I don't understand. The place is not short on customers or customer service. But prices and flavor are a miss for me. The price for a pizza was higher than i imaged it would be, so i decided on a pasta dish. That was a mistake, the chicken was dry and overcooked. And the dish as a whole was bland. I loved the garlic cheese bread, which is basically a hoagie toasted with garlic butter topped with cheese. It's a perfect vessel for the sauce. I do think i would try again because everyone cannot love this place but me. read more

When first walking up to the restaurant I was confused about what kind of restaurant it was, the music suggested Mexican but the colors and signs suggested Italian. After that it was off to the races figuring out what to order. We ended up getting a few lunch specials, pizza and a calzone. Everything was impressive, the Primo special pizza was amazing, the ravioli and manicotti were delicious. Adding ricotta cheese and pepperoni to the calzone made it even more delicious. So I'm kind of a pizza snob so it takes a lot to really impress me. I thought the pizza I bought was super over priced. We decided to do the pay by the slice option and I ordered a chicken pesto pizza and it over $6 for a slice of pizza. I will say the portions are rather large so you'll definitely feel full after eating. The pizza itself was pretty soggy and the toppings just didn't taste all that flavorful together. I ordered dessert as well and got the bread pudding which also just tasted dry. Honestly don't think I'll be coming back. read more

Wow! The White pizza was fantastic. I loved the ricotta cheese on it. The service was fast and the staff was really nice! The house salads were really good with fresh ingredients. We will definitely return next time we come into town. read more

We got the 10" chicken pesto and 10" spinach mushroom bc we couldn't decide on just one large. Both pizzas were cut into 6 small pieces. The chicken pesto was my favorite of the two. Loved the pesto sun dried tomatoes chicken and artichokes. The spinach mushroom was good, just didn't love the globs of spinach it made the crust watery. I think if the water was squeezed from it and it was spread out more than just a big clump it would of been perfect. All in all I'll be back. We had considered Primo's a few times in the past but passed it up for other options. Mostly because their online menu does not provide details about what's on the various pizzas. Sadly I wish we had chosen another option this time. We ordered a Primo's Special and one Garlic Cheese Bread with Marinara. The pizza was ok at best, but it offered nothing that makes me want to order it again. It was also very flimsy. I would even say it was maybe a little under cooked. If we had not ordered the "Garlic Cheese Bread" I might have given this 3 stars. But we paid $6 for them to slice open some French bread and slap a few pieces of sliced cheese and throw under a heat lamp for a few minutes. Very low chance we eat here again. And definitely not if I'm paying. read more

We ordered the chicken pesto Alfredo with artichokes& mushrooms. Cooked beautifully. Flavors amazing. Hubby ordered the baked Ziti w/ meatball. Sauce ok, not stellar . Meatball good! We will try the pizza next time. A bit of a drive from BHam but worth supporting. read more

After 3 visits we give Primo's a 5+. 1st ordered a 14" Chelsea on line, they are still working on the website, look for it to get better. Back to the food. Pizza was what we were craving, flavors worked together, sauce delis, crust Crisp yet had a nice chew. I even ate the crust which I almost always leave. Had cold breakfast pizza the next day, so good, my favorite easy breakfast. 2nd was a dine in for lunch, had a slice of Chicken Pesto. They make them to order, not sitting under a hot lamp drying out. Again another great combination of ingredients. It's a full meal deal I had trouble finishing it. Got a Tiramisu to go. If a restaurant has it on their menu we partake. This is hands down for the price the Best in town that we have tried and we have tried a lot. 3rd was take out Lasagna, Wow they make their sauce's in house and this was so delicious a comfort food we will enjoy many more times. Out of Tiramisu so we got this our name Death by Chocolate, smooth, creamy not to sweat we savored as long as we could. They also make their desserts in house. Service has been exemplary on all visits, clean open dining room. There's a real Italian chef back there cooking down home goodness. read more

We called in an order and picked it up this evening. It was ready when we arrived and the staff at the pickup window were incredibly friendly. We had no wait and the food was hot when we got it. We ordered the Primo Special pizza and it was fantastic. All of the ingredients tasted so fresh. My daughter got the kids spaghetti with meat sauce and said it was delicious. The kids portion was a lot of food for the price. We got the 16" pizza and it was perfect for 3 people with 2 slices leftover. We will definitely be back! read more

Since my last post I have went back and got the All American Pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms it was delicious,another time the meatball sub which was great and the spinach mushroom calzone,loved it . 2 orders in two days! Sausage, peppers, and cannoli was excellent. (Chef's kiss!) The nxt day had lunch ordered trying the chicken parmigiana, beef ravioli, and chicken alfredo. I love Primo's!! Their pizza reminds me of Sabarro's Pizza. It used to be in the food court at the Galleria in Hoover. I was so pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it. But everything else I have tried has been fantastic, as well. Fettuccine Alfredo, bread pudding, etc. I highly reccomend a visit! read more

Would have giving 5 Stars but I think it's a little over priced. Ordered Spaghetti with Meatballs, and a tea, it came with Bread and a complimentary salad. The spaghetti was angel hair pasta, very tender definitely not al dente but still very good. The sauce is better than average and the 2 meatballs were very good as well. The salad was just lettuce, tomato slice, cheese and dressing, I assume the dressing was a house dressing, didn't ask. I had this for lunch and got 3 dollars and a few pennies back for change of a $20. Roughly $17 for lunch, just not use to paying that much for lunch. But overall the food was good. read more

Tried something new so We picked this place. First and last time! Ordered The Chelsea and the description says "chicken, sausage and shrimp in a creamy marinara over fettuccine". The chicken was over cooked and NO WHERE DOES IT SAY THIS DISH IS EXTREMELY SPICY. My other Half was up ALL NIGHT going back and forth to the bathroom, stomach hurting and in pain. If you screwed the dish up by adding spices, JUST FIX ANOTHER ONE. Don't send out the wrong food. Repeat business is better than no business. Will not been gong back! High inconvenience! read more

Would love to give zero stars. this place was AWFUL! I placed an order to pick up 2 pizzas, 2 sub, ceasar salad and dessert. We were visiting and were about 30 mins away from the Primos. We went to pick it up and the lady with very broken English repeated the order. All was correct total was ~$86 we left a $10 tip and headed back to house. Got back and it was ALL wrong. we got pasta, the wrong pizza, a garden salad, cheese bread and no dessert. I immediately called because were feeding 10 people and now had 1 cheese pizza to try to feed everyone. I immediately asked for the manager who spoke even less understandable english who told me to drive back and he would fix the issue. I explained where I was and that was unacceptable I wanted a refund for everything but the cheese pizza because no one would eat anything else. He assured me that it would be taken care of said he had the information and would take care of it. I then contacted my credit card company who aaid they couldnt do anything until the charge hit my account. I call the store back and the manger said he credited back the charge and I should see anything. When i got my statement the charge was there. I disputed it and still have resolved the issue. The restaurant will not provide the info needed. The pizza was awful, and service was worse. read more
