I visited Prime One Eleven for my birthday dinner and was highly impressed by several things. First, in light of COVID, it was a very safe environment with waiters and kitchen staff wearing masks and tables inside socially distanced. Our waiter was extremely friendly and took great care of us during our entire stay. The food was excellent. We ordered appetizers which included this amazing shrimp dish, smoked bacon, guacamole and even the wings were great. For my entree, I ordered the steak frites which were really good. Other entrees ordered included the ribs which came out in a huge portion and the salmon dish. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals and takeout boxes were needed! Finally, they sang me happy birthday. The candle they used did not need to be blown out, which I thought was extremely smart in the times we're in. I don't live close, but I definitely see myself having to pay Prime One Eleven a visit again very soon. read more

I am rating this restaurant based on my brief stint here. Prior to calling this restaurant, we were advised we did not need reservations. My wife and I proceeded into the establishment and asked to be seated for two people. The waitress advised me she couldn't seat us because she had too many reservations for the night. At first I thought she was joking so I proceeded to laugh. I looked in the main room of the establishment which is very big. I counted three tables filled with several tables open. This also does not count the back room. But after she advised she was not joking, I quickly exited the restaurant. If you cannot sit two people at 530 PM because you have too many reservations for the entire night yet have a wide open restaurant, I don't need to come back. As well as, they had advised us 15 mins prior that we did not need a reservation. read more

My husband and I had an impromptu day date and decided to give Prime One Eleven a try. We were intrigued by the pre- fixe lunch menu. When we arrived it wasn't too busy. The hostess seemed confused about where to put us though. We were seated promptly. Our waiter was nice enough. I don't think he introduced himself. I felt like we were polite but low on his priority list. We never had our waters refilled and he didn't check on us during our meal. The food came out hot, tasted good and in reasonable amount of time. Portions were surprising generous. We opted for the gelato and 2 cappuccinos afterwards which ended up bringing our bill to about $100 but we had two alcoholic beverages so I guess cappuccinos cost about the same.... Sure? Unfortunately, we will not be going to this restaurant any longer after we were informed that the restaurant let a very devoted staff member go. This employee was the ONLY reason we ate there, and they had years of experience and built strong relationships with customers. The atmosphere has changed and it's no longer the same restaurant. I am so happy that I found Prime One Eleven! I stay in Trumbull for work quite often, and have found that there are limited restaurants outside of the mall area (there are only so many times I can eat at Cheesecake Factory - let's be honest). Prime One Eleven is great and has an extensive menu. On top of that, the space is huge and has plenty of room for large groups. Our server was extremely accommodating with our large group, and we were all very happy with our orders. We absolutely will be coming back! read more

The restaurant was very busy (especially for a Wednesday night) but the service was not impared in any way. Food was delicious. The steak tips were to the proper temperature. Went there as a family of four. The service was excellent given how busy they were. Food was very good and server was very accommodating in arranging easy sharing of dishes. we would go there again, except that when we go out we would like to hear one another speak and not get deafened by the rowdy crowd. I feel really indifferent about this place. I really don't have anything to negative to say about this establishment, but some things could of been a little better. Our waiter was great, he had a lot of tables and he tried to be as attentive as possible. The service was on the slower end, and it took awhile to get things started with our drinks, bread, and appetizers. I got the bread bowl chowder with lobster, and we also got the habanero wings. The wings were decent, different than your traditional buffalo wings. They might of been baked as well, I am not sure. They were definitely different though. The bread bowl chowder was okay, there was not that much "chowder" or maybe it just all got absorbed in the bread. But I would of liked a bigger portion in a normal bowl to really get all the flavors down. Now to the steak. Which is the only reason me and my Dad came here. They have Tomahawk steaks. Me and my family love steaks and we definitely know and can appreciate the quality of a great steak. I would give the steak a 7/10. It was cooked very well. I always get my steaks medium. No complaints there. But I feel it could of been seasoned a tad more, to really just add another dimension to the beef. Overall it was a cool experience. Staff was awesome...i don't know if they trained them during the covid closure, but they were right on. The food was good...not amazing, not $200 for 2 steaks, a lobster roll and burger good, but that's what it cost. My problem with the NY strip was that it was so salty, it was almost inedible. The food was good. it was about 7 other birthdays when I was there and they still managed to come out and sing happy birthday to everyone including me. Much appreciated. I will be back. The food is always good but unfortunately tonight the service set us over the edge. We set a reservation for 8pm and didn't sit until we approached the stand a second time at 8:50. There were multiple paid tables with their leftovers packed on their tables sitting and sipping water. Hostess and waitstaff had little if any interest in approach in trying to encourage them to move out. We weren't offered a drink or anything outside of "we have 4 tables that are paid that we're waiting on" which is frustrating when we are paying for a sitter at home and splitting a $400 tab amongst two couples. We were still eating our appetizer, and the waiter came over and asked if he could take it away. One minute later a bus boy was sent over to ask the same question. This establishment has racist employees. My spouse and I just left. Today is 1/20/2023 at 10:55 pm. The waiter next to our table was taking shots with the patrons and said "this is a white gummy bear shot. Completely appalled, we stopped eating and I asked a waitress who the manager was so we can explain what just happened. The seafood was a joke- tiny chunks of over cooked and rubbery shrimp, calamari, and shellfish, like the kind that's $3 in a frozen bag at Shoprite. There was also less than one whole scallop, which had been both sliced and chopped. Have been a huge fan of Prime since it opened years ago and it never disappoints! The owners do their due diligence in hiring personable, funny and knowledgeable staff. They have a solid tap list with great local (and not) crafts and some standard favorites. The food is high end American - steaks, pastas, burgers, seafood, etc... If you're a seafood lover - make sure you hit the happy hour raw bar ($10 all you can eat!!) and try the lobster and/or out of your shell roll! The steaks are pricey, but worth it... and there are quite a few unique menus items that you don't want to miss (philly cheese egg rolls, prime pho, and "pigs on a wire"). I would NEVERRR RECOMMEND coming here. I went to prime 111 yesterday with my fiancé and had a decent (over priced) meal only to be kicked out by the manager who shared "we needed to scaddattle as soon as possible". My bill was just about $300 and we had just paid the bill 5 minutes before. We were the only couple at the restaurant who were asked to leave. (I have my own beliefs why). I replied back that I've never been asked to leave a restaurant before. His response was condescending and patronizing even going so far as to change his tone of voice. I cannot express enough how much I would never recommend anyone to come here. It is unfortunate because I had several people reach out to me on social media wanting to know where I was after posting the food we ordered. I will not be recommending them to go here.
