The bar entrance is cramped and the "ambiance" made it hard to read the menu, however, the food was delicious. The staff is very respectful and professional.

We had a great/pleasant experience here. Everyone was very friendly and inviting. It appears there is an interesting history, I overheard what I believe to be the manager speaking to a group about the history of the location/building. Wished I had heard more since history intrigues me. Hopefully next time we visit I will be able to. Now the food.... everything was delicious. Fresh and locally sourced which is especially important to my family to support restaurants like this. Everything was so good. I just wished there were a few more items on the menu geared towards kids. I also wish that the steaks came with at least one side. But the filet it was so tasty and did not require any sauce. The bread was even so good. The truffle fries were tasty. The creamed spinach was good, but wasn't exactly creamy. We will most certainly be back because it was just that good! I certainly hope this is a permanent addition to the historic Newtown area.

Ambiance in this place was amazing we sat upstairs in a back room that seemed like for private parties. The music was playing with the wooden beam ceilings was great. The service, drinks and food were top notch will definitely go again.

This place was nice! We were looking for an upscale place to eat that was close and this place hit the spot. Absolutely beautiful interior and decor. We went on a Sunday evening, we were surprised at how slow the place was, only a handful of tables had guests. The bread service at the table was absolutely wonderful. Piping hot fresh baked steamy bread was to die for. Started with crab bisque and a wedge salad, followed by a perfectly cooked medium rare ribeye steak, lobster gnocchi with Brussels sprouts and wild mushroom risotto. The gnocchi was a bit dry and the risotto had a slightly odd taste to it, glad we didn't get that as the meal. But props to the crew, the risotto isn't on the menu as a side, but they obliged when I asked if they could do that for us, we were grateful they did. We did not have enough room for dessert, but overall we were very pleased and will be back.

Wait until you hear the story about the logo!

Service bad. Worst meal I have ever had. Filet had to be sent back. Second one was as bad as the first.

Have to say that while it appears to be an amusement park from beyond the fence with massive water slides and multiple aquamarine pools for various uses; from within it makes more sense and is actually quite attractive in a hyperactive way. Happy Hour with half price drinks was a good deal, and the bar food offerings were also well designed to complement the alcoholic drinks, if not all that tasty, nor compelling in their own right. So many people in a relatively small space around the bar, that conversation was a bit challenging. Plenty of alternative distractions among the many "beautiful" folks who enjoy being the center of attention, and know how to do it right, especially when encouraged with beverage. With music playing in the background the experience was a mixed bag. Clearly, the plan is a bit over the top, and made for people with kids or those who like this glitterati experience. Yet, there was a full house that evening, and business was booming. Covid put an end to the crowds for the last year, but I suspect the club will be back in action full tilt come vaccinations and reduced mask wearing. I'm the more cautious type, and will wait a while before accepting my next invitation.

That being…read moresaid, the last time I was there, their selection of draft and bottled beers, ciders and other drinks were great, varied for every palate, including my persnickety and fickle taste. One of their longtime staples, the Lindeman's Framboise (Raspberry in French) lambic beer, with its fruit forward profile and the low ABV of under 3% makes it a great sipping and people watching brew. The bartenders are always friendly and willing to chat, given they aren't swamped with other patrons. The take out is just as good as their dine in food, and their attention to detail FOR ANYONE WITH SENSITIVITIES (though I can't guarantee anything) or those like myself who have texture aversions to certain ingredients, they are more than willing to accommodate or substitute. I haven't personally looked into anything gluten-free, so that's something to call ahead for details on. Otherwise I have been coming here both with my family and on my own since... Way before they renovated, Maybe 2002, maybe before. It's been THAT long. The place is literally a "must try" landmark for any visitors to the area, with a minor caveat: sports games and Friday nights. Avoid those two times. It's a mob scene and the wait times become outrageous. Still hoping to get back there soon.

I ordered the Flat Iron Steak Sandwich, and WOW -- absolutely fantastic. The steak was grilled perfectly, tender with great flavor, and the combo of provolone, arugula, au poivre aioli, and the onion nest on a Liscio's long roll really hit all the right notes. Truly delicious. My girlfriend went with the Grilled & Chilled Chicken Caesar and a cup of Butternut Squash Soup. The salad was super fresh, the romaine crisp, and the croutons tasted like they were made in-house -- crunchy, seasoned, and a perfect match for their famous Caesar dressing. The soup had great flavor too, just a touch heavy on the spice (nutmeg maybe?), but still very enjoyable. Because it was a busy Saturday, we were seated upstairs. Our waitress, Kayla, was attentive, friendly, and did a great job keeping up even with the crowd. No complaints there -- she was excellent. My one real critique: the beer list. When we asked about it, Kayla pointed us to a blackboard in the corner of the upstairs dining area. From where we were sitting, it was hard to read -- and honestly a little awkward to get up and try to see. I ended up snapping a quick picture just to figure out what was available. It would be so much more convenient if they offered a printed list at the table or even a QR code you could scan. Because we couldn't easily see the options, I went with a cranberry sangria (which was tasty!) and my girlfriend ordered a cranberry vodka instead of exploring their beer selection. All in all, really good food, great service, and a fun spot before a show. Just fix the beer list situation and this would easily be a five-star visit. Would definitely return!

Apparently new owners and a tweaked menu since July 2025. Only one vague review which wasn't very helpful so we did not know what to expect and excited to try. Eight of us for Friday lunch in a pretty empty restaurant. Nice atmosphere with outside patio seating. Patio faces the patio of PJ Whelihan's which had a big lunch crowd. On to the food...most everyone ordered the tacos. Some choices were a hit (honey shrimp and salmon tacos) and some were not...pulled pork was too dry and a shrimp taco too spicy. I ordered the fiesta bowl with added salmon and cauliflower rice. Glad to have a healthy choice. I "think" it could have been good...however, I kept pulling un-edible stringy scalions out of my mouth which took away from my enjoyment and grossed me out. (I attached a picture). I also was not able to concentrate on our conversation bc I was focused on getting them all out of my bowl and my mouth...there were a lot! I showed it to our server who didn't seem to care. I tried to be helpful and suggested he show it to the chef since it was very disgusting and added nothing to the taste. I cannot imagine anyone wanting to eat those nasty scalions. On a good note, my salmon was good. I can see this being a popular place for a young customer...those who like Taco Bell. After re-reading my own review...I deducted a star. Sorry to the owners however I felt a manager or owner should have come around to our table. Such a shame...we truly wanted to love it. Oh and...good luck with parking!
