My aunt and uncle are both from Pittsburgh, so of course when I saw Primanti Bros I had to stop in! They have some really unique and delicious sandwiches and I was thrilled with the prices. $10 for their famous Reuben feels like a steal! The sandwich was stuffed full and even without sides I had plenty of food! The restaurant was pretty quiet but is laid back and you could definitely bring the whole family. Wednesday, August 12- lunch I rarely, if ever, write negative reviews, and I would have much preferred to handle this situation privately with a manager. Unfortunately, because I was not given the opportunity to do so, I feel I have no alternative but to share our experience. We decided to give Primanti Bros. in Hershey a try for lunch today, but unfortunately, we never even made it to ordering. From the moment we walked in, the young blonde hostess was unwelcoming and incredibly short with us. There was no greeting. She asked if we needed children's menus, and when I said we needed two, her response was simply that she only had one. There was no offer to get another one or even a friendly acknowledgment. We asked to sit outside, and she took us to a table in the direct sun, put the menus down, and walked away without saying anything. We asked if we could sit at another table that was outside but shaded. We were told no because it hadn't been wiped off yet and was dirty. Rather than offering to have it cleaned, she pointed us toward another table and walked away. Throughout the interaction, she was short, rolled her eyes, and made us feel like we were an inconvenience rather than guests. At that point, we decided to leave. What was even more disappointing was what happened when I called immediately afterward. I specifically asked to speak with a manager because I wanted to give management the opportunity to address the situation directly rather than post a negative review. The same hostess apparently answered the phone and refused to put me through to a manager unless I first told her what the call was about. When I said I preferred to discuss the matter directly with the manager, she asked, "Are you the one who just walked out of here that I was trying to seat?" She told me the manager, April, would not be available for at least an hour, but continued to insist that I could not speak with her unless I first explained the situation to the hostess. We are local and had decided to give Primanti Bros. a try, but after this experience, we won't be returning. We ended up going across the street to The Grill instead, which was wonderful. What is most frustrating is that this entire situation could have been handled with a little kindness and basic customer service. And even after the poor experience, I was willing to address it privately and give management an opportunity to respond. Unfortunately, I wasn't given that opportunity. A hostess is often the first impression of a restaurant, and unfortunately, ours was bad enough that we chose to walk out before we ever ordered. I genuinely hope management sees this review and uses it as an opportunity to address how guests are welcomed and how concerns are handled. read more

I love this place ! Always gotta go with the original sandwich. It's so big it's all you really need to eat. Mine came out perfect and quickly. My wife ordered the turkey original style sandwich and although I didn't get to try it it must have been great because she actually finished it. First time at this Primanti's location. Surprisingly we were able to get seated immediately on a Wednesday around 7pm as a party of 13. Overall we received good service. When our food came out, my sister received the wrong order. She went back and forth with the waitress and the waitress huffed and walked away. It was interesting. Finally got to try a PB's, and this one is quite nice, located on Chocolate Ave in Hershey PA. My sandwich which was capicola and egg was absolutely delicious. The bread was very fresh and soft and the cappy, egg, and other ingredients in the sandwich all came together to create a delicious sandwich experience. Prices were extremely reasonable, and they had a great selection of craft beers, many of them local to the area and the state. Service was outstanding, and overall this was a great experience in casual dining, and I highly recommend it if you're in the area. It's just minutes away from Hershey Park, and most definitely worth the side trip. There's an Iron Hill Brewery next door as well. If you choose to dine here you won't be disappointed! read more

Pieces of salad were wilted and slimy, with black specks of the least fresh parts scattered around the main salad. My salad also came with fries, which were cold. My partner also had a meal that came with fries, which were also cold. I imagine this place is a vibe at night but we came pre-concert and it was just ok. I'm gonna start with the negative. It was probably one of the hottest days of the year so we wanted to eat indoors. Unfortunately, they started opening the garage doors so despite opting to eat indoors, we basically ate outdoors because, well, there went the air conditioning. There also went my comfort and I hate eating when I'm uncomfortable. By that time, we'd already ordered our wings & drinks. We got the Korean BBQ and Honey Buffalo Wings. The Honey Buffalo weren't sauced enough so we asked for extra. But my Korean BBQ were perfect! Nice crunch and nice flavor! I MUST say, their wings are FIRE!!! Absolutely delicious! I've been to many Primanti Bros locations, numerous times. Unfortunately, this was arguably the worst experience I've had. They're extremely understaffed here. Same people doing the check-in process AND waiting on the tables. Expect to wait no matter what time you come - both to be seated and for ordering. The meal was underwhelming, too. Tried the Rajun Cajun Chicken Original Sandwich and was barely seasoned. Would not get again. The rest of the group liked their choices, though. On Saturday night 6/22/2024 I chose this restaurant based on the positive reviews, but did not have a positive experience. We placed an online order after a day at Hershey Park for two cheese steaks, and 3 kids meals (a cheeseburger, 2 pizzas) which come with drinks. When I went in to pick up my order, I approached the front table to the left. The security staff were excellent, especially the gentleman with the beard. As I was walking out with my order, I realized I wasn't given the drinks for the kids meals. I returned to the security guard and asked about the kids drinks. The security guard asked a server (she had glasses and facial piercings) about the kids' drinks. She then approached me and said with a very negative attitude,"What do you want?" I replied, "I didn't receive the drinks for the kids meals." She abruptly said, "WE DON'T HAVE ICE TEA!" I calmly asked her why she was speaking to me with such an attitude. She replied "YOU WANT WATER? WHAT DO YOU WANT?" I again asked, "Why are you talking to me like that? Did I do something to you?" Despite my frustration, I maintained my composure and requested water. She walked away. I turned to the bearded security guard and asked if I had done or said something wrong to deserve such treatment. He, too, noticed the server's poor attitude. I then informed the security guard that I no longer wanted the water, as I didn't want any negative energy associated with it and left. I was also extremely disappointed in the cheesesteaks--it was more bread than meat and cheese, and what little meat there was seemed like scraps from the grill. I should have listened to my wife and gone to McDonald's. I will never be returning to this restaurant again. read more
