The north shore Kobe burger is the best tasting burger on Long Island. But I've tried a couple burgers and have never been disappointed

First time here. Had a special promotion for a free appetizer, which our waitperson had a difficult time handling. He had to ask the manager. Then after he straightened that out, he forgot to bring it out with our meals. Again and again, he was asked. We were almost finished when he finally brought it out. Please keep in mind that although this place is a bar, it draws families in because it makes these special milkshakes. Bars are usually noisy. Add kids and it is way too loud. We were fine until four kids were seated right next to us. Then we moved to a wobbly table. The third time was fine but very close to the bar. Ate here last night with hubby. He wanted to try it forever so we finally decided to give it a try. Overall we were both pretty happy with the food we ordered. He had the prime burger and added his own toppings. I ordered the ahi tuna burger. Both were seasoned very well. The slaw on the tuna burger added some nice acidity and texture. I would have given 5 stars but the tuna was not cooked properly. IMHO tuna should always be cooked black and blue. The menu did say it was seared rare ... which unfortunately it was not. But overall a pretty good experience. Good food, good service and close to home lol. read more

Nice enough place with a good variety of burgers. Ordered the Juicy Lucy and my buddy ordered the build your own. Juicy Lucy seemed like it was pre-seared and the nuked. Ordered it medium and it came out mid rare. Cheese in middle was one solid clump. Burger is thick like a hockey puck and the bun is way to small. Very messy. Not cheap. Let me sum up the burger I had last night: Nice bun, hardly any cheese, the meat had a twang and the patty wasn't seasoned. My wife had to work late and I had Prime Burger Bar bookmarked for a while. I order a beer on tap and we both ordered the same Steakhouse Burger. My wife asked what type of fries are served with the burger and we were told shoestring. I hate shoestring french fries because they get cold too fast. I ordered coleslaw on the side. Our burgers come out to us. Visually, the burger looks great. It has a nice thick patty and the bun is fresh. Biting into the burger, the meat wasn't seasoned. The burger is flavorless. If there is cheese on the burger, they laid it on skimpy. And where are the pickles?! No pickles are being served at Prime Burger Bar. I'm assuming he was a manager, he walks over with my beer. I'm looking at him from the bar and I'm saying please don't be me, please don't be me.. This guy gives me a beer in a cocktail glass?? And it's mostly foam.. The couple next to us ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and she has steak fries!!! What type of place is this?? Prime Burger Bar is more of a bar than a restaurant. This has nothing to do with the food. Burgers are good, waitresses, bartenders, everyone was nice. It's about the Deceptive Advertising they do. There is a Huge A-frame on Jericho Turnpike stating "HAPPY HOUR ALL DAY LONG", and they have some decent prices and specials. Because of that sign, some friends and I decided to check the place out. We all had a drink at the bar before dinner and when some of us went to order another drink, (it was now after 6pm) we were informed that Happy Hour was over. What?, the sign out front says All Day Long. We were informed that on the sign (in very small print, which you don't notice) it says from Mon - Fri Until 6 pm. Now personally, that's fine. Happy Hour ending at 6pm. Just make the rules big enough so they can be seen on the sign. Don't sneak it in on the small print. It's just shady. read more

Absolutely love Prime Burger Bar, this time I had their Wednesday Special - a Farmhouse buttermilk fried chicken sandwich with french fries and included either 1 mixed drink or beer or milkshake and that's for dine in only, all for $11.95. Their regular menu is amazing, usually if I'm in the mood for a burger I have the Prime aged steak blend which is delicious to say the least and their Specials & Happy Hour are a must!!!! Be sure to check out their website online for their Lunch Specials, Monday Special, Wednesday Special & Happy Hour all day long M-F until 6pm. The staff are always friendly, attentive but not intrusive, will always explain the menu if needed with a smile. The overall Bar/Restaurant is really nice & clean. They do have a back room if the front room gets too crowded. Parking lot is big so there's no issue with parking at all. Be sure to check out their menu online, you'll get hungry just by reading it. I haven't been here for two years, and it was just as excellent as the last visit. We were shown to a table after a 10-minute wait, which is quick considering it was a Saturday night at 7pm. I was with a friend who was never here before and while we were eating, we were discussing which items we will try on the next visit! We started the meal with an order of Short Rib Poutine which was fabulous. My friend said he could've have eaten the whole order by himself, it's plenty for two it's just that wonderful. I had the Steak House Burger which comes on a pretzel bun with Truffle Fries. These fries are a little extra but so worth it. My friend had the Great South Bay Burger with Onion Rings, outstanding. They charged me for for extra sauces I didn't order. I told them I didn't want that they said. Whatever it's only a dollar. They charged $1.75 for extra cheese. They made me wait 10 minutes to get an extra side of blue cheese. I asked a waiter after the host took several calls before getting my extra sauce and he said he couldn't help me. Quality has gone down enormously. We got an appetizer, and burgers. Additionally, two chocolate milkshakes were ordered- they ran out of chocolate icecream and tried to make it with vanilla icecream. So glad we went! My wife and I came in thinking we would try the place out for hamburgers. Thanks to our superb waiter (I believe his name is Marty), he told us about the special that they had, and it was too good of a deal to pass up. The chicken sandwich was delicious, and truth be told would have been well worth it at the regular price, but as a special, it was a steal! For an app we decided to split the pretzel. It was quite large, had great dips to go along with it, and came out warm, fresh, and perfect. The chicken sandwich (we both ordered it) was flavorful and moist, and great sauces to accompany it, which we enjoyed with the French fries. We could not finish it all, but that did not stop us from enjoying the milk shakes at the end. I'm so grateful for the waiter telling us about the special, and he was extremely attentive and personable. Outdoor Dining Review: Great selection of burgers, Top notch service, Great Shakes! My expectation was that this would be another gimmicky burger place with large shakes. My reality was this restaurant had AWESOME burgers and the shakes were the best! Located on Jericho in Commack, this was a very easy restaurant to get to. Because they are offering outdoor dining, there's a large tent set up in the parking lot so the restaurant will be easy to find. It is also located in the strip mall where Sobol is. Plenty of parking! Customers & staff are required to wear masks. Everything was very clean. Limited indoor seating, but plenty of outdoor. The tables are spaced far apart. The prices are comparable to other burger places but I feel like the quality here was better. The service was a large part of why this restaurant deserved 5 stars. Our server Nina S really made our first Prime Burger experience great. She was super friendly and attentive. Refills were always given (free soda refills btw) and she kept checking up on the table. She was awesome. The food was delicious! I will be reviewing what I tried: -PB&J Wings: Starting out with my favorite appetizer of the night. I needed to try wings that are tossed in a peanut butter and jelly sauce! I know some might think it's strange, but the combination just worked! Not to mention the wings were PERFECTLY cooked! We were a group of 9 people. Some had been there before some not. We had a great experience. We sat in the back room since we had a big party. The back room had a tv in with the football game on. The menu has many great items on it and not too overwhelming. We started with drinks 2 people had the Raspberry Long Island ice tea. Another person had a Bloody Mary. Everyone else had water. We shared 3 appetizers the Bavarian Pretzel, Fried Brussel Sprouts, and the onion rings. Everything came out hot and tasty. For dinner we all chose different things. Two did build your own burger. Someone did the black and blue burger. Another did the Ribeye Steak Sammie. Two people shared the Prime BLt and fries. Another person had the lamb burger and our last person had teriyaki wings. UPDATE - the manager Ed reached out to me and apologized for my experience. I understand that with these delivery services the restaurant loses control once it gets into the drivers hands. There was only 8 fries but they were delicious and the burger was very tasty. I would not use the delivery service again due to the surcharges it's just not worth it. I will definitely give them another try but eat in the restaurant or pick up myself next time. Thank you again to Ed for being so kind as to reach out to me. I just ordered delivery for the first time through DoorDash from Prime Burger. I have never ate in the restaurant. They don't take reservations, annoying, but even on a Friday night which was obviously busy, we only waited 15 minutes for a party of 7. So far so good. Our server couldnt have been more attentive. He was fantastic. Not sure what's going on in the kitchen though. Two members of our party received their food a solid 10 minutes before the rest of us did. Three of us ordered the cobb salad with grilled chicken. The ingredients were super fresh, with the lone exception being the chicken which was horribly dry and obviously cooked well in advance of our order. Thank G-d for salad dressing! The worst part however was that one salad was ordered without cheese. When the salad arrived at our table it was obvious that someone in fact did not prepare it without cheese, and a half-hearted attempt was made to remove said cheese, with many small bits remaining behind. The good news is that it was noticed, sent back and corrected. The troubling thing is that if it wasn't noticed and this person had a food allergy..... well let's just say that Prime Burger Bar would have new owners. Yes, this is a burger place and you might be saying "you're in a burger place, why are you ordering a salad"? and to that i say, "because that's what i wanted and its on the menu." Someone needs to get ahold of the kitchen staff and straighten them out, they are a disaster. The party seated near us had small kids that were out of control, luck of the draw i guess, but nevertheless this is not a quiet place, so dont come here looking to engage in conversation with your party. The wings here are delicious! They're huge and they were juicy and crispy even with the sauce. My partner and I got mild wings and they were mild, if it was up to me I would do hot. I got the steak sandwich and it was really good. I asked for it rare and it was cooked to rare with a good amount of cheese. The truffle fries were pretty good, but steak fries are just my least favorite type of fry. My partner got a burger with the usual lettuce tomato and American cheese topping with regular fries and he said it was a really good burger. We definitely plan on coming back. read more

As you walk in, there is a long bar area with flat screens playing mostly sporting events. We ordered wings of all kinds, and some spicy. I ordered a Belgium beer called Delirium. Today was a daddy-daughter day from swim lessons to play park to lunch. I always look to try something new and well recommended. Using my handy Yelp app, I found Prime even before I left the play indoor park where my daughter and some friends from school met up and the parents were lucky enough to get them out of the house for a little while because it was just too cold to hang outside. There is a large parking lot out front that makes that part of the experience a snap. Once inside, we were immediately seated and Gabby came straight away to introduce herself and offer us some drinks. After just a minute to peruse the kiddy menu and the promise of an ice cream afterwards, guaranteed that the burger and bowl of pasta would be eliminated without delay for my little girl. My burger was a little more involved- The thing is, you choose the meat/non meat protein, the bread or non bread, and the toppings. For me it was (and they have to name it after me if it ever appears on their menu) Lamb burger cooked medium on challah bread with caramelized onions and mushrooms with tzatziki sauce.. Wow - so good. Both my daughter's burger and mine were served with French fries but you can upgrade to other types if you prefer. I left fat and happy and she did as well because we made good on the promise of an ice cream with whipped cream and sprinkles- just like any good daddy would. My boyfriend and I tried this place on a weekday since we heard about the hype from my coworkers in farmingdale ! We walked in and it was a cute atmosphere, we got seated right away and had the cutest waitress (I want to say her name was cecile, I'm sorry if I'm wrong) she was so helpful and made the first time experience unforgettable. We ordered for an appetizer prime rib Mac and cheese that was so good (the pictures below won't even do its justice) My boyfriend ordered the bacon on bacon burger and I ordered the steak burger so good !!! Parking is great also !! Only complaint is that tables are close together but that's okay the place was smaller and we sat next to a nasty couple who were super rude !! We went and I ordered a rare hamburger and my wife ordered a regular hamburger no bun I don't know where they buy their meat from but this was far superior to any meat that I have ever purchased in a supermarket. Best Turkey burger I have EVER had. My husband and I wanted a quick cheap date night, nothing fancy just good comfort food, this is now our go to spot whenever in the mood for a burger! I don't normally make bold claims but if it's that good and I take the time out to write it I would totally recommend giving them a try. My husband who says there isn't a better burger than McDonalds ( we have gone back and forth about this) looked up at me mid way eating his regular beef burger and was like .. well this is better than McDonald's! If I could buy them frozen I would eat them weekly, seriously. Wow wow wow!!! We just picked up two burgers from Prime Burger Bar in Commack and it was an absolutely FANTASTIC dinner! To begin with the young girl that took my order over the phone was so sweet and nice. The order was ready in about 15 minutes and when we opened up the boxes at home we were really amazed. Such a huge burgers perfectly cooked and served with either french fries or very tasty and fresh coleslaw.
