Food first, thoughts after... Our server was very friendly, though not very familiar with the menu. Drinks were excellent, but the clam chowder was a bit salty and the pasta I ordered was disappointing -- the seafood didn't seem fresh and the sauce was flat. I want to be supportive of locally owned restaurants and hope this message gets to the owner because I think this place has potential but I'll likely never be back. First, the good: my dad and I went for lunch and we both liked our food. He got the baked ziti with a side salad and I got the Gorgonzola salad with salmon. The bad: first and foremost is the price. Our meals cost $75 after tip. I'd say they were closer to $40 value wise. The atmosphere is very outdated and honestly dirty looking, especially for a restaurant at this price point. Last the service was severely lacking. The owner served us but was there doing everything so we waited to be served for at least 5+ minutes. At their price point, that's unacceptable. The food was good enough to come back for but the price, service, and atmosphere are too far out of wack for me to ever want to give them another chance. My husband and I love all things Italian. We have been saying we were going to Napoli for a few months and finally made it last Sunday. We got there around 1pm and were the only people in the restaurant. A few others came in to pick up to go orders while we were there. The owners are from Albania so the food isn't going to be exactly Italian. But, what we had was good. I had the baked ziti, and it was filled with lots of sauce an ricotta cheese and was very tasty. My husband had a calzone. He said it was good, but the ricotta cheese was still a tad cool in the center. We had a nice chat with our server, and we will go back and try other items on the menu. "Italian cuisine". Not authentic. Prepared by the owner who is very nice but not from Italy. I ordered the lasagna. Very greasy, noodles were burnt on the bottom. We tried the fried artichokes that needed flavor. We ordered the Gorgonzola salad. It was the best part of our meal. My husband ordered Italian sausage with peppers and onions. Very Cajun flavor, no Italian flavors. Friends ordered meatballs and spaghetti. Just meh in flavor. The place looks unfinished. My husband and I came here during lunch on a weekday. There was maybe 1 or 2 other tables of customers, so we didn't have to wait to be seated. We chose to sit outside because it was a beautiful day! Our waitress took our drink and food order and we only saw her during our meal when she brought our food out. When we were finished, we had to go in and ask for a check. Now, usually I'd be more lenient here on the criticism if it had been more crowded, but we were one of only two total tables for our waitress. We ordered garlic knots for our appetizer which were great! It took about 30 minutes to get them though. For our entree, my husband ordered the Hawaiian pizza and I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Stromboli. My husband enjoyed his pizza well enough, but I had several issues with my Stromboli. 1st, there was VERY little chicken in it. I had to dig for it. 2nd, as shown in the pic, the cheese inside wasn't even melted. How can you burn the outside and not even melt the cheese inside? This tells me that either the cheese wasn't freshly grated OR that the oven temp is too high (or both). I was pretty disappointed. Not sure that I'll spend my money here again. read more

Update! In restaurant review! We showed up around 11:30am New Years Eve. They had the doors open on the 64 degree day right in front of the huge fountain with the smell of Italian suco cooking and spices wafting in the air. The music was absolutely perfect. The decor was that of a old time established place done gradually by the diy owner and had some character. It also had the feel of a walk in NYC Italian deli to the right with the gingham red table cloths. We were the only ones there the entire time, which is just wrong because the food was high quality! We ordered the meatballs as appetizer. They were minced and soft but firm also. Flavor was good and had breadcrumbs used in them as well. Overall they were very good. However, the sauce it came with reminded me if our family's homemade suco. So it felt so right. Not sweet and not bitter with not everything cooked down so it had some small chunks of tomato and onion remaining. Well spiced perfectly. Real homemade suco and you can tell! She had the chicken piccata which was spot on. However the meat was not pounded thin and although it was two thicker larger breast, the flavor penetrated well through which was shocking for how thick they were. Very tender and well seasoned. I had the lasagna, as a true staple test of a review. The cheese they use I love but is more on the greasy side. But the flavor and firmness was spot on. The meat was a little over seasoned with oregano but does not bother me. Others may find it too strong. I don't remember seeing or tasting any ricotta cheese as stated on the menu and that was disappointing because I love it in lasagna. It was very different than the lasagna upon my door dash order when I first reviewed it. We had to ask for bread after the meal came as I felt the suco would go to waste from the meatballs and my lasagna which is an Italian mortal sin. I made small suco sandwhichs with the rolls. Spot on! They over cooked the roles but they did not taste burned oddly. Had they been cooked less they would be 5 star with the the olive oil butter and garlic. I would suggest adding salt to them on top. Once settled in, the decor, the music, ah man the music was spot on! The sound of the water fountain with open doors really pulled the ambiance all together. Being the only two there was nice but it would also be different experience had it been more crowded. This place should be very busy based on the homemade food, quality ingredients and tastes of authentic Italian which is hard to find locally. It felt like the food was too good to not be much more crowded. The owner was there and very nice, as was the staff. They make their own bread and suco for sure. Overall, I cannot rate a 5 as I would need to try more menu items. Based on others reviews and our own experience it seems there may be consistency problems which is a telltale sign that much of it is homemade. (Thats a good sign.) But expect hit and miss when most of the items are home made and not premade. Overall this is an easy 4 star + but not a 5 star (yet.) I think if they get and stay busier it would force more consistency and improvement and they could easily become a long term staple in the area being highly sought after and successful. Well worth going if you want to try a new place. I was a little shocked at the $18 Stromboli and other costs on the menu but again, this is authentic homemade food and you can tell. It literally reminds me of my Nonna's as she was just as inconsistent due to item availability or just energy levels. I would assume even on a bad day the food would still be good. Absolutely will be one of my go to Italian places when in the area. Try it and experience a taste of real Italy. read more

Hubby and I dined here late on a Saturday evening. Served by the owner himself! A delicious appetizer of meatballs in marinara and bread. Then we split the Napoli salad and chicken parmigiana. Salad was a wonderful combination of tastes. Dressing great too. The chicken parm was fabulous....tender, juicy and just enough crispness. You could taste the sauce was homemade. Good food. I had the penne arrabbiata and the sauce was clearly fresh, tomatoes fresh, and just the right heat. Salad dressing was too balsamic heavy but homemade. They care about food. I didn't have a pizza but they looked very authentic. The primary problem is they are clearly understaffed and food order took too long, but the owner was nice and kept us updated. I'm not sure if they couldn't find waitstaff or were being thrifty. Ambiance was lousy but that doesn't typically matter much to me. The menu really needs more thought. It's kind of a stereotype of a Italian menu in some ways. Better to reduce the selections somewhat and really lean on authenticity. I will go again... when I know I have time. read more

Heard good things about Napolis so my wife and I came in around 4pm Valentine's day to beat the rush. Sign on the door said reservations required but since it was early and the place was empty the waiter agreed to serve us. Ordered the Red Snapper on the special menu and it came out almost raw. Sent it back. Waited about 15 minutes and the second piece was not much better. The waiter asked if I wanted something else but by then I wasn't interested and my wife's meal was mostly eaten so we paid and left. The special lasagna price was $38. It was good but not worth the price; basically chicken and spinach. Total bill was $71 for 2 beers and 1 meal including tax and tip. We went home and I ate leftovers. Tried to contact manager on website but no response. Called restaurant and talked to the manager who said he had no control and couldn't do anything about it and I should call the owner. Love this place! This is our fifth time eating here and every time the food has been amazing. They staff is very kind and the atmosphere is very cozy. We went when they first opened and the service has definitely gotten faster so ignore the old reviews saying the service is slow. We saw a flashing sign saying open and walked in around 8pm. The first impression we had was utter confusion. On the right is a casual pizza restaurant that is empty and appears unused. On the left is an empty ice cream display case and an unused bar. Further back in the building is a fine dining type area and a very large kitchen. It's a mishmash of unfinished projects and mismatched finishes. We waited for a few minutes and nobody greeted us. Finally, the chef comes from the kitchen and brusquely asks if we have a reservation. When we say no, he gestures to a mainly empty dining room saying he has no clean tables. We stand there unsure what he really means since the dining room is mostly empty. He waits a beat and tells us to eat in the pizza restaurant so we walk that way only for him to repeat several times that he has no clean tables. We're genuinely confused what the man is saying or what he wants us to do. He then walks to the white tablecloth area of the dining room and points to a table and tells us to sit there. We then sit down and a waitress appears and asks if we have a reservation. Again we say no and she looks at her watch and says they'll make it work. Again, the blinking sign says open, there are other customers in the place and the website says they're open till ten. At this point we offer to leave but the waitress looks at her watch again and says we can stay. We are totally confused. When the food came, it was excellent. I had veal marsala and my wife had eggplant part. Both were on par with really good NY Italian restaurants. Although the menu said entrees came with garlic bread, we weren't served any. After the meal, the waitress explained that they were having trouble recruiting staff and were doing their best to keep the wheels on the bus until they could be hired. Will I go back? Absolutely, the food is really good. Would I recomend Napoli? Yes, but with the disclaimer that you don't go expecting great service or a typical restaurant experience. read more

We ate here on 9/23/23. Napoli hasn't been open long and I think the owner is having a few issues getting things fully in place. The positives: - the food is delicious. lasagna was superb and the Caesar salad was spot on. my italian food loving wife and daughter were positive about the Margarita pizza. The rest: - the food took a bit of time to arrive. a little too long. - ambience was lacking. it looks like it is going the right way, but nearly every table can see directly into the brightly lit kitchen and it takes away from the experience. i have a feeling that Napoli is going to evolve into a beautiful dining experience. but right now, they need servers, a liquor license, and faster turnover of customers. as for a star rating, i award: 4.5 to the food 3 to the service, because it was just the owner managing all of the tables. 3 for ambience. We have been fortunate to visit twice during their start up period. Like everyone else they are short staffed, but once you get in and get a seat there is no issue at all with service. There was only one guy serving all 4 tables and he was very nice. He sat us in the corner of the pizzeria cafe section of the restaurant and promptly forgot about us. We waited about 35 minutes for him to come take our order while he was chatting with other guests. The food was okay, we ordered the chicken piccata and it was super lemony and the chicken wasn't great. It had no seasoning and seemed like it was just boiled.
