My Husband and I had the most amazing experience at Prime Cut Steakhouse. We were there to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. First we were welcomed by Allen who I assume runs the restaurant, as he ensured we had to most amazing VIP experience from beginning to end. Jenna oh Jenna! She provided the most exceptional customer service as she waited on us the entire time. She was patient when we were undecided, and gave us time to really review the menu before making a final selection. Jenna made sure all our questions about the menu were answered, she never made us feel rushed, and gave her honest opinion on what her best recommendations were. We got the best presentation from Chef Greg Coyle where he came out and presented a quality Tomahawk... the fire presentation was fantastic! Jenna brought out a beautiful presentation of desserts selections. She really made us feel like we were the only individuals in the room... again never once did we feel rushed! Jenna you're the best! Chef I wish I could have you cook for us daily & Allen, thank you! Everyone's attention to detail and reassurance really made our anniversary night much more special. Lastly, the ambiance was perfect, the fresh sent as you enter the restaurant set a relaxing mood. The lighting was perfect and the live music was beautiful. We're back again! This time we came specifically to drop the $365 on the Tomahawk set and see how it stacked up against our usual favorites. First things first: The Salmon. I have never had salmon this good in my life--hands down the #1 dish of the night. If you're a fan of fish, skip everything else and just get this. The Sea Bass was fresh and the quinoa it came with was actually really tasty, but honestly, it just couldn't compete with that salmon. As for the Tomahawk set, the steak itself was great and the lobster was super fresh. However, the grilled oysters were a bit of a letdown. I get that they put salt on the bottom to keep them warm, but these were just way too salty. We also tried the Seafood Pasta, which was just "okay"--it was a little dry and came out kind of cold. On the plus side, the fried calamari was solid. The service, however, is what really makes this place. It's always top-notch here, and Ricky was especially awesome and super nice to us all night. Final thought: Even though the Tomahawk was a cool experience, I think I actually prefer the $100 set more. It feels like a better balance of flavors for the price. Where do you go in East County for a special evening dining experience? There really isnt anything. Outback? Texas Roadhouse? The Junction? Applebee's...lol. Love Dolce's but it lacks the ambiance. Our usual special night, "go-to" is Baci's in San Diego about 40 min drive which I'm less inclined to drive as I get older. I have been reluctant to even consider casino restaurants because of the noisy, smoke-filled air but I wondered if Jamul Casino (10 minute drive) had anything upscale. Thus we ended up at Jamul Casino's Prime Cut restaurant. The ambiance and overal experience was exceptional and our server Jackie gets most of the credit. I should mention the night was slow, thus she had time to share her charming smile and personality, but I felt it would have been the same no matter when you came. The review is long enough, so I'll close by acknowledging there could be exceptions, but Prime Cut is a gem of a restaurant you should try once. We celebrated a birthday at Prime Cut Steakhouse and the entire experience was truly outstanding. This continues to be one of the best steakhouse experiences in San Diego. The moment you step inside, you forget you are in Jamul Casino. The atmosphere is elegant, relaxing, and beautifully designed, and the views of the surrounding mountains make the evening feel even more special. We ordered the Snake River special and it was unforgettable. The tomahawk chop was rich and incredibly flavorful. The lobster tails were tender and sweet. The oysters Rockefeller were perfectly prepared. The bananas foster added the perfect finishing touch. Every component of the special was impressive and worth experiencing. We also had the Cote de Bouffe, which was cooked to perfection, and the wagyu burger was excellent. Service made the night feel even better. Janine took amazing care of us with genuine warmth and attention. Scotty at the bar created fantastic drinks and added great energy to the evening. Everything about this visit was exceptional. This whole establishment continues to impress and supersede any expectations i had. I just got back from vegas and was scheduled to eat at Joel robuchon with their 525$ per person degustation menu. I went here in the past when i had so much food comp i didnt know what to do with it. However, i was too busy losing 5k in slots I just ignored my dinner! Boy, was i on tilt!!! So, i figured Prime can replace my missed dining venture. Prime is elegant, classy, and the food looks divine! Its dimly lit inside and the tables are nicely spread. Its decor is classic and the vibe is really relaxing. I decided to do the prix fix menu at 100$ a person. Very reasonable as it came with a lot! We get complimentary bread at the start. At joel robuchon, you get a bread cart even with the express menu, which is already 325$ a person. Nothing can beat the bread cart at Joel robuchon, but this bread at Prime was VERY good. They have a creamy garlic chives butter that compliments the bread very well! This butter, Joel Robuchon doesnt have! I chose the salad over the soup. My husband had the soup and it was very very robust in flavor! It has sausage and is rich and creamy. My salad had a light dressing. I could use more flavor here. I got a charcuterie board as an appetizer. The bread is fantastic and the cheese is great. My husband got the chicken with asian chili. This was fantastic. Such flavor and the portion is generous. For our mains, we both chose the steak and lobster. To my surprise, my rare steak was tender and reminded me why I can no longer be a vegetarian! The lobster was fluffy and chewy and nicely prepared! The mash was blended perfectly and the asparagus had a wonderful crunch to it. It was really such a tasty and satisfying dish for me. Finally, for dessert we both got creme brulee. There was a good serving of real fruits on top and the creme brulee was soft, creamy, and perfect tasting with the perfect amount of charred glaze on top. Our server, Paris, was such a pleasure. She was classy and kind and attentive to our needs. With her, she made my experience that much better. She brought us different steak knives so we can choose what we want to use. This was a nice touch. Paris always checked on us, packaged our to-go food, and possesed a great vibe! At the end, she gave us a complimentary pallete cleanser of sorbet and chocolate! That was very cool and much appreciated! Even if the food at Joel Robuchon is A LOT more expensive and the experience is supposed to be unparalleled, at Prime, the food was much better than at Joel's, and the service was also extraordinary. The service is amazing and each staff seem to know their knowledge on their whole menu and make decision making very easy going. The food is immaculate. First things first, the bread and BUTTER is already perfect and yummy... I love a good whip salted butter. So far my favorites from here that I've gotten would hands down be the grilled octopus with extra chimichurri sauce, so freshly made. Also the seafood pasta was perfectly creamy, filling and delicious. I'd recommend the shrimp cocktail as well as they serve large shrimp pieces with a beautiful Ice fog presentation . From the moment we walked in, the restaurant smelled absolutely amazing and had beautiful music played live by a very talented pianist. The staff was incredibly professional and welcoming, setting the tone for a fantastic experience. Our host, David, was so pleasant, and our server, Antoine, was outstanding and extremely knowledgeable and even walked us through the unique selection of steak knives to choose from, which was such a fun touch. We ordered the prix fixe menu, which can sometimes be a gamble, but it did not disappoint in the slightest. The portions were generous, and the quality and presentation were superb. I've been coming to this casino for almost 8 years, I've done this wonderful upscale steakhouse several times! Love the food and service here! The chefs that they have really put a lot of thought into the menu for their guest!! Might wanna call ahead to see if they are open to the public- as sometimes they have private buyouts as this is a popular place to host parties!! Once you arrive to the venue, the hostess will get you seated ASAP! One seated, just know that they don't rush you out of this place, so if you're in a hurry, you probably need to let your server know, and you also wanna make sure you have enough time to enjoy your dinner here! (oh yeah, PS they have a brunch here too. That is amazing!) When you're seated, I'm not sure if anybody notices but they actually measure and perfect every piece of silverware and glassware on the table. Everything has its perfect placement there like it's a 5 Star Michelin restaurant! Forgot to mention if you have to wait a little bit for your table to get ready, you can hop on over to the bar. This was large enough that the two of us ate it, and I'm sure third person could've ate it as well Specialties Côte De Boeu, it's 100.00 and you're getting a large 30 oz. Prime Bone in Ribeye Steak, Sliced and Served on a Hot Sizzle Platter with Herb Infused Hot Clarified Butter (Pair With Alexander Valley Vineyards Cabernet - $13) Our food didn't take too long to come out, and it all came out in order. Salad first with appetizer and then the steak. I actually typically like to do dessert first and a salad last, but I had forgot to ask in advance to change the order. Everything about this place is always amazing! All the servers are very friendly, sweet, and it's a classy place! The food is always on point! I've also gotten food to go as well! If I could review this place 20 times I would! Couple of tips if you want to check out there pretty bar and all their different alcohols that they carry! Once you get your menu and order, There's also a full bar with some of the best bartenders in San Diego! Make sure to ask for Scotty or anyone else on the team, they are all awesome! They have a really wide selection of all sorts of alcohol, and especially the top shelf brands! I forgot to mention that there's a beautiful wall of a ton of wine when you first walk in, it goes all the way up to the high ceilings! There's also private back room that can close off so you can have a dinner party there as well. Sometimes they have a piano player, or jazz, singers, or violinist, and once in a while, they have a DJ. Lastly, I wanted to mention how much I love the lighting in there as well! It's not too dim we can't read your menu and see things, and it's not too bright white lights where they're coming down on you like a spotlight! It's just perfect. A solid steakhouse that has been very much above average on my visits. Charcuterie plates, steaks, sides, soups and salads have all been very good. Service can be a little slow at times, but one thing I did notice was the bread guy comes out right away and delivers the plate of rustic breads and fresh soft butter. I honestly haven't been to more than a handful of steakhouses, but being at a casino I somehow felt that they are just a slight cut below. That being said, I haven't navigated the menu much and it does change by season. The last visit we shared the Argentina themed platter, and it was pretty impressive and even took a little home. The strip steak was very tender and moist even the next day reheated! We came a long time ago when it was actually a different name, maybe when it was Hollywood Casino. They were getting a subsidy back then from Tropicana Las Vegas Casino. Not a noticeable difference now. We were considering ordering another drink but the waiter took really long and by that time we decided not to. So there's that. Usually there is a jazz guy playing the piano for nice background music while you dine. It's not loud, very mellow and fits the theme perfectly of the restaurant. Good ambiance. Definitely would like to try more things here, and I know we'll be back with hopes that we won't be left waiting extended periods to order extra drinks and/or close our bill. read more

Good service and an awesome lobster buffet brunch for a fair price! We came into this brunch with zero expectations to avoid being disappointed if we didn't enjoy it. Well, I enjoyed it! We were debating on the lobster buffet here and 100s in Mission Valley and I'm so glad we chose to come here. I never waited in the lobster line for more than a few minutes and each time, I was given multiple lobsters; once I even got 6! There are 2 types of lobster, steamed and I think lightly fried since there is a light batter on it. I tried some other things and enjoyed everything. The selection is pretty small though. The prime rib and shrimp cocktail are good. The crab legs are also good but aren't split in half like other casinos so it was difficult to get very much of the crabmeat out. We just started coming to Jamul Casino, and after our 2nd visit, we got invited to try Prime Cut Steakhouse to use our comps. We made reservations for Saturday at 5pm and there weren't too many people seated or waiting. I do want to mention that the parking structure gets CHAOTIC on busy days/nights. We were 10min. late to our reservation because of the parking structure being packed, and there being limited spots available. Thank goodness we had cell service in the structure, I was able to call the restaurant and let them know the issue. They were very accommodating, and completely understood (they have a hard time finding parking too). After entering the Casino, we made a direct path towards the restaurant. The entrance looks a little downplayed... but that may be the look they were going for so it looks more exclusive, but if you're not looking closely for it, you may just pass it up. After you check-in with the lovely hosts, they will escort you in and let me tell you...It.Is.Beautiful! The entrance does not do the inside justice...a huge window looking out towards a gorgeous landscape, and the romance aspect is 10/10!! This was perfect, because we were celebrating our anniversary! Our waitress quickly greeted us, gave us some bread/butter and took our orders. We went with the bone marrow appetizer, rib-eye steak with lobster, and the Wagyu Steak. EVERYTHING was delicious and cooked perfectly! The flavors were wonderfully balanced and not overpowering at all. After we ate, they brought over a surprise anniversary cake! AND it was SOOOOO good! The brussel sprouts got dropped on the way to our table and had to be remade. They were still semi raw and hard when they were remade- not crunchy and good like you want them to be. Then we cut into our steaks and we had both asked for medium cook and neither had any pink in them. They got sent back. When the next steaks returned, they were closer to our preferred cook BUT they were purple/grey on the inside as if the meat was days old or previously frozen. I ate a few bites but couldn't bring myself to finish it. The mashed potatoes were fine although needed salt. And the sauces that they offer were pretty good. We won't be back. read more

Prime Delmonico Bone-In Ribeye served on a Himalayan Salt Block accompanied with a mix of vegetables, we added asparagus and baked potatoe. It was delicious! The ambience and service is exceptional here. My sister and I split the crabcake salad and it was still a ginormous portion. Plus the dressing was light and balanced. Crab cake didn't have a lot of filler which was another positive. We also split the bison ribeye and I couldn't get over how large of a portion it was. Even splitting it, my sister had an entire dinner the next day. The only reason they lost a star is that the vegetables and the purée that the bison came with were not warm. Prime Cut Sunday Seafood Buffet, located in Jamul Casino is definitely the buffet to go to! Reservations are highly recommended! I overheard the host mention to a group of 8 people, they do not take walk-ins. With your players' card depending on your level, they do offer a discount! So don't forget your player's card. Customer service is top notch from the host to our server Mr. Antione. It is not a large buffet but, it is an amazing selection for what they do offer! Lobster tail two ways, King crab legs (already split), snow crab legs (chilled or hot), prawns, oysters on the half shell, and prime rib are the main selections. They also offer breakfast items, salads, soup, desserts, other hot dishes and an omelet station. They also have a full bar (not included in the price of buffet). Inside or balcony dining is available. We only had one downfall; we were not informed there is a time limit for large groups! Our server was kind to let us stay and additional half hour since we were not informed at the beginning of our arrival. BEWARE...large groups have a time limit of 90 minutes! We did feel cheated a bit as we didn't get a chance to eat from the dessert area. I am not sure what amount they consider a large group but, we were a party of 8. This place is always impeccably sleek & clean. They have a limited time schedule they are open. W-SAT open @5 pm til 10ish. SUN 10 am to 3 pm for lobster buffet brunch only. I have been there on numerous occasions for dinner, special events & parties. Some nights they have different types of live entertainment: singers, piano player & even an electric violin player. Their food is top tier & changes with the season. But every season their menu offers delicious steaks, seafood & other tasty dishes. Didn't understand the logic of that. Anyway, upon seating the hostess told us we had an hour to eat. Personally for a table of 5 I did not think this was a sufficient amount of time. My mother who likes to take her time eating stressed about the time too often which made the experience not so enjoyable. Also there were many seats open and by the time we left around 230pm (mind you they close around 3) the restaurant started to die down. We are seafood lovers so we came here for the lobster and crab legs. Lobster and crab were decent and prime rib was good. Your server can bring it in the back to have it cooked on the grill. Food options are limited so don't have any high expectations there. I can't even recall what other items were served because it didn't seem appealing to me, so that was skipped. Oysters to me were a hit. Definitely fresh. Took advantage of the omelet station. Nothing to really brag about. Place is really hard to get a hold of. For a week I tried calling and no one answered their phone. I called and left a vm and no return call. Reservations for open table is nonexistent. You literally have to go to the restaurant to make one. This makes me feel like they don't want your business and only care for patrons who hold a top tier players card for comps. read more

We had an amazing dinner to celebrate our mother's 89th birthday. We were visiting from out of town and chose this restaurant based on proximity to her house. I highly recommend the clam chowder, which was as good if not better than chowder from the coast of Maryland. The filet was delicious and perfectly cooked. The side dishes - mushrooms, whipped potatoes, and loaded bake potato - were great. Best of all, was our server, Antoine. This place is a hidden gem of San Diego County. My brothers and mom stumbled upon this place and told us about it. Since then, we have been coming here to celebrate family members' birthdays on a Sunday brunch. If you love lobster and AYCE, you will not regret it. What they offer is a variety of breakfast food, salad, colossal shrimp, steaks, oysters, lobster (your preference of steam or fried), etc. Both are good but preferred the fried because of the crunch. We planned on going to Jamul for a change of pace, but the Steakhouse was the primary reason we picked it over Sycuan. They were out of calamari so they doubled our lollipop chicken order for free. The chicken was sooo tender and caramelized that it could serve as it own main in any meal. As for the food. I went with the 12 oz lamb chops, that were perfectly cooked. The crust was just right and the meat was so flavorful. I could have done without the accompanying sides and went simple with mash potatoes. It was all flavorful, just busy. My gf went with the Waygu Bolognese and it was outstanding. The portion size allowed for some leftovers and it was even better the next day. Her mom and mom's bf had the 8 oz filet and shared asparagus and mashed potatoes. They raved about how fluffy and delicious the potatoes were. Their steaks were cooked to perfection and it was a fantastic dinner with no complaints. The oysters aren't the most fresh, but it's not terrible, being buffet oysters. I enjoy the fried lobster tails more than the steamed ones. The prawns are ginormous and pretty good. Amazing night out at Prime Cur steakhouse in Jamul. I started my night off with a few craft cocktails and followed that with a double of Komos reposado tequila, which paired excellently with my coute de bouf and sides. The drinks, the food, and the atmosphere were all exceptional as well as the service. The bartender Caroline killed it and she had stellar recommendations for me! Views are amazing through the wall to wall windows. Been here twice. First time during regular Sunday Lobster Brunch AYCE during dining Covid restrictions . To make sure not a fluke, second time during 2022 Xmas Sunday Lobster brunch buffet was still top notch. Post pandemic, they went back to buffet line with endless lobster tails, steam or battered deep fried (my fav). Everything was endless including high quality large king crab, snow crab bundles, baked Chilean sea bass, freshly shucked pacific coast oysters, prime rib, great salad, seafood chowder (actually tasty), nonalcoholic drinks included, and small selection of desserts (did not partake). Service - Amazing both times. They truly appreciate your patronage. Tip - go at beginning of brunch service (10:30am) to get best selection of cold seafood bar before it gets picked over. Con- probably due to labor shortage, really hard to get someone to answer call, but finally got reservation for party of 22. I loved this place!!! The ambiance was so nice and the staff were incredibly nice . I had a party of four on a Saturday night and had a great time. They had a 3-man band that played older jazz-like music, which was enjoyable to listen to. The views into the valley from the windows were spectacular. The food was the best part. I had a filet mignon, my husband had porkchops, and my cousins shared a tomahawk. All were so delicious!!! The hit was the smoking oysters! It's been one of the best casino steakhouses we've been to in San Diego. The casino did take my money, which wasn't the best. Lost over 1500. read more

We used to come to eat at Prime Cut quite often before the pandemic but hadn't come for sometime. Today, we decided to come for Easter brunch. It did not disappoint! The best thing of the brunch is the seafood, all the crab, shrimp, oysters and lobster you can eat. They have an omelette station, meat carving station, dessert bar, salads, etc. The other great aspect of the brunch was our waiter Manny Martinez. He was WONDERFUL! This review is for poor marketing and a lack of communication!! Made reservations for this nite (Valentine's Day) My girlfriend and I came a few years back for my birthday and the food/service and ambiance was amazing!! I wanted to surprise my girlfriend tonight and so I went online and made reservations for two, when we got here they only had a "Valentines menu" with nothing we really wanted and only a specific items for tonight! Are here last night and their food, drinks, service were absolutely great! My steak came the way I like it, it tasted great, it was juicy and a very good portion. The music is soft, not loud, you can easily carry a conversation, the place was clean and if you eat outside; the view is just amazing! The servers are very pleasant, they come around often.
