I thought Priority was how they thought of their customers....but was I wrong! Priority means selling with the least amount of effort. Their used cars do not have a sticker price. So as I was looking the salesman kept telling me to look on my phone to find the price myself. Also, many of the cars were not detailed inside. One smelled so badly I couldn't even sit inside. Priority means buying their gimmick instead of a quality used car. The cars were way above blue book which I thought was a negotiating tactic. Nope...the sales manager said it was because they offer priorities for life and no other dealership does. Please...all dealerships offer incentives and gimmicks tp get you to buy their vehicle...so just make reasonable offers! Well, how about you lost my business for life. Why make an appointment? I show up early for a simple oil change and tire rotation, but after an hour of waiting, my car was not even pulled in for them to start the work. I try to avoid less than flattering reviews as I would rather lift up businesses that are exceptional rather than complain. The service practices at Priority Hyundai have declined over time. We someone makes p an appointment for service (an oil change and state inspection) there is no reason why the wait should be 2.5 hours upon check in at your prearranged time. When questioning the wait the service advisor told me the appointment time is a scheduled time to see the service advisor and check in not an appointment for service. Really! I have been waiting 90 minutes past my appointed time and my vehicle is not even in a service bay yet. Can someone please explain how this type of appointment system works? I took my 2 year old vehicle in for maintenance. I was told I needed belts replaced. It would cost $277.00. I took my vehicle to my mechanic, and I was told the belts were fine. I figured as much because the car has 44k miles on it. When I asked the service manager about this, he said he was glad I got a second opinion. Huh??? Don't take your car here. I went to Priority Hyundai to test drive and buy a new Elantra. Sales man Mike Habib used the features of the Elantra SEL and SEL Convenience Package (emphasizing heated seats among other features like the wireless device charging, etc) as selling points and told us the car should be available in about 4 weeks. AFTER signing the contract and a $1000 down payment, he told us the car will not be available before the end of November which would be 7 or 8 weeks and what I agreed to will not include the Convenience Package. (that would now be $900 more) And he doesn't remember mentioning the Convenience package or it's features before i signed the contract. hhhmm, wonder how i learned about them? SHOP AROUND!! They get you with the free oil changes for life but they cut corners on their used cars that will end up costing more in the end!!! Have some serious buyers remorse. I wish I had shopped around more. The Tires on the 2017 used Hyundai Tucson are very old. There's no record of Priority ever changing the tires, the car was one of Priorities Leases so they had the car since 2016 and assured me they took excellent care of the car. Now wondering what else they cut corners on. I've experienced tire pressure issues since I bought the car and now have a flat tire less than a month after buying. I called Rob the sales manger basically told me tough, you can bring it in for us to look at it.. The next appointment isn't till February.. Now I'm probably going to have to pay for 4 new tires when I'm already struggling to pay the bills. So disappointed, I should have looked at the tires better.. Before you do any business with this company read this. HUGE PROBLEM OVER $100 !!! In April 2012, I drove my mom to Priority Hyundai to look at vehicles. My mom had just lost her 39 year old son to a heart attack & 92 year old mother within two months of each other. Pressing thru all heartache, she found a vehicle she was interested in. She test drove it around the parking lot. Then she was asked to put a deposit of $100 down to hold the vehicle. She went inside and put down a $100. bill. Her receipt was the back of a salesmans card that stated, 'Check $100. (vehicle)'. The next day she called and said she wasn't 100% sure that was the right vehicle. Said she was coming to pick up the money, but salesman stated don't worry we will send you a check. Three months go by and no check. Mom calls back and told, don't worry we got your money just com on in. 11July2012 went to Priority Hyundai, spoke to salesman and told come back tomorrow checking on it. 12July2012 went to Priority Hyundai salesman off was told they were still checking on it. 13July2012 went to Priority Hyundai spoke to salesman and said they need a receipt. I handed him the salesmans card that read 'Check $100 (vehicle)' he said that's not it. Manager refused to return $100 that was given to them over 3 months ago without a carbon copy receipt. There was no carbon copy receipt given. Even when the salesman admits to taking the $100 dollars and even asks his manager if he can go the ATM and return the cash from his own account, if he could be reimbursed. Still manager refuses to do what is right, despite his employee acknowledging he took the money. Priority Hyundai is holding my elderly moms money hostage, all the while she is still grieving the loss of her son & mother. SHAME SHAME SHAME ON PRIORITY HYUNDAI!!!!!!!! I try to refrain from using one stars unless it's to caution others from shady practices; I would be very careful about leasing here. The initial return was relatively painless and they warned us about the 400$ return fee that Hyundai scams everyone on when they lease a Hyundai (its a Hyundai problem, not the dealerships). However, we had two major problems after the return. First, we accidentally left a few small things with the car: an EZ Pass, 2 Seat Buddy's (love those things), and our plates. We called immediately to get them back, left a message, and we never received a response. After calling them several times and being told we'd get a call back, that we never received, we called Hyundai proper, who then called them and left a message for us. They still have not called back and we are out an additional 50$ worth of stuff -- not the end of the world, but quite annoying nonetheless. Second, they scam you on tires when you return. We returned our car with less than 40k miles and they claimed that 3 tires had to be replaced, despite the fact that they were regularly rotated. This cost an extra 200+ bucks. When I said I'd like the tires (as they fit my current car, which needed some new tires) they refused. Additionally, they also overcharged us on some of the bodywork, charging us much more than the phone rep explained it would be. All in all, I'll see if a filing with the BBB does anything, but don't waste your time on this dealership. I know I won't. The funny thing is that I'm in the market for a new car, and if they had have handled this appropriately, I would have considered buying from their sister-dealership, Priority Toyota. I made a purchase from them in May 2014. Within 30 days ( Still under warranty ) I needed the radiator replaced, which had a leak. They replaced free of charge. Later, my transmission went out. I took it to them and they said they couldn't fix it! Told me to take it somewhere else. I did, a radiator & transmission specialist, who said the cause of my transmission damage was a result of the radiator they installed. They would not accept responsibility. Three weeks of trying to call and talk to someone in charge - everyone kept saying " This is out my pay scale" They stuck me with the $3800 bill. So unprofessional. I find it great the this dealership has free inspections and oil changes however they take a really long time. I'm not one to just come up and drop my car off and hope it gets done within an hour. I always make sure to make an appointment for my services. I just feel like it is ridiculous that the employees can't give me an estimated time on how long I'll be waiting. I made an appointment for my state inspection and oil change in one day and they can't give a time it will be done. This to me is a little disappointing. read more

I would say worst experience ever and do your research before purchasing a car! In 2019, I purchased a 2017 Hyundai Tuscan from Priority Hyundai on military highway, Chesapeake, va. I received free oil changes and I have a life time warranty on the engine. I would take the car to the dealership for oil changes; however, I would also go to take-5 sometimes for faster service. In May 2021, the engine blew because of a missing oil plug and I was advised by the service representative, who still works there today, that the engine would cost over $8000 dollars to fix. The representative also informed me that I could not use my warranty. After explaining to the sales representative that I received my last oil change from take-5 , he informed me that Take-5 should be responsible for the engine. I contacted take-5 and they would not accept responsibility to which I came to find out why. Fast forward a year later, after obtaining an attorney and losing, I tried to trade the car in and was advised that there was a big lawsuit against Hyundai for defective motors. I ended up contacting the Hyundai corporate office, who advised me to take my car to another dealership. Also, after a year of my car sitting on military highway's parking lot they told me I could come get the car, it was drivable. I ended up taking the car to Hyundai on Western branch blvd where they completed the recommended testing to the car, and I was approved a new engine, free of charge!!! I am supposed to receive free oil changes and state inspections but I will never return to the dealership on military highway as I know they were trying to get over!!!!!!! read more

Took my vehicle for a diagnostic to determine why the airbag light was on. I was advised I needed a new clock spring and that they had one in stock. I was also advise I needed a new rear wiper blade. I authorized the repairs and picked up my vehicle a short time later that day.The very next day my airbag light come back on so I called and my service advisor ask me to bring the vehicle back. I was able to drop my vehicle off to them on Saturday and did not hear back from them until I called on Monday requesting an update. To make a long story short, the service I had just paid for on Thursday was in fact NOT done and I was further advised the part they told me they replaced wasn't the part I needed to begin with. Since my initial service advisor was off I was working with another advisor who stated they would install the correct part and the money I had already paid would go towards that service or they could offer a refund. I lost all trust in them to do any work since I had already paid for and signed papers for work that had not been done at all. I am just glad I didn't shrug it off thinking it was just a glitch in the airbag light because that could of cost me more money in the long run. Now I'm stuck trying to figure out if there are any good service departments I can trust to do the work Priority Hyundai didn't do. And even though they gave me a refund this never should of happened. Imagine how many other people are riding around thinking they had work done by them that wasn't done. read more

Had a scheduled appointment today at 10 for an oil change and a state inspection. My car wasn't ready until 5:15, more than 7 hours later. Was told it was due to short staffing. Then I get in my car, state inspection still shows it expires this month. I go back in and speak to the service writer who stated there was no order for a state inspection. I pull up my appointment confirmation and show him and all he can say is oh, well it wasn't what we went over this morning and the best they could do was get it in first thing in the morning. No apology, no sorry for wasting your time, nothing. I can see why their short staffed if this is how the office runs. Can't their systems see what the appointment was made for since it was listed on my confirmation report? So it literally took 7+ hours for a scheduled oil change, it's mind boggling. Just poor service all around and this is how it's been every time I come here. I will never purchase another vehicle with this dealership. read more

There are not enough characters in the world that will describe the horror of this place. First of all- I was crazy enough to buy my car from them because I fell for the "Priorities For Life." Yeah, right. Sales team was pushy (but I guess all sales personnel are) but the real problem is with the service department. The people who check you in outside are great, but that's where it stops. The service members are rude and you can tell they don't want to be there. Appointment or not, you're waiting for at least three hours even for a simple inspection or oil change. And the kicker- "topping off my fluids" instead of changing them which has caused my car more problems then not. I would rather take my car elsewhere and pay rather than ever come back here again. read more

I'd give negative starts if I could! On February 13th 2021 I had an appointment at 8am for an oil change and the state inspection for my 2009 Hyundai Sonata. I was advised I needed new wiper blades (which I had just replaced, but whatever, they were like $10 at Walmart ‍) and the big ticket item: I needed to replace break pads and resurface rotors. Only the front ones though, as it's stated on the invoice copy ending in 984. Which btw ended in a whopping (ultimately financed) $500 even. Two weeks, after I start hearing a noise of rubbing metal when I hit my breaks, I call to try and get an appointment to get them checked. I was told nothing was available until April 3rd 2021 when I'd have an appointment at 8:40am, i take it since working from home means I really just drive on the weekends. The appointment took around 3hrs until someone came back to me and informed me that they couldn't find anything and that apparently the noise was "normal" due to the "moisture in the air", you know end of Winter, beginning of Spring kinda BS. I, being a female severely under educated in vehicles' mechanics, believed their words and took off . I got no receipt nor estimate of repairs/services because there was allegedly nothing wrong. Another more week goes by and as the noise intensifies and now persists even when I'm not hitting the breaks, I call again to schedule another appointment because I'm growing concerned (as have my neighbors who advised I needed new breaks ) that something is definitely not right and that I was too naive believe the humidity BS. They tell me again there's no availability and the next one would be today May 15th 2021 at 10am. So I get there, they have me sign a copy of the service provided in February because apparently I didn't sign it even though I did sign the financing and obviously have a copy of the invoice, and at around 11am someone comes and lets me know that apparently the issue is that my rear break pads are virtually non existent, that at this point it's breaking metal on metal so much that even the rotors have been eroded into. Pretty much this car has been breaking because of the fancy new front breaks and the love of Jesus Christ. To fix this will cost another almost $600 and I'd either need to leave my car, and pray that the same Holy Spirit that has been breaking, has the parts available prior to EOB so they can fix it today or I'd have to come back Monday or Tuesday, "whatever works best for you". I decide I need another estimate, $600 is kinda high and probably would need another financing given I'm still paying the first set of breaks from back in February. Before leaving I'm asked to sign a document that states I've been informed of the issue and that they advise against driving in this condition as it is unsafe. Like I don't already know this and have just been trying to get my car checked for the past 3 months just to come spend 3-4hrs waiting on another $500 estimate! I ask also to please be provided with a copy of the record of my visit back in April and when they hand me a copy it says that I "declined services". I ask the lady that gave me the document to give me a copy of what is it that I allegedly declined or that I needed (which was nothing, remember, the humidity? ) but she explains there's no record of it and that it could have been that the tech mentioned it to the advisor but they forgot to log it(?)(Internally screams: What The Actual F). It took all the power in me to not demand for a manager, when I should have. I hope this review gets seen by either that manager or someone even higher and takes the proper measures for the incompetency and disregard for my safety from whoever said I didn't need anything or malpractice from whoever checked the car and didn't notice or omitted to mention the back breaks also needed attention. I mainly didn't ask for a manager because I was already feeling the blood boiling inside my veins and didn't wanna go internet famous because of this. So here's this review, which I'll post on every single available platform I can, so other users may revise what they believed were pleasant and efficient interactions and maybe reconsider. Really disappointed with my oil change service that I received. When I arrived, the place was just in utter chaos and unorganized. It took 5-10 minutes just for someone to ask for my last name and the service I scheduled. The oil change itself took roughly 5-6 hours as well as other "inspections" that were done to my car. Once I went back to the dealership to get my car, the representative that checked me out with all of my paperwork had no idea what they were talking about. I asked if there were any issues found during the "inspection" and the response was "Im assuming nothing, they didn't tell me anything and there's nothing on the paperwork" or essentially "I don't know." This was crucial to know considering the next day I was going on a long road trip and needed to make sure my car was able to make it. After all of this, the representative gives me the wrong keys to my car, the wrong paperwork, and the wrong price that we negotiated beforehand. Thankfully, I noticed the wrong car key but never realized the wrong price and wrong paperwork/information until it was too late. I did receive a refund, but was so fed up with the place that I didn't bother asking for the right paperwork. After all of this mess, the representative just tells me to go look for my car and points in a general direction of where it was. That was not the case. My car was near the middle of the lot surrounded by new cars, for whatever odd reason. I will never be going back to this dealership!!!!! read more

I was test driving several models but ultimately the mpg won. I purchased a brand new 2018 vehicle from this location last year & the woman who sold me the vehicle was amazing. However In the year that I've had this vehicle the handful of times that I've had to get my SUV serviced left me frustrated. Their customer service in the service department is awful. The first time I had an oil change there I left with my car leaking, had to come in again with my 1 year old & wait 2 hours for them to fix the issue that one of their mechanics caused. Then I had an oil change scheduled that I was depending on taking their shuttle to get back home (which is supposed to be a service they provide). My appointment was scheduled at 3:40 since my mom who's shoulder was dislocated was watching my 1 year old & i didn't want to leave her with my mom for too long & I planned to drop off my car & take the shuttle back home until the car was ready. I call to confirm just to find out that their shuttle service ends at 3:30 which they failed to tell me when i scheduled my appointment & they suggested the shuttle service. So I asked if they had a loaner car for the two hours that my car was being serviced & explained my situation they told me I could pay $45 to rent a car for the day, I told them that it was only for 2 hours not the day & again explained my situation to the second lady that hoped on the phone, they again told me there was nothing they can do but I can reschedule my appointment. This company talks about customer service but this is the worst Hyundai dealership that I have ever had to deal with, they have awful customer service & I don't recommend them. If you're looking for a Hyundai I recommend Hall Hyundai in Western Branch they actually understand what customer service is about. read more

I bought my very first car from a dealership from Priority Hyundai on Friday. I was a nervous wreck! I brought my sister with me because even though I had done a ton of research, knew exactly what I wanted and had gotten pre-approved, I was so scared that I couldn't even think straight. The salesman, James, was very patient, answered all of my questions and was very knowledgeable about the car that I was looking at. The finance guy, Jeff, thought he could get me a better interest rate than the one I came in with and did! It was such a surprise even though I have good credit, I don't have great credit. He was wonderful too with making sure I knew everything about each page that I was signing. And finally, Monica, was absolutely fabulous as well. She explained about the Sirius/XM radio system and Blue Link that my car came with, set up my first maintenance appointment and made sure I was completely comfortable with the whole experience. This could not have gone any better for me and I'm so glad that I didn't go anywhere else. Thank you for getting me into my new Hyundai Elantra GT and thank you for being so patient. Despite not purchasing, someone at Priority filed a fraudulent credit application in my name and I have now received a denial of credit letter. This has lowered my credit score.
