What went well: excellent service from our waiter Micah who gracefully answered our menu questions and handled our allergen requests. Portion sizes were lovely but not overwhelming and accurately priced. There is plenty of space between tables and the music is low, allowing for conversations without shouting or constantly overhearing your neighbors. What could have gone better: the restrooms are far away from the main dining area and a bit of a journey if you're using mobility aids. I will return and have recommended to others. read more

We arrived to celebrate my wife's birthday. Arriving early we went to the terrace to have a cocktail... service was prompt and polite. While there was no beer list they have many options providing a list would be a help. The menu above is more casual and varied but looked and smelled delicious we noted the meatballs and a few other items we'll be back to try. We were seated at table 15 a great table on the window... our server was both elegant and unobtrusive. He effortlessly explained the menu and showed us the available cuts. My wife ordered the Pork Rib eye and I went for the New York strip baked potato. We started sharing the crab cakes. The cakes were moist and super fresh devoid of fillers and simply fabulous. The mains arrived precisely prepared escorted by some garlicky fresh bread. The steak was really the best I have had in a very long time. And my wife's pork rib eye was perfectly cooked tender and moist. We couldn't decide who had one out over the other but eventually decided the steak won out. I enjoyed a drink today at the roof outside, rooftop bar today and ordered takeout to go. The bartender, as always, is friendly, efficient and as attentive as possible considering she is the sole person waiting on the bar for both food and drink. My drink was a simple tequila and soda with a couple of limes. Kudos for actually giving me 2 limes and not forgetting that part of the order. For lunch I ordered Nashville Chicken Tacos, a special consisting of spicy fried chicken on two flour tortillas with a delicious sauce and diced greens and cucumbers. Because they don't have taco stands for the takeout, they placed them in individual, small containers so they traveled well. Nice touch! The tacos were delicious and I hope to see them as a permanent offering on the menu. As nice as the experience was, I would be remiss if I didn't mention that requiring black long sleeves and long pants outdoors in Florida seems harsh on the staff. read more

My wife had the filet and shrimp. She also had carrots and a baked potato. She was slightly disappointed with the shrimp, but everything else was great. We finished it off with crème brûlée. We came here for our last dinner on our lifestyle visit tonight. My wife and I had steaks and my father in law had scallops. All was cooked to perfection. Drinks were also top notch. My grown son from out of town took me to Prime and Ember for Fathers Day yesterday because he asked me where the best steak in The Villages was. Regrettably, I told him Prime and Ember. I ordered a New York Strip and I will honestly say that I am almost 70 years old and I have NEVER had a worse steak. It was full of fat and gristle (cartilage) and had almost no flavor. The server was pleasant and knowledgeable but I did not let her know how awful the steak was because I did not want to embarrass my son, who spent a LOT of money just trying to treat me to an excellent meal. In addition, it came with only four small pieces of asparagus and a small bowl of cold garlic mashed potatoes. This was the second time I have been to Prime and Ember in Eastport in The Villages...the first experience was OK, but definitely not great, but I decided to give them another chance. There will be no third chance, and I strongly suggest you look for another place to eat other than this overpriced restaurant that serves very poor qualilty food in my opinion. By the way, I called the restaurant today to express my disappointment in the food, and the manager said there is nothing they can do the day after I ate there. While I understand I had an opportunity to complain and get another steak, I did not want to seem ungrateful or disappointed to my son, who was proud to be able to take his dear old Dad to a very nice place to eat for Fathers Day. Instead, the dining room has more of a banquet hall / hotel ballroom feel, which really takes away from the experience. I was seated comfortably at lunch wearing a T-shirt and a ball cap, which I appreciated, though it did stand out given that the hosts and servers were all dressed very professionally in coats, ties, and slacks. I'm glad they were flexible, and I would have completely understood if there were a light dress code in place. It may be something worth considering, as a simple expectation like a collared shirt could help better align the guest experience with the professional service and pricing. The lunch menu setup was another downside. Lunch felt like a scaled-down version of the dinner menu, yet many items overlapped exactly. Portions were the same and prices were the same, even though most people go to lunch expecting lighter portions or at least a price adjustment. Receiving dinner pricing and dinner-sized portions at lunch feels off and a bit unfair from a customer perspective. Service, however, was excellent. My server Mark was attentive, professional, and did a great job throughout the meal. The hostess was also pleasant, though upon arrival both the hostess and a manager were on the phone, which made in-person guests feel secondary to phone calls--minor, but noticeable. The food itself was very good. The bread was excellent with a nice garlic flavor. The lump crab cakes appetizer was outstanding and one of the highlights of the meal. I also ordered a smoky specialty cocktail that was strong, flavorful, and well made. For the main course, I had the burger with mashed potatoes, cooked perfectly medium and flavorful even without condiments. One final note that stood out: the restaurant lists a culinary manager rather than an executive chef, which shows in the experience. There's very little sense of nightly specials, seasonal changes, or chef-driven creativity. Combined with the ballroom-style dining room and casual tone, it gives the impression of a more corporate dining steakhouse rather than something exclusive or chef-led. At the price point, places with an executive chef, typically stop by tables, check on the food, how guests are enjoying it or what changes need to be made. That absence further reinforces the banquet-style, corporate dining feel rather than a chef-led steakhouse experience. Overall, the food and service were strong, but the ambiance, lunch pricing structure, and overall identity bring this down to a 3-star experience. That said, there's a lot of potential here for the area--if the atmosphere and concept are refined, this could become something truly special. read more

Overall I'd give them an "eh" at best. We had the two best Prime Steaks on the menu, Kansas City Strip and Delmonico. KC was suppose to be MR and Delmonico was M, they mixed up the temps. Both were somewhat cold and dry when served, even though the server brought plates using towels because they were "hot", plates were cold. The sides were cold and small. My Baked was huge but I had to ask for toppings and then salt and pepper. They've been opened for more than a month so it's time to get it together folks ! If you are looking for a special place for dinner, pass this restaurant up and go somewhere else. Last night dinner was horrendous from the moment we walk in , we should have left. The food was cold the lamb was poorly seasoned and served cold by the time we got the plate and one dish had to go back because it was wrong, the coffee was even cold. There was no room even though we had a reservation and had to eat at the bar which was freezing because their new air conditioning systems was not working( no heat) although the staff apologized over and over again. We had such an incredible experience dining here. The service is extraordinary, our server Eileen was one of the best servers we have ever had in a restaurant. The touches that were done like showing the meat cuts and explaining them all were what brings the restaurant to the top tier of steakhouses. The views are great and it will be incredible when Eastport has entertainment it will be front and center. The filet we had was 5 star, the sides were perfect and the chopped salad was so very yummy. We had an early dinner , around 2:40 pm on Friday . We are inside by a window which was lovely . Our server Saran was awesome . Very accommodating and had my second ice tea to me before I asked . My husband had the Wagu burger which was prepared perfectly since he likes medium rare . You get to pick your sides so he ordered mushrooms that were delicious! We both stared off with their French onion soup that is so rich and yummy. I had the chicken sandwich without the creamed spinach and my side was Asparagus. Dear Prime and Ember Management Team, My wife and I visited your restaurant on November 17th2025 to celebrate our anniversary. The atmosphere was indeed very classy, and our server, Amanda, was attentive and wonderful throughout the evening, acting as a true professional despite the issues that arose. Unfortunately, the quality and execution of the food severely compromised what should have been a celebratory occasion, leading to significant disappointment. Specific Food Issues: Starter (Lobster Bisque): I ordered the Lobster Bisque. It arrived lumpy, and the advertised "cherry" note was undetectable. While the portion of lobster meat was fair, the preparation was below standard for a fine-dining establishment. Entrees - First Attempt (Two 6oz Filets): We both ordered the 6oz Filet. My wife requested hers Rare with Creamed Spinach. I requested mine BLUE with No Salt and a side of Asparagus. The first delivery was completely mixed up. My wife received an overcooked, unsalted steak, and I received a medium-cooked, salted steak, along with Asparagus (which was intended for me, but her Creamed Spinach was missing). Both steaks were immediately sent back with a clear request for a Blue preparation for my filet. Entrees - Second Attempt: My wife's filet was cooked correctly, but her side order was still incorrectly delivered as Asparagus instead of Creamed Spinach. My filet, intended to be cooked Blue (lightly seared exterior, cold interior), was cooked Pittsburgh Style--effectively burnt on the exterior--with no salt. Given the significant wait and the desire to salvage some of the evening, I reluctantly ate the steak, which was the worst dining experience I have had at a purportedly high-end steakhouse. The burnt coating left an unpleasant aftertaste that overpowered the meat. Service and Brand Discrepancy: The evening was further marred by a loud incident where a tray of dishes was dropped by another server. While I understand new restaurants face initial hurdles, there is a fundamental disconnect between the high expectations your staff (and the restaurant's decor) convey, and the culinary execution delivered. When Prime and Ember aims to be mentioned alongside world-class steakhouses like Bern's, Capital Grille, and Flemings, the quality control must be impeccable. A "Blue" steak is universally understood in these establishments as lightly seared on both sides; it should not resemble a Pittsburgh/burnt preparation, nor should the quality of the filet itself look comparable to an Omaha gift box product. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Prime and Ember based on this disastrous anniversary experience. they should rename this place: crime and somber! ordered the rack of lamb...they should rename this: rack of breadcrumb... almost $60. for this pathetic rack of no meat, all breadcrumb and mustard....they must order their lamb and steak cuts from their distributor, with the smallest weight cuts, so they can up-charge the most on their customers for profit imo....this was the worst rack of lamb (breadcrumbs) i've ever had... but i didn't complain.. not until i received the bill....they charged me $13. for a shot of absolute vodka!! i had 3 while sitting there over an hour...that is $39 for 3 shots, i could have bought a 1.75 bottle of absolute.... avoid this over hyped restaurant, it makes the outback steakhouse look like a 3 star michelin restaurant.... i want the best for the villages but we dont need greedy restaurants taking advantage of us....if you feel you got ripped off...speak up and avoid the place...they will get the message!!! read more

The food was wonderful. The scallops were delightful and my friends enjoyed their steaks. The service was wonderful and I really liked the ambiance. We were seated in view of the entertainment area which was really nice. The only complaint is that I am 5 feet tall and the chair was very uncomfortable. First too heavy to pull in to the table without help and could not touch my feet to the floor. Having available a small throw pillow for the back would be helpful to accommodate those of us that are vertically challenged. Next time we go I will try to remember to bring my own little pillow. read more

This new restaurant south of 44 has the potential to be the most popular restaurant in the entire Villages. The facility is impressive and the menu is extensive. Bar area is well executed. And the rooftop bar has a great view. My wife and I had the prime filet, which was cooked to our specifications and quite good. They also serve smoked old-fashions that are on a par with Lopez's. Wine selection is better than average. Even though it is newly opened, reservations are needed. read more

Went with friends for lunch to give this "new to us " restaurant a try. They are from out of town so we were so excited to introduce them to this BEAUTIFUL location . The hostess and manager were warm and welcoming. The restaurant is lovely and well appointed. BUT.... that's where the compliments end. We had reservations and arrived early so we headed to the terrace for a bevi until our friend arrived I had a cocktail and hubby an Iced tea. Quite frankly, the bites menu was more appealing than the dining room menu. In fact, I wanted to try the fried green tomatoes and knew my guest enjoyed them as well . So, I held off. At lunch I attempted to order them as an appetizer for the table and was informed that we could ONLY get them at the terrace.... First disappointment. The menu is a tad sparse and nothing appealed to me except the tuna tartar... so that was lunch. Very unimpressive. My husband had not finished his tea upstairs so he brought it to our lunch table. In asking for a refill, we were again charged for another tea. Which, BTW is $5.00, so multiply that by two. Our guest had the seafood sandwich and ribeye sandwich. While the ribeye sandwich was complimented, The seafood sandwich did NOT sit well with my friend and she could not eat it. In fact she was not feeling well as we departed. We will leave it at that. Since we could not have Tge fried green tomatoes , we did try the beef tartare . This is usually a favorite for me but I have to say The way it was prepared here, one bite and I was done. It was such a disappointment. Other than the beautiful decore and location , the food was way below par and for the price point, you'd expect more. Sorry to say, not likely to return.
