I walked in expecting to pay a good amount of money to fix my glasses since I have before at other places (this time, both arms were wonky and uneven and one was bent but still connected to the hinge). HOWEVER, this was not the case. I gave my glasses to the nice bald and bearded man who examined it and said he understands and can fix it. I asked him for a quote, but he seemed busy inspecting my glasses and walked away as to work on it right then, so I assumed he did not hear me. Then, in only a few minutes (definitely less than 5), he came back out with them, still warm from the repairing. He had me try them on and the glasses sat even on my face (which haven't for a long while and stressed me out often). He then let me know that the service was free. I was shocked! It was the most pleasant surprise as I have previously spent ~$45 for a similar repair or less of the job at other places. I was really grateful, but did not have cash to tip as I would have liked to though he probably would have refused it anyway. I will certainly be referring this spot to friends and family. AH! Best place ever! My glasses broke and I tried calling my normal optical place only for them to not even know their own hours. In panic, my boyfriend and I called places and happen to fall upon Prince! Amazing, fixed me up with new glasses for cheap and they're super cute. Would recommend to anyone! This place is almost always busy!! If you wanna know how long you'll be there, call in and ask if they're busy. It can sometimes be a little disorganized, but other than that, the service is great. In travel from Utah to San Diego I broke my glasses and forgot my car charger at the hotel! Exactly wow, how perfect to find this place! A place to fix my glasses and get a smart phone charger all in one. At first I simply felt very fortunate, when I realized it was all available in one place, but what made it amazing was the superb service, the caring staff, the charming and friendly environment and the lovely setting in which it is located. Among a lot of fun, Middle Eastern sweet shops and markets. And truly the care I received was superb. I was offered many options for chargers, given a great price and the young man who fixed my glasses told me he did not feel it was fair to charge it was only one screw that had fallen off. First let me say that I live in Chula Vista about 3 blocks from a jewelry and eyeglass repair shop. I was considering going there to get my eyeglasses repaired until I read the owner's responses to negative reviews. Apparently with that guy the customer is always wrong. I wasn't going to give some jerk my business so I looked around on yelp for another repair shop and found Prince Wireless & Optical. I sent a message through yelp for a quote after describing my eyeglass situation and sending photos and I got a response back the same day and on a Sunday. I knew it was a simple fix and I was told it would be $5 or free, can't beat that! I went in today since I happened to be in the area and true to their word I wasn't charged, they wouldn't accept any money. The owner (I assume) let me know about their eyeglass lab which they have in house in case I was in need in the future and explained the cost savings. I will definitely give this shop my business for any optical and wireless needs, this is real exceptional customer service. read more

I broke the frame of my glasses a couple of days ago while on vacation. I took them into Costco in Phoenix hoping they could help me, but the optical dept. there told me they would need to be soldered. I read the great reviews for Prince Optical and decided now that we're home to give them a try. There were two gentlemen in the store. The younger one told me that the glasses could be fixed and asked if I could wait for about 5-10 minutes. I waited and chatted with him while the older man took my glasses into the back. In less than ten minutes my glasses were back in my hands frame intact--and I paid NOTHING! The younger man told me that he would usually charge about $5 for the type of repair I needed, but since it was my first time in the store, he was more interested in having me come back again. The store is spotless, and there is a large selection of eyeglass frames on one side, and cell phones and accessories on the other. I will definitely come back here again!
