Clearly, I didn't need a car and it didn't make sense to keep paying for something that just sits in the driveway. We decided to sell it. I had read some reviews online that made me nervous. However, I didn't want to deal with selling it ourselves. I also didn't want to trade it in since I don't need a car. The process was easy. We made more than 10k over the pay off amount. They handled all the paperwork and it was mostly stress free. I would have given this a 5-star rating but the waiting around was ridiculous. I don't understand why it took nearly 3 hours to sell a car. It took them 30 minutes just to get the final paperwork together. The employees were friendly and polite. They seemed to really enjoy working together. I'm not sure if I'd ever buy a car from them but if you are in the market for a car or to sell one? Check them out.

I asked if they would replace the tires since they were absolutely not safe, and the rim, and just fix the windshield. They said No. Outright bullcrap!!! They said it was acceptable, when it was clearly Not. As well, not neing picky, but I would have had to spend nearly $2000 dollars plus another 650 for trammy and differential oil change, as soon as I got it, on top of the overpriced sticker they already had on it. I walked out and would highly recommend to Not ever buy a vehicle from them. Liars and bs salesman and managers. I rate them a pure 0 out of 10!!! Dont buy from these people because they will absolutely rip you off!!!!

My experience here drives me to warn any potential customers to be extremely cautious if not avoid entirely. I spent a great deal of time researching what my family needed in a new vehicle, and we eventually landed on a Grand Highlander. We found the specs we wanted at Pearson, but the vehicle was still being built. We were asked to make a $500 deposit and wait an unknown amount of time. After about 2 months, our vehicle was ready, and we made an appointment to pick it up. Before picking up, however, we discussed financing, and Toyota was only willing to consider an APR about 2% higher than other market leaders as well as outside financing, which we already had approved just in case. The catch was that Toyota pulled their military incentive as a penalty for using outside financing. After discussing the key points of the terms I decided not to enter into a contract I find predatory and mildly insulting to which the management basically thumbed their noses and said they'd be able to sell it anyway and keep my deposit. Do not do business with Pearson toyota if it can be avoided. They are aware the current market favors the dealer and they, unfortunately, have chosen to take advantage of potential customers.

Recently, I had oil changes and my State Inspection. Let's see how everything went. For most recent appointments, I went online and reserved dates with no hiccups. Easy peasy. Each appointment went fine with no problems. They would always have suggestions on car upkeep which are very pricey, but for the most part, I declined. Standard procedure everytime I had service. The issue I have with the dealership is how they handled my tires. For every 3,000-5,000 miles, it's suggested to have tire rotations so that the treads are even on each one. Keep in mind, I purchased the car in July 2024. Every time I scheduled for an oil change, they never brought up adding tire rotations. I work in Portsmouth so the drive will wear out the treads, which happened to where I had to replace all 4 tires. Why they never did is anyone's guess. I am glad for my vehicle being serviced, but it's puzzling regarding tire rotation notices (or lack of). This will definitely have be wonder if I should schedule them elsewhere. To be continued....

But, wow this visit was not far off from my last. So I am not sure what Nissian dealerships do in regards to training, but they are doing it all wrong. My husband and I are on the hunt for a third vehicle. We have an 18 year old commuter college student and have found ourselves in a pickle here and there. So we were waiting for December/January time frame to purchase a car. We have been researching cars for a little under a year. At the top of our list was the new Nissan 2025 Armada. We noticed they were offering 0% for Pathfinders. So we went over last week to test drive the pathfinders and an Armada if it was there. When we arrived, we parked and were greeted instantly by Asia. She was great. She had a beautiful black Armada SL available. So we took that for a spin. Both my husband and I loved it. We then took the pathfinder out and almost instantly I was not in love with it. There was nothing wrong with the car itself. It was too similar to my Hyundai Santa Fe. So we walked in to talk numbers about the Armada. That's when things seemed to change. We started talking numbers. Nothing was working for us. The payments were just going to be too high in the end. Could we afford it, yes absolutely. But we done want to have somethings that high that we can not enjoy life as well. They really were not budging. What rubbed me wrong is when Carlos the manager came up. He was trying to direct all his attention to my husband instead of both my husband and I. We both have jobs, we both pay bills. We work together as a team in our household. It is never him against me and vis versa. This happened at the other NIssian dealership. Then he asked my husband, "Well how much do you make? What do your bills look like?" Then joked, like yeah you don't have to tell me that. He wanted and did give my husband advice to pay his care note every two weeks. Sir. Kindly. No. We do not need advice like that. No matter how you make a payment it will always be the same in the end. There were a few more things said, we ended up walking out because we know we can go elsewhere. In the end of things I just wanted to be treated well when buying a car. It should never be like this. This is a fun and exciting time for some. Yes, we are spending a lot of money but, I do not want to roll out of the parking lot with my new car having negatives attached to it. Why is buying a car like this. We had a FANTASTIC experience at the Hyundia dealership. We are going shopping this weekend with our pre approval... that we had when we visited them, this weekend to many other dealerships. We are not pressed. We just want to be treated well and nice.

I have been a customer with Priority Chevy for nearly 10 years, and I used to love this dealership and the way they treated customers. However, the years have passed and the management and ownership has changed so much that the place is NOTHING like it used to be. I took my 2018 GMC Terrain in on Friday morning at 9:30 due to the AC compressor going out and the battery needing to be replaced. I bought the car with the AUL lifetime warranty, so all I'm required to pay is a $100 deductible for any repairs, but unfortunately the battery (special for auto-off vehicles) is not covered under that warranty. Nevertheless, they said they would start fixing the car and it would be ready no later than close of business on Monday. Monday came, and I heard nothing from the service advisor, so I called. Samantha told me that she was finishing up some paperwork and would hopefully be done within a couple of hours. 5pm came and my friend graciously offered to drive me to the dealership to pick up my car. On the way there, Samantha called and informed me that she couldn't release the vehicle to me today, because they were waiting on AUL to pay them for their portion of the repair. I tried to reason with her and demanded she call Matthew, the manager, to get this resolved. It's hard enough to go one day without a vehicle, but to go five days without one is near impossible for someone in my situation. Samantha informed me that Matthew told her to not release the vehicle to me until AUL pays their portion. When I asked to speak with him, he couldn't be bothered to answer his phone again. What kind of place is open until 6pm but doesn't have an authority figure available on-call? Mind you, I've done ALL my vehicles' maintenance and repairs with Priority, so they know I can be trusted as a customer to make sure they get paid. Additionally, they knew I was able to pay my $525 portion of the bill on the spot. Couldn't that have at least been a down payment on the bill? A guarantee at least? At this point I became very frustrated and shared some not-so-pleasant feelings with Samantha. She walked into the main dealership to speak to the general manager, she came back out with the same answer as I was told earlier. So, I walked into see the general manager myself. Again, some not-so-pleasant words were said, as he responded, "there's nothing I can do". I again returned to Samantha to see what else could be done and to demand, once again, to speak with Matthew. Surprise... he refused to answer his phone. At this point, I was so heated and angry I just had to leave, before things got out of hand. As a loyal customer, I can't believe this is how I'm treated. I've never owed them a debt, and I've never left there without paying them what they are owed. I've bought three cars from them, and I've sent numerous others to them for car sales. Literally, my best friend bought a $70,000, top-of-the-line Silverado from them because of my advice. On top of that, the service department is the only people who have ever touched that engine or anything under the hood. So, to say I was pissed... yeah I think most people would be in my situation. There is NO reason my car couldn't have been handed back over to me on Monday. Why make a loyal customer come back up to the store one day later JUST TO PAY!?!? Isn't the nearly $100,000 in vehicles I've bought from you enough? Why was the fact that I was able to pay the $525 on spot not enough for them to be able to hand over my keys with a simple gentleman's agreement? I don't care how nice Gil is or was when he sold me my vehicles, the rest of the dealership and its management are TERRIBLE and unwilling to work with long-standing customers like myself. From this day forward, I will do everything possible to AVOID going to this dealership for anything other than my lifetime oil changes and inspections. Heck, I may even try going to another Priority location just to avoid this place entirely. The fact that the managers were useless and unwilling to work with me and my situation is enough for me to NEVER go back here for another vehicle. So, stay away. Don't get a car from here. Don't get your car serviced here. The experience sucks and so does their treatment of customers.

I had made an appointment here for a state inspection and waited in customer lounge for 5 hours for it to be completed. I've never had to wait 5 hours for a state inspection before. By hour 3 or 4 I had received an email notice from here saying that I needed to pay $65 for a little lightbulb over my license plate or my car would fail the inspection. At this point I just wanted it to be over so I approved it. The next hour my phone dies and I go to the service office to let them know and the guy there asks his coworker for update on my car and she kinda starts talking like she's flustered and annoyed saying it's a state inspection and that's why it's taking so long. And I'm confused because I've been waiting patiently the whole time and I did not yell or have an attitude with anyone. But I just let them know my phone has died and I just need someone to come let me know when my car is finished. When my car was finished the guy did come get me and he did apologize for the bad experience which I appreciated. This was my first time here and I feel like they should work on having better communication with the customers. I understand things happen but it would have been better if the service office let customers waiting in the lounge know what's going on with the delays. Also maybe they could add a phone charging stand to customer lounge and maybe some free water bottles with their company logo idk just a thought. But they do offer free coffee though

But, when the customers are buying a car they are buying something that will hold and create memories. Our first Hyundia was a 2017 Santa Fe that we bought while stationed in Oklahoma. That car holds many memories of road trips, military moves, the drive home from the adoption celebration of our two children and so much more. Last night we had nothing but the best at Southern Hyundia in Newport News. When we arrived we walked up. The goofy family of four that we are. As we approached the doors, Joel popped on out. He was as jolly as could be ready to help. Now I was already nervous walking in to start this process as we just had a negative experience at a different local dealership for a different brand 6 days prior. So I was slightly expecting the same service. Joel proved us wrong in just under a minute that he was here to help this family of four. He greeted us, introduced himself, then asked for all our names. He shook our hand including my children which is a major plus in my book. He heard our daughter's name and pronounced it correctly not once but twice. For whatever reason some have trouble with her name. He asked what we were looking at and we began the process. He provided us with a lot of information about Hyundia, what they offer, what comes with a purchase and so on. He knows his stuff. He showed us the palisades that we wanted to see. He explained all the trims he had. He not only spoke to my husband but me as well. That is a big deal to me. My husband and I work together not separate. We make decisions together. He was engaging with our children the whole time. Our test drive was fantastic. Simple and painless. We were able to test drive just us as a family of four. Joel stayed back and let us go to town. We were able to be comfortable and have candid conversations in the car while I drove around. When we got back we were ready to talk numbers, sign that dotted line many times and go home with our new family vehicle. Joel got our kiddos set up in the lounge with snacks, coffee and water... don't judge they are 13 and 18 LOL. He got my husband set up with a coffee and took care of me as well. We sat down and went through the process. We're were greeted a few times by different employees. It began to feel more like a business deal with family. I liked that the "numbers" were processed through in an open area behind a few glass windows. Made it feel more transparent. Once we talked numbers and settled on something we were set. We headed into Chris B.'s office. He was the money man. He got us all set up, was very thorough in his work. There was a video we had to watch and engage with. I personally had no problem with it. It made me more informed. Chris was professional and engaging the whole process. He made sure we were taking care of. When we negotiated a few times not once did he seem annoyed or irritated. He did his job, but was positive and respectful in all his approaches. Hyundia itself seems to care. We had the same top notch service in Oklahoma. Almost identical. We actually became friends with our sales associate so much so that I sent her a text once I was home about our new ride. She was excited for us. As we were going through the whole process I was looking for signs that this is what we should be doing. I've been doing that for a very long time. Last night was one sign after another. Without going into details, cliff note version... Maine, children, college, military, retired military, and much more. In the end we purchased a 2026 Hyundia Palisade Calligraphy Edition in creamy white. Now I shall go grab myself my emotional support water bottle, a blankie and sit on the couch... to read the manual to our new whip! I highly recommend Southern Hyundia in Newport News. If you go I hope you're blessed to work with Joel and Chris B.

I got back what I consider to be a snotty, condescending reply, that said, "And no sir.. I would not sell a 14 year old car to someone sight unseen. WARNING! Avoid PRIORITY LEXUS NEWPORT NEWS! I would avoid this dealership. 20/20 hindsight, I…read moreshould have leased my GX 550 either from the Lexus dealership in Richmond, VA or waited until I moved. This is a shady, unscrupulous dealership from the sales side, to finance to service. Here are my issues: * When I leased my SUV, I knew I had good credit. My credit score was over 750 so it should warrant low interest rate/money factor. During the leasing process, I kept asking as to what my money factor would be and they kept pushing it off saying it will be covered by the finance person. There was a reason for that. * When I met with the finance person, he told me the money factor was at .0038 which is very high. That's equivalent to like 9.12% interest rate. I asked him very specifically if the dealership was adding an additional amount (markup) to the money factor because I have heard of dealerships doing that to profit more off of the sale/lease of the car. He told me "no, they are not doing that." Then I pushed it further by asking if that .0038 money factor came directly from Lexus/Toyota financial and he confirmed it was. Well, after taking my new lease home, I did some research for Toyota and Lexus and found out that dealerships commonly do mark up the money factor on a lease above the manufacturer's based money factor or called the buy rate to increase their profits. I was livid. Not necessarily because of the markup but because I felt lied to. The following Monday, I contacted the dealership and asked my sales rep to have the General Manager of the dealership contact me. I was upset because this finance manager lied to my face not one, but twice. After hearing this, the dealership contacted me back and told me that they will have me come back to re-sign a new lease with a much better money factor. It would be .0028 versus the original .0038. That lowered the interest rate from that 9.12% down to a 6.72%. Do I believe for one minute that my money factor/interest rate couldn't be even lower than that, no. They have shown their ability to be shady, unscrupulous, act like your stereotypical car dealership. Scamming people to no ends. * And most recently, I took my new GX 550 into service because a black plastic trim around my side window was warping. Initially, the service manager tried to blame me questioning what had happened or what I did. I told her nothing I did caused this...and there's no way to damage a 2" part of the trim on the inner side without damaging more of that area. She then proceeded to ask if I had looked over the car carefully before taking possession and I told her I looked it over but did not look at every single part of the car to ensure nothing was wrong. C'mon. The part that I am speaking of is only about $106 retail. She stated should would send the pics to Lexus and see what they say. Over a $106 part? Then I asked the service person how much it would cost me to replace that part with labor and quoted me $340. Another Lexus dealership quoted me only $150 to replace that part. Again, very shady dealership. It's apparent to me that this high end luxury dealership does not value its customers. If they had done the right things each of these times, they could have earned a repeat customer for the future. Instead, I question their business practices and I also question Lexus. It may be enough to keep me from buying/leasing a Lexus again. Long story short, if you don't want to get ripped off or treated badly, go to any other Lexus dealership. Do NOT go to PRIORITY LEXUS NEWPORT NEWS. Don't buy a car from them...don't take it to their service department.
