    Car being towed.
    Darlean B.

I have trusted Priority Chevrolet to repair my 2005 Suburban since I purchased the car from there. Although many years old, I have maintained the car. I have been pleased with the service until a few weeks ago when charged nearly 2,000 for an oil change, 4 new tires, and to fix the problem with not being able to fill the gas tank. The gas pump shuts off after putting in one gallon of gas as though the tank is full. I was told it was a vent problem and that it was resolved. The next day after getting my car, I had a flat tire on the rear driver's side. I called the dealership and towed my car in. The mechanic who installed the tires mentioned it had something to do with the air stem--totally not right! Two days later, I had another flat but this time on the rear passenger side. It looked like a piece of bone was stuck in the tire. The service department was not open so I called AAA. He had the tire fixed in a jiffy. So I decided to try to fill the tank since I was out. I could not and still could not. I called the dealership but I could not get an appointment for a week. Currently, I have made an appointment with Sprinkle and Williams for 8 July to get a true diagnosis of the problem. I am very disappointed that after calling the dealership, the service manager never returned my call nor have tried to get my car back in without charge to truly fix the issues. Service at Priority is horrible.

I brought my car in for a motor oil pressure issue and when I picked it up the car wouldn't start because the battery was dead and they gave me 1000 excuses on why my car wouldn't start when it was starting just fine when I brought it in 3 days prior. I definitely wouldn't recommend goin there for service

Fantastic customer service, did a trade-in and purchase. Traded Altima for a Chevy Traverse. The sales person compared other vehicles I was interested in from other makes. In other words very knowledgeable so if your in the area looking for a vehicle check them out.

Clearly, I didn't need a car and it didn't make sense to keep paying for something that just sits in the driveway. We decided to sell it. I had read some reviews online that made me nervous. However, I didn't want to deal with selling it ourselves. I also didn't want to trade it in since I don't need a car. The process was easy. We made more than 10k over the pay off amount. They handled all the paperwork and it was mostly stress free. I would have given this a 5-star rating but the waiting around was ridiculous. I don't understand why it took nearly 3 hours to sell a car. It took them 30 minutes just to get the final paperwork together. The employees were friendly and polite. They seemed to really enjoy working together. I'm not sure if I'd ever buy a car from them but if you are in the market for a car or to sell one? Check them out.

I asked if they would replace the tires since they were absolutely not safe, and the rim, and just fix the windshield. They said No. Outright bullcrap!!! They said it was acceptable, when it was clearly Not. As well, not neing picky, but I would have had to spend nearly $2000 dollars plus another 650 for trammy and differential oil change, as soon as I got it, on top of the overpriced sticker they already had on it. I walked out and would highly recommend to Not ever buy a vehicle from them. Liars and bs salesman and managers. I rate them a pure 0 out of 10!!! My experience here drives me to warn any potential customers to be extremely cautious if not avoid entirely. I spent a great deal of time researching what my family needed in a new vehicle, and we eventually landed on a Grand Highlander. We found the specs we wanted at Pearson, but the vehicle was still being built. We were asked to make a $500 deposit and wait an unknown amount of time. After about 2 months, our vehicle was ready, and we made an appointment to pick it up. Before picking up, however, we discussed financing, and Toyota was only willing to consider an APR about 2% higher than other market leaders as well as outside financing, which we already had approved just in case. The catch was that Toyota pulled their military incentive as a penalty for using outside financing. After discussing the key points of the terms I decided not to enter into a contract I find predatory and mildly insulting to which the management basically thumbed their noses and said they'd be able to sell it anyway and keep my deposit. Do not do business with Pearson toyota if it can be avoided. They are aware the current market favors the dealer and they, unfortunately, have chosen to take advantage of potential customers.

Recently, I had oil changes and my State Inspection. Let's see how everything went. For most recent appointments, I went online and reserved dates with no hiccups. Easy peasy. Each appointment went fine with no problems. They would always have suggestions on car upkeep which are very pricey, but for the most part, I declined. Standard procedure everytime I had service. The issue I have with the dealership is how they handled my tires. For every 3,000-5,000 miles, it's suggested to have tire rotations so that the treads are even on each one. Keep in mind, I purchased the car in July 2024. Every time I scheduled for an oil change, they never brought up adding tire rotations. I work in Portsmouth so the drive will wear out the treads, which happened to where I had to replace all 4 tires. Why they never did is anyone's guess. I am glad for my vehicle being serviced, but it's puzzling regarding tire rotation notices (or lack of). This will definitely have be wonder if I should schedule them elsewhere. To be continued....

But, wow this visit was not far off from my last. So I am not sure what Nissian dealerships do in regards to training, but they are doing it all wrong. My husband and I are on the hunt for a third vehicle. We have an 18 year old commuter college student and have found ourselves in a pickle here and there. So we were waiting for December/January time frame to purchase a car. We have been researching cars for a little under a year. At the top of our list was the new Nissan 2025 Armada. We noticed they were offering 0% for Pathfinders. So we went over last week to test drive the pathfinders and an Armada if it was there. When we arrived, we parked and were greeted instantly by Asia. She was great. She had a beautiful black Armada SL available. So we took that for a spin. Both my husband and I loved it. We then took the pathfinder out and almost instantly I was not in love with it. There was nothing wrong with the car itself. It was too similar to my Hyundai Santa Fe. So we walked in to talk numbers about the Armada. That's when things seemed to change. We started talking numbers. Nothing was working for us. The payments were just going to be too high in the end. Could we afford it, yes absolutely. But we done want to have somethings that high that we can not enjoy life as well. They really were not budging. What rubbed me wrong is when Carlos the manager came up. He was trying to direct all his attention to my husband instead of both my husband and I. We both have jobs, we both pay bills. We work together as a team in our household. It is never him against me and vis versa. This happened at the other NIssian dealership. Then he asked my husband, "Well how much do you make? What do your bills look like?" Then joked, like yeah you don't have to tell me that. He wanted and did give my husband advice to pay his care note every two weeks. Sir. Kindly. No. We do not need advice like that. No matter how you make a payment it will always be the same in the end. There were a few more things said, we ended up walking out because we know we can go elsewhere. In the end of things I just wanted to be treated well when buying a car. It should never be like this. This is a fun and exciting time for some. Yes, we are spending a lot of money but, I do not want to roll out of the parking lot with my new car having negatives attached to it. Why is buying a car like this. We had a FANTASTIC experience at the Hyundia dealership. We are going shopping this weekend with our pre approval... that we had when we visited them, this weekend to many other dealerships. We are not pressed. We just want to be treated well and nice.

But, when the customers are buying a car they are buying something that will hold and create memories. Our first Hyundia was a 2017 Santa Fe that we bought while stationed in Oklahoma. That car holds many memories of road trips, military moves, the drive home from the adoption celebration of our two children and so much more. Last night we had nothing but the best at Southern Hyundia in Newport News. When we arrived we walked up. The goofy family of four that we are. As we approached the doors, Joel popped on out. He was as jolly as could be ready to help. Now I was already nervous walking in to start this process as we just had a negative experience at a different local dealership for a different brand 6 days prior. So I was slightly expecting the same service. Joel proved us wrong in just under a minute that he was here to help this family of four. He greeted us, introduced himself, then asked for all our names. He shook our hand including my children which is a major plus in my book. He heard our daughter's name and pronounced it correctly not once but twice. For whatever reason some have trouble with her name. He asked what we were looking at and we began the process. He provided us with a lot of information about Hyundia, what they offer, what comes with a purchase and so on. He knows his stuff. He showed us the palisades that we wanted to see. He explained all the trims he had. He not only spoke to my husband but me as well. That is a big deal to me. My husband and I work together not separate. We make decisions together. He was engaging with our children the whole time. Our test drive was fantastic. Simple and painless. We were able to test drive just us as a family of four. Joel stayed back and let us go to town. We were able to be comfortable and have candid conversations in the car while I drove around. When we got back we were ready to talk numbers, sign that dotted line many times and go home with our new family vehicle. Joel got our kiddos set up in the lounge with snacks, coffee and water... don't judge they are 13 and 18 LOL. He got my husband set up with a coffee and took care of me as well. We sat down and went through the process. We're were greeted a few times by different employees. It began to feel more like a business deal with family. I liked that the "numbers" were processed through in an open area behind a few glass windows. Made it feel more transparent. Once we talked numbers and settled on something we were set. We headed into Chris B.'s office. He was the money man. He got us all set up, was very thorough in his work. There was a video we had to watch and engage with. I personally had no problem with it. It made me more informed. Chris was professional and engaging the whole process. He made sure we were taking care of. When we negotiated a few times not once did he seem annoyed or irritated. He did his job, but was positive and respectful in all his approaches. Hyundia itself seems to care. We had the same top notch service in Oklahoma. Almost identical. We actually became friends with our sales associate so much so that I sent her a text once I was home about our new ride. She was excited for us. As we were going through the whole process I was looking for signs that this is what we should be doing. I've been doing that for a very long time. Last night was one sign after another. Without going into details, cliff note version... Maine, children, college, military, retired military, and much more. In the end we purchased a 2026 Hyundia Palisade Calligraphy Edition in creamy white. Now I shall go grab myself my emotional support water bottle, a blankie and sit on the couch... to read the manual to our new whip! I highly recommend Southern Hyundia in Newport News. If you go I hope you're blessed to work with Joel and Chris B.

I got back what I consider to be a snotty, condescending reply, that said, "And no sir.. I would not sell a 14 year old car to someone sight unseen. It's a very inexpensive car with very low mileage - it will sell quickly." (According to the Carfax, the first owner owned the car for eight years, and the second owner owned the car for five years, and the odometer reading was only 26,100 miles). Michael Dye was the person I was communicating with. As a customer, regardless, of where I am geographically located, when a salesman tells me to "jump" I turn and walk. And that's what I did. Every car I've purchased for 25 years was done either through the Internet or over the telephone and I never had any problem with any dealer in accomplishing that, nor did I ever have any problems with the various cars that I purchased that way. But Mike Dye summarily dismissed me like I was not a serious buyer. He lost a sale. In all good conscience, I could never recommend anybody who would treat a serious customer the way Mike Dye treated me.
