior for not leaving a tip. The same hostess that told us the music would lower the volume by itself. And then told us to go elsewhere. She was disrespectful and did not want to even hear what we had to say. Again, most of your waitstaff recognize us, and will tell you that we typically give between 25-30% tip right now, due to Covid, and yesterday, we felt that there was no good reason to leave a tip, the service was just not good, which, after all, isn't that what the tip is supposed to be for? We like your restaurant but will not go there to eat. It is not appreciated to be not appreciated, and giving the size of our tips every time we go, the one time that we were unsatisfied with the service and did not leave a tip, to be treated so disrespectfully seems very unfair. read more

I've been going to Prezo since I moved to Milford area about 7 years ago. It's changed alot since I first started going. They've always had a great beer selection and Sushi bar and still do. However, in the past 2-3 years there have been multiple menu changes and each time the prices have been going up a buck or 2 and food quality is going down. Each time I've been there with my wife in the past 2-3 years, the first quote as we walk out is "Now I remember why we don't go there alot anymore". I'm sure we'll go back a couple months from now when we tired of the other local resteraunts and say the same thing. Last night we grabbed dinner there. Calimari was good but my wife was sick all night/day. I was craving pizza and it's been OK in the past so we got the Tuscany and chicken pesto. Both tasted like dish soap and didn't look appetizing. I didn't think you could put too much cheese, but they did. I don't even want to eat the leftovers and i hate wasting food. I've never remember having poor service there either until last night. Took 15 minutes to get check and sign bill. Not to mention, I sent back the IPA I ordered that i'm pretty sure was flat Coors light. Again we walked out say "Now I remember why we don't eat here anymore". Bottom line is the place is way overpriced now and the food is terrible. They have a TON of stuff on the menu but most of it is inedible. There is absolutely no pride or care in the dishes. All about getting the food out the door. I give the service a pass for the one bad experience. I'm always suprised when i see the parking lot full. In my experience, 45 Restaurant up the street is much better. If you do get stuck going there, stick to bottled beer and Sushi. read more

Agree with one of the other reviews that Prezo is either a staple in the eating out rotation or a once is enough place. It's been a couple years since we've dined here (which we weren't too impressed with) but recently wanted to give it another try. The food was 50/50...my burger was delicious but our shrimp appetizer was nothing more than grilled shrimp in mayo and my husband's scallop carbonara was pure sauce. Service was ok as well...server was very pleasant but service itself took a long time. Doubt I'll be able to convince my hubby to go back a third time, although not sure I'd want to either. read more

They changed chefs people... That's why their food went from 4 stars to 2 :( Got the chicken broccoli and ziti - super salty and the chicken was cooked to death. It was also missing the usual medley of garlic and red pepper flakes that impart a ton of flavor. We also ordered the pretzel chicken app that smelled very strongly of fish. Come to find out they only have one fryer now and change the oil out once a day, so everything co-mingles. That must be a health code violation too? It's sad to see a staple like Prezzo take such a nosedive. The service was good, so that at least earned back one star. read more

Last night I hosted a business celebration at Prezo (party of 6). It was our first time there. They had exactly the kind of table I asked for -- in a corner so that we could really talk. The waiter had good timing, allowing us to chat and laugh. I have a very complicated and limited diet. Didn't want to make a big deal about it in front of colleagues. The waiter was outstanding on this - he understood what I was looking for immediately. My meal was perfect! They had to make something special, and it turned out great. Grilled salmon and shrimp, sauce in the side. Steamed spinach. No oil or butter. Since starting this medically necessitated diet two years ago I've had really mixed results at restaurants: some get it, others don't. Prezo is at the top of my list of places that accommodate. read more

I do agree with certain other reviewers that Prezo has a bit of an identity crisis: it wasn't long ago that sushi shared menu space with pizza, burgers, and Italian seafood stew. Focus has improved recently, but I'm not sure this spot will ever be more than a good local joint in too-fancy clothes. (And that fanciness itself lacks focus, as evinced by, say, the engraved wine glasses, wall art, bourgeois accessories.) What's weird is that the Prezo powers-that-be don't seem content with being a 'good local joint'! The pizzas are great (although, once again, there are issues with 'fancier' specialty pies), the caesar salad is always fresh and perfectly dressed, the beer and wine selection good (if lacking--you guessed it--curation). Service is hit-or-miss, and generally best at the bar. I'd love to walk in Prezo one day and see a 15-item Italian menu done TO DEATH. Why not embrace what you do best? I suppose that's the owner's business; in any event, stick with the basics here and you'll be satisfied. read more

We arrived to find a very busy parking lot on a Friday night. We did find a space but they also have valet so it was not a big deal. We had a reservation and went inside and were seated in about 3 minutes. The service was very good and we started off with an appetizer of calamari was superb and the wine selection was excellent. Recently they announced via email that their lunch buffet has been expanded to Fridays, running until 1:45pm Visited there today with my father and we entered the restaurant at 1:20. Were seated in the dining and when we walked to the buffet tables found most of the serving tray empty. Asked the server if they would be refilling the trays, as it was not yet 1:45. Was told they would "likely not be refilling them". As we have been to the restaurant many times and wanting not to repeat this experience, I spoke with the manager and asked him what time the buffet stops being refilled, so we do not have this problem again. He replied with a cocky smirk on his face "it depends on how we are doing that day..." So the posting and advertising says the buffet is served until 1:45pm but they stop bringing food out at random times of their own choosing based on how "they are doing that day". Makes planning a meal there problematic if they do not follow their own posted schedules. Revisited their website and found another example of their lack of customer focus or concern; There is no link to write them directly with comments or feedback. Disappointed in their attitude mainly, and the lack of customer focus. If they are not going to fill the buffet after 1:15 then they should not advertise the time as 1:45 or seat customers for the buffet after 1:15. And the manager needs to loose the attitude. read more

To quote my grandmother: "This place is lovely." I've been a few times and figured I should give them a shout out. My most recent visit was with my aunt and grandmother for the latter's birthday. I attested to the caliber of this establishment, and assured my grandmother that we would be able to order a rare burger and actually receive a rare burger. This is more difficult to find than one might think. And we were successful! Both of ours came rare as can be, mine a delicious bison burger. The onion ring appetizer was perfectly crispy, not soggy or too thin. And my Tom Collins was perfect. Living in Milford allows you many different dining options, but this place remains one of my favorites. There are multiple rooms for you to choose from each with their own quaint ambiance and ability to be rented out/reserved. The bar is small but cozy and the service is generally excellent. The decor is modern and the place can feel both casual and elegant all at the same time. Everything on the menu is exceptional. The range of choices will require you to finish two drinks before coming to a decision. One of my favorite things to get here is the seafood risotto. Risotto is not something you can get everywhere and it's a pain in the butt to make yourself. For that reason alone you should try this dish, but add in lobster, shrimp and scallops and it becomes to die for. (That has to be the most over-used food adjective in the world, forgive me), but it is really good. Again, everything is and for that reason I tend to come the most Tues-Friday at lunch time. They have an "All You Can Eat" italian buffet for $10 that will rival all other value meals being offered elsewhere. Every selection is its own entree that you'd be happy getting by itself. Add bread, salads and desserts and this buffet is unbeatable. Plus it's not chinese. Take my word for it you can't go wrong with Prezo no matter what your stomach is calling for. read more

It's simply too phuchen noisy. They should put some serious money into some degree of sound proofing; and with a bawling kid in the midst it's cutting and quite upsetting. Quite a conundrum. On the plus side...when they're busy it's noisy. On the minus side if it's relatively quite, they're not making the noisy profits of what constitutes a good business day. And folks will wait for a table on the weekends. The last time I was there was for their lunch buffet. It was nothing special. Maybe been left overs from a wedding. OUCH! The menu food is 3-4 stars, lighting was a tad darker than I'd like but the waitress was cute, knowledgable about the menu and efficient. She's probably a grandmother now. Good restaurant. Overall the food was very filling and quite tasteful. Pricing is reasonable for the portions you get. Loved the atmosphere, pretty causal dressed. I went for lunch so attire was very casual, if you're going for dinner I'd dress up more(no prom attire just cute). Only disappointing factor was our waitress gave me and my family plates for bread but never received the bread.. you can imagine my disappointment.
