Initially I came here due to all the 5 star reviews assuming things would work out well. I dropped off my car and hit it off with the people there. They told me it would take about a week and a half to replace my bumper and my headlight which I thought was a very long time. I was happy when I was told the following day that it would actually be done Friday (a few days after I dropped it off). I had a meeting in las Vegas (the following day,Saturday) so it worked out great to be able to drive my own car - but I got a call Friday (initial promise date) 5 minutes before closing to tell me it wouldn't be ready till Monday due to it having to get "cleaned and polished" which I replied with "oh don't worry I can wash it myself ". Their response was "oh its a special wash and polish that we must do". This instantly threw a curve ball and made me scramble to find a rental car and almost ruined my work meeting (the worst part was that my boss flew in from NY and planned on riding with me to the meeting). I just found out that they're open from 9am to 12pm today (Saturday), which would still have worked out fine for me if I would have gotten my car back. I'm reviewing my experience before I even get my car back because at this point it doesn't matter what the car looks like, the fact that i got a call 5 minutes before they closed on the due date to delay it by 3 more days due to a "wash and polish" and basically have no consideration for my plans annoys me. I would understand if they had been delayed due to parts or just how busy they couldve been but the reasoning behind the delay is absurd to me. read more

He, personally, attended to the car. Not only that, he made sure that it was not a hassle for me. He drove me to my work and brought my car back. Plus, he gave me a very good price. This guy has been in the business for more than 20 years -- very well-established already. But, he acted towards me as if I was his very first customer. I felt VIP. Auto accidents are not fun to deal with, but wow, what can I say ... I was rear ended a few weeks back and had to work through all the insurance BS because I was hit by an uninsured driver. UGH! Working with my insurance company I was steered to the guys at Prime Autoworks in No Ho as a preferred vendor for them. Generally I don't go with the preferred vendors because I'm not sure if they are looking out for me or the insurance company. All I can say is I had an amazing experience with Andrew, Sonia and the team took great care of my truck and also of me! They estimated that it would take 4 or 5 days to get the truck back into shape and I figured I'd be in a tiny rental for the week. Nope! I dropped my truck off on Monday at 8:30 and by Monday noon they had it ripped down and the repair work was in progress. I am back in my truck 2 and a half days earlier than I expected. I've got my truck back and it looks 5 years younger! Clean and fresh too almost like it's been detailed. If you live in the SF Valley defiantly check these guys out because they will have you back to normal in a flash! read more

My GF and I were stopped on the freeway in traffic when, BAM, the girl behind us (who described herself as "distracted") plows into us... Fortunately, nobody was hurt. Her car is totaled and my BMW is not happy. She was not driveable and after a ride on flatbed, spent the night in an impound yard. My X5 is a 4.8is which is both rare and pretty bad-ass for an SUV. Not a scratch on her, and less than 40K original miles, so I really was worried that there was no way she would ever be the same.... My insurance agent, who like me is a real "car guy" recommended Prime Autoworks and I decided to give them a shot. He called Prime's owner who called me back within a few minutes, and told me not to worry, that they would handle everything. You now what, they actually did! They arranged to pick up my car, arranged for Enterprise to pick me up to get me into a rental, called me later that day and said they would have an estimate the next day, and did everything in a friendly and professional manner. The estimate had pictures to document everything. They used only new real BMW parts. The paint match was spot on. They did an absolutely fabulous job. No rattles, alignment issues, nothing! The only holdup was caused when the BMW dealer messed up and took an extra week to get an external plug mount for my trailer hitch connector. The foreman knew I was not happy with the rental (spoiled!), so they offered to let me pick up my car, and when the part came in, to come to my office to get it, do the final repair, and bring it back to my office. They even took back my Enterprise rental for me. These guts are 100% top notch. Anyone who knows me will tell you I am picky (some say anal) about my cars. If you need a first rate repair shop, that does superb work and is professional from the receptionist to the foreman, you can't do better than Prime Autoworks. read more

Just got my Jeep back and it is perfect! But the best part is they originally quoted me $1500, but when I went to pick it up they said it was $300 less!! Since my insurance wasn't paying, and I was paying out of my own pocket, this delighted me. They could have easily gotten the quoted amount, but they are very honest. In addition I got a free ride home after I dropped off the car, then they picked me up to go get it when finished. I tried to tip the driver, but he wouldn't take it. This place is a life saver. I over-extended my truck door which I thought was going to cost a lot of money to get fixed. I've spent about a day searching for the best place to get a wheel alignment in North Hollywood until I finally found Prime Autoworks. The staff (I personally dealt with Andrew) was very friendly and knowledgeable and the equipment they use is the newest available today. Their services were reasonable and all I had to pay was $65 probably the lowest price in the area. This is a production shop that mostly handles collision repair and although they seemed very busy they were able to get me back on the road within 45 minutes. I never expect much when having a car repaired by insurance. In the past, I've had issues with a replacement hood never matching up or working as well, and the repairs always seem obvious. Despite re-repairs, nothing ever looked the same. So my expectations were low. They need not have been. No matter how high my hopes, this professional job would have impressed. Seriously, my car looks new, at least from the front! The hood was replaced and works better than the original, matches and lines up perfectly, and the match in color is exact. Now I want to go back and have a few other things repaired (none of them my fault!) just so the car will look good when driving away as well, and because I know Leon (I think that's his name) will do a truly professional job. Just gorgeous. Worked great with my insurance also, very pleased with all. AND FAST! The parts took a number of days to come in and I still had my car in less than a week. I have never been treated so rudely by a "professional" business in my life. Yesterday I brought my truck to a service center due to some wobbling at low speeds. They told me they noticed some frame damage that was causing the misalignment of the back wheels and I needed to take it to a body shop to correct this. It's a 20 year old truck that had been in an accident a while back so this didn't surprise me. When I got to Prime Autoworks this morning, I was met by a very nice receptionist who had remembered me calling the day before. She was fine. When I got paired up with Andrew is when things got surreal. We go out to look at my truck and he's doing a basic visual inspection, not even looking underneath, and he says "I'm not seeing any frame damage". I politely let him know it was spotted while the truck was up on a rack... you know, where you can inspect the frame. He proceeds to gaslight me, telling me there's no damage that would effect the ride, and what I really need is new tires, alignment, and suspension work. I repeat what I'd told him in the beginning of our conversation, that I noticed the wobbling while the truck was on a dyno being smog checked, where the suspension would have no bearing. He didn't seem to have an answer to that. I asked him flat out if he's not willing to put the vehicle on a rack to inspect it and he said no! He said "it's not worth having my guys stop everything to confirm something I already know." I say "Okay, it's just that these guys had it on a rack and said they saw damage, but you don't have it on a rack and you're telling me there's no damage. You see my concern, right?" He arrogantly tells me about how this is what he does for a living and the service place I took it to didn't know what they were talking about. Right, my mistake! Why would anyone question your ability to look at a car from the outside and accurately deduce what's wrong internally? This whole conversation went on for about 25 minutes. He's talking to me about literally everything the truck needs EXCEPT the frame damage he's refused to actually look at. He's asking about brakes. I tell him yeah, it's been a while. He says when the wheels are off that's the best time to do that (is he giving me generic maintenance advice now?) He asks if I get my oil changed regularly. I'm weirded out now. I say yes, but that doesn't effect the ride. He just looks down and says "Ok, have a nice day" and WALKS AWAY FROM ME. I call after, asking if I offended him, but he just walks inside. I walk inside after him and he'd already disappeared somewhere in the back. I don't get it. I didn't try to haggle with him. I didn't call him names. All I did was ask for a thorough inspection which I was happy to pay for. This was after a couple friends recommended this place to me. Well I hope my account will change their minds next time they think of getting any work done here. read more
