I felt like staff checked on us, but was not overly attentive. Perfect!! We had the Percy potatoes (so good and the perfect crunch) and the sugar snap pea appetizers ( wish the menu would have stated the peas are served cold- my husband loved, but I don't like cold sugar snaps) For our main I had the chicken, mash and asparagus. All 10/10 and you could really taste the smoke of the oven. My husband had the sticky ribs and he said some of the best he's ever had! We finished off our meal with a delicious slice of carrot cake.

They are in a nondescript spot and we almost walked by but thank God we didn't. From the friendly hostess to the attentive waitress to the excellent food, it was a place worth visiting. We started with their spinach artichoke dip with house-made fermented hot sauce (spicy, tangy and delicious). Then I ordered their phenomenal short rib pasta and my wife had a salad that could have fed both of us. The vibe of Percy is a mix of business professional and casual lunch with friends. The music was classics and the decor is refined with huge windows to view the surroundings. If you are ever in the Boise area, I would recommend you get to Percy. It will be worth it.

While the price point here is higher than a typical date night for us, our experiences have always been worth the price tag. The staff is attentive and offers great recommendations. The table side guacamole is a must. So good and they tailor it to your requested spice level. Be warned, it is enough guac to feed a table of 6. So good. The Firerock entree is a crowd pleaser, and tastes amazing. You can't beat the experience of it getting flambéed at your table. I've also tried various cocktails and have never been disappointed. They serve their martinis in an ice glass (yes the glass is made of 100% ice). The presentation is so fun. This is definitely our go to for special date nights.

Reservations are strongly recommended especially the weekend, but usually for the nicer months, most people go for the patio so reservations are mandatory for that. Indoors were pretty empty so you can probably get away with walking in, but for peace of mind, I would recommend a reservation. We went on a Saturday during mid May so people were celebrating Mother's Day and graduation, so we had to make a reservation a month in advance for that dinner service. We got the BBQ duck quesadilla, tableside guacamole, and the signature hot rock filet with a side of zucchini chips sprinkled with cheese. This was more than enough for 2 people as every dish is huge. The quesadilla is delicious, with a good amount of duck. Kind of similar experience to a BBQ chicken quesadilla, but fancier. Tableside guacamole is good - lots of guac but since we were seated outside with a beautiful lake view directly, there were steps so it was not possible to see the guacamole prepared tableside. The server should have mentioned it as we wanted to see the preparation, and we were never informed as such so the premium for the appetizer was not as worthwhile. The hot rock filet was good. I loved the fire show when they pour the mix of cognac peppercorn sauce. The steak was incredibly high quality - really juicy and not much tendon. This is the type of steak I have been seeking in many restaurants that fail to deliver. The zucchini chips side was good, a little flimsy on the batter, but nonetheless satisfying. We got cocktails that were icetinis - a glass with an ice shaped like the glass. They pour a small portion of the drink on the glass and left the rest in the cocktail shaker for us to pour gradually so that the drink is not as diluted, which is a good touch. Service can be improved - I understand the server is fairly new but there should be a minimal amount of experience to serve at such a high end restaurant? Some big misses I had were not giving shared plates until we asked, covering a bit of the show with the arm when pouring the fire cognac, and when requesting the check, he took a pause to place the receipt at the table but failed to see that he placed the check on top of some guac we dropped at the table so my credit cards after payment were incredibly sticky and oily. If people are dropping hundreds for a nice experience, I expected service to be better than that.

What a phenomenal place to eat in Boise…read more Brickyard is at the top of my list of dinner places in the Treasure Valley. The service is phenomenal, with the staff taking a "team approach" to serving tables. What that meant for us was several people checking in, filling waters, removing dishes and making us feel well taken care of. The lobster bisque was delicious. The table-side Caesar was the best and the dinner was seriously out of this world. My wife ordered the New York steak and it was MASSIVE. I have never seen such a large cut and it was cooked to perfection. I had the Beef Wellington and it was the best I have ever had anywhere. Perfectly cooked, flaky crust and amazing flavor. The drinks and dessert were on par with the rest of the meal but I have to stop myself from writing a book about everything I loved about it. No complaints at all. The live piano music really took it to another level. It added such a classy, cozy vibe and made the whole experience feel special instead of just another dinner out. Definitely coming back. Highly recommend if you want good food and a whole vibe, not just a meal.

We were greeted warmly and, thanks to our reservation, were seated right away. The ambiance was exactly what you'd hope for in a fine dining establishment: warm, inviting, and dimly lit. To top it off, there was a live jazz band playing, which provided the perfect sophisticated backdrop for our evening. Our waiter, Mark, was exceptional. He greeted us warmly and already knew we were there for a birthday. He walked us through the water options and provided excellent wine service for my fiancee's Washington Syrah, ensuring she tasted it first to make sure it was to her liking. The Food: Bread Service: Do not skip this! The house-made sourdough and French bread were served warm. We were pleasantly surprised by how much we loved the olive tapenade that came alongside the whipped butter. The Filet Mignon: My fiancee ordered the 10oz True West Prime NW Filet (medium-rare). It was exactly as expected: juicy, delicious, and finished with a slight char on the edges that we both loved. The Prix Fixe Menu: I opted for the 3-course meal. The Wedge Salad was crisp, and the Braised Bone-in Short Rib was incredible. The meat literally fell off the bone at the slightest touch of my fork. It was served over a parmesan risotto that was equally delicious. The "Chocolate Bomb": For the birthday dessert, they brought out a chocolate lava cake with freshly whipped cream and a hot fudge drizzle. It was the perfect ending to the night. Final Thought: Be prepared to pay a premium for the food and atmosphere, as this is definitely not a cheap meal. However, for a special occasion where you want world-class service, live music, and perfectly cooked steak, Chandlers is well worth the investment.

It has a nice ambience. Inside are a combination of booths, half booths, low and bar height tables, dark wood, with a nice semi-circular bar with a nice, semi-circular metal decoration that was filled with artificial plants, wine bottles, and small kegs. There was a wine rack accent wall on the right. It is located in downtown Boise at the corner of Idaho and 8th St along restaurant row. Our server was Matthew B, and while he was a nice guy, he did not provide good service. It took him a while to get to our table, then after we ordered drinks, it took too long to get them. We then ordered appetizers but he didn't take our dinner orders. We waited too long for the appetizers, and then we ordered our dinners, which also took a while to come out. Runners brought our food out, not Matthew. He did not to refill the women's sodas, we had to ask. He did bring another glass of wine to one of the men, but that was because he was signaled. He did not ask the other people that ordered beer and cocktails if they wanted another. We never had our water glasses refilled. We told him about the birthday celebration, and all he said was, if we ordered dessert, he would put a candle on it. What? Most places serve a complimentary dessert for a birthday celebration. He also took too long to bring us our checks. We're all good tippers. We gave him 15%; he didn't deserve it. The food was OK, not spectacular, but overpriced. As far as the apetizers, the asparagus fries were not that flavorful, though nicely crusted. The cauliflower was just OK, likewise the chicken wings. I did like the honey and balsamic grilled brussel sprouts. Speaking for my wife and I, she liked the BAM Sammy. The side salad was average. I ordered the Urban Burger. While the patty was cooked well, it was small. I can get a bigger, better burger that costs less at any number of restaurants we frequent, including a few near us (we live in Star). I did like the fries. Crispy, with I believe Parmesan cheese coating them. My friend said his smoked salmon salad was just OK. We found it very loud, and difficult to hear each other in conversation. Needless to say, we have no plans to return to Fork.

We had a free appetizer coupon and ordered the Texas Tonion. For entrees he ordered a 12 oz New York strip steak with baked potato and salad and I ordered the 10oz salmon that comes with seasoned rice, a baked potato, and salad. Fresh bread and butter was served, also. The Texas Tonion arrived quickly: hot and delicious. NOT GREASY! I prefer ranch dressing rather than the dip provided and Melannie brought it quickly. The salads were out fast. Tasty. The entrees were delivered long enough after the appetizer and salads so we didn't feel rushed. NICE! I don't enjoy starting an app or salad only to have my hot entree placed in front of me. Good timing here! So, that being said, my potato was warm not hot. His potato was hot and a little dry. His steak was delicious, seasoned nicely without an overabundance of salt, and cooked medium rare as he asked. My salmon was perfect. Again not overly salted but perfectly seasoned. The rice was good. It was a very enjoyable lunch. The atmosphere is conducive for conversation; we didn't have to yell over the music to be heard. Melannie was very attentive, checking back frequently, and brought another soda before I needed to ask. The only other cons, hence the 4 stars, is that my menu was filthy. I asked for a clean one and the hostess found 2 more that were dirty before handing me a clean one. Also, his fork had food stuck to it and my steak knife was greasy before I used it. I was so busy I forgot to take pics of the entrees. Sorry! They looked good. Take my word for it.

A couple of my friends showed up first, got a great table outside and ordered a couple apps to get the party started. I showed up after goodies and drinks were ordered. We started off with some chips and salsa and pountine. The chips and salsa looked good but the pountine was definitely calling my name! I love me some potatoes and these potatoes looked like they were going to be right up my alley! I dished up a good portion before my friends got some. They were kind to let me plate first cause of my new kidney. I didn't want to be too greedy so the portion I got was a few bites. Those few bites got me hooked so it was a must to get another order started. While my order of pountine was being worked on, I tried the pretzel with cheese and the hummus plate. The pretzel was perfectly salted. The cheese sauce was the perfect addition to the soft pretzel. I took a good amount of the hummus and Greek salad. The pita that came with it was a great vessel for the hummus. It was crispy with a slight chew to it. The hummus was clean tasting and rich. The Greek salad was so fresh. All the components of the salad tasted like they were just picked from the garden. You literally can't get anymore farm to table than that! It was so fresh! The second order of pountine came out. Everything about this appetizer was delicious! I love soggy, softer fries and these fries were the business! The gravy and cheese were the highlight of the dish for me. You can never go wrong with potatoes, cheese and gravy! There was a good amount of meat on the pountine. It was so tender! You can tell it was cooked with a lot of love and time! I took the rest home and I plan on hiding my box in the back of my fridge so my daughter can't get to it! We ended our happy hour with the beignets. Each one of these goodies were covered in powered sugar. The caramel sauce that was paired with it was devine! In all honesty, as full as I was, I could have polished off an order myself! They were the perfect dessert to end this fabulous meal. Bittercreek has been on my to go list for a hot minute. I'm so happy we got to come here and celebrate my birthday. The food was marvelous. Now, the food. My friend went for one of their signature burgers, which was seasoned simply so the beef really gets to shine. The only hiccup was that they were out of tomatoes, which is a non-negotiable topping for her, so keep that in mind if tomatoes are a must. I went a different route and ordered the beef focaccia. Uniquely layered ribeye and really good. We also shared a Greek salad that was simple but fresh and satisfying. And the french fries with their homemade ketchup? Don't skip em.
