It was our first time making merchandise in a while, and quality was a priority for us. Originally we tried ordering some samples from somewhere else, an online print-on-demand site. We had heard good things about the convenience of print-on-demand, but when the samples arrived we were really disappointed. The colors were off and muted, smaller text and lines came out blurry, and some of the graphics came out misshapen. We decided to try working with a local print shop instead. I called a few of the bigger print shops in downtown LA that I had heard of, but on the phone I got the impression that they prioritized significantly bigger orders. I felt that my small business needs would not be given as much attention. I turned to Yelp to find an even more local business in the Pasadena area. After reading great reviews for EM Print Studio, I gave them a call. Eli picked up right away and took the time to answer all of my questions on the phone. I was able to send him an image of my design right away. Once we agreed to some of the parameters for the project, he scheduled me in on short notice for an in-person consultation. During the consult, Eli brought examples of the options for printing on t-shirts and explained everything to me. As someone who is new to making t-shirts, I found it extremely helpful to be able to see it in-person and also feel the texture of the garments. Eli was generous with his time and it was clear he knew his stuff. I felt confident that my order would be in good hands. He sent over a quote that same day and turned around my order in record time. After we had wasted all that time with the print-on-demand company, we were behind on our timeline to get the shirts to our students but thanks to Eli we got it done. The quality of the shirts is amazing. Truly a night-and-day difference from the print-on-demand samples. The colors are bright and every detail looks crisp and clean. Exactly what we were hoping for. The…read moreimage I originally provided was bright and vibrant, but the final product turned out extremely dark -- even in natural lighting. It looks nothing like the original image I submitted. When we discussed shirt color options, I mentioned not using white. He told me gray would "bleed through," but I was not given a clear explanation or shown any examples of what that would actually look like. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that the entire print would come out this dark. What's confusing is that in his shop display, he has prints on black, red, and navy shirts -- and those images appear bright and close to their original quality. There were no examples displayed showing what "bleed through" looks like, which would have helped set expectations before I approved the order. When I expressed that I was unhappy with the result, instead of offering to reprint the design on a white shirt as a courtesy, I was told I would need to pay $20 for reprinting (though he said he wouldn't charge for the $5 shirts). As a disappointed customer, it felt frustrating to be asked to pay more to correct something I didn't fully understand would happen. I highly recommend anyone considering using this business to ask very detailed questions about how your image will appear on different shirt colors and request to see real examples beforehand. Pretty terrible experience. I tried to set up an order I was…read morehoping to pick up 5 days later. This was already considered a rush order that came with additional fees. After spending almost an hour setting up an order on their website (with an AI assistant constantly trying to push stuff on you), there was no confirmation email. I called the next day to see if the order got through. A sleepy gentlemen answered the phone and mumbled apathetically that he'd check and get back to me. He never did. I left a message the next day, asking for a call back to find out if my order had come through. I got a text on my phone the next day, reading: "Thank you for reaching out to The Best Screen Printing company. Please send us your design, when you need it by, size breakdown and quantity for your order at sales@tbsp.la to get a free quick quote.". So we were back to square one, with 3 days just out the window. I emailed them and explained that I had submitted an order through their website days earlier. They emailed back and said they wouldn't honor that order. They told me if I wanted to pick up any t-shirt by Monday, they'd use a lower-quality (!) t-shirt and charge an additional $20 above the additional rush order fees they had already added. I never write reviews, but here I felt compelled to.

I told him that I needed to embroider three lab coats. He had me write on the form what I wanted then showed me the binder with fonts and thread colors. I told him that I wanted Garamond with royal blue thread then he typed it up on his software for me to proofread. He was able to adjust the spacing and it was perfect. Afterwards, he showed me on the lab coat of where it would be then decided to make the size from 4" to 3.5". He reassured me that the seamster will make it look good. I was planning to pay with a credit card but he would have to charge an extra 3% so I paid cash. The price was reasonable and he said the coats will be ready on Wednesday which is only three business days. I appreciate his patience and staying after hours to help me. I called four days later to confirm that the job was ready for pick up and it was. I told the lady what I was picking up and she knew exactly what I was talking about. The job they did was stunning! They do amazing work and provide great customer service. I am definitely a customer for life and I highly recommend this place.
