We took this boat ride for out holiday lunch and it was a great experience! The boat was nice and spacious and we were able to bring our own food and drinks. The views were great and it was extra special because of all the Christmas lights! Everything felt safe and clean which is always important these days due to Covid. There were just 6 of us in the smaller boat, which was really quite charming, simple and conducive to singing and playing Mom's favorite music on the bluetooth - just what I wanted. We used Prince Charters to scatter our mother's ashes at sea, and couldn't have asked for a better experience during such a difficult time. My brother-in-law made the arrangements with Donna, who was patient and accommodating. On the day-of Captain Doug and his assistant Jack were very kind and helpful. They let us connect to Bluetooth so we could play tunes Mom would've loved, and kept our champagne glasses full. When it was time to say goodbye for the last time, Captain Doug turned off the music, Jack supplied Kleenex, and we watched as they lowered a basket of rose petals and ashes to the water. The boat circled around Mom a few times and they rang the bell. It was the ritual we needed for closure, especially during this pandemic. We can't thank Prince Charters' crew enough for being so sensitive to our loss, and helping us through these tough moments. Hopefully we can book them again for a happier celebration soon. read more

Despite the fact that I was on the verge of being full out sea sick, this was a great experience. In their defense, I should have taken Dramamine before boarding. I just didn't have any time that day to go get some. But even for someone like me who gets all kinds of motion sickness, as long as I was on the deck and not in the cabin, I was alright. We had lots of fun checking out oil islands, seeing sea lions being their lazy selves, hearing Turns, which are supposed to be some protected birds, and learning all kinds of miscellaneous facts. We also got to see the queen Mary and captain Doug told us all kinds of stories to entertain us throughout the ride. Overall super fun and I would highly recommend doing something like this at least once! Just gotta remember to make time to find that Dramamine next time.... read more

I purchased the deal on Social Living and couldn't have been happier with our evening out. The boat was beautiful. Captain Doug and his assistant were knowledgeable, fun and really added to the overall experience. We arrived with no idea what to expect and left relaxed, happy. Wonderful Experience! I had been searching for a place to go sailing as I grew up on the water and hadn't yet found a place to sail since moving to California. From our first contact with Donna, everything was explained to us clearly and accurately. There were no hidden costs. Our check was not cashed until after the burial at sea. The captain and first mate could not have been more friendly, respectful, and helpful. All safety protocols were thoroughly explained as well as the burial at sea process. We were given options regarding the sequence of the dispersal of the ashes. Water and soft drinks were available. We were provided with a clear P.A. System for reading a poem and sharing thoughts. Both the captain and first mate kindly answered our guests' questions regarding buildings, landmarks, history of the area, and the current work done by the U.S. Navy.
