I actually have never eaten Primos before! I stopped in before work. I'll keep my review short and sweet. I ordered a Whacked Chicken (grilled instead of fried). The chicken wasn't great (that's what I get for ordering a hot sandwich at a hoagie place). It kinda reminded me of the chicken at Subway, which is no bueno. I will say that the pesto, bruschetta, sharp provolone, and roll were on point. I could have eaten that alone. I did see the staff freshly cutting the lunch meat for each individual order. They work pretty quick, which is always great. I'd go back to try it again. I would avoid the grilled chicken though, it's not freshly made. read more

Primo? Geez we always call it "Primo's". I have to be in the right mood for Primo, but when I am it's delicious. I tried out a few different things at first but I've pretty much settled on the Whacked Chicken with lettuce and tomato. I mean I'll be honest I can't give Primo 5 stars because It's not like i'm blown away by anything. They make good hoagies and have some great side items so they definitely deserve 4 stars... but I don't feel compelled to like jump up and down shouting OMGOSH PRIMO! I know some people wish they had more bread options. As far as I know they have one type of bread. But still I'd rather pick up something from Primo than a more "fast food" style sub shop. They take a little bit longer but you can call ahead and put in an order for pick up. They're worth trying if you haven't. read more

I ordered 2 sandwiches. Wacked chicken and a sharp Italian hoagie & 3 sides. Cole slaw, mac. salad & pot. salad. All sides great. Asked for no seeds on one because of having Diverticulitis but got seeds. Requested O & V on the side & got none. Requested hot peppers & 2 sides of side pickles & got none. Nothing worse than getting home and you open your sandwiches and they are wrong. Enough said I ordered a big t Diablo, no tomato and turkey and cheese with tomato and hot peppers for my wife. My sandwich was just a regular t with hot peppers and insane amount of onions. Wife's sandwich didn't have tomatoes like 1 pepper and barely any mayo. I do love the bread they use here. The texture of the bread with sesame seeds makes the sandwich. You have to get at least the larger size "Primo" though to get that bread. Overall, they have a huge selection from chicken cutlets to deli meat and meatballs. The bf and sister usually order one of the Diablo sandwiches. The pork one is really spicy in my opinion. They use fresh mozzarella but the prosciutto wasn't that good. My brother didn't like the meatballs; he found it way to herby. The potato salad is okay but the macaroni salad is better. Good when you're craving a sub and it beats Subway no doubt. But it can get a bit pricey. read more

The hoagies are good but make sure you open and check your sandwiches before you leave. I asked for no lettuce on one sandwich (plain ham for a child) and when we got home and opened our lunch none of the hoagies for the adults had any lettuce or tomatoes or anything, just meat. It was a big disappointment and now my husband refuses to order primos ever again. Bummer. read more

My wife and I aways loved their Roast Beef, but the last two times we had it on a Hoagie, it seems like they changed to a lesser quality.

Constantly disappointing! I'm not sure what happened to this location. When Primos in Langhorne opened a few years back it was great I'm pretty sure it must have changed ownership at some point. The hoagies are expensive which I don't mind paying if I'm getting a quality hoagie. Where is the meat? Very thin hoagies, every time I ask for oil vinegar and seasoning I receive it dry. Ordered a Primo italian with hot peppers, oil and vinegar. I got no oil, no vinegar, no oregano or seasonings of any kind, ONE tomato slice on the entire hoagie, and to top it off the damm thing was made completely wrong, with the meat and cheese rolled up into a log and the lettuce and onion stuffed beside it against the roll. Any idiot knows that when you make a hoagie it's cheese against the roll (to keep it from getting soggy) meat over the cheese, and the lettuce tomato and onion in the middle. Also the cleanliness of the preparation area (which is in plain sight) was highly questionable. Since I have gotten great hoagies from this location in the past I can only assume new management or staff. Either way, I won't be ordering from there again. read more

So call over an hour ahead of time for my order. On the way, I call because my gps didnt take me to the address so I wanted to find out exactly where they were. I was asked to hold, which I was left on hold for over 5 mins, so I decided to keep driving up the road & did finally find it on my own. BAD NEWS!!! Visited this place for the first and last time. Ordered a hot meatball sandwich. Lady tells me it's $9.00 with tax. Wow!! I told her I remember seeing a price of $6.49 on the menu. She just assumed I wanted the $9.00 one, but after I complained about the price, she agrees to remake the 6.49 sandwich. So, out comes the new, more reasonable meatball sandwich at a whopping $7.00 with tax. The meatballs were ice cold, the sauce was relatively hot. After one bite, I immediately complained. So, instead of correcting the situation, this woman became visually and noticeably annoyed with me and proceeded to go to the very back of the store where I was forced to wait over 5 mins, standing up at the front counter until she decided to approach me at which time comes the attitude. She proceeds to tell me in a angry tone that the temperature of the sauce is 100 degrees and that there's no way the sandwich is ice cold. Of course, she didnt grasp the concept that warm sauce over cold meatballs does not make the meatballs hot. She gives me the option of refunding my purchase and starts screaming at me that she has wasted 2 sandwiches on me. Of course, after spending nearly 20 mins in the establishment, I took the money and got out of there, but not before she began on a nasty verbal tirade laced with the F word. The staff is polite and friendly, place is very clean, and sandwiches awesome. I tried Primo for the first time a week ago, and I went back today. I had been totally at a loss to find good Hoagies in my own vicinity, until I tried Primos. Primo hoagies are stuffed full, not like the others in pizza shops where you can read through the meat and cheese. The rolls are fresh and I love the sesame seeds on top. They have a wide selection of Hoagie Sandwiches and always get my special orders right. I tried some sides today. The Cole slaw was great, nice and tangy. The red potato salad was very fresh and tasty. I got a Turkey Breast Hoagie today because my wife loves them, and the meat was moist, lettuce, tomato, and onion fresh, and that bread was just perfect. I will be stopping by Primos in Langhorne often. I think I will try the Schwatrzie next, it's corned beef, Swiss cheese, Cole slaw and Russian dressing, kind of like a corned beef special type Hoagie. Primos you earned 5 stars from me! read more

I was staying at the Sheraton hotel across the street from this location last week. I have never been to a Primos, but when I asked the guy at the front desk of the hotel where I could get a good hoagie, he said to try Primos across the street. I was lucky that this place was within walking distance to the hotel as there were only a few other options for a person using taxis - which are non existent in this area. When I walked in I immediately liked this place. It was bright and decorated with A LOT of baseball photos and autographs. I'm not a Phillies fan (this store is), but I could appreciate what was on the walls. It was close to closing time, but the guys working took the time to hep me out as it was obvious that I was clueless with the many sandwich selections I was presented with. The guy behind the counter saw me staring at the menu board and offered to help with any questions. I told him that I never had a "real" Philadelphia hoagie and asked him for his personal recommendation. He asked me if I liked Proscuitto, (WHO DOESN'T?) and when I said I did, he recommended the Old Italian. Based upon his guidance, I got it "dressed" the way a true Philadelphian would order it: Lettuce, Tomato, Onion and Oil and Vinegar. I asked the guy behind the counter if the roll would be stale because I was ordering it so close to closing time and that they probably were sitting out all day. He informed me that they only buy partially baked bread and finish baking bread throughout the day so every sandwich is nice and fresh. It only took a few minutes to make, so I checked out all of the autographed photos of Phillies players on the walls. My name was called, I paid my bill and returned to my hotel room. When I opened the sandwich I was amazed how big it was. I ordered the "Primo" sized sandwich which was a little less than a foot in length. I took my first bite and was shocked that the bread was SO FRESH! The sandwich was PACKED with meat and cheese and toppings. I have to say I was surprised ther find another at it was so good for a place so close to the hotel. Usually the places close to the hotels I stay at suck, so this was a pleasant treat. The place was clean, the staff friendly and knowledgable, and the food AMAZING! If I ever find another Primo Hoagies location in my travels, I will stop for another sandwich! read more
