I come from a very strong mechanical background. My father was a mechanic for all of his adult life. Until he passed away I never had to take my car to any repair shop. When he passed away I did go to three different independent repair shops with three different problems. I was extremeley dissapointed. I purchased my vehicle from Patchett's Ford so I decided to try them. I have never been dissapointed. They are upfront with me, they do not try to sell me a repair I do not need, never have they made me feel unwelcomed. Everyone that I dealt with in person was completely polite but when it came to calling in to the dealership to see if my car was ready because they said it would be ready by 3:30pm and it was now 4:30pm, the guy was so rude. Hung up on me twice, I just wanted to know if my car was done. After I called back and found out it was ready he hung up on me before I could ask if the shuttle could come pick me up so I could pay and get my car. So I had to call again. Makes me question the professionalism. This was 6/5/12 @4:01pm and again at 4:05pm that I was hung up on. And I got a really sarcastic "YOuurrrr Welllcome" when I said thank you. This review is long overdue but well deserved. I bought a Ford Explorer about one year ago and have been meaning to write this since. Believe it or not, I live about 300 miles from this dealership. The car trim, color and extras I was looking for was not available at the time at any dealership in California so I decided to order the car. After contacting many (and I mean many) dealerships I was really surprised that only two gave me straight answers with respect to what I was looking for and a reasonable price quote. I was looking for a new car to use on my commute, my ex police car had finally kicked the bucket at 300,000 mi and I had decided on a 2013 or newer ford taurus. I looked on Auto trader and searched dealer websites directly for a several months when I stumbled upon Price Ford of Turlock. They had the car I was looking for in the right color combination, right options and a fair price. I contacted them via email, and immediatly got a responce from Josh following up with me. We negotiated to a price I was happy with and arranged for me to come down the next day to drive and hopefully pirchase the car. I took Amtrak down from Sacramento and Josh was waiting for me at the station with the car. We test drove it, and returned to the dealership. Josh explained the extended warrenty and service contact options, where they typically try to upsell, and he did it in a pressure free way. Normally I dont buy into any of the upsold items, however I did decide on the LoJack system mainly because I liked that he didnt try and force me into it, instead he just explained the program and allowed to decide in my own. Overall I felt like Josh and Price Ford valued my opinion and understood that not everybody wants a huge car payment or loan. They were very upfront and transparrent with their costs wich made me feel like I didnt have to haggle, rather just explained my budget and they were very recptive of my wants and needs in a new vehicle. I am a ford diesel master tech with almost 10 years of experience. I no longer work for ford, but much of my family still drives ford's. I sent my sister there for a A/C concern for which she had a aftermarket warranty which covered the A/C system. A day after my sister takes in her car they call her and tell her that her warranty will not cover it and it's gonna cost her $1100. So I called the warranty company myself and ask why it was not covered. They told me they had no record or any claim being filed or denied. So I called the dealer and ask to speak with the manager. I informed him of the situation and he said he would look into it and call me back as soon as possible. I called him twice that day and he had not done anything. I called the next day, still nothing. At the end of the day he finally called my sister back saying a portion of the repair was covered. But the rest was not. It was still gonna cost her $700. He did not explain why a portion was not covered. Or what it was that wasn't covered. So, my sis called me, I called him and he explained it. No big deal. Now I worked in a ford dealer for 5+ years. I asked him, why was it that this was not handled correctly in the 1st place, either is staff is poorly trained or they are just plain lazy. He insisted it was just a misunderstanding but he did nor said anything to apologize for the days of inconvenience and frustration nor the incompetence of his staff. Now like I said, I worked for a ford dealer for 5+ years, I myself am a master diesel tech. I no how a dealer works and how things should be dealt with and this dealer fell WAY below par with what should be expected. Most of the ford dealers in the valley are sub-par unfortunately. I would recommend Big Valley Ford in Stockton. It's a bit of a drive. But you will be treated with respect and your vehicle will be worked on by a competent and professional staff. I just purchased my 2016 Ford Mustang GT last week. Great sales team, friendly staff, clean facility. They are very friendly, they offer you a bottle of water as soon as you walk in. We test drove the car, went over all of the features on the car, but I still felt like I wanted to think about the purchase. I was offered to take the car home for the night to give it a feel. I think that's what did it for me, being able to take it out for a cruise really sealed the deal. Well, after being told to give you guys another chance, that you would prove to me that you guys are better than that, you still showed me how short and rude you are to customers. I came through again, my first interaction today was, a sales guy walk past me real fast saying someone from the sales floor would be out to help me in a sec. Well, time goes by, never happened! I go into the showroom to see a sales guy just staring out the window, easily saw me coming in, since I went up the stairs and in the door next to the black mustang. I inquire about a brochure on the mustang (not knowing that they don't do those anymore) get told like I'm an idiot, that Ford hasn't done brochures in 4 years. Like I know that! Then the salesman made ZERO EFFORT in asking me what I'm looking for, what my budget is, nothing. At this point I can confirm, again this place judges the heck out of everyone, and even though I'm looking to purchase through X plan, and looking to do so soon, that this place is an udder waste of time. This place is a joke! I bought my car last year in October 2014. I felt like I got a good deal for my car and paid cash for it. The main reason why I bought it was because Patchetts had their lifetime oil changes when you buy their vehicles. BUT now that they changed names and owners to Price Ford, they WILL NOT honor the lifetime oil changes. That is pretty shady if you ask me and you WILL NOT be seeing me over there ever again. Bought a certified pre-owned 2015 F150 XLT for a fair price and was treated well. I worked with Juan and his sales manager (Joel) over the phone to negotiate a price since I live in the Bay Area. They performed the CPO inspection and found a few items that needed to be replaced/repaired. The sale, purchase process, and communication were fluid and transparent. I appreciate them offering extended warranties but not trying to push them. I highly recommend this dealership and will refer family and friends if they are looking for a Ford. read more

Well what can I say but I will never take any vehicle to be serviced there again. The customer service was terrible. I had my vehicle served twice there. The first time I had several issues with the work done on my vehicle and everyone was rude. The second time I really didn't want to take my vehicle there but they were the closest. My mistake. I recently figured I would give them another chance seeing it had been some time since I had a vehicle serviced there. I couldn't even get past the phone call to set an appointment up. The customer service rep was extremely rude. I emailed management to tell them of my concerns. Never heard back from anyone. I now take my vehicle to Razzari Ford in Merced. I loved the service as the people that work there are the same as when I purchased car. VERY UPSET however, that my oil change plan is NOT being honored in it's entirety due to change in ownership. It is still a Ford and one of the reasons I purchased a 2nd vehicle from this location in same year. This will make me reconsider where and what brand of vehicle when it comes time to make another purchase or recommend a place to family and friends. Very short sighted on new ownerships part to absorb those contracts as they were written to build loyalty to the new dealership brand with existing customers, especially when their will be other service needs for vehicle(s) that you will earn business from. I'm from Clovis Ca and on a trip outa town, our check engine light came on and we had to pull over. We took our car to Price Ford and at first were having a horrible experience. Albert I'm service center, said they didn't have a transmission person and all rental places are closed and acted like he couldn't help. On top of stress of the car problem, we didn't appreciate his lack of customer arrived or just human kindness. We stepped outside to figure out what we were gona do. Anthony D. In service center came out and rescued us. He found out why we were there and went in and spoke to a dispatch person on how they could help us, dispatcher was a Mike W. and they together saved our day/trip. Mike found a rental place and personally gave us a ride to Modesto enterprise, the closest location that was closing in 20minutes. We got there 5 minutes after they closed but were able to get a car and weren't stranded and out of more money other than what the car would cost. I called and informed Mark the service manager of the whole situation. I also spoke to a Curtis on the phone about my car situation and he helped out a lot. Both Curtis and Mark were awesome and I appreciated their compassion and professionalism on getting the job done. I am thankful our car broke down by a business with awesome people who were a blessing to our lives. As far as Albert goes, he could use some tips from his coworkers on how to treat customers. Drove an hour to look at a SUV, asked alot of questions about it height, no, its stock, can I get a report, no print out, just showed me 1 on a computer, within 10 hours of owning in service lights come on (wth) took it in all, all the air bag sensors had to be cleaned/ checked said it would be 2 hours, ended up being 6 hours (as I waited) always had an excuse, Then driving it for a month starts making clunking noices in the rearend. So I take it to the dealer in my town, and of cource (like I asked in the first place) the car has been lowered a bit, and for me to put to stock it would be $1800.00, overall all bad, I felt they don't care adout the customer just the $$$$$.I work in an industry wear I see/ talk to 100+ people a day, I try to get the word out, in this day n age where there are a million people/businesses try to fight for your business, it should be all about the customer, what you wont do, someone else will!!! read more

Patchetts shows you a great price up front (under invoice in my case and I believe in most); adds no ridiculous fees; and says no when the deal doesn't work rather than endlessly negotiate. They do add LoJack to every car, which I understand given the area's theft issues, but removed it when I asked. Any negotiation is done directly with the salesman, not with repeated trips to the sales manager. I was in and out in less than two hours. I took my ranger in to have the AC fixed. They fixed the problem which was not cheap. They also sold me a battery. I felt kind of pressured into buying the battery, but I've learned from being burned by other other mechanics in town that you are kind of at their mercy. I dropped the truck off and they gave me a ride back home and they said that they would call me. The old guy that gave me the ride was very odd. He started a conversation with me by asking me if I had heard about the murders that had taken place in my neighborhood.
