New post: our garbage disposal made an awful noise, night before Thanksgiving. Turned it off/back on, noise still there. Looked inside with a flashlight, saw what looked like a paper clip. We spent a couple of hours trying to pull it out, then called Charles. We followed his advice and still couldn't pull it out. He came day after T'giving, and had to dismantle the disposal, pull out as much of the paper clip as he could, and then reinstall the disposal. My puppy followed Charles outside when he was working, and I didn't know until Charles brought him inside a minute later (no words to express my gratitude and relief for that-so I hope he reads this). While he was here, he fixed a bathroom sink drain device. He is ethical, way more than reasonable in his invoicing, and a true gentleman. A bit rare in today's world. read more

Charles removed our old kitchen faucet and installed a new one. There were some unexpected issues: a crack in our P-pipe (so that's why it's always damp under the sink), a missing washer, and a flex hose that wasn't long enough, but he handled everything. He was friendly, communicative, and very affordable. read more

Charles is a master plumber, as evidenced by the monster systems he works on at SFO in the mornings. He fixed a number of issues in my house, from replacing the sink faucet to fixing my bath tub stopper. Some of these required creative solutions that stumped my prior plumber. He's also responsive, polite, and a swell guy. A warning about billing, however: Charles may try to undercharge you. If he pulls this stunt, stay firm and insist in paying him for his time and materials in full. read more

Charles and his assistant, Eric, added another cold water line for my new fridge, which has a water and ice dispenser. :) He showed up a bit late due to another appointment that ran late, but he called beforehand and was very polite and conscientious. He also helped me clean the glass trap in my dishwasher, which was full of glass and other things that were preventing optimal cleaning. Ultimately, Charles is a nice guy, professional, and his assistant and he do great work. Will definitely use Primo again and recommend the company to others. read more

Wow! I called at 6:30pm on a Thursday night. Charles answered his phone, and he came by immediately, as he was on his way home, to fix my garbage disposal. He put on shoe covers, was courteous and pleasant, and did not make me feel like an idiot for having a screw in my garbage disposal! What amazing service. Charles is the BEST!!! I needed someone to install a complicated water purification system under my kitchen sink and after another plumber flaked on me, I decided to call Charles. He was prompt in responding and kept me posted on his arrival as he had another job before mine. He is very thorough and went back and forth my place, his place and the hardware store to get the necessary parts because my building has a very old plumbing system. The job took longer than expected because it was a lot more complicated than we thought. For all the time Charles spent on getting it all setup, he was very reasonable in the final charge. Charles has been a lifesaver the couple of times I've worked with him. I have a funky old shower which I love (though its hard to get parts for). The hot water was leaking and he quickly came over and diagnosed it - a faulty cartridge on the hot water side. He pulled out the piece to get the part number and went and picked it up from a plumbing distribution shop that afternoon and installed it with minimal fuss. Over the past few years, he's helped remove old gas lines in the ceiling of our 100+ yr old victorian to make room for new light fixtures, rerouted gas lines that were mistakenly mixed up between my and my neighbor's meters, helped us replace bathroom plumbing (bath/shower valve, faucet and shower head, sink water supply lines and drain, tub and drain), and upgrade an old toilet drain. Charles can do it all -- and is friendlier, more reliable, more hardworking, more practical, and more honest and fairly priced than pretty much any other contractor I've ever worked with. Primo Plumbing does excellent work! A few days ago PG&E told me the company that installed my tankless water heater (5 years ago) did a poor installation job and the installation needed to be corrected. The company did not properly tie into the PG&E meter. Some of the pipes and fittings were non galvanized and were rusting. The overall installation was poorly done. That company is no longer in business. I used yelp and found Primo Plumbing with its 5 star rating to correct the improperly done installation. I told Primo what PG&E said about correcting how and where the water heater gas line should tie into the PG&E Meter. Charles Fong (owner of Primo Plumbing) came to my house and gave me an estimate of 1 1/2 to 2 hours to do the correction requested by PG&E. Charles also said he would dismantle the sloppy installation and replace the non galvanized rusting pipes and fitting with galvanized. The reassembled gas line was a huge improvement. The pipes were nicely aligned and properly secured. I was amazed it was all done within the estimated time. Primo Plumbing did an excellent job and the price was very reasonable. What I appreciated the most was his honesty and integrity. I highly recommend Primo Plumbing. read more

He always showed up when he said he would the quality of his work was very good - if you have any jobs that require exposed soldered plumbing pick Charles - it was almost a shame to sheet rock over his soldering! Also we had a shower cartridge fail and I called him - he was really busy but gave me advice on how to replace it - now that's service! read more
