I liked this place for its quiet environment on a Thursday night to meet up with friends for long talks and reunion. The service quality was very attentive and friendly all around. Unfortunately, the meat quality was not as good as a steakhouse should be. I ordered the trio at chef's recommendation of temperature - medium rare. All steakhouses are the same - up class interiors, comfy seats, steaks that have been properly prepared and the slight hint of a place where you need a membership - ya know, pretentious. Well, not so fast. Prime Steakhouse isn't like that. It's more like that bbq place with the peanuts on the floor, except without the peanuts on the floor. This was our third visit to Prime and it was just as delicious as the first two times. Ordered: charcuterie plate to share and each got filet mignon medium rare with potatoes dauphinouise. Steak was expertly done and melted in the mouth. Potatoes were next level savory, cheesy goodness. We were so full we didn't make it to dessert. There were veggie options for those looking to avoid carbs. Spinach, asparagus, rainbow carrots and I believe brussel sprouts. We tried Prime Steakhouse for lunch last week. We split a prime rib dip and a spinach salad. The spinach was very fresh, and the dressing delicious. The pecans were extra large and very tasty. Went for Valentine's Day. 10/10 service- made us feel like VIP. Only reason for 4 is a bit overpriced. Prime stroganoff was one of the best things I have ever eaten. Came in here for happy hour since Matador was super busy. Honestly didn't expect much but glad we made a stop in. Ordered the steak sandwich and burger. Great value during happy hour. Food came out quick and hot. The bread on the sandwich has great crisp and the dash of horseradish really accentuates the flavors of the steak. I ordered the burger medium and that was honestly the juiciest burger I've ever had. Took a bite and juice squirted through the toothpick hole in the burger. Redmond was overdue for a Steakhouse. The restaurant is conveniently located and has great parking. The inside looks like a classic steakhouse. The servers are nice and very present. The only issue is that Prime doesn't seem to have a good air/vent system so you will end up smelling like food after you leave. Now to the food: The prawn appetizers is wonderful. Cooked to perfection. The steak skewers dish is a good substitute if you are not sure which steak to pick but beware: the dish is BIG. I ordered the 8.oz tenderloin and I asked for a Medium cook. It was definitely a little bit under but it wasn't all that bad. The potato gratin is to die for - very delicious and not too garlic-y. Over all experience was good. Great restaurant! I usually come for the late night happy hour (9 PM - Close) with my friends. What's great about happy hour is that you can sit anywhere in the restaurant, you aren't limited to just the bar. Foods we love: Steak tenderloin bites with taro root chips (I ask for no lemon grass because it feels fuzzy to me, they bring you dipping sauces as substitution), Prime burger and sides of fries that are served in a soup bowl because the serving is so large. I also liked the Tenderloin trio, It was delicious but I was not expecting the one with crab to be cold with a cooler piece of meat while the other two flavor profiles were served hot. Really nice atmosphere and staff, It's a smaller restaurant with not a lot of parking but if you go over one block there is lots of free street parking that is usually open. read more

I was really looking forward to our meal. To start we were seated in a dark cramped back room . More like an old store room. We had made a reservation and asked if we could be seated more upfront since there were some open tables. They wouldnt accommodate. It was reserved for a larger group. ? A 4 top... The table stayed empty during our entire meal Next because the back room was so crowded it was hard to hear. The server was ok but had to talk loud to be heard. Drinks were ok. The deviled egg app pretty bland. The fresh bread was dry sour dough. I got a filet minon oscar style. The aspargus were under cooked and the crab tasted weird. Steak was ok. Mash potates were good. I took it home to be polite and noticed the oscar sauce was pink. They had used salmon. Spoke with the manager the next day, he said they had to use chilian crab no dungeness available. A no it was salmon pink. I pitched it. Didnt bother with dessert. Very disappointing for the cost. I dont mind paying if its enjoyable. Felt more like the back room of a pub instead of a nice steak dinner for 4. I would not go back. Which is a bummer because we had liked their brunch.. Wanted to try a new steakhouse restaurant, and heard from a friend about this place. I had high hopes because of all the great reviews. However, for the price vs quality I doubt I'll return. The service was a bit lacking, took some time for our drinks and forgot to give us our bread. Our main dish sat under the heated lamps for too long or something, because it was over done and not the best. We had the ribeye, which was fine but our lobster tail was very over cooked, and our side twice back potatoes was dry. I'll go to Jak's before heading back here. I would definitely recommed this restaurant and would have given a better rating but the baked potato was a hug disappointment. I've worked in restaurants and can safely say this potato was perhaps 3 hours old. A quality restaurant doesnt keep them longer than 90 minutes tops. To me, consistency in a restaurant is just as important as the quality. This was my second time eating here and it was just as good as the first! Delicious, tender ribeye. The bone marrow is so sweet and buttery and pairs really well with the crisp of the toast. The prices are justifiable by the portion size and quality of service as well. So this place has the BEST potato sides ever. I had the twice baked potatoes which were amazing and my husband got the garlic mashed which were also amazing. I should note we both got the filet mignon which was very good as well. The bread and butter to start was soooooo good!!! We also enjoyed happy hour with a sangria or two! The only reason I did not give 5 stars was due to the bathroom. The toilets were both in need of some serious care and cleaning. I think someone needs to make a checklist or even an hourly check on bathroom cleanliness. This was my second visit to Prime within a month . Both visits were for an intimate birthday dinner. Summer was our server and she was awesome! Unfortunately I feel the steaks were undercooked. We did read and understand your cooking guidelines, my boyfriend asked for well done I believe and it had more pink than a little. Summer took the steak back and it was cooked a bit more and it was better. My tenderloin had more pink than I wanted but I was okay with it. This is the unfortunate part we dined on Saturday and early Sunday morning both myself and boyfriend had gastric distress so to speak. We had not eaten anything else besides the Prime meal. Maybe a strange coincidence. Last visit in October There was not any gastric issues what so ever! I want to be fair, I want to also be honest about our experience. The service was excellent! We enjoyed the time spent at restaurant . The distress not so much! Maybe something was not right on Nov 6th in the kitchen. I don't know, it is just odd we both felt really bad. We've been coming here since they first opened. We consider this to be one of those steak restaurant that you go to on special occasions. We've literally have tried everything on there menu and the only thing we've found not to like is the Brussel sprout. They need to cook them longer because we've ordered them twice and both times they were so hard to eat. Other than that, it's a fun place to come. And depending on which bartender is working. We're visiting Seattle for our anniversary & this was the spot we chose for our special dinner. We had been out all day, so driving a lot wasn't ideal. Instead, we opted to stay near our hotel. Parking was easy & the restaurant offered complimentary validation, which was a nice touch. Once inside, we were seated promptly by the hostess. Our server, Teasha, was pleasant, efficient and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered crab cakes as an appetizer and they were scrumptious! I also ordered a Sangria cocktail and it was perfect- not too strong. The main course - Wagyu Beef with garlic potatoes for me and a Caesar Salad with grilled Salmon for my hubby, was good and overall, we enjoyed the experience. One downside, for which I deducted a star, was the ambience. The restaurant was like a sports bar meets romantic venue and the table nearest to us was really loud. It just wasn't the most ideal for an anniversary dinner (probably shouldn't market this restaurant as a romantic spot, which is how we found it). Also, when I made the reservation, I mentioned our anniversary and asked for an intimate table placement. We were seated in the back, literally right by the exit door. Again, not the most ideal location. Ultimately, we were celebrating each other and so made the best of it and had a nice time. While the meal was good, it was not earth shattering and the ambience wasn't the romantic setting we were expecting. For these reasons, I'm sure this will be our one and only visit. read more
