This review is for the happy hour at Bull and bourbon. Highly satisfied with the menu they have for happy hour here at bull and bourbon steakhouse. While staying here at the hotel, I found this ad for the happy hour one walking around the casino. It was on a Sunday, so we were very happy that there was a happy hour even available. The prices in the menu are absolutely fantastic. They have $10 specialty cocktails, like old-fashioned, Mojito, and more. Even though there was just one Crabb cake for the happy hour it was so good the sliders or even bigger than expected. The top it off the oyster was so delicious Can't wait to come back here again and order steak.

Early Father's Day dinner. Our server Cynthia was simply awesome. Frequently checked on us. Best lamb chops I'd ever had. We were sat close to the music, enjoyed it .

I recently dined at Bull & Bourbon and had a really great experience overall. I started with the bacon-wrapped shrimp appetizer, which was absolutely delicious -- perfectly cooked and full of flavor. For my entrée, I ordered the Delmonico ribeye cooked medium well with a side of potato soup. The steak was cooked just right, though I do think it could have used a little more salt to really bring out the flavor. I also tried a drink called "Friends with Benefits," and it did not disappoint. My server, Israel, provided excellent service. Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience. Great food, great service, and a nice atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place.

Right upon arrival as we walked through the door of the "Bull and Bourbon Steakhouse" we we're greeted and welcomed to the bar. Just a classic vibe, with jazzy music playing in the background, and pleasant people all around us. Not making time to find fault, because all restaurants are competing for attention. As a firstimer at "Bull and Bourbon Steakhouse " , I want to complement our waiter Tony and waitress Tommie for doing the best job that they could...Thank you for your attentiveness. Recommendation: Please try the Banana foster tableside when you come to "Bull and Bourbon Steakhouse".

We celebrated our 10-year wedding anniversary with dinner at Bull & Bourbon during our two-night stay at The Sycuan Casino Resort. Dinner was great, service from Cynthia was outstanding (see below), but... Our only disappointment was that no mention was made of our anniversary. No fancy message written in chocolate sauce on the cake plate or anything. This despite me checking the appropriate box in the Open Table app when making the res. Also, I made mention of it to the manager of Bull & Bourbon in a subsequent follow-up phone call. I really thought that Becky would have loved something like that. 10 years is a pretty big milestone. We booked a 5:30 reservation for seating at the bar through. We walked in and were immediately greeted and were told we could choose any seats at the bar. We sat and were greeted by our lovely bartender Cynthia. She was really friendly and a really fun bartender. We ordered drinks, a spicy margarita for Becky and a pint of Modelo for me. Becky said that Cynthia made an excellent spicy marg. For dinner we each chose the Thursday Surf & Turf three-course special. ($55) Soup or salad, steak and lobster, and chocolate cake for dessert. I ordered the soup and my steak rare. Bex had salad and medium steak. Bread service was first. Fresh, hot bread with butter and their signature Bourbon Butter. The bourbon butter is to die for! Shortly thereafter the soup and salad arrived. Fresh crisp salad with a great house made dressing. The Bull & Bourbon potato soup remains my all-time favorite. It is more cheesy potato puree topped with bacon than soup. Next were our entrees. Two petite filets cooked perfectly to our requested temps alongside small lobster tails, some roasted baby carrots and mashed potatoes. Drawn butter was on the side. For $55, this meal is a steal. Not a huge steak, nor a giant Maine lobster, but still, plenty of food and expertly cooked. Last was the cake. They were small cylinders of layered chocolate cake. Neither of us eat many sweets, but we did sample one at the table and took one to go. It was very good. Very rich and chocolaty. Great dinner, great service. A small acknowledgement would have been a nice gesture. Had to knock down a star.

We have been here twice. This was the 3rd time. Made reservations to be safe. It was our anniversary weekend. We waited a few minutes for our table which was in the front area by the bar. There was a guitarist playing music which was perfect. Emily was our waitress and bartender. She made our drinks just right(smokey old fashion and coconut margarita with hibiscus salt on rim). From the bacon wrapped shrimp to the surf and turf.. everything was tasty and well prepared.

My friend took me here for their $55 Surf& Turf special that is available on Wed and Thurs nights. It was a three course meal for $55. First course was a choice of soup or salad. The main course was with a small steak, large lobster tail, mashed potatoes, and grilled carrots. The third course was a delicious chocolate cake. They opened at 5pm and there were people already in line at that time. We sat at the bar this time so no reservations were needed. The two bartenders were busy making drinks non-stop the whole two hours we were there. Service was great and we were entertained at the same time. Will definitely come back again and sit at the bar.

Perfect steakhouse dinner spot in the casino, excellent for celebrations (saw 3 birthdays), and not to mention their great specials! It's located down the escalator from the main casino floor next to the pool and has a classy but old school steakhouse feel with deep mahogany and mood lighting. There's a nice bar in the front and seating in the back with an open kitchen, in which we had a nice view of. The wait staff here are amazing, ensuring our water was always full, with prompt and friendly service. I mentioned the specials which are prime rib Sundays and the summer special of $55 3-course steak and lobster (wed and thurs). Definitely couldn't pass this up so came on a Wednesday to get me some steak & lobster! My first course of salad with vinaigrette was actually very good especially since I'm not a huge salad person. The second course was the New York steak and lobster tail. The steak was done to just to my liking, however thought the lobster was slightly overcooked. The sides of mashed potatoes and carrots went well with the meal. The last course was the layered chocolate cake - amazing, so moist and had a little crunch. I must also mention the drinks here. A great variety of you guessed it, bourbon m, as well as other spirits, beer, wine and cocktails. This occasion I selected the Marine Layer with coconut cream and mezcal and the Oaxaca old fashioned with mole reductions. Conclusions - amazing. Aptly named and the flavors blended so well and no wonder the bar was crowded. I really enjoyed my dinner experience and will definitely come back, or maybe just for more cocktails.

CASINO STEAK (HOUSE) (4 stars) ... YOU SURPRISED ME! - FOOD: delicious - SERVICE: good - PRICE: average but if you are a casino club member you get 10% off - AMBIANCE: intimate, small, dim, live music When you barely go out but when you do you have to go shell out. I honestly haven't been to a casino with bad food... and Sycuan Casino didn't just have bar food - they have quality restaurants too. It was "bad bingo" and "casino" night and had to kill time before everyone arrived to the casino and what better way to than to eat steak before the evening ahead. The restaurant was a lot smaller than anticipated, the vibe was chill - not very packed, dim lighting, and there was a musician playing live music! COMPLIMENTARY BREAD & BUTTER - free carbs, say less! The bread was fresh and chewy. The butter had a sweet taste, an over-dabble of honey flavor. I prefer my butter to basic plain butter and the sweetness was throwing me off. It wasn't bad but it's not something I'd crave. FILET MIGNON ($49) - petite 8oz from Creekstone Farms. You can never go wrong with a filet mignon! I had it medium-well and it was still tender. You can taste the quality of the meat. It came with a half of a roasted garlic. Was this decoration? Was this for spreading? Was I to eat it? I ended up picking at it and it was tasty. Tasted better when spread on bread. HIGHLY RECOMMEND SALAD - the meal was served with a side salad or soup. It was a refreshing and beautiful salad with some mix greens but the arugula was bold in the mix. The dressing perfectly coated the salad. OYSTER BAY SAUVIGNON BLANC ($15/glass) - yes red wine pairs better with steak. But I really enjoy a good dry white wine with any meal. They didn't have any whites from France and I settled with a recommended one that was dry. It was dry, crisp, and some light fruity notes. Easy to take and gave me a light buzz. HIGHLY RECOMMEND I'd def be back! Until the next review...

Steak & Lobster. Lobster so chewy, I didn't finish it
    Mister R.

Welp, all the yelp foodies let me down on this one. Given it was a steak house and it had 4 stars. I figured it was gonna be good. Started off with the crab cakes. These tasted frozen, not fresh. And the sauce was lacking. I've have other crab cakes where I fight the wife for the last bite. This trip was solo and I was looking at the second crab cake like "should I leave it or force it down?" 3 stars and that's being generous I decided to go for the $116 steak and lobster. Lobster was HUGE but not fresh. Maybe Australian Rock Lobster? It didn't say and it was a bit chewy and tough. I did show up an hour before closing so maybe that's why it sucked but that's not an excuse. The melted butter tasted like fake butter. I might as well have dipped it in Mobile 1 10w-30. Lobster gets a 1.5 star The steak was decent, but like Chilis Bar & Grill Decent. I would have taken a steak from Cheesecake Factory over this one. 3 stars just because it was paired with a lobster that set the bar so low. Over all my bill (I ate alone) was $147 and after tip came out to $180. This is one of the few times I feel like I got robbed. The waitress comes back and says "you want a to go box for the rest of the lobster?" And I wanted to tell her "nah, throw that shit in the trash!" But I just said "no thank you". If a customer leaves half the lobster tail and some meat behind, you gotta assume it wasn't that good. I paid for the entire thing but I was thinking "if she removes some of the stuff from my bill or offers a military discount, I'll double her tip". Well she didn't.

Came back to Bull & Bourbon for their iconic prime rib deal, and it was just as amazing as I remembered--so much so that I brought my family here for Mother's Day! It was such a sweet treat, and the whole experience felt special from start to finish. Daniel, our server, was phenomenal--super attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel genuinely cared for. He walked us through the cocktails, wine specials, and even gave tips on the best way to enjoy our prime ribs. Dinner ran smoothly, and every dish was delicious. Even as the restaurant got busier toward the end of our two-hour meal, our water glasses stayed full and the bread plate never empty--it's the little things that make a difference. Pro tip: Don't forget to show your Sycuan card for a discount! The prime rib deal is seriously one of the best values around. Can't wait to return for another unforgettable meal!

We ate here twice in one weekend while staying at Sycuan Casino & Resort. I highly recommend sitting at the bar. Cocktails were beautifully prepared and delicious and we ate dinner at the bar on our first visit as well. The steaks were fantastic and the prices are very reasonable. The creamed spinach was insane and we actually made friends with the couple next to us just discussing how delicious it was! We also had a gorgeous beet salad, grilled mushrooms and Mac n cheese. It was all epic. I drank lovely well priced wine the on our second visit. It's great to get a fantastic red at a good price point for a restaurant. The baked potatoes are huge and wonderful too. If you find yourself at Sycuan definitely go here! The bartenders are so good with great service and the restaurant has a comfortable steak house vibe.

Top Recommendation! If you're looking for beautiful, aged steaks and a wide selection of wines then this is the place. The boys from the base quickly noticed the open kitchen where it is spotless. Just spotless and maintained to perfection. A restaurant that shows an open kitchen has nothing to hide. The New Zealand Lamb was probably the best I've ever had. Rich is flavor, a beautiful sear, and well seasoned. The staff and management were exceptionally polite and well knowledge of the menu. If you want recommendations from the staff they know their way around the menu.

I had the lobster bisque at its sister restaurant Island Prime a long time ago and remember the lobster flavor being punchier. As for the burger, you can taste quality in the patty. My friends both had the scallops entree & I had a bite of the scallops which was tender too. We were too full to attempt dessert but maybe next time.

A huge thank you to Charlene, who was such a wonderful host. She went out of her way to find a seat for us and made us feel so welcomed from the moment we arrived. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and even shared some history about the hotel with us, which made the experience feel even more special. Charlene made our night unforgettable!! Our server, Antonio, was also fantastic and gave amazing recommendations. We ordered the Parker House rolls to start, along with the prime filet and the halibut Veracruz. The halibut was honestly one of the best fish dishes I've ever had, it literally melted in your mouth. I'm usually not even a huge fish person, but Antonio mentioned how fresh it was, and he was absolutely right. Overall, the food, service, and ambiance were all incredible.

Share an appetizer- we picked passion fruit shrimp cocktail which was 8 large poached shrimp with a passion fruit forward cocktail sauce and a charred lemon. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the charred lemon added a nice touch. We each picked an entree of the 2 offered - Ginger Glazed Wild Salmon and Grilled ribeye. The salmon was on top of couscous with baby grilled zucchini. The salmon had crispy skin and was fork tender just flaked right off and was very flavorful. The rib eye was grilled medium and covered in a peppercorn demi gravy that was so luxurious. I was half tempted to lick the plate. The pesto baby golden potatoes were like individual servings of mashed potatoes which paired nicely with the rib eye and charred asparagus. Share the dessert - Raspberry Chocolate Bombe- was expecting more chocolate than the 2 small heart shaped cookies which did not have a forward chocolate taste but more of a sugar cookie feel. The "bombe" was Raspberry ish mousse covered in a firm Raspberry jelly on top of a thin butter wafer/cookie with fresh strawberries and blueberries which were tossed in sugar. Every course was brought out timely and the presentation of each dish was exquisite. Everything was well seasoned and the appropriate temperature right down to the chilled plate and spoons for dessert. Plenty of seating and service was impeccable. Definitely will be returning WITH RESERVATIONS lesson learned.

Had such a great dinner tonight at Mediterraneo in Alpine!…read more We started with a few appetizers and honestly...they were the highlight. The MELENZANE RIPIENE (eggplant stuffed with ricotta, parmesan, and cherry tomatoes) was incredible: rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The calamari fritti was crispy and delicious, and the TONNO ASIATICO (seared ahi tuna with sweet chili glaze, ginger, teriyaki, and wasabi) was a huge hit at the table. We also had to try their house-made mozzarella sticks, don't skip these...the cheese pull alone is worth it For the mains, we had the CAPELLINI ALLA CHECCA and the RIGATONI ALLA NORMA, and both were fantastic. You can really taste the difference, the pasta is imported from Italy, and it shows in the texture and flavor. My husband also ordered the margherita pizza and said it's the best he's ever had, which says a lot! The space itself is big, welcoming, and super versatile. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, plus a large bar with a full menu. We tried a couple drinks from their spring menu: the pistachio espresso martini and the berry margarita both were so fun and tasty. The staff was also incredibly friendly and attentive, which really made the whole experience even better. Bonus: they have a great family-friendly area with arcade games and a pool table, which makes it perfect whether you're going out as a couple or with a group. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to!
