Prime Exterminators actually subcontract out their fumigation to Best Fumigation, a great company from Fremont. Best Fumigation was really OUTSTANDING, professional in every way. Although, I did have some problems with Prime Exterminators. They were responsible for repairing termite damaged wood, patching, and priming the areas. Their man did a less than satisfactory job in every way. We were not happy with his work at all. I immediately reported the problems to their office and eventually spoke with the owner who assured me that they would take care of it, and they did. They insisted that they would make it right and do whatever was needed. Most companies can have a problem now and then, but it is how they resolve those problems that separate the good from the bad. Not only did he do a thorough inspection but also educated us on many options and how to prevent future termites like closing gaps, making sure there is no exposed wood (ie cover with paint), look for leaks under house since termites like wet dirt, not dry, etc etc etc. Very informative. We had had several other inspectors at our property, but when Pat came thru he found issues that the other groups had overlooked. He was very honest about all the options available, and clearly explained the tradeoffs. Even though we initially didn't want to tent, he convinced us it was the right way to go. Based on all that was found during the repairs, it was definitely the correct decision. Pat was very reliable, professional and highly focused on making the customer happy. As with any situation there are always issues that come up - in all cases Pat went the extra mile and made sure that he covered those issues and that we were happy. Recently found evidence of termites in my garage and called Prime Exterminators based on great Yelp reviews and wasn't disappointed. They were fast, efficient, and pretty much did exactly what was needed with a minimum of fuss or bother. A few emails to get the job set up, read and sign a form, schedule an appointment. Guys were scheduled to tent my garage between 8 AM and 10 AM on a Saturday, they arrived at 8:00 AM sharp and completed the whole tenting process in less than two hours and I still had my Saturday intact! I was traveling that week, they came back and took the tent down and cleaned up the following Tuesday so that when I came home later that week it was all done and everything was in good shape. Dan, the inspector, spent nearly three hours going in, around, and under the house. He provided a wealth of information on termite infestation and discovered evidence of drywood termites in addition to the subterranean termites that had been previously discovered and dealt with. He looked at my house and told me I had beetles, not termites and that the beetles wouldn't do any wood damage and would die naturally within a few days. No need to fumigate! Could have easily lied to me and I'd have believed it or he could have charged me a service fee for taking an hour of his time, but he did NOT! I had termite damage in the walkway to my front door, so I decided to have an inspection done. I am very happy with the results I obtained with Prime Exterminators. All contact with the office manager (Mary) was accurate, timely and courteous. The inspector (Don) came to the house exactly when stated he would, and he performed a very through inspection. Don even found a black widow nest near my front door with egg sacks that were almost ready to hatch. He would have gladly taken care of it if I had some insect spray. Since I didn't, he gave me very detailed instructions on how to deal with the nest. I repaired the walkway but the termite tracks entered a structural member that enters the house wall, so Don came back out (again exactly when scheduled) to review the evidence and decide on a course of action. Because of some other evidence, we decided on a fumigation. The instructions on how to prepare for the fumigation were very explicit and helpful. Mary answered all of my additional questions with the kindness and professionalism that I greatly appreciate. Mega Fume did the fumigation, and again everything was done exactly the way it was explained, and exactly on time. The Mega Fume workers were very courteous and they treated my home with great care. Mary kept me posted on the fumigation status so I knew when I could return to the property and I knew that everything was taken care of properly. The only blip was that I didn't know there was a credit card fee, but Mary gave me the option of paying by check instead. This is understandable. I am extremely happy with the results, and I would highly recommend Prime to anyone. read more

We have termites so called a couple of services. We stumbled on Don at Prime Exterminators. He is one of the inspectors. Prime Exterminators charges nothing to come out and inspect. All other companies had a minimum of $125.00 to come out. It didn't take Don 15 minutes to look, inspect and tell us the problem. Although he recommended tenting for a house more than ten years, which our house is, he gave us several other tips to hold off the termites until we can get it tented. I wouldn't even consider another company now, simply because Don was so knowledgeable and even more than that, just plain honest. What a great company. I would like to add, Don called us one half hour before coming, telling us he was going to be at our house. What a great service. read more

Have you noticed as you read the exterminator reviews that most of the high ratings for a otherwise poorly rated company are coming from real estate agents, and the positive reviews are usually about how fast the company responded but not really about the quality of work? I realized as I read them that I, as the home owner, has very different priority than SOME of the agents (I had a great agent). Just something to think about... I Just finished using Prime for some termite issue. The entire engagement was great. While I haven't seen anyone mention her, Mary, their office manager has been beyond great to work with. She was pretty much my point of contact throughout this process and she was patient, responsive and informative. I only wish every business I deal with had a "Mary" who can help you through the process. They are very reasonably priced and offered a lot of suggestions to help me save $$$ in the longer term. I can't speak to whether they are successful in killing the termite just yet since they just finished the work, but based on the carcasses on the ground, their warranty, and how I was treated, I would highly recommend Prime Exterminators. But don't take my word for it. Look around all the other exterminator reviews and you'll find that the ratings are generally poor. Prime has consistently high ratings and I'm glad I followed Yelps review and turned to these guys for my needs. I had 3 different termite companies to come inspect for termites so I can compare quote. The first two told me that there is evidence of termite and the infestation is likely active, then Don from Prime came. He was friendly and knowledgeable, he told us there is no active termite because he was very sure the "evidence" the other two found is old. He went on and explained that the fact there is no spider webs shows that the soil was treated by a chemical (I forgot the name) used 20 or 30 years ago, it lasts forever and it will keep most of the insects out. Don saved me a thousand dollars (since that's what the other two companies quoted me) and I would like to thank him for his honest opinion and his professionalism. I was impressed with Don Sellers as he was honest and not trying to just sell his business. He did a limited inspection. He gave very valuable information about dry wood, subterranean, and formosan termites, what their colony cycles are, where do they live, and what types of treatment works best.
