Those who follow my reviews know that I eat out quite a bit and review hundreds of restaurants on many platforms. So when I say that this steakhouse is among the best meals I've ever eaten I am saying quite a lot. Honestly, I only ate here because I had a gift card, but I will be returning over and over again because meals do not get any better than this. Let me explain. From the moment you walk in your treated with incredible courtesy. Every member of the staff, whether they are waiting at you or just walking by make eye contact and make you feel valued just for being there. The ambience of the restaurant is typical steakhouse, but it is quite elegant as can be seen in the pictures. The tables are set beautifully, but still, I can't get over how good the service is considering the number of people at the restaurant. Other fine restaurants should experience an evening here to learn how to do it right. But at a steakhouse ir comes down to two things. The quality of the steak and how it is prepared. Here is where they excel. Every cut of meat is among the best. Not simply top cuts but carefully selected to be exemplary. And each steak is treated in a way that you would expect something so valuable to be prepared. They are cooked perfectly, but not just temperature. The balance of seasoning adds to, but never overpowers the flavor of the delicious meat that they are serving. We start our meal with the crabcakes, not your typical crabcakes which are heavily into the breading and minimally into the crab. These are wonderful cakes of crab prepared, unique and beautiful way, which was just so tasty that I was thrilled that I had ordered it. They brought over some complementary meatballs, which also were stellar. But the main event was the steak and as previously stated, it was just delicious. Clearly among the best I've ever eaten even a place ranked as the top steakhouses in the world. Clearly, the people that do the rankings didn't drop in here. Because we were celebrating a birthday, they gave us a complementary dessert. Nothing fancy, but we were not going to eat dessert anyway having filled up on a wonderful meal. Perhaps next time. Our first experience here at the famous Charley's is FIRE! We just drove up from Miami today and were ready for a splurge dinner. WOW-This establishment is LEGIT in every way. Firstly, the complimentary cordial valet that greets you driving up is a perfect touch. It starts you off feeling well attended and pampered. Good job! We had an rsvp, and were greeted by staff at the podium. We had waiter Christian, who is over the top fantastic! Not too much, not too little. A perfect feel for handling customers. All Staff are both formal (tux!) and friendly. They are swift, Helpful and with great attention to detail. I broke a wine glass & they were all over it in a moment, like it never happened! And apologized to ME?! We love our steakhouses for special occasions, so this is a definite yes in our list. We decided to choose an app to share, two entrees & one side. We got a crab cake app (fabulous), 4 complimentary meatballs (also delish!), side of au gratin corn flake top potatoes, 24 oz bone in ribeye and 8 oz filet mignon, butterflied. ALL great! This review places no fault on the staff. Even on an off night, the team at Charlie's remains some of the most delightful and respectful I've experienced at any restaurant. The food has also been consistently high quality across most visits, with only very few moments where I can recall any issues. Had a fabulous date night with my husband, something we had been looking forward to for a while. The food was delicious. I ordered the chef's special, the surf and turf (filet with a half lobster tail cooked scampi). Our server was delightful, though service was a bit slower than usual this night. We sat for a while after the bread and salads, which are always generous, and by the time our meals arrived I was already pretty full. We dine here often, so I know this isn't typical and just felt like an off night. As usual, the staff came over to box up our leftovers, and since we were caught up enjoying our evening, we didn't pay close attention. Unfortunately, the next day I realized my leftovers were missing almost the entire lobster tail, which was a big part of a very expensive dish. I was honestly a little sad, as I had been looking forward to enjoying it for lunch. I do wish I had double-checked before leaving, but I also think a bit more care could have been taken when packing it. They've always done such a great job in the past, even boxing up small extras, so it didn't cross my mind to check. Just a heads up to others to make sure everything is in your to-go boxes before you leave. I still appreciate the dining experience at Charlie's, but anyone would be disappointed to lose part of such an expensive meal. Charley's is a great staple steakhouse. Service is always great and food is always fresh and out quick. I really enjoyed the lamb. I love the salad and bread that comes with the entrees! The martini was also a great new try. Beef tartar is one of my favorites! They offer free valet and would recommend making a reservation! The only downfall was that I took home some leftovers and found a hair in my leftovers. This hasn't happened before but was sad not to enjoy the food next day. read more

Every course felt crafted with care, from the appetizers to the final bite of dessert. We had a party of 16 for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. The staff was all very accommodating and helpful. Bailey and the rest of the crew took excellent care of us. My mom's steak was slightly over-cooked, so they wouldn't even serve it to her. The remade the steak and brought out a cup of the lobster bisque for her to eat while she waited. Every food item we ordered was tasty and prepared well. The presentation kn the plates was great. Dinner here was almost as much of a show as it was a meal. read more

This is another restaurant that has been around forever which is close to my family's timeshare. We've had a few steak dinners here on days we didn't do a late night at Disney. Food has always been good and steaks cooked as ordered. Nice desserts too and solid wine selection. Even though its located in a small strip mall area of restaurants the inside is more of an upscale feel, clean, warm, with terrific service, as should be expected of a steakhouse. Also, it's not a cheaper meal as you should expect steakhouse and tourist area pricing so I'd not recommend it to bring the family of little kiddies as there are many more affordable spots for family/children dining in the area. read more

Thank you Charley's for bringing back the bone-in angus ribeye! I entered last week unsure based on my last visit. However, as soon as I was seated and greeted by my fabulous server, I could tell this was going to be a five star meal. I started with a great bourbon (Elijah Craig small batch) pour, over a sphere of ice. The bone-in wet aged ribeye was fantastic. Perfectly seasoned and cooked to a delicious medium rare, I chose the peppercorn sauce, which added a spicy dimension to the steak. The au gratin potatoes lacked creaminess and were not as good as previous trips. I saved room for what may be one of the top two or three desserts I've ever had. The butter cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream was out of this world. Well done Charley's!! read more

Saturday night, first time visit. I would go back if I was ever in the area again. We had a reservation for a birthday dinner. There was a wait to be seated even with the reservation. From the time we arrived until we left the birthday was acknowledged. The service was great. We did sit near the back by the party room and it was very drafty. The calamari and meats(filet mignon and pork chops) were great. The garlic mashed potatoes were too garlicy for the table. The salad comes out on a chilled plate, the cheesy rolls were ok. This is a very high-end steakhouse. What impressed me, was both the Wine selection and the stake selection. Extensive on both fronts. I would recommend, if you want, medium, or medium well. My wife and I both ordered medium and got medium rare. That said, my Porter house steak was excellent.... Just pricey . The wine selection is stunning, ...but pricey. If you're a Cabernet drinker, go past the first few pages on the wine list, and you can find some nice Paso Robles wines for a reasonable price. read more

This location gives off a totally different vibe than the location on I-drive. You still have your classic steakhouse ambiance and wood fired grill in the front, but the service at this location was exceptional. Both locations are in a pretty tourist heavy area, however this one has more of a local vibe. I ordered the escargot to start. It was okay. What a delight! While in town for a work conference, I treated myself to a steak dinner after a long work week! This place was recommended as I did not want to chain, and I must say it did not disappoint! While I wish I was hungrier, the food was absolutely exquisite, and the service was even better! We started off with an appetizer of the fried shrimp, while they pride themselves on hand breading, and making their own, it was a little heavy of a breading, though I did not find it to be greasy. So that, in and of itself is impressive! We moved onto their incredibly addictive, cheesy garlic bread and delicious light and refreshing salad while choosing the filet mignon with a shrimp topper. The steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. You can tell this is one of the last places that puts pride into what they do with their food. Do not be fooled by the outside of this establish. Once you walk in, you see the sophistication in the ambience as soon as you open the double doors. Christian was absolutely amazing in assisting us with having a great evening. The service was impeccable. The only thing is I just cannot get my husband's steak right but it's OK. I ate it the next day once we reheated it after we took it home. The manager on duty that night was amazing as well. The first time we came to Charley's was a year and a half ago and we left a Sterling review. We've been back numerous times since and I thought it was time to write another review. I can best describe this dining experience at Charley's steakhouse as being made to feel like royalty from the moment you enter. We've had several different waiters and all have been fantastic. Tonight Melissa served us and she was wonderful. Have to give a shout out to mgr. Tyler as well. While they are known for wonderful steaks I can't get past the fantastic Faroe Island salmon. I've never had another restaurant come close with that dish. And because it's sushi grade I get to order it medium rare as I love it! and I'm in love with their crown Manhattans! We have a lot of birthdays in this month so we stated that we wanted to do the top steak restaurants and so here we are at the famous Charley's. It is more like a romantic mood when you walked into this Atmosphere even the air was a crisp air. We had a nice waiter he was okay he wasn't an upbeat waiter but he was okay for the ladies. The Cheddar bread at the beginning was top tier. I really want the recipe to cook it at home. They're so delicious. Now the pork chop was very juicy and very seasoned. We had a Rose Lemon Drop and the bartender made the drink in front of its which was very delightful to watch. From the second we walked in, we were hit with the intoxicating aroma of seared steak and the faint sound of my diet crying in the distance. Charley's knows exactly what they're doing--this place is a temple of meat, and I was ready to worship. The steak? Perfection. Charred just right on the outside, juicy on the inside, and seasoned by what I assume was magic and possibly a deal with the culinary devil. The potatoes were swimming in butter--and I mean that as the highest compliment possible. If I could've used a biscuit to mop up the butter pond, I would've. The only weird note was the salad, which was about 10% greens and 90% dressing. I like flavor, but I also like to see my lettuce. Overall: worth it. I got the escargot, angus ribeye steak and the garlic mashed potatoes. Very filling and the sides are huge. It was pricy but worth it! The only reason I'm not giving it a 5 star is the parking. There is no option to self park. While they offer complimentary valet, the expectation is that you tip. I am from out of town and I did not realize that before I chose the restaurant and when the valet brought back my car he asked for a tip and it was very off putting. I didn't prepare with cash and he asked if I had cashapp, Venmo or Zelle. Very Delicious Steak. Every time my boyfriend and I visit this place it is a hit. My favorite steak is the T-bone. The service is always great and they always display the meats prior to purchase so you know what you're getting due to the countless choices. The ambience is very classy. We were in town for my husband's work conference but I hadn't personally been here in like 20 years so when I saw it was still reviewed well I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad we did!!!The service & food were beyond excellent! I tried a "ribeye filet" something I'd never had before, and my server recommend I try a peppercorn sauce over my usual bernaise- which was a game changer. We started with Caesar's and house salad. Sides were lobster MAC & mushrooms-both so delicious! I wanted to say that although the food was incredible, the way that the staff handled a food situation that came up was really the icing on the cake for us in terms of experience & service!!! We ordered a 8oz filet medium rare for my daughter and it just tasted "off" . We hated to complain, we usually don't even mention stuff, but this being a expensive order, they really went above and beyond to correct everything and kept our dining experience feeling seamless! I'm in town for my birthday weekend and reserved dinner here. From the moment I walked in until the time I left, service was immaculate. They even had a bday card at the table for me. Our server was absolutely the best but I hate I forgot his name as I would love to give him a personal shout out. But all of the staff I encountered was awesome, so I'll just shout out the whole place lol. I went with my aunt and uncle who have lived in Florida for years but never been here, they were very pleased with their experience and vowed to come back. I got the lamb chops and man oh man were they delish! It came with a side salad and my table ordered the cauliflower dish at our waiters suggestion. I can't describe how good it was, it was simply amazing. At the end they brought out some ice cream with a candle on it as a special treat for my birthday. Our server (Aaron) was awesome! Amazingly engaging and knowledgeable of the menu. His recommendations were spot on. The fried grouper appetizer was so light and tasty. The key lime tartar sauce was a superlative accent. The salad with olive vinaigrette was perfect. We shared a filet mignon, and it was so good and not very heavy and cooked perfectly. The baked potato was the size of a NERF football. And could be the only downfall since it was luke warm. But that was probably due to the copious amounts of sour cream and butter. The steaks (KC ribeye and filet mignon) were good. The sides (Broc and garlic mash) were not good at all. They served a lot but not good quality. The old fashioned was OK (super sweet). The Manhattan was $34.00, yep - $34.00!! And the waiter shook it. A Manhattan, no matter what, is never to be shaken. I repeat, NEVER TO BE SHAKEN. Our waiter (Stacey) was an arrogant jerk. Condescending to all his customers, I felt bad for an elderly lady who simply asked about the house salad. And his feelings were hurt when no one at our table ordered anything he recommended. I have been to many high end steakhouses and this one for what they charge should absolutely have been a lot better than three stars. Unbelievable!
