Ive been using Print Icon for all my printing needs for the past year and a half now and i must say that these guys are consummate masters at what they do. I have been to other well known printing companies in the city only to be disappointed in the quality of my business cards and invitations. Having worked in the field, I know quite a bit about the printing industry and have extensive knowledge of what actually goes into making some amazing prints. I may be going out on a limb to say this, but P.I. is the best print shop in the city considering their printing capabilities and services offered. Super friendly staff who are all knowledgeable and helpful. Vahid, the CEO and President of Print Icon, is a true gentleman who caters to your every need when it comes to getting your dream prints created, whether it be your artwork, business cards or wedding invitations! They offer many different printing and custom services such as letterpress, offset, indigo, foil stamping, gilded edges, perfect and wire binding, coating, laminating, laser cutting, etc... Print Icon does it all!!! Its rare that you see a printing company in Manhattan that has all of these machinery and services! Prices may be somewhat higher than other places (depending on what you need done) but i think it is completely justifiable, considering the amount of time, effort, ink, paper, cutting and constant attention that is needed to complete such grand prints. People must also realize that we are in Manhattan. Its not cheap because it shouldn't be! You are paying for what you get, and what you get from Print Icon, is QUALITY! Rest assured that the money you spent will merely be an afterthought when you see the finished product, whatever it may be... Print Icon's graphic designers (all of whom I have worked with to create different projects) Leon, Isaac, and Max are the quintessential professionals of their field. They are true artists in a sense that they are very crafty in creating beautiful designs and getting colors, fonts, and placements just right for you. I'm always amazed at their ability to turn my ideas to a tangible masterpiece i can share with friends, family and coworkers! I have many friends and coworkers who use and love Print Icon (much to the contrary of some negative reviews I've seen here) and I would definitely encourage anyone in the city looking for quality designs created, or extravagant prints made, to come and visit Print Icon. After speaking with countless of others who have used their services, I feel that a few of bad reviews are not clear or accurate portrayals/representations of this store. It is quite a shame, because Vahid and his crew are extremely honest, kind, fair and most importantly, are committed to hand you the most beautiful prints every time. Most people may not realize that this is a small store with a smaller staff and have to constantly work around many different deadlines and tweaks to print orders. Keep in mind that they charge accordingly, and rightfully so! All in all, Print Icon is the place for you if you want great customer service, fair prices, and some stunning prints made! I designed my sister's wedding invitations, and had them printed here, and they WERE AMAZINGG!!! They were printed letterpress on chipboard and they looked fantastic. They also helped me decide on the best process and paper. I have some familiarity with print and prepress, which always helps when you're starting a printing job, but I think some of the people on here that go on to give them poor reviews are perhaps misdirecting some of their dissatisfaction. I had a great experience with their customer service, so I can only say good things about that, but it also helps when the job goes smoothly. Printing is a pretty finicky field, and there are a lot of things that can go wrong, and it also takes time, most jobs are not same day delivery if you want it done well. It's important to have a little knowledge of what you're doing before you go into it. If things go wrong, it's easy to jump to conclusions and blame the printer, when many times, it can be a problem with the file to begin with (color correction, bleed, etc.). These are things you have to consider when going to a professional print shop. THIS IS NOT KINKO'S! In addition, people complain about pricing, but printing is always a fairly expensive practice, especially when doing letterpress or engraving, or other services that they offer here. So it's important for the customer to be clear about they what they want AND for the print shop to be clear about what they will getting from the beginning, NOT after the job is complete. It's also a pretty hand-on process when you want it done right. I came in for my press check, picked colors, paper, and watched the steps as best I could to make sure it went smoothly, and it did. I started my real estate company in 2006 and since my office is on 20th and 5th ave i walked into print icon to see if they can print my business cards, the person i talked to was Vaheed i guess he is one of the owners, he was patient with me and gave me few different options to choose from, i thought about it and few weeks later i ordered my business cards from them, 3 years later i am still happy that i went with them, since then i ordered from them all my forms and advertising materials, i enjoy working with Vaheed and Shiva and they always help me get things done in my budget, i highly recommend print icon for their nice and warm service. read more

Print Icon is great! A decade ago I went there to print my business cards. Ten years later, the cards still look good, but yes, it was time to get new ones. I went back to Print Icon and I am glad I did. They were more than patient working with my designer to get the color right for digital printing. They worked with me through design changes, were generous and communicative about problems, and on top of that, the owner Vahid was sweet as pie when I brought my four year-old daughter with me while I approved the proof. Print Icon has been in business for 30 years; I have been a customer for almost 15 years. They are the only printer in NYC that I have found that can deliver all the bells and whistles that I usually want ... engraving, indigo, silkscreen, offset and letterpress, with foils, stamps, and complicated bindery.
