I've passed by this place many times and seen it from the highway, but never thought much of it. Recently, I went with some colleagues after work, and it turns out it's a really great spot for food at reasonable prices. We got some bread for the table, which was really good with the maple butter. The bruschetta was pretty good, and for my meal, I ordered the Cajun ribeye with green beans and asparagus on the side, all cooked perfectly. Service was on point throughout the evening - our server was very attentive and helpful, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the ambiance is really nice inside as well. Went on a Sunday around 3 with a party of 7. No reservation. The hostess states 'We have a party with 4:30 reservation so you will need to be done by then.' VERY off putting and rude, especially since I know full well there is more than 1 large booth/table. So did that statement mean we were being escorted out at 4:30 whether we were done or not? Needless to say we weren't done by 4:30 because service was a little slow, but I was prepared to chew very slowly. read more

He told me it was the best thing on the menu so I fell hook line and sinker. Pork is a difficult meat to cook properly so even though I was hesitant I went for it. Not only do I agree with Austin I would have to say it was the best pork chop I have ever had. It was nicely grilled and very juicy with a spicy honey glaze. Wow! It's a standalone building in a strip mall parking lot, the servers are also wired with headsets, the booth setup is like a Ruby Tuesdays, and there's the obligatory manager check in[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]That makes it great for family and a little off putting for somewhere serious about food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] That said, don't read a book by its cover. Got the Smokey the Bourbon, which had the obligatory smoke and was stiff as fuck. We went right for mains where I got the filet oscar style. Really good cut of meat, cooked to mid rare, with a fuckton of crab. Garlic cream sauce was a bit heavy handed given the steak didn't need it, although that is partly my fault for doubting them Portions are not small here, as the creamed spinach was nearly family style sized for 1 entree, as was the mac n cheese. My wife was visibly disgusted with me, but I was satisfied. She liked her steak too, and my son enjoyed his chicken. All was right with the world. Given the quality and the reasonable price point here, I will absolutely be back next time we come to Sesame Place and wouldn't entertain going elsewhere. The eggrolls were so good. They were pretty greasy, but I expect that from this dish. The horseradish sauce was too strong for me, but my brother really enjoyed it. An over cook very easily if it's not a fat fillet portion but it has always and I have eaten 100's of fillets from this Langhorne Resturaunt and ordered just as many for take out food and they package their take out as best as any resturaunt I have ever ordered from. And it is always hot and delicious and I have never had anything missing or something was messed up-No ever order and there have been 100's of them Dawson's is as much as once a week a place we order from and it's because they are so good-easy to order by phone! Did some quick research on where to eat for dinner, and this place was at the top of the list. We showed up without a reservation and were given an accurate wait time of about 35 minutes from friendly and welcoming hosts. Our server Rita was the best. Super attentive, made sure that all of our needs were quickly met. The pace of the meal was perfect. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and the portion sizes (huge!)....such an incredible value. Everything that we ordered to eat was outstanding. From the bread with delicious maple butter, to the lobster bisque with tons of fresh lobster (totally worth it) and tasty crab dip which came out piping hot with perfectly melted cheese and crisp chips. We got our son the mini hot dogs with cinnamon apples which he housed. For dinner - barbecue combo with ribs and pulled pork, and the prime rib sandwich. The prime rib sandwich was OUTSTANDING. The beef was tender and well-seasoned, the jus was literally good enough to drink (we did) and the roll was still perfectly toasted even after dipping. We went with our neighbors to get Ribs!! Dinner was great except our drinks were short in the glass--at least 1.5" low from the top..? A light pour all around. I had gotten a Old Fashioned and they told me they ran out of Makers Mark..?My neighbor got a Cosmo.. Then when the soup appetizers came we got potato it was also 1.5" below the rim ...? So someone should look into this --don't cut back on the drinks or food. We all got the full rack which were great and a good portion. read more

This place was packed on a Friday night! 40 min wait and the bar was also hopping! Our waitress was really nice and we started off with some signature drinks. We got the honey Sriracha brussels sprouts for appetizer, and they were so flavorful! For dinner, I opted for the twisted burger with a side of mac & cheese. We came back again... a year later. The only reason that we have not visited this place prior is that we are from out of town. Our waitress, Karen, was amazing! She made our dining experience extra special just for being pleasant, kind, and funny. Food was exceptional, just like our last visit. Everyone loved their food. We had a great 3 PM late lunch...with a libation for each grown up. Grilled cheese and chicken nuggets worked for kids, with a side of their warm apple chunks (like the middle of an apple pie). Kids were served quick so they could then have sundaes! Joy. Adults share ahi tuna app and spinach dip. Then two types of chicken sandwiches and a cheeseburger. All good tavern food w good fries. One in our party can't eat gluten and the server was quick to provide a separate gluten-free menu. Great approach to have it printed up. In this economy wasting money is not an option and that is exactly what happened. McDonald's has better food and service. Since my last visit here was less then great I was nervous about my Mother's day reservation. However, I'm so glad I decided to return here. Food was absolutely amazing. It came out quick & everything was cooked perfectly. The steak melted in your mouth as did the lobster tail. Service was exceptional. All the servers & runners were working together & the manager was even out on the floor checking in on tables. What a great place! My husband has been here for a few business lunches and we decided to have dinner here for Valentine's Day and our Anniversary. I have been going to this restaurant for years. When Covid hit I was doing more pick up takeout. I haven't been there in a while because I moved a little further away. I happen to be in the area today and I ordered our two favorites. The Texas tenders and the chicken cob. What a disappointment the tenders were so soggy that I had to throw them out. The salad was such a disappointment that used to have fresh micro greens not anymore. Very little chicken, very little bacon, very little avocado. It had mostly lettuce and dressing. Made a reservation here for my mother's birthday dinner. Thursday at 4:45. Pretty empty when we got there. By the time we left it was packed. The food was very good. I had looked at photos of everyone's food on Yelp and pretty much already knew what I was going to order (although I changed my mind when I got there. But my dad got what I was originally going to get so I got to taste it ) Here's what we ordered: the filet Oscar. Very good but I ordered medium and it was well done. I didn't return it because it was not dry because of the sauce/crab mixture on top. Had it been plain, it may have been too dried out. But was still very tasty. The cheesesteak rolls were great. They come with a horseradish sauce that made them even better. My dad got the crab alfredo which was delicious. It was not as heavy and cheesy as most Alfredos which was nice. My mom has the chicken breast (oscar, I think). She did say that was very tough and dried out as well. She loved the baked beans as her side. And she had the lobster bisque which was delicious. My husband had the prime rib, which is what my parents always used to get when we went there years ago. I'm not a prime rib person but my husband said it was very good. My dad is getting that next time. Said it was always good there. Never too fatty. His French fries were amazing lol. Oh... and our loaf of bread was horrible. We all love bread and were definitely disappointed with that. I think they left it in the oven a bit too long so it seemed old. She offered a new loaf but we were over it at that point and didn't want to fill up on bread. Drinks were great! Service was very good!
